  1. I am not liking the sound of that mash-up if it is any indication that Victimized will never get played in full.
  2. "Program" and "Soundtrack" are by far my favourite demos. Honourable mention goes to "What We Don't Know"
  3. Give me a second as i pull out my crystal ball...
  4. Apparently, saying the word "God" in a song automatically makes LP a Christian band regardless of context or intent. The thought process of some people...
  5. I can't believe that shitty video won an award. Not their best video by a long shot from the Hybrid Theory era. Then again, its an MTV award which is shit to begin with. And it was probably more about the "most popular song voted by the most rabid fanbase" than the actual video content anyways. And LP looking like a ragtag band of misfits that i would be scared to approach in person today. It's ridiculous how much they've grown and changed.
  6. Such a pity a post of a fun LPTV got turned into another bitch and whine fest.
  7. This thread is pathetic. Surely, there are better things to debate.
  8. They dropped a couple of things. They raised the price tag. If none of that sounded great to you, then why join? It's not like they forced you to pay for the membership. It's hard to sympathize with people who whine about it based on that alone. I think i got my money's worth out of it. I didn't get any M&G but that's my luck going to two shows that are in big cities with many fans which reduced my chances. I attended the summit which was worth it to me. Everything else is a bonus. I don't really care for having a website since all that happens is fans bitching about the club no one forced them to join anyways. I joined the fanclub fully aware that i might not get a M&G. Might not be able to attend a single summit. Might not be available for any chat due to bad luck. May not be able to take advantage of the presale due to any unforeseen circumstances. But i joined anyways because i wanted to and who knew if sometime during the year of my membership, i may be able to get something out of it. Plus, i wanted that presale to the album release show in NY back in September and that was it.
  9. What's there to finish? Pointless attempt for those who try. The song is complete and a fantastic piece at that.
  10. I don't think he used fuck, dick and caps-lock enough.
  11. Leave it out of the DSPs, but keep playing it live as the whole point to a concert is to get the full experience while a DSP is a shadow representation of the experience meant to be a memento. Who cares if it gets cut out. But definitely leave it in the setlist. I mean all the band would probably do is simply just play Iridescent by itself. Leaving the speech only adds to the song.
  12. Dude, where did you get that from? My mind wasn't even anywhere near that train. Yes i am absolutely in love with ATS and would metaphorically die and go to heaven if the band ever played ATS from beginning to end. And yes, i don't particularly care for some of LP's old stuff anymore. The reason i no longer care for them is the same reason i think their inclusion in a set is a negative. And those songs are their angsty material. Whether you want to believe it or not, but LP has grown beyond those songs that focus on those simply angst. It's no longer relevant to them and to me because i realized that i've grown along with them to where they are now. I haven't played Numb in like forever and the only time i enjoy it is when i see it live because the enthusiasm of the fans is infectious and the band makes you want to sing along regardless. So a setlist that has been tapered down to a few angsty stuff is a win for me and would come across better to represent the direction the band is already heading on. It would make the set more cohesive. But unlike some people, i am able to be realistic. I know a bunch of fans love those angsty stuff. And i don't mind that. LP is my favourite band because i love 90% of their stuff including those angsty stuff occasionally. I know that the chances of them actually getting rid of all their angsty stuff is slim and it doesn't bother me. I know there is no such thing as the perfect setlist and never will be. I am not living in the clouds. What's works for me might not work for the masses if you want to be cliche. Like i said, at the end of the day, its all about seeing my favourite band live and rocking out with other fans who together, make the experience fun and worth it regardless of any hangups on their set.
  13. I love your train of reasoning. Indeed it's worth the suffering of seeing a classy LP song like Iridescent on Transformers if it means it becoming a permanent fixture on their setlist. Definitely a win.
  14. Your point? I mean besides stating the obvious. When MTM came out, i doubt WID, SOTD, BIO, and a bunch of other songs got the crowd going because it was very new. But now, the arena goes wild immediately the first notes to WID or BIO starts playing. It's all about time. Same thing happens with any other artist. I don't see how its that big of a deal. I already know the crowd loves OSC and all that jazz and i don't mind that. That's not my point. I just said that i think a better setlist for me would be void of that song and most of the Metora stuff they play. But unlike some people, a song doesn't make a break a show for me. In the end, its all about the performance and enjoying seeing my favourite band live.
  15. Because they finally realized that the chorus sucks and is no longer relevant to them?
  16. Well excuse me! Of course i'm serious. I never liked it that much the first time i heard it and it still hasn't grown on me no matter how many years have passed. It is a terrible song in my opinion although i would rather hear it than LFY or DS. Now if they were to play the reanimated version, i might just be okay with it.
  17. This. Simply because to me, any setlist without Lying From You, and more ATS will always be the best. It's a shame it doesn't have BITS and Blackout because those songs are spectacular live. They've improved it for sure. If they took out OSC and Numb and replaced them with those two ATS songs, it would be the best setlist ever.
  18. If i never have to see Don't Stay, Lying From You, Numb, Faint and One Step Closer on a setlist, it would be a glorious day. I just for the life of me, can't understand why so many people make a big deal over them. The Messenger alone easily outclasses them in a heartbeat.
  19. Because i'm lazy, i'm just going to copy and paste my review from LPA onto here: My review of the Summit/Show: I only did day two of the Summit because i wasn't going to be caught dead out in the cold skating without decent clothing as i under-packed for Chicago. Plus i was dead tired and needed my beauty sleep. I enjoyed making the shirts for Haiti and the free breakfast. The ladies in charge of the printing were really nice and i finally met Adam. For the record, he's actually kind of hot. After t-shirts, we got to watch the crew set-up the stage and that was both exciting and confusing as i couldn't fathom how they were going to make all that gear fit together coherently but they did. And listening to them check out all if all the instruments were working was cool. I especially liked it when they played Faint just Instrumental. Then we had the raffle and auction and i didn't win any at all which was sad. To the douchebag who stole the From The Inside Book from me, i hate you. But i won a dressing room tour for only donating 10 bucks. pretty good i'd say. Then we got to take our selected tour and i chose Backstage which was cool because we also got to walk the stage even though it wasn't part of our tour so we got to do two things unlike the Stage people and Bus tour people. The guys dressing room was the most surreal place ever. It was so zen and there was lots of food. Plus, on Dave's locker thing, he spelled his name wrong with a Fenix instead of Phoenix which was amusing to me. I loved all the things we got to see. I took some pictures. I loved seeing Mike's fancy keyboard and Chester and Brad's drums. The stage was awesome. Mark Fiore is also another dude. He is cool and also hot in person than the videos let on. The sound-check was one of the highlights for sure. Mike, Brad, Rob and Joe did BITS first without Chester with just Mike singing his parts. It was like a weird version of BITS. I sang Chester's part in my head. Then they did Blackout almost to the bridge without Chester or the playback. Then they did Blackout again with Chester' playback track and Chester joined in at the end when he and Dave arrived. Then they did Blackout again together with Chester fully there and it was awesome. Chester has already nailed that song. It doesn't need any more tweaking and work. Then Chester wanted to run BITS and the whole band performed it and it was stupendous. Mike got loads better since the first time they played it and the first time he sound-checked it earlier. His voice was less shaky and breathy and it sounded stronger and sure and they nailed it. Have i mentioned how much i love listening to Mike and Chester sing together? I was so happy getting to hear BITS live because i knew from the set-list that it wasn't going to be played. They also sound-checked The Requiem/Mario Savio's speech/Faint intro twice and messed around some more playing different stuff and did lots of talking with each other and Chester wanted to sound-check Blackout's bridge again and again. It was all fun just to watch them go through the process. I loved the M&G but fumbled as i forgot all the things i wanted to say and ask. So i sneaked into the line again and got Mike to draw something on iridescent which has like my favourite vocal performance by him on the album and it was all good. i shamelessly forfeited my dressing room tour given by Dave and Rob in exchange to sit in at the Q&A because for one, Mike was not giving the tour and i wanted to be where Mike was.(yes i am a shamless fangirl. sue me) but i am not as shameless as some of the girls who were whistling and screaming when Chester bent over. It was embarrassing to be seating next to them for sure. Plus there was this over-hyper girl who i awarded the most enthusiastic award for the day. She was spazzing and twirling and saying inappropriate stuff and fangirling but it was all fun to watch and it was cute. In the Q&A, Mike and Chester gave mostly joke answers. They did say the likely chance of them playing QWERTY is very slim. And someone asked about their favourite songs and they all named songs that they would most likely never play which i'm sure some fans didn't get. I liked the ethnic diversity of the band question and Mike's answer but i was too busy gazing at Mike to remember the rest of the questions. Then it was bye-bye band time and we were allowed to pick our spots on the floor and for the first time, i was at the barrier in the best spot that allowed you to see both sides of the V with clarity and where Mike and Chester always frequented on the stage. It was great. THE SHOW: Does It Offend You Yeah? = most boring band i've ever seen live. This is no exaggeration when i say that most of their songs sounded the same. Someone told me it was Pendulum opening first and i was shocked that this boring band were the same act. But luckily, that was dispelled. DIOYY? is a band that lost me with their mediocre performance and catalog. And their name is silly. I can't imagine chanting that in any shape or form. I was so sad that i couldn't find an ear plug to save me from their noise. They couldn't get off the stage sooner. Ad for Pendulum, beyond awesome. They blew me away and you could tell the difference in presence and quality the minute they took to the stage. The music was spectacular and i loved every minute. Although, i noticed that besides the one dude who was jumping and pumping up the crowd the whole time, the rest of the band were like statues. But the music made up for it for sure. I will be checking them out for sure. LP: I must say, when i saw the set-list earlier, i wasn't happy about Faint opening. Meteora is like my fourth favourite LP album which is basically the least favourite. And i wanted to see Wretches & Kings open so i wasn't happy that it was cut from the set. For me, the show's highlight was hearing all the ATS material. The low point was seeing that they cut The Messenger and Wretches & Kings which brought the total of all ATS solid songs played to only 5. The horror. My favourite album and i only got to hear only five songs. I mean, it was definitely a high moment when i heard them, but having to listen to Lying From You, Faint and Given Up made me so sad. I would rather hear those ditched ATS material easily in their place and keep Blackout in replacement of Crawling(it just doesn't translate well live) plus Faint is not the greatest opener for me. The crowd enjoyed it. They enjoyed everything and couldn't stop screaming the whole time which is all good. I wanted an ATS song to open up the ATS tour. personal bias. I do still think The Requiem is an epic intro and should definitely stay but teasing us with the Mario Savio speech was mean. They should just have used The Radiance instead. But the show was spectacular even with my personal bias. It's LP and i connect with them live as they have some sort of magical powers over me. Mike seemed happy that the crowd sang along and knew Waiting for the End which was cool. Although, Chester even with his bad fan encounter in the crowd came down during Bleed it Out and sang the A Place for my Head bridge with some fan singing into the mic with him. He shook everybody's hand including mine and was so nice and awesome letting all those people touch and try to grope him like they think some of his talent would rub off on them. And i enjoyed Blackout and Papercut and just all of ATS. The show was epic. But i don't think i will be doing GA anymore. My back and neck can't take it. Crowd surfers always manage to almost break my neck each time. So there is my review. I'm sure i missed loads of stuff.
  20. With that attitude, you won't make it on stage. You are the debatable LP expert, and a smartass, why you can't make all that work in your favour is beyond me. You have to get up in front of Mike and the rest of the band's face and tell them you are the better candidate and won't make any mistakes and give them many reasons why they should let you get up there on stage instead of any other fan who asks. It's dirty, but it all depends on how much you want to get up there and not disappoint all the people on here who wants to see you actually make it up there on stage to play. Just do me a personal favour and ask to play guitar on any other song but Faint.
  21. System of a Down and LP in the same festival. Wow! That is like one of my top five dream line-ups. Meh on the rest... Europe always gets all the cool festivals and line-ups.
  22. I actually wasted paper and ink printing mine out since all i needed was an ID to verify my name that was on a list. I was slightly pissed that i was all super serious about the confirmation paper and it was pointless. Not saying you shouldn't print what you have, but the odds are, you will be fine because they know who is supposed to be in the M&G and you can always prove it by showing your ID. After all, people loose their paper all their time.
  23. Dude, your name should be on a master list. Mine was when i had a M&G. You should be fine.
  24. Wow! This thread keeps getting sillier and sillier. Surely, there are better topics to argue about that holds some actual relevance.
  25. For the first time...no second time, i am glad Astat sometimes comes on here and spits out stuff from his odd brain. He is better at putting into words common sense in a debatable less bitchy way.
