Very cool giveaway - not only is it something rare(-ish? not sure tbh, seems like something uncommon ), but it's signed, too! Good luck everyone!

Glad to see Chester finding time to have some fun with friends onstage. Always great to see him in his classic rock element.
-
I know what's going on yet I'm still confused
-
If we sharpen the image enough, we can see demo titles reflecting off of Chester's head!
-
To be fair, they didn't really give us anything to discuss, so all that's left to do is complain
-
He's talking about the pack that was released awhile ago. The one Asteroids came with.
-
Ah, okay. I guess my point still stands for Page though.
-
I'm standing by that it's not at all a Linkin Park song for these reasons: Mike's vocals are tuned up. The only other song where his vocals were tuned up was Darker Than Blood during the bridge, as far as I know. Blackbear's working on his own album right now. It's the style of music he makes - I don't see why LP would make a song that sounds like Blackbear music for themselves. You could saw 'Rebellion' and Daron, but as far as I know the concept of 'Rebellion' was there before Daron was added into the picture; they invited him because it sounded like a SOAD song. Same with AFN and Page. The band has worked on collaborations with other artists from their own studio before. Martin Garrix was in their studio when they made Waiting For Tomorrow. Not an LP song. Sure, it very well may be that I'm wrong, but I'm 100% confident that this isn't an LP song.

Well, to be fair, we have heard Coffee and Odyssey - they're Keys To The Kingdom and A Line In The Sand, respectively. As far as I know, all you have to do is to get the Linkin Park version of Stagelight and it should come with the samples.
-
Are you serious? I don't even think I should argue this lmao I didn't realize Mike recording vocals for a song and maybe guitar automatically means it's theirs. My bad.
-
We can't jump to conclusions yet about how the album sounds from this. It's not even their song. This is Blackbear's music, and I don't really think we know or care about any of his music changing a la early-THP to final-THP. During the recording of THP and that cycle we got ALTNC and Darker Than Blood. Just because the band is collaborating with electronic/pop artists like this doesn't indicate that's the way they're going. And tey've said already they're not collaborating in a musical sense, but as writers.

Yeah, Chester sings the "I am"s in the verses and Mike usually backs the "I won't be ignored" in the choruses. You probably saw footage of them doing that and mistook it for them switching
-
Lol, this is exactly what I thought when I saw it I think we can count this as official, I'm pretty sure we've known Sleepwalking as a demo title for awhile now - didn't it leak on the picture of the whiteboard we saw?

Linkin Park news may be slow, but maybe you will have the chance to ask them what's up. Music For Relief has started a contest that you can enter in to meet the band and get a chance to interview them! To enter the campaign, head to this page on Propeller and complete one of the actions to gain points to get a chance to win this opportunity. Each point constitutes one additional entry. Actions include subscribing to the MFR Newsletter, donating to the organization (five points for every dollar!), watching videos, buying Linkin Park merchandise, and more. Winning the contest will win you a variety of things: Propeller will fly you and a friend to Los Angeles (with hotel fees covered for two nights at a pretty high-profile hotel - the Sunset Marquee at the Sunset Strip) where you'll be able to go to Linkin Park HQ and meet the band members and see what's going on over there. The band will take you to some of their favorite spots around town - including the shooting location of Fort Minor's 'Welcome' - too. After it's all over, you'll be going over the Facebook Live to interview the band about their Power The World campaign - and don't worry, you'll have millions of people feeding you questions. The campaign ends on September 29, so you have plenty of time to enter! The contest is limited to people the age of 18 and above, but is applicable worldwide. Even if you don't win, you're donating to charity, so it's a win-win situation here. Who's going to enter? Follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page for more Linkin Park news.

Can a man not play a show with friends/idols without being criticized about his personal views? If you're going to let someone's political or religious views (barring extremist views - I feel that's a reasonable justification) dictate whether or not you listen to music, I don't think music is the right thing for you. I get Trump is crazy, but given this election Hillary's not a shining star either. Don't make assumptions. Chester said he didn't support Trump awhile ago, and as we have no evidence or sources saying his mind has changed in 8 months, let's give the man that much. Interested to see what songs he performed!

Its just sarcasm, unless ProTools crashed with all of the progress they made (it should autosave, and they, being artists, should save their progress likes its second nature anyway) I doubt that would be enough to set the album back that far. It's annoying and time consuming to restart the profram, yeah, but it's nit gonna set them back half a year.

It's becoming increasingly less strange for Linkin Park to be involved in something political. The band, alongside Trent Reznor, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, and more are signing their names to a petition in support of reforming the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) was signed in 1998 by Bill Clinton, looking to update copyright laws with the digital age. Since it's signing, lots has come into play that have rendered the act outdated. Services like YouTube and Spotify - ways creators can get their content to consumers in efficient and convenient ways - have made the system, in the words of the petition, "broken and no longer [working] for creators." It also states that "It has allowed major tech companies to grow and generate huge profits by creating ease of use for consumers to carry almost every recorded song in history in their pocket via a smartphone, while songwriters’ and artists’ earnings continue to diminish... The growth and support of technology companies should not be at the expense of artists and songwriters.” The petition came about at the dawn of the new year, when the Copyright Office announced it's plans to reevaluate the DMCA, stating that "While Congress understood that it would be essential to address online infringement as the Internet continued to grow, it may have been difficult to anticipate the online world as we now know it, where each day users upload hundreds of millions of photos, videos and other items, and service providers receive over a million notices of alleged infringement." What are your thoughts on it? It's not exactly a Linkin Park-centric subject, but rather, an open discussion for music lovers and creators. Over 160 artists have now signed the petition, and more expected to follow. Linkin Park are major artists on most services, YouTube and Spotify included. This is more of a discussion topic than anything else. Tell us your thoughts! Linkin Park's next album is coming along, with another studio update expected soon. Awesome interview, cool to see how things like this come together. Hopefully we see Chester do more collabs like this!

The fourth bi-monthly track for the LPUnderground 15 package is here, and this time it's a 1999 Demo entitled 'GRR'. The track is one of the shortest released Linkin Park songs to date, clocking in at an impressive 27 seconds. The song itself if pretty simple, composing of a beat, effected piano, and some minor background synths on repeat for a few seconds. We've heard the song before, and quite recently, too. It's first use was back in 2003, in the LPTV episode "The Art Of Meteora". Mark Fiore strikes again! It was most recently used in the recent time-lapse clip of the band in the studio, posted in April on the band's Instagram and Facebook pages. LPU Members can go to the LPU Shop after logging in to download the song for free. The song can be heard at the 3:13 second mark in this 2003 episode of LPTV. Linkin Park's next studio release is shaping up, and as more info comes in, things are starting to get a bit exciting. You have to question how many of those views are attracted from people clicking links from social media, though. I find it hard to believe we'd get 3000+ views on any news post without posting a link for it on social media, maybe 1000 if we're lucky.

There was absolutely nothing of worth on Snapchat. All that Mike said wad that they'd probably stream on FB later, and that they were going to record a bridge that was really high
