  1. Make that +2.
  2. Not trying to come off as a smart alec/jerk, but ya'll might edit the information on the main post to reflect that these are the older DSPs that folks already have. You may have the casual passer-by to LPL who's like, "oh sweet, new DSPs" and doesn't bother to read through the posts in response.
  3. I'm guessing this will be a template as to how the future DSPs will be available, whenever LP starts touring again.
  4. Rut roh. Countdown to nuclear winter on the LPL board in 5...4...3...
  5. DtD is now available on iTunes. It has all the tracks, save the Gabriel song. $10.
  6. Uh oh...there's even someone trying to fan the "DBS delaying LP" rumors with those questions.
  7. Very well; we'll bypass whipping you with a wet noodle this one time.
  8. Awesome! Thanks.
  9. "We Are the World" apparently has a "Download to Donate" thing on its video; Mike had to clear this up in his latest blog (earlier today). It's not affiliated with the DtD that we've all known and loved for a month now.
  10. When I re-DLed this morning, the Heroes(?) track was there.
  11. Me too; I can't remember - didn't they originally say that if more stuff got added, we'd get e-mails about it?
  12. How much does MTV actually play videos anymore? They've even undergone a rebranding and are moving away from what made them famous. Kinda sad.
  13. Good video, shows not only what happened down there, but LP doing their part, by putting this song together (even if using old footage at times). I kind of agree about the sunglasses; I was kind of chuckling when I saw those shots of Chester. If they wanted to break out of the monotony of the studio stuff, they could have had him singing in front of some of the Haiti shots. Oh well, nice effort, just the same.
  14. And more importantly, it's not taking away from making the new album.
  15. I don't know, but I'd say put a few more of the already-released DSPs together for albums, and get LP out of this contract faster. I'll also go out on a limb and say that after this album comes out (2010, 2012, whenever), that the next one will be a "greatest hits" album, mandated by Warner.
  16. They're up now; check the lpl main page w/ the widget. Looks like: Crystal Method Weezer That Gold Guns Girls remixed track by Mike Jack Johnson
  17. I should be home by then, so I'll go ahead and say I'll attend.
  18. Don't mention the album; he might lash out at you about it.
  19. Watch out - next thing you know they're going to claim the same thing about regular ole radio.
  20. They were encouraging the crowd to get into it on "In The End" with the Hartford '07 show...something about trying to get a poster up, since there was one up of Celine Dion (I agree with Chester, "WTF?")
  21. On (I think) the first show from London (might be the second) in Jan. '08, Mike messed up on LFY. Something about "when I pretend that I'm the (barely audible) drug dealer I am..." I was surprised that was left on the DSP.
  22. So is MySpace. And voila! LP has a MySpace page, too. Okay, this really has to be said. Dude, you are trying way, way, way, way, way, way too hard here. Really? How is this news? Mike going sardonically postal about folks wanting an album out asap - that's news. Are you trying to catch up with some of the others, like Mark and Astat? Good luck with that. You don't get a prize or a gold star for having done so.
  23. We'll have to agree to disagree. I like the rest of the CD just fine (read: yes, even "In Between"). They built up TLTGYA to be like this most-awesome song ever. It was fine, sends a message, etc.; I didn't feel like it had lived up to whatever they were hyping it to be. Sorry if I don't find every song by LP outstanding; maybe it's the fact I listen to other music besides LP.
  24. I'm cautiously optimistic. Reason being: they hyped the crap out of TLTGYA; I heard it and was like, "oh...not bad, but I don't see the hype..."
  25. It's actually good business/software practice to make sure the stuff's released right the first time, without problems. Word of mouth will quickly help a product succeed, if good, or tank, if the product sucks.
