Legend Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Damn, I don't know who to root for, Metallica, Alice In Chains, or Linkin Park; they're all great artists. I think I'll root for LP in the end, though. Did somebody say In The End!? What a twist! Quote

zuben7o7 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Wow, I didn't even know a band could get nominated for a category like that from a live album. Wow. I would have expected New Divide on there well before What I've Done from RTR... especially considering there is absolutely nothing spectacular from that performance whatsoever. Weird listings this year. Check My Brain isn't surprising and I think they should and will win. I think award shows, like the Grammy's, are trying to get away from picking the most "obvious" pick which in this case would probably be Nickelback. But, all these bands are popular, AIC probably the least, so I would hope they would geth the pick. To be honest, I'd love LP to win but I really don't think they deserve it considering this is a live performance against other songs, just doesn't seem to match up. Whether or not they win, I'll expect big backlash no doubt from those other bands' fans. Also, Dave Matthews Band on Best Rock Album? Weird, no? Quote

Linkindude92 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Yeah i hate it they have compition with studio album with live ! 0o but i dont think TU3 will make it, if that would have been any other song from Death Magnetic there was a sure chance but TU3 i dont think so.,, but dont know about Nickelback . NoSunToday Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I'd go for Alice in Chains. The song is fucking awesome! LP would be great as well, but I don't think the'll make it... Quote
GraDoN Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 yeah im pretty sure lp wont get it think its between the 3 'big bands' there Quote
ThePretender Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 i laughed very hard. i mean, come on! new divide was the only single release of the band (and a studio recording) and what i've done, not even a hard rock song ánd in its live version, is nominated? Quote
ShadowThanatos Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) ..Don't know who nominate these thing @@!...Well if they put What I've Done to "Hard Rock" category...well...their ears must be very soft @@! Edited December 3, 2009 by ShadowThanatos Quote
ThePretender Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) May I mention this: Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media (Award to the Artist(s) and/or Producer(s) of a majority of the tracks on the album, or to the individual(s) actively responsible for the concept and musical direction and for the selection of artists, songs and producers, as applicable.) •Cadillac Records (Various Artists) [Music World Music/Columbia] •Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (Various Artists) [A Band Apart/Warner Bros.] •Slumdog Millionaire (Various Artists) [N.E.E.T./Interscope Records] •True Blood (Various Artists) [Elektra] •Twilight (Various Artists) [summit Ent./Chop Shop/Atlantic] Leave Out All the Rest is also on the soundtrack. Fleur de Lys Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 The performance of What I've Done wasn't even anything special, I just hate the way Chester sings "Doooone". Anyway, pretty cool. But they should've picked Bleed It Out, since it was awesome there and it was a single too. Quote
Holden Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) What I've done isn't exactly hard rock and is one of their lighter songs, but I guess it's because it's from their recent album. I'm still stoked anyways!! Edited December 3, 2009 by Holden Quote
NoSunToday Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 What I've done isn't exactly hard rock and is one of their lighter songs That's why the song seems to be misplaced compared to the other nominations. Quote
kidOhri Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 My chips on the table say LP places ahead of Nickelback and Alice wins. Alice In Chains Linkin Park Nickelback Metallica AC/DC i'd agree with that... but i hope LP'll make it, tho... honestly, i wouldn't be too sad, if alice gets it, cause they're really great. it'd be much worse, if nickelback win... Quote
Geki Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I know LP most likely won't win but it's still cool that they are nominated. Quote
ladygaga Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 nickelback wasen't a bad band, but chad's voice is annoying Quote
maik_gianino Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 hey check the links, Photos http://lptimes.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?...=531&page=1 and Video posted by Mike in his blog... http://www.mikeshinoda.com/blog/all/from_my_phone-1 I have hope for this award... remember the next year LP with new CD Warner needs promo to LP Quote
MONDREUS240 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 If they don't win, I'm going to punch a baby... Quote
arbiter Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 (edited) Well, we all know Nickelback will win this one because...they're Nickelback. Not true. They've been nominated five times in the past and have never won one. How's that for not winning because they are Nickelback! I hope Alice in Chains wins. They're the only nominee besides Nickelband who has never won one before and their new album is made of win. And the new line-up deserve to win so that they know just what I've known all along, they are most definitely finally perfect with William Duvall. If AIC don't win, then i hope LP takes it home even though i don't think the nomination makes much sense. Edited December 3, 2009 by arbiter Quote
