  1. LOL...so true.
  2. I'm kinda surprised he lumped DBS in as part of LP's music releases.
  3. Terrific. They're going the way of David Hasselhoff.
  4. nononononononononononononononononono....DBS is delaying LP, therefore by consequence, DBS nixed working with Slash.
  5. While somewhat disappointing, it's not altogether that surprising that things are taking this long. Some of the other musicians/projects I listen to (e.g. Seal, Enigma, Evanescence) have taken 3-4 years in between releases as a norm. I want stuff that will be good that takes a while over quick stuff that makes me vomit that I spent money on garbage. Part of the problem is with the explosion of popularity of the internet, folks want new stuff now, if not yesterday. Constantly, we want status updates on things, etc. The album will come out when it's good and ready. Now, if only the DSPs would be released...
  6. What did the five fingers say to the face? SLAP!

  8. *Sigh* If we could only get others on board that we are, indeed, in the 21st century, can upload files, and have the ability to work in multiple places at the same time, for a common goal.
  9. Thanks for the rip; I look forward to hearing the show.
  10. Can someone rip it and post it afterwards? It may be nothing new, but it was fun listening to Mike on Loveline the last time, when "Road to Revolution" came out.
  11. I think the article title might have been a little misleading; when one returns to one's roots, it can also mean where they began, physically. This is what they're doing in recording at the old studio. For those of you in the States who watch NFL football, you'll hear it ad nauseum this weekend with the Vikings/Saints game and Brett Favre returning to his roots, since he's from that area (albeit Kiln, MS).
  12. Whatever will correspond to either Project Rev '10 or whatever tour LP goes on to support their new album.
  13. Meh, they can still claim a mulligan, I think. You see several acts nowadays releasing some suped-up edition of the CD that offers more music, a bonus DVD, you name it. Sucks for those of us who bought the original CD. Maybe DBS could do something like this at some point, with the aforementioned promised acoustic tracks. Of course, that's hoping someone is actually interested in getting more interest from the public...
  14. Well, with the Crypt Keeper just saying that they're turning to the Massachusetts story, I'm betting it won't be tonight.
  15. Thanks for the heads-up. Looking forward to those DSPs. Be next week already! j/k...kind of...
  16. I'm not trying to be an ass, but you can listen to the songs. You have the player on the left "window" and the download on the right "window." "Not Alone" is the first song. Just hit the play button.
  17. Given the nature of what's happened, if a track is to be contributed, I would guess either LOATR or SOTD.
  18. Now it's, "Well, Chester, it's about time. You should have been doing this six months ago instead of that DBS non-sense..."
  19. How about a list of shows for which a certain song was played/included (thinking about songs, as well as all the variants to "Points")? You can see this in action on Pearl Jam's site: Even Flow Example
  20. The concept of impatient fans is news...granted, old news?
  21. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Yeah, the record companies are also on my nerves with those greatest hits CDs. You know, the ones that have all the old stuff with one or two new songs so you have to buy the GH album? About the interview - maybe something will be out next year. And aren't they trying to put together a PR '10? It'd be nice to have some new material, I'm guessing...and hoping. I'm not too surprised to see Mike take the high road with the question about Chester and DBS.
  23. I had Toxic Hell yesterday. Only 3 soft tacos, but lots of discomfort afterward. Never again...
  24. I have them all; mainly, just for fun. I'll give a new one a whirl every now and then. I do enough road trips, so it's all good. - What is your favorite DSP from the band? Dallas '07/'08, OKC '08, London Show #1 1/08, Toronto '08 - Are there any DSPs you listen to a lot? See above. - What DSPs do you not like very much or don't listen to a lot? Why? The later ones; mainly, the loudness doesn't seem to be there as with the '07 and Winter '08 shows. - What "highlights" from 2007-2009 do you listen to a lot? Or maybe there's one or two tracks from a certain show you really like. The different versions of "Points," "Umbrella" from London Show #1, 1/08. The first several songs from Toronto '08 are up there, too. - Is there anything you don't like about the DSP idea as a whole? What about the mixing? Are you a fan of it? What would you like to see done differently with the DSPs? As previously mentioned, stop fixing the mistakes. I'm a fan of how things used to be mixed/presented. I have to crank the volume up a bit louder on the later DSPs, as opposed to the older ones.
  25. That sounds pretty fair. Count me in when the time comes.
