MTV Airs Linkin Park Documentary on October 6th

Wow. Tons of LPU clips used everywhere - definitely would make casual fans say WTF is all of this? haha. Love that part of it. MTV did a good job with this - it came out a lot better than I thought it would have.

Looks like they have some good old footage from 1999-2000 era live that we don't have/know of and then there's the THP studio stuff we're all dying for. I wonder how they got the Marc Ostrick stuff from the rehearsals with Slip and Esaul in 1999.

That was pretty cool to watch! Great background music that MTV picked. You know you're a LP fan when you recognize every single one of those rare demos/songs haha.

I know that they've said multiple times that early on some bands treated them horribly on tour but I didn't know until now that one of those bands was The Union Unfderground.

Thanks for the link!

Was a really great thing to watch. Leared a lot about the Band I didn´t know before.... Downside for me was that they totally skipped LIVING THINGS and went straight to The hunting party but meh they probably skipped because of the time limit

I agree, best MTV documentary about the band, I'm honestly amazed they didn't mention the 300 shows in 1 year bullshit fact in this one.

Yeah. Well, they kind of did, when they were talking about how they basically chased Winter around the globe and how everyone was exhausted and miserable after the HT tour. But yeah, this was an exceptional documentary... That picture of Mark Wakefield was cool and it was awesome seeing some old photos of Brad, Phoenix and some of the other guys that I haven't seen before. Everything about this documentary was awesome. All the LPU demos used was a nice touch, too, they fit well.

Wow, amazing documentary, the best LP documentary yet. Very greatly edited, I really liked the moment when LP said "they will fight for this" and they showed Chester acting like he punches Joe. There was many footage that I never seen before, especially those from pre HT era. I think they should use more time on telling about albums after CC. I'm pretty surprised that they didn't tell anything about Reanimation or Recharged, even though one third of the instrumentals playing in the background were from Reanimation. Another thing I never knew about before is Relative Degree.

I think I've never seen these pictures before:

Relative Degree:

Well damn, we actually got the date of the Relative Degree show, LOL. May 17th, 1996. That puts it a lot later than I would have guessed, the earlier descriptions of the show made it sound like they were all like 14 when it happened and that there was a pretty big gap between the end of Relative Degree and the beginning of Xero, but the only other May 17th on a Friday in the early-mid '90s was in 1991, and there's no way Rob was only 12 and playing at the Roxy. He would've been playing drums for like 2 and a half years at that point.

Well I liked the Songs on LT even Lies Greed Misery is a song I enjoy and even loved it live but the Album as a whole was there worst because they just put 12 random songs on it and said there done.... well at least thats my opinion on it :D

They spent the same amount of time talking about MTM, ATS and LT. I would have liked if they went a little more in depth with those albums and maybe had Rick Rubin speak a little bit, similar to what Don Gilmore did, etc. Would have been cool.

And many excerpts from Wroclove! Maybe they record full show and this will be next Live Album? :3

Nah, no way, looks like just something that MTV recorded.

Yeah. Well, they kind of did, when they were talking about how they basically chased Winter around the globe and how everyone was exhausted and miserable after the HT tour.

The 300 shows "fact" is completely untrue, I think I've explained it at least 2 times in detail on this board before. It's roughly 300 shows for all the 1998 to 2001 shows we know about combined. 300 shows in 1 year is also completely impossible, especially touring worldwide.

The winter thing is true for the most part but they also spent a good 3 months in the US in the summer in 2001.
