I joined LPU at age 11 and I was a spammer-idiot until I was like 13...They should just filter out the redundant comments, such as:
"LLLLLLPPPP COME TO BRAAAAAAAZIIIIIIILLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
or the ever popular;
"Will you guys make another Hybrud Theery??????????"
God damn!
Also keep in mind how "unvaried" their setlists have been over the course of their career. Their setlist "staples" include: Sad But True, One, Master of Puppets, Nothing Else Matters, and Enter Sandman.
I wish I could put Seek & Destroy up there but they left out Seek & Destroy for some of their 1997 setlists.
As of lately, they've been working in old rarities to please the old-school fans...which is what LP will probably do by the time they hit their 20-year mark.
Just found this thread...count me in for MD, VA (maybe not VA Beach, but I'm getting my lisence soon so anything is possible), Pittsburgh (family ftw), Chicago (I have family there), NJ*, NYC*.
*Once I get my lisence.
I'm in a band (sort of) but if I had total control and had phenomenal musicians and a very versatile vocalist, who are capable of playing my setlist, here's what it would be:
1. Korn- Blind
2. Machine Head- Take My Scars
3. Trivium- The Decieved
------
4. In Flames- Bullet Ride
5. Metallica- For Whom the Bell Tolls
6. Hatebreed- Never Let it Die
7. Iron Maiden- 2 Minutes to Midnight
------
(First encore)
8. Coheed & Cambria- Welcome Home
9. The Used- All That I've Got
10. Weezer- Say It Ain't So
11. DBS- My Suffering
-------
(2nd encore/LP Covers)
12. LP- Don't Stay
13. LP- With You
14. LP- Given Up
15. LP- LFY
16. LP- POA
--------
17. LP- LOATR
18. LP- V Day
19. LP- ITE
--------
(3rd Encore)
20. LP- New Divide
21. LP- Faint (outro)
(Final Encore)
22. LP- APFMH (with custom intro)
23. LP- OSC (custom extended outro)
Edit: This is probably in the wrong section, we should probably get a mod to move it.
On another note about "Blind", Ryan wasn't credited with that song until the Greatest Hits came out. There was some controversy about it once Korn became popular and Ryan wasn't credited.
I can see them doing a video for this that is similar to Given Up or POA. In fact, they should get Joe to direct it. The video for Let Down kinda sucked and CBI's video wasn't great.
IMO, a likely Superbowl setlist should be:
WID (long intro)
New Divide
BTH (piano outro)
OSC (all extenders)
Love the other bands suggested as well.
Metallica should be:
Ecstacy of Gold intro/Creeping Death
One (pyro)
Enter Sandman
Seek and Destroy
Muse:
Knights of Cydonia
Uprising
Time is Running Out
Stockholm Syndrome
Another great band for a Superbowl could be Korn:
Blind
Freak on a Leash
Chi
Got the Life
or (could be very awesome) Slipknot:
Sic (with intro)
Before I Forget
Psychosocial
Spit it Out (a whole stadium "jumping the fuck up"...I can only imagine)
a band that has (as of Guitar Hero II) been appealing to the current generation, Guns N' Roses:
Welcome to the Jungle
You Could Be Mine
November Rain
Paradise City
Not a big fan of the loop but the song grew on me, super stoked that Joe is scratching on this one. To be honest, the loop is probably there because Mike is probably super excited over his new keyboard he got.
