it’s not that we are tired of hearing how much you love him - probably quite the contrary. It’s more the fact that one little detail gets people so caught up about this that we can’t take a step back and appreciate what’s going on. No need to belittle the band or the show because it doesn’t meet your own personal criteria, and in fact hasn’t shown any indication that they will. It’s obvious this is the first Emily era and they want to keep things focussed on that, but there’s no “erasure” going on, it’s simply just playing their show and promoting their new era, keeping things focussed. ever take a second to think that maybe mentioning Chester is hard on them too? like when Mike had to shorten Over Again because of the emotional toll it took on both him and the crowd. I’m sure maybe you’d light up at the mention but others will still feel some sort of way if they did - not everyone is in the same boat as you are with this. Don’t you think, as a Chester superfan, that this is what he would’ve wanted anyway? For them to be able to move forward without the anchor of his passing holding them back? It’s not easy anyway you look at it, but its pointless at being upset at it. anyway, one and a half hours til show time! awesome story! as a little aside, I actually do listen to the shows I link in the pre-show posts while I write them. I usually go into the show pages and add more info (more in line with how we’d do them today - I added a lot of details on the Phoenix 2007 and Phoenix 2000 pages! We're approaching the final stretch of the second North American Leg of the From Zero World Tour, Linkin Park are returning to the hometown of Chester Bennington for the first time in almost 10 years for a show at the PHX Arena in Phoenix, Arizona tonight, September 6, 2025! This'll be the band's fifteenth show in Phoenix over the years, so you know today's history lesson is going to get interesting. Linkin Park's last few bouts in the Phoenix area were pretty interesting. Their last show there was on November 1, 2015 (the day after Halloween) at the Monster Mash festival in Tempe, the band coming out dressed in full zombie makeup to play the show! This show was the start of the final run of shows on The Hunting Party World Tour, with songs like 'Rebellion' and 'Final Masquerade' getting some of the limelight one more time before being dropped as setlist regulars. They performed in Scottsdale in 2014 as well for an even more unique event - a silent charity auction! Linkin Park performed at the Stars Of The Season Gala for a short set (shortened due to the auction running late), which opened with 'One Step Closer' and featured some sort of 'Papercut' Jam with Luis Ortiz (from the show "Million Dollar Listing") in the middle, as well. Chester had played this event with every single one of his active bands - Dead By Sunrise in 2011 (their final show ever), a solo show in 2012, Stone Temple Pilots in 2013, and finally Linkin Park in 2014. Talk about being a completionist! The band headlined their last proper show in Phoenix just a month before this at the US Airways Center at the end of the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars. Delivering Set A to the crowd, bringing old tracks like 'Runaway' and 'Points Of Authority' into the mix with the likes of 'Wastelands' and 'Guilty All The Same.' The band didn't make it to the area on the Living Things World Tour, making their next most recent performance in Phoenix on the A Thousand Suns World Tour in February 2011 to top off the Winter North American Tour, headlining the same venue as in 2014. This show was the final full performance of 'Wretches and Kings' to date, and also featured the chorus of 'Burning In The Skies' during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out!' Jumping back to the Minutes To Midnight World Tour, the band visited Phoenix twice during this time. The band stopped at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion (now the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater) in the middle of Projekt Revolution 2008, opening with 'No More Sorrow' and an intro from the Street Drum Corps into a massive opening run with 'Lying From You' and 'Points Of Authority.' Rare tracks like a full band 'Pushing Me Away' and 'In Pieces' made their way into the setlist, while other treats included 'Crawling' featuring Chris Cornell and a 'Krwlng' intro with a verse of 'Hands Held High' over it and the Minutes To Midnight Tour Version of 'Cure For The Itch.' Chester joined Chris Cornell during his set earlier on for 'Hunger Strike,' too! The band played at the same venue at the start of Projekt Revolution 2007, and is the source of a very famous speech from Mike Shinoda during the extended intro of 'Papercut:' "A little fewer than 10 years ago, we had a problem in our band. We had this thing going on, but we didn't have a singer. Me and Brad started this thing in our apartment, fuckin' around with some friends, and we sent some demos out to some singers to see if we could find anybody that clicked. We got a demo back from a dude from Arizona, from Phoenix. Suffice to say, that shit worked out alright! Hey Phoenix, thank you for our friend Chester. We love you." Onto the Meteora World Tour! The band made two ventures to Phoenix in this era, the last of which came near the end of Projekt Revolution 2004. Featuring every fan's favorite setlist of the band's career, Phoenix were treated to a slew of legendary moments including the band's cover of Nine Inch Nails' 'Wish,' the Hip-Hop Medley featuring parts of 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down,' and the Blood, Anger, Suffering Outro Transition between 'Figure.09' and 'From The Inside.' Projekt Revolution 2003 also saw the band in Phoenix, where fans were treated to even rare songs like 'Hit The Floor,' 'Easier To Run,' and 'P5hng Me A*wy!' A full performance of 'Nobody's Listening' with an extended outro featuring Xzibit rapping his verse from 'My Name' over it! The band was busy in the area during the Hybrid Theory World Tour, visiting the city and its suburbs seven times in about a year and a half! Phoenix may hold the record for the city visited most often on Projekt Revolution as the band stopped there once again on the inaugural Projekt Revolution 2002 (that's five for five for Phoenix!) in February 2002, which featured treats like complete performances of 'Step Up,' 'It's Goin' Down' (the latter of which featured DJ Z-Trip), and 'Forgotten.' The band also played 'My December' and a cover of 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' by the Deftones in the encore! The band hit the town on the Family Values Tour just three months before in November 2001, and again a few months before that on an off day of the Ozzfest in July. The band performed in Mesa in April on their US-To-Europe run, packing the setlist with goods including B-sides 'High Voltage' and 'And One!' Chester sported his iconic red mohawk for the first time at this show, and even climbed the 30-foot speakers during 'Runaway!' Linkin Park topped off KUPD's Red Christmas Party in December 2000 (the show before the famous KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show), opening with a raucous combo of 'A Place For My Head' and 'Forgotten' to a sold-out crowd. The band played in the area less than two months prior, right off the release of Hybrid Theory at The Freakers Ball during the Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High Tour - the band reportedly changed the setlist for this show, dropping 'Forgotten' and moving 'In The End' up to the second spot for the first time. The band performed in Peoria the month before in the middle of the Ridin' High Tour, opting to play KEDJ's That Damn Show event rather than the tour stop in Providence, Rhode Island. Chester wore a necklace given to him by a fan named Jessica Green, and the band brought up a fan named Tyler who was covered in Linkin Park stickers! Another month before that in August, Linkin Park played the 98KUPD Show, the source of the earliest known live recording of the band! This ancient show features the band's earliest known setlist, featuring 'Cure For The Itch' and 'Papercut' as openers and a grand finale of 'One Step Closer.' The earliest full recording of Linkin Park performing live, from the Mason Jar in Phoenix, Arizona at the 98KUPD Show on August 15, 2000. Now THIS is a time capsule right here! Will we ever get a full live recording of the band earlier than this? Before ending this history lesson, there's a couple more very special shows to mention. Prior to Linkin Park, many will know that the band was known as Hybrid Theory up until May 2000. According to Jeff Blue in his book, the band changed their name to "Plear" on May 1 before changing to "Linkin Park" a week later. The ticket stubs for this show say "Hybrid Theory," but what could possibly be Linkin Park's very first show in Arizona (and one of their very first shows under the name Linkin Park) occurred in Tempe at the end of May. We've also found some Hybrid Theory shows in Tempe in August 1999, which could possibly have been the band's first shows outside of their native California. Linkin Park's history lies deeply within Arizona and Phoenix, and we're sure their first show there with Emily, Colin, and Alex will continue to add to that! The From Zero World Tour made its last stop in Denver, Colorado, bringing Set C ('Burn It Down' theme) to the crowd. Act I featured 'Points Of Authority,' 'Crawling,' and 'New Divide' with its short Moscow Intro, while 'Up From The Bottom' returned to its regular spot in Act II alongside rotations 'Castle Of Glass' featuring opener Jean Dawson and 'IGYEIH' at the end (after Mike whipped out the demo verse of 'Lift Off' from Post Traumatic during his solo medley). 'Stained' was played in its regular spot in Act III, and 'Let You Fade' made its way into Act IV. This setlist was pretty much the same as the last Set C performance in Minneapolis, Minnesota, so the band may have found their preferred run with this one after some mid-tour experimentation. Phoenix is lined up for Set A ('Castle Of Glass' theme), which was last performed in Omaha, Nebraska. The band was still playing around with the set around this time, so we can't say for certain if they'll follow the same order as last time, but Nebraska's setlist saw the following: 'Lying From You,' 'Stained,' and 'New Divide' in Act I, 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Casualty' in Act II, 'Over Each Other' in Act III, and 'A Place For My Head' in Act IV, where it replaced 'From The Inside' in the rotation spot. With 'Let You Fade' now in two sets and 'From The Inside' in none, it begs the question: where'd it go? Perhaps it'll return tonight, or perhaps 'Unshatter' will finally get its live debut after reportedly being soundchecked a few shows ago. 'Castle Of Glass' will likely get another performance in as it'll be Jean Dawson's last show of the tour with the band, so we might not see 'Lies Greed Misery' again until next week when the band resumes the tour. It's worth nothing that this show is the first following the one-year anniversary of the band's return, so it'll be interesting to see if the band has anything special to say about that or Chester in his hometown! Who's going to the show? As I said, this'll be Jean Dawson's last show of the tour with the band before JPEGMAFIA takes over for the west coast, so if you can make it early enough to see him, be sure to! Weatherman Rogue Soul here to report it'll be a goddamn hot day in Arizona (no surprise there for you guys who live down there I'm sure) with temperatures up to 95°F and only going down to 88°F at night. After this show, Linkin Park takes a week off of touring before resuming the From Zero World Tour on the west coast, beginning with a hometown show in Los Angeles on September 13. September has rolled on through, and after a few days off, the From Zero World Tour is back in business, with Linkin Park bringing their next show to the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado tonight, September 3, 2025! This will be Linkin Park's twelfth show in the Denver area, and the first in eleven years! Linkin Park last performed in the area of the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars in 2014, performing at the Fiddler's Green Amphitheater in Englewood. The band whipped out Set B, featuring a full 'With You' at the start of the show, as well as the 2014 Abridged Version of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You' and 'Somewhere I Belong' later in the set. The band hit the same venue in 2012 on the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus (then called the Comfort Dental Amphitheater), where songs like 'Lost In The Echo,' 'In My Remains,' and 'Victimized' (w/ 'QWERTY') were being taken for a spin for the first time. Mike Einziger from Incubus came out to rip a guitar solo on 'Bleed It Out' after the band jammed 'Sabotage' by the Beastie Boys during the extended bridge! The last time Linkin Park performed at tonight's venue was in 2011 at the end of the A Thousand Suns North American Tour, when the venue was called the Pepsi Center. The setlist was pretty dramatic in-line with the album aesthetic, with the epic triangular stage design giving way to rare performances of songs like 'Burning In The Skies' and a full 'Iridescent.' The band hit the Fiddler's Green Amphitheater twice on the Minutes To Midnight Tour, the last of which came in the middle of Projekt Revolution 2008. The band brought out Set Z, opening with an introduction by the Street Drum Corps before 'No More Sorrow' and 'Faint' brought the night to life. Along with rare tracks from the era like 'Wake 2.0' and 'In Pieces,' the setlist came complete with other rarities like an album version 'Pushing Me Away' and the MTM Tour Version of 'Cure For The Itch.' The venue was the site of the final night of Projekt Revolution 2007, on September 3, 2007 - exactly 18 years to this date! How time flies. This set opened with 'No More Sorrow' into 'Lying From You,' an equally nasty combination, and featured more tracks from the record like 'The Little Things Give You Away' and 'Hands Held High.' The outro of 'One Step Closer' was extended for the first time in jam format, which gave birth a couple months later to the proper extended outro we all know and love today.And here's another fun fact: Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance got married to Lyn-Z from Mindless Self Indulgence after this show! A full fan-edit of the band's show at the Fiddler's Green Amphitheater in Englewood, Colorado on the Honda Civic Tour on August 30, 2012! Linkin Park visited the Denver area twice on the Meteora World Tour, the last of which was their own headlining performance on Projekt Revolution 2004. In 2003, the band opened for Metallica on their Summer Sanitarium Tour, taking them to the Invesco Field at Mile High. While the setlist was likely the same as the Live In Texas DVD, we actually don't have a confirmed setlist for this one - but we do know that for the second time ever, Chester joined Deftones for 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' during their set! The Hybrid Theory World Tour brought Linkin Park to Denver four times, with the last being at the Pepsi Center on the Family Values Tour in November 2001. Aaron Lewis of Staind came out for 'One Step Closer,' while the rest of the set featured goods like 'Step Up' and 'Pushing Me Away'. In June, Linkin Park performed on Ozzfest 2001, opening with 'With You' and 'Runaway' for the first time on the tour and also bringing tracks like 'A Place For My Head' and 'Forgotten' into the mix. We don't have sets for the band's first two shows in Denver (at the Gothic Theater in Englewood on the Street Soldiers Tour in February 2001 and opening for the Kottonmouth Kings on their Ridin' High Tour in October 2000, just days before Hybrid Theory was released), so if you were there and remember any info, be sure to let us know! Everyone's seen the Camden 2004 performance, but have you seen this other proshot from Projekt Revolution 2004 released with the Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition? Linkin Park ended August's touring schedule in Kansas City, Missouri, and really changed things up for the last show of the month in Set B ('Iridescent' theme)! Act I immediately saw changes, with the band moving 'Up From The Bottom' up for the second time ever - the last time this happened was on the closing night of the European Tour this summer in Paris, France! The surprises kept rolling in Act II, where 'Cut The Bridge' made its return with the short Moscow Intro, and opener Jean Dawson finally appeared onstage with the band for 'Castle Of Glass!' The second verse of 'When They Come For Me' appeared during Mike's Solo, and 'Given Up' topped off the rotations at the end of Act II. 'Good Things Go' made its scheduled appearance in Act III, but the band flipped things up for the end of the set, rotating in 'Let You Fade' into the set for the first time at the end of the main set before 'Heavy Is The Crown' and 'Bleed It Out' closed it up. As they closed the main set, Set B was topped off with 'In The End' and 'Faint' in the encore for the first time. Seems like the band is getting really creative with the sets at the mid-point of the tour! At this point, it's hard to say what we can expect from the setlist in Denver! The band are slated to bring out Set C ('Burn It Down' theme) at this show, which was last performed in Minneapolis, Minnesota over a week ago. The set last featured 'Points Of Authority,' 'Crawling,' and 'New Divide' in Act I, 'Castle Of Glass' and 'IGYEIH' in Act II, 'Stained' in Act III, and 'Let You Fade' in Act IV. It's anyone's best guess as to what'll happen with Act I, but there's a number of things we'll be looking out for in the rest of the set, too. With Jean Dawson now guesting on 'Castle Of Glass,' will the song be rotated out for 'Lies Greed Misery' or remain a staple for a few more shows before Jean Dawson ends his run on the tour? 'Stained' moved around the set quite a bit at recent shows, so it'll be interesting to see if it keeps its position in Act III. With 'Let You Fade' being moved to Set B and 'A Place For My Head' in Set A, 'From The Inside' could be lined up for Set C - rumor has it that the band soundchecked 'Unshatter' at the last show, too, so it could finally be time for the song to make its live debut! Of course, we'll also be looking out to see if 'Up From The Bottom' gets moved up again or keeps its regular position. What are your guesses for tonight's setlist? After a months-long rumor mill, the day has come! Linkin Park will be performing in Mumbai, India for their first show in the country ever for Lollapalooza India! In an email sent to LPUnderground members in India, the band confirmed that they will be appearing at the festival. "India has been somewhere we've wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate and we can't wait to finally bring out live show to them." ~ Mike Shinoda LPU Members who received the email have a special link that will take them to the festival's General Pre-Lineup Sale for first access in absence of an LPU Pre-sale. An exact date has not been given yet nor has the rest of the lineup dropped, but we'll bring you that info as it comes. Who's planning on going? My dad's side of the family is from Mumbai and I haven't been since I was 5 years old - this might be the thing that brings me back!

Things are definitely getting interesting on tour now! Linkin Park are bringing the From Zero World Tour to Minneapolis, Minnesota's Target Center for their tenth show in the Twin Cities area and for the first time in over ten years! Linkin Park last visited the Twin Cities in 2014 on The Hunting Party Tour where they the Minnesota State Fair mid-tour in the suburb of Falcon Heights, Minnesota. The time before that was on the A Thousand Suns World Tour, performing at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. This set featured a bunch of epic moments, including 'What I've Done' transitioning into 'Empty Spaces' and 'When They Come For Me,' 'Numb' with the Oppenheimer Outro transitioning into 'Breaking The Habit,' and a rare performance of 'Burning In The Skies!' Most of the band landed very late (8:00pm) for this show, so Meet & Greet attendees were told only Mike would be attending - but the rest of the band ended up making it! Linkin Park rocked St. Paul previously in 2008 at the same venue on the Winter North American Tour in February, where the band rolled through an epic Set T. Featuring an amazing opening sequence of 'What I've Done' with its AMBO Intro into 'Faint,' 'No More Sorrow,' 'Somewhere I Belong,' 'Lying From You,' 'From The Inside,' and 'Points Of Authority' with a verse of 'In Stereo,' you could call this one of the best opening runs the band's ever conceived. That's kick our ass in the present day! Other highlights from the set include Minutes To Midnight rarities like 'Hands Held High' and 'Valentine's Day,' as well as a double encore, the first of which opened with a sobering performance of 'My December.' Boasting all the goods like 'From The Inside,' 'Figure.09,' and 'By Myself,' the band delivered an awesome show, surely winning over hordes of Metallica fans while they were at it! Linkin Park's first show of the Meteora cycle in the city was at the Quest Club in Minneapolis on the LP Underground Tour earlier in the year, where fans were the first to hear new music from the album, including rare tracks like 'Hit The Floor' and 'Easier To Run.' Linkin Park rocked the Twin Cities four times on the Hybrid Theory World Tour, the last of which was on the Family Values Tour, rocking the Xcel Energy Center for the very first time in October 2001. A classic setlist featuring goods like 'Forgotten' and 'A Place For My Head,' the band's 45-minute set was packed full of energy. The band's very first headlining show in the city was back in February of that year, on the Street Soldiers Tour at the Quest Club where songs like 'Pushing Me Away' and 'Crawling' were being played for the first time. In December 2000, Linkin Park played 93X's Post Nut-Cracked Party Afterparty for free, after the likes of Deftones, Taproot, and Papa Roach played the actual event, while their very first show in the area was in August, on their very first tour, opening for the Union Underground's An Education In Rebellion Tour. We don't know much about these very early shows, so if you were at any and remember any details, let us know! Linkin Park performing at the Hubert H. Performing Set B ('Iridescent' interludes), the band switched up the rotations for Act I once again, whipping out 'Points Of Authority' (normally only played in Set C), 'Stained' for a second show in a row at the start of the show, and 'Crawling,' returning for the first time in three shows. The rest of the set proceeded as expected, with 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Given Up' in Act II (along with a verse of 'It's Goin' Down' over Mike's solo), 'Good Things Go' in Act III, and 'A Place For My Head' in the encore. Mike continued delivering the deep cuts with his verses, ending the night by whipping out the first verse of 'Reading My Eyes' by Xero during the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out!' With the band switching up Act I now, it's hard to say exactly what to expect at this show, but if they play things by the books, Minneapolis should be lined up for Set C with the following rotations (as per the set's last appearance in Nashville, Tennessee) : 'Points Of Authority,' 'Crawling,' and 'New Divide' in Act I, 'Castle Of Glass' and 'IGYEIH' (or possibly 'Keys To The Kingdom') in Act II, 'Stained' in Act III, and 'Let You Fade' in Act IV. With 'Stained' becoming comfortable in Act I, it'll be interesting to see what happens in this set if it appears early again! The U.S. has been missing out on some 'Cut The Bridge' action lately, too, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see that song subbed in for 'New Divide' in Act I instead of 'Stained' moving out of its regular spot. We've made it to the halfway point of the tour, and things may be starting to get interesting! Linkin Park are bringing the From Zero World Tour to the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 25, 2025! This will be Linkin Park's eleventh show in the state of Wisconsin, fifth show in the Milwaukee area, and first headlining show in Milwaukee itself! Linkin Park last visited Milwaukee in 2015 on The Hunting Party World Tour, playing their first show ever in the city itself headlining Summerfest 2015 on the final stop of their summer North American leg. The band whipped out tracks from the new record like 'Rebellion' and 'Wastelands,' even whipping out the super rare 'A Line In The Sand' for the crowd! The awesome setlist opened with 'Papercut,' also diving into heavier hits like 'Given Up' and 'From The Inside,' while also finding time for softer moments like the Ballad Medley featuring 'Leave Out All The Rest,' 'Shadow Of The Day,' and 'Iridescent,' a shortened version of 'Darker Than Blood,' and a full band 'Welcome.' This was the band's first show in or near Milwaukee in seven years, the last time before this being on Projekt Revolution 2008, when the band hit Elkhorn in the summer. Opening with a nasty sequence of 'No More Sorrow' preceded by its Long Intro and a Street Drum Corps intro, 'Lying From You,' and 'Somewhere I Belong,' Linkin Park delivered Set Z to the crowd with a strong fervor. The band brought out some rare songs like 'Wake 2.0,' 'In Pieces,' and the Minutes To Midnight Tour Version of 'Cure For The Itch.' Other treats include an album version performance of 'Pushing Me Away,' Chris Cornell joining the band for 'Crawling' after Mike rapped 'Hands Held High' over the 'KRWLNG' intro, and 'Bleed It Out' closing with a drum solo and a bit of 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Guns N' Roses! Prior to 2008, Linkin Park last visited the area on Projekt Revolution 2004, headlining the venue in Elkhorn for the first time. This show featured one of the band's most renowned setlists, with the likes of 'Don't Stay' with its Gacela Intro opening the show, the Hip-Hop Medley with 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down,' and the Blood, Anger, Suffering Outro Transition between 'Figure.09' and 'From The Inside!' And who can forget the band's cover of 'Wish' by Nine Inch Nails in the encore? The band's very first show in the area was in Elkhorn at the start of Ozzfest 2001, which was actually a very interesting show for this period of the band's history! The band completely changed their setlist at this show, opening with 'Points Of Authority' for the first and only time ever. Other treats from the set include the unstoppable combo of 'With You' and 'Runaway,' as well as 'By Myself' and 'A Place For My Head' toward the end of the set. The band was experimenting with the start of the set around this time, and this was by far the most unique set they put together at the time! The first three songs from Linkin Park's first show in the area in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on June 9, 2001. This setlist takes the cake for one of the most unique openers at the time, with 'Points Of Authority' kicking off a show for the only time ever. The last show on the From Zero World Tour took place in St. Louis, Missouri, and the setlist may be an indicator that things will be starting to get interesting on this leg! The band performed Set A, but changed up the rotations a bit in Act I in a surprising way! The expected 'Lying From You' and 'New Divide' came into play, but sandwiched between them was 'Stained,' appearing that early in the set for the first time and for only the second time outside of its regular spot in Act III - it replaced 'Crawling,' which was absent from the set for the first time this leg. The rest of the set proceeded as expected, with 'Castle Of Glass' and 'Casualty' in Act II (as well as the second verse of 'When They Come For Me' during Mike's solo), 'Over Each Other' in Act III, and 'From The Inside' in Act IV. The band began changing things up a lot by the end of the European Tour, so with Act I flipping up in St. Louis, we'll be keeping a close eye on what goes on in Milwaukee! Milwaukee is lined up for Set B with the 'Iridescent' theme, last played in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania last week. If the band keeps things according to the plan, Act I should include 'Crawling,' 'Cut The Bridge' with the Moscow Intro, and 'Lying From You,' Act II with 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Given Up,' Act III with 'Good Things Go,' and 'A Place For My Head' in the encore. Jean Dawson will be opening the show with an eclectic blend of alternative and hip-hop, and is bound to be a great start to the night with tracks like 'MENTHOL*' and 'Die For Me' dotted in his setlist. We’re a little late to the party today, but the real fun is just about to begin! Linkin Park returns to Missouri tonight for their first time in the state in 17 years at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis! Linkin Park last performed in the state in 2008, at Maryland Heights on Projekt Revolution 2008. Opening with ‘No More Sorrow’ featuring the Street Drum Corps, band whipped out a bunch of rare tracks from Minutes To Midnight including ‘In Pieces’ and ‘Wake 2.0,’ with Mike even whipping out the first verse of ‘Reading My Eyes’ over the extended intro of ‘Bleed It Out!’ Prior to that, the band last visited the state on Projekt Revolution 2004 at the same venue, featuring one of the most packed setlists the band has ever played, including the Hip-Hop Medley, the Blood Anger Suffering transition between ‘Figure.09’ and ‘From The Inside,’ and the band’s cover of ‘Wish’ by Nine Inch Nails. The From Zero World Tour is headed to the South, and the next stop is taking Linkin Park to the musical heart of America - the band lands in Nashville, Tennessee tonight for a show at the Bridgestone Arena for their first show in the state in 10 years! We're gonna flip up the history lesson today by going in order, because while Linkin Park has played some immense shows in Nashville over the years, the most important was perhaps the very first one in 2000. The band first visited Nashville in October 2000, just two weeks before Hybrid Theory was released to the world. Opening for the Kottonmouth Kings' Ridin' High Tour, the band stopped in Nashville a day early to hit the studio to record 'My December' for the year's KROQ holiday compilation, promised with an opening slot for the Almost Acoustic Christmas later that year. The song is one of very few Linkin Park songs recorded outside of Los Angeles, and once KROQ received the song on the day of the show, they pushed it straight to radio play the next day. Our friends at LPAssociation just posted an awesome in-depth look at the details of the history surrounding the recording of 'My December,' so if you're interested in this unique moment in Linkin Park's history, read their post! Something fun they noted is that the studio 'My December' was recorded in -- though it is now demolished -- is just down the street from the Bridgestone Arena that Linkin Park is playing at tonight! The band performed in Antioch, a suburb of Nashville, on an Offest day during their Ozzfest 2001 venture, the next summer in July. While we know quite a bit about the details surrounding the recording of 'My December,' we have no info on the actual shows the band played in Tennessee around this time, so if you were there and remember any info, let us know! The band returned to Nashville on the Meteora World Tour, performing their very first show at the venue (then known as the Gaylord Entertainment Center) and bringing a number of rare tracks along with them - including the Tennessee debut of 'My December!' Beyond being hit with a number of tracks from Meteora for the first time, including 'From The Inside' and 'Don't Stay' with an extended intro, the band whipped our rarities like 'It's Goin' Down' and 'Nobody's Listening' in full at this show! 'P5hng Me A*wy' was dropped from this show for an unknown reason, despite being part of the setlist for the rest of the tour. Mike brought up a fan name Dallas onstage to play 'Faint' with them, and even more guests came onstage for 'One Step Closer' - Sonny Sandoval from P.O.D., Dan Marsala from Story Of The Year, and Doug Robb from Hoobastank all came out to jam with the band! Linkin Park returned to the venue again in 2008 on the Winter North American Tour during the Minutes To Midnight World Tour, delivering the unreal Set T to the city. Opening with 'What I've Done' and its legendary AMBO Intro, the band then launched into 'Faint,' 'No More Sorrow' with its long intro, 'Somewhere I Belong,' 'Lying From You,' 'Points Of Authority' with an 'In Stereo' intro and 'There They Go' outro (which saw some technical difficulties), and 'From The Inside' - what an unreal start to a show! Other treats in the setlist included 'Hands Held High' in full, 'Valentine's Day,' and 'A Place For My Head' in the encore - and we can't forget that they threw 'My December' in again to start the first encore! Linkin Park's full show at the Gaylord Entertainment Center (now the Bridgestone Arena) in Nashville, Tennessee on February 29, 2004. An essential recording of this tour, which featured an awesome setlist full of rarities we'd love to see today! Linkin Park last performance in Nashville was in 2015, on the ill-fated The Hunting Party North American Tour. Nashville was the second of only three shows that actually took place on that tour after the majority of it had to be cancelled due to Chester breaking his ankle before the following show in Indianapolis. This setlist saw the debut of the 2015 version of Set B for its one and only performance. 'From The Inside' and 'A Place For My Head' were added to the set in place of 'With You,' 'Rebellion,' 'Somewhere I Belong,' and 'Until It's Gone,' while the 2014 version of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You' appeared for the very last time to date. Aaron Pauley of Of Mice & Men came out to join the band for the 'Iridescent' portion of the Ballad Medley, while former vocalist Austin Carlile came out to sing 'Faint' with them! Linkin Park's sixth show in Nashville is tonight - will history continue to be written? Linkin Park performing the 'Remember The Name' portion of Mike's Solo Medley and the 2014 Abridged Version of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You' at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on January 17, 2015! This was the last time 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You' was performed in any form, with the original 'Lying From You' returning to the sets in 2024. The band brought the house down once again at their last show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday! Linkin Park delivered Set B (with 'Iridescent' interludes) to the crowd, opening Act I with 'Somewhere I Belong,' 'Crawling,' 'Cut The Bridge' with the Moscow Intro, 'Lying From You,' and 'The Emptiness Machine.' Act II followed suit with its standard run including 'Up From The Bottom' and 'The Catalyst.' 'Castle Of Glass' and 'Given Up' rotated into their respective slots, but Mike really brought the goods with his solo medley, rapping his verse from the Ziggurats album's 'Richard Bachman' for the first time ever! Not only was this the song's first appearance ever, it was the first time anything from Mike's Twitch/NFT collection of songs has been performed live! Seems like some more rare verses are back on the menu after he was seeming to get comfortable with 'Lift Off' and 'Until It Breaks' for a bit! 'Good Things Go' came in Act III, while 'A Place For My Head' took the final rotation in the encore. 'One' by Metallica was played by Mike on keys during the extended intro of 'Overflow,' as well. While the variety on the setlists from night to night may not be as unpredictable as the Europe Tour this summer, there are still fun moments every night making each show special! If the band keeps their setlist rotation in order, Nashville should be lined up for Set C ('Burn It Down' vocals in the interludes) tonight, last performed in Detroit, Michigan a week ago. Set C should deliver the following songs to Nashville: 'Points Of Authority,' 'Crawling,' and 'New Divide' in Act I, 'Lies Greed Misery' and either 'IGYEIH' or 'Keys To The Kingdom' (likely the latter, as 'IGYEIH' was played in Detroit) in Act II, 'Stained' in Act III, and 'Let You Fade' at the end of the main set. Given that the song was essentially born in the city, LOTS of fans online have been campaigning for the band to add 'My December' into the show for tonight's set! The song was being performed in a new acoustic version in 2024, so it's really not out of the question for the band to bring it back out tonight for Nashville. The song hasn't been performed in its home since 2008 on the Minutes To Midnight Tour after being skipped in 2015, so it's high time for a homecoming performance! IT would be a lovely moment as 'My December' was perhaps one of the most emotional moments of the sets last year, and was really a welcome treat for everyone who got to hear it. We'd love to see it make an appearance in Nashville, too, so we're right there with all of you hoping it shows up! Pennsylvania, we're not done with you just yet! After a much needed few days off, the From Zero World Tour continues back to the west as Linkin Park returns to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the first time since 2003 (and the first time in the area since 2008) for their first show ever at the PPG Paints Arena on August 19, 2025! While Philly gets most of the attention from the band in this state, this will be Linkin Park's fifth show in Pittsburgh, our eighth overall if we include Burgettstown right outside of Pittsburgh. That's where the band's last show in the Pittsburgh-area was back in 2008 on Projekt Revolution 2008, performing at the Post-Gazette Pavilion (now called The Pavilion at Star Lake) as the second stop of the tour. The band debuted a modified Set Y at this show, making changes like switching out the piano version of 'Pushing Me Away' for the album version and subbing in 'We Made It,' a rare performance of the song right off its debut with Busta Rhymes, Spliff Star, and Adam Monroe all joining the band onstage. Chris Cornell joined the band for 'Crawling,' which featured its 'KRWLNG' intro with a verse of 'Hands Held High' over it. Other great moments from this show include the Street Drum Corps performing an intro before 'What I've Done' and its AMBO Intro opened the show and coming out again for 'One Step Closer' to end the show with Linkin Park and Mike rapping 'Bloc Party' over the extended intro of 'Points Of Authority!' Chester also joined Chris Cornell during his set earlier in the day for 'Hunger Strike' by Temple Of The Dog! The band's show before that in the area was also at this venue in Burgettstown, though this time we are jumping back to the Meteora World Tour - more specifically, Projekt Revolution 2004! This show came more in the middle of the tour, but featured all the epics you'd expect from a tour this famous: the Blood, Anger, Suffering Outro Transition from 'Figure.09' into 'From The Inside,' Jonathan Davis coming out to sing the Reanimated Bridge on 'One Step Closer,' the Hip-Hop Medley featuring 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down' (featuring breakdancing from Ivan the Urban Action Figure), and the band's cover of Nine Inch Nails' 'Wish!' Bert McCracken from The Used came out as well to play 'Faint' with the band. Pittsburgh has certainly seen a whole crew of guests come out throughout the years! Things get a little hazy from here. Linkin Park's last show in Pittsburgh proper goes all the way back to December 2003, headlining The X's Kick Ass X-Mas. Weatherman Rogue Soul taking over the history section here - heavy snow in the area almost prevented this show from occurring as it was uncertain as to whether or not all the bands could make it through the conditions - but the show went on! We have no idea what the set was at this show (as is the case for many of these earlier shows in Pittsburgh), but we know the fans who braved the snow definitely got a kick ass set. Jumping back to the Hybrid Theory World Tour, the band's first jaunt in Burgettstown was on Ozzfest 2001. We don't know the setlist once again for this one, but we know something that's perhaps far more important: Chester dressed up as Super Chester and invaded Papa Roach's stage during their set (it was Jacoby Shaddix's birthday)! The only known set from Pittsburgh around this area was from earlier in the year, when the band played Metropol (moved from Club Laga due to demand) on the Street Soldiers Tour - and it even has a recording! Opening with the legendary duo of 'With You' and 'Runaway,' the band burst through all of the rare Hybrid Theory essentials like 'Forgotten,' 'By Myself,' 'And One,' and the Mike Shinoda Remix of 'High Voltage,' while still finding time for the soon-to-be hits like 'Papercut' and 'In The End.' The band performed at the same venue in November 2000, opening for P.O.D. on their King Of The Game Tour. Linkin Park's very first show in Pittsburgh took place at Club Laga, opening for the Union Underground on their An Education In Rebellion Tour in July 2000. The band did a photoshoot earlier that day - and one of the photos from this shoot became the back cover of Hybrid Theory! More pictures from this show came out with the Hybrid Theory 20th Anniversary release in 2020, as well. Pittsburgh has always had a place in Linkin Park history, whether you knew it or not! If you were at any of these early shows and happen to remember some details, let us know! Also of note is that this is a make-up show of sorts for Pittsburgh, as the last time the band was scheduled to play in the city was back in 2015 - in January on the ill-fated The Hunting Party North American Tour. After breaking his ankle playing basketball before the show, Chester managed to make his way through the Indianapolis set on a scooter and crutches, Pittsburgh was next up to bat. Unfortunately, both Pittsburgh and Albany were cancelled the next day so that the severity of Chester's injury could be assessed. Ultimately, Chester needed surgery immediately and the recovery following meant that the whole rest of the tour had to be cancelled. Had the show gone on, it would've been the band's first show at the venue. Redemption is finally here for Pittsburgh! Check out the full video recording of Linkin Park's first headlining show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania back on February 15, 2001 at Metropol! Pennsylvania has continued to cement its place in Linkin Park's history books with the last show of the From Zero World Tour, which took place in Philadelphia on Saturday. This was actually the very first show at the venue after changing its name - from the Wells Fargo Center to the Xfinity Mobile Arena! The band ended the pre-show playlist with Survivor's 'Eye Of The Tiger' and The Eagles' Victory Song, during which the Eagles' mascot Swoop came out onstage! The band ripped into Set A (featuring 'Castle Of Glass' in its interludes), rotating in 'Lying From You' and 'New Divide' for Act I before 'The Emptiness Machine' wrapped up the first part of the show. 'Lies Greed Misery' returned once again in the middle of Act II before 'Two Faced,' and Mike rapped verse two of 'When They Come For Me' during his solo for the first time since Tulsa, Oklahoma back in May! 'Casualty' was the heavy rotation of the night before 'One Step Closer' brought the show to its half-way point. 'Over Each Other' was featured after 'Lost' as the ballad rotation, and 'From The Inside' topped things off at the end of the main set! The Control Colin 'Numb' intro returned at this show after being absent for a couple, and the crowd choice option #1, which led to a disco-themed 'Numb/Encore' intro and an extended jam outro. Mike also paid further tribute to Philadelphia by performing 'You Got Me' by The Roots during the extended intro of 'Overflow.' 'Heavy Is The Crown' and 'Bleed It Out' (with a verse of 'A Place For My Head' in the extended bridge) closed out the main set, meaning 'In The End' and 'Faint' brought the show to an epic close. The crowd was unrelenting and loud as hell, perhaps the loudest of the whole U.S. tour so far - what else would you expect from Philly? It feels like a stretch calling Pittsburgh part of the northeast per se, but the band's run in this corner of the country (and Canada) has been nothing short of massive for the band, with sold out shows and epic crowds to boot. Can Pittsburgh keep up the energy? Pittsburgh seems to be lined up for Set B - at this stage of the tour, it seems the band has settled in on each set having specific rotations (with a few surprises thrown in every so often), so let's see if we can predict what's coming based off the patterns from the previous shows. The last appearance of Set B ('Iridescent' themed interludes) was in Chicago last week, and featured the following rotations: 'Crawling,' 'Cut The Bridge,' and 'Lying From You' (in that order) in Act I, 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Given Up' (as well as the first appearance of 'It's Goin' Down' in Mike's solo medley) in Act II, 'Good Things Go' in Act III, and 'A Place For My Head' in the encore. That's what I'm locking in for Pittsburgh, but there's always room for change: 'IGYEIH' and 'Keys To The Kingdom' lurk in the shadows for the heavy rotation in Act II, seemingly rotating themselves between performances of Set C, but are always ready to pop out at a moment's notice! The 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Castle Of Glass' rotation is missing a third friend as well in one of the sets - perhaps bringing 'Lost In The Echo' back out could make it a true Living Things rotation spot! We'll see what happens in Pittsburgh, but we're sure whatever unfolds will be a spectacle! Linkin Park's full set at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 16, 2025! Jean Dawson will be opening the show, fresh off of his From Zero World Tour debut! His music is a blend of indie rock and hip-hop, delivering anthemic verses and soaring choruses that bring a certain kind of sunshine to the room. He opened his set in Philadelphia with 'Black Sugar,' a spiraling hip-hop track infused with 80s synthwave and verses that almost crawl out to you. Dawson runs through other tracks like 'New Age Crisis' and 'Die For Me' before wrapping things up with 'MENTHOL*.' Dawson brings a more dramatic and indie flair to the start of the night, but is definitely a great vibe to get you going! It'd be interesting to see if he comes out onstage to join the band like Lynn from PVRIS was for the first run of shows - maybe his style would suit 'Overflow' or a more mellow song like 'Where'd You Go.' If you can make it early to see him, don't miss his set! Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul clocking back in again to report it'll be pretty hot and muggy, but an otherwise pretty nice day with temperatures reaching up to the lower 90's and only dipping down to around 69°C at night. Make sure you stay hydrated and dress light! After this show, the band continues through the center of America with shows coming up in Nashville, St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis in the coming days. Linkin Park will be hitting the East Coast of Australia this upcoming March, with three dates in the continent: March 3, 2026 - Brisbane, QLD (Brisbane Entertainment Center) March 8, 2026 - Melbourne, VIC (Rod Laver Arena) March 14, 2026 - Sydney, NSW (Qudos Bank Arena) LPU pre-sales begin Monday, August 18, 2025. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, August 22 at 11am AEST. Who’s planning in going?! This will be Linkin Park’s first trip down under since they performed at the Soundwave Festival in 2013 on the Living Things World Tour - it’ll have been over 13 years by the time these shows roll around! The band were also revealed to have been confirmed for Download Australia in 2018, but due to Chester’s passing they never made it back around to the continent until now.

The From Zero World Tour is making its mark on Canada, and up next is Toronto! Linkin Park returns to Ontario for the first time in eleven years with a show at the Scotiabank Arena on August 8, 2025! This will be Linkin Park's eleventh show in Ontario, but fifteenth appearance overall - while promoting One More Light in March 2017, Mike and Chester appeared on a number of radio and news shows to perform piano versions of 'Heavy,' ahead of their album release and the later cancelled show there in August 8, 2017 (exactly 8 years to the date!). Linkin Park's last proper show in Toronto was back in 2014 on The Hunting Party Tour, in August 2014 at the Air Canada Centre on the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars. The band ran through Set A here, featuring an "encore medley" consisting of 'Lost In The Echo,' 'New Divide,' 'Crawling,' a verse of 'With You,' and 'Until It's Gone.' The band performed at the same venue on the A Thousand Suns World Tour in February 2011, where 'Burning In The Skies' managed to make a rare appearance! This was the last show before a string of cancelled dates back in the United States due to Chester falling ill. The band visited Ontario a whopping three times on the Minutes To Midnight World Tour, the last of which is particularly notable in Linkin Park live history. The band headlined Edgefest 2008 in Toronto in a string of Canadian dates preceding Projekt Revolution 2008, which didn't make it up to the country. Some band members were delayed at the airport up until 8:00pm, resulting in half the band getting to the show late. Mike and Chester kicked off the show in an acoustic format, opening with piano versions of both 'Breaking The Habit' (the first and only time it was ever fully performed like this) and 'Pushing Me Away.' The rest of the band were ready to play the show at this time, and Mike led into the full band by performing a verse of 'Hands Held High' over the album transition intro into 'What I've Done.' Talk about a wild start to the show! This show also featured the final performance of 'A Place For My Head' on the Minutes To Midnight World Tour, being dropped from their Projekt Revolution sets just a few days later. The band's show in London, Ontario earlier in the year got off without a hitch, and saw the band open with 'No More Sorrow' before diving into some deeper cuts from Minutes To Midnight like 'Valentine's Day' and 'The Little Things Give You Away.' The band's stop in Toronto on Projekt Revolution 2007 was the only performance in Canada that year and the first on the cycle, bringing tracks like a full 'Hands Held High' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' to life in the country for the first time, even delivering super rare performances of 'Cure For The Itch' and 'QWERTY' in the encore! Mike even threw a verse of 'High Voltage' over the intro of 'Points Of Authority!' Toronto has really seen a lot of exciting moments unfold with Linkin Park! The only show ever to open with piano performances of 'Breaking The Habit' and 'Pushing Me Away,' this show has a close place in fans' hearts despite it seeming quite difficult for the band! Toronto got two stops on the Meteora World Tour, the latter of which took place in early 2004, on the band's North American Tour that winter. Opening with the unstoppable combo of 'With You' with its Reanimated Intro and 'Runaway,' the band burst into a huge set featuring rarities like 'It's Goin' Down,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'My December.' The band also performed 'P5hng Me Away' from Reanimation, which they also performed at their show in 2003 opening for Metallica on the Summer Sanitarium Tour. This tour, famous for being featured on the Live In Texas DVD, brought out all the band's biggest hits like 'Numb' and 'In The End,' while also finding time for other goods like 'Figure.09' and 'Don't Stay.' The band went straight to an after party after this show where fans could ask them questions - apparently about 60 minutes of this footage is available on DVD! The Hybrid Theory World Tour saw Linkin Park hit Toronto three times - the last of which was on the Family Values Tour in October 2001. 'Forgotten' was dropped at this show so that Total Eclipse and Mista Sinista from the X-Ecutioners could come out and do a short DJ jam before 'A Place For My Head,' and 'One Step Closer' featured a rare extended bridge so that Mike could get the crowd pumped up for Stone Temple Pilots after them. Toronto was the only stop in Canada on the Ozzfest earlier that year, with the band delivering another quick set consisting of energetic tracks like 'By Myself' and 'Papercut.' Linkin Park's very first show in Toronto - and Canada overall - was a free show in November 2000, titled The Edge's New Music Night. The band opened with 'A Place For My Head' and burst through tracks that would soon take over the world from Hybrid Theory, which was only a month old at the time! With such a rich history in the state of Ontario, we're sure the band's show in 2025 will continue to add to the legacy! Really old-school stuff and some super raw energy from Linkin Park before they really took over the globe! Linkin Park kicked off their string of Canadian dates with two nights in Montréal, and the action kept coming from the start of Night 1 to the end of Night 2! Between both nights, the band just about hit every rotation song they have in their locker: Act I of both nights had 'Crawling,' but Night 1 featured 'Lying From You' and 'Cut The Bridge' while Night 2 saw 'Points Of Authority' and 'New Divide.' Act II saw a new rotation of 'Castle Of Glass' and 'Lies Greed Misery' take full form, while Night 1 got 'Given Up' and Night 2 saw the return of 'Keys To The Kingdom' to the heavy rotation after Mike's solo medley. Mike whipped out verses of 'Until It Breaks' and 'Lift Off' from Post Traumatic during that part of the show, too! 'Good Things Go' and 'Stained' rotated in for the ballad rotations at each show respectively, while the end-of-set rotation saw the band flip between 'A Place For My Head' and 'Let You Fade' between both nights. Night 1 closed out with the regular 'Bleed It Out,' while Night 2 ended with 'Faint.' The real headline of the shows was that Emily Armstrong hit the full 'Heavy Is The Crown' scream not once, but twice at both shows! What's even better about this is that Chester hit the full scream at the very same venue (Montréal's Centre Bell) in 2008 - something must be in the air in Canada! The band has kept things pretty simple to start off the second leg of the North American Tour, keeping the setlists pretty much the same as they start to get performed a second time with this next round of shows (i.e., Set A, Set B, etc. are starting to be the same between shows). The exception so far was 'Keys To The Kingdom' at Montréal Night 2 instead of 'IGYEIH.' Things got pretty spicy on the European Tour earlier in the summer, and we're sure that once the band settles into the tour that they'll start playing around with things more. That being said, it seems that Toronto may be lined up for Set A with the 'Castle Of Glass' theme, which featured 'Lying From You,' 'Crawling,' 'New Divide,' 'Lies Greed Misery,' 'Casualty,' 'Over Each Other,' and 'A Place For My Head' as rotation songs. The biggest questions lie in the heavy rotation and the new 'Castle'/'Lies' spot - will 'IGYEIH' come up next, or will the band rotate back around to 'Casualty' and reset the cycle? And will 'Lies Greed Misery' come out for a second night in a row like it did in Newark, New Jersey the last time the set was played, or will 'Castle Of Glass' return? It's not too late for the band to turn this spot into a Living Things rotation, as 'Lost In The Echo' is still in their back pocket from last year and hasn't made an appearance since 2024. It could be prime time to bring this song back into the mix to give each set a unique set of tracks! And we're still waiting for 'Unshatter' to make its live debut so that we have a 100% completion on From Zero. No matter what happens, we'll have you covered on all the juicy details! PVRIS will be opening the show once again, and you don't want to miss them - they're easily the most beloved openers of the tour so far, and have already won over hordes of Linkin Park fans during their sets this tour! They've been switching their sets up on tour as well, rotating through 'HYPE ZOMBIES' and 'Oil & Water' at the recent shows in Montréal, and also whipping out the likes of 'Hallucinations' in Boston. Their set opens with high energy tracks 'GOOD ENEMY' and 'ANIMAL,' while closing out just as heavily and dramatically with 'GODDESS.' The song 'TAKE MY NIRVANA,' produced by Mike Shinoda, has also become a staple in their set. Lynn Gunn has been guesting on 'Burn It Down' with the band, and with only a few shows left with them on tour, you'll want to get in on all the PVRIS action while you still can! It's been a busy week for the LPLive staff as we covered the first few shows of the tour, but we're back home and ready to get back into action - and the band is too! Linkin Park are bringing the From Zero World Tour up to Canada for another multiple-night stand at Montréal's Centre Bell (their first for the country), and the action kicks off tonight, August 5, 2025! This will be Linkin Park's eighth show in the Canadian province of Québec, and their first sixth in Montréal. We'll split up the history lesson again for these shows, so let's start where the band left off in the area: The Hunting Party World Tour. Linkin Park headlined the Amnesia Rockfest in June 2015 in Montebello, delivering a shortened version of their festival setlist but still finding time to deliver performances of 'A Line In The Sand' and 'Wastelands' (transitioning from a shortened version of 'Runaway') to the crowd. This was the band's second visit to the province on the world tour, with a headlining show at the Park Jean-Drapeau in Montréal just the summer before on the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars, where they played even more tracks from The Hunting Party including 'Guilty All The Same,' 'Rebellion,' and 'Final Masquerade.' The band played Set B at this show, which also featured the 2014 Abridged Version of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You' and 'Somewhere I Belong' rotating in. The band only managed to visit Central and Western Canada on the Living Things World Tour, making their first performance in the province in the 2010s their stop at Centre Bell on the A Thousand Suns World Tour - the last time they played at tonight's venue! The band performed there in February 2011, with cuts like 'Blackout' and 'Iridescent' from A Thousand Suns filling the setlist with an apocalyptic sense of drama. Older tracks like 'Shadow Of The Day' and 'No More Sorrow' were also thrown into the mix, and en epic encore complete with 'When They Come For Me,' 'Papercut,' 'New Divide,' 'Crawling,' and 'One Step Closer' closed out the show. This set featured some awesome tracks, including a very rare performance of 'A Line In The Sand.' The band's last show on the From Zero World Tour took place in my home state of New Jersey, with their first show ever at the Prudential Center in Newark! While it was sadly the last show of the LPLive run, it may just have been the most fun! With a loud crowd ready to sing the hits, the band dove into tracks like 'Crawling,' 'New Divide,' and 'Lying From You' in Act I before 'The Emptiness Machine' wrapped up the act. Act II followed as normal, with the exception of 'Lies Greed Misery' rotating in (in place of 'Castle Of Glass') for a second show just after its first performance in 11 years at Boston night two, likely to get some more practice in on the song as the tour progresses. Mike rapped 'Petrified' over his solo medley before 'Casualty' rocked the place, with 'One Step Closer' ending the first half of the show before the crew began moving the instruments onstage around during the Break/Collapse Transition. 'Over Each Other' featured as the ballad rotation, and none other than Santa himself picked a funky style for the Colin Control Intro for 'Numb.' 'From The Inside' made its second appearance on the North American leg, before 'Heavy Is The Crown' and 'Bleed It Out' closed out the main set. Resolution Intro A ('Castle Of Glass' theme), 'Papercut,' 'In The End,' and 'Faint' closed out the night once again, making it the third time out of four shows this leg that 'Faint' has closed after the band brought the sequence back at the end of the European Leg during Night Two in Frankfurt, Germany. It seems like the band is loving closing with 'Faint' again (we're loving it, too), and we're likely to see it happen again at least once between the two shows in Montréal! Linkin Park's full show at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on August 3, 2025, filmed by legendary taper Jim Powers! It's anyone's best guess as to what the band will be bringing out for their first stops in Canada on the tour, but between the two nights we're bound to see some surprises! Act I has a total of five potential songs, with the three from Newark as well as 'Points Of Authority' and 'Cut The Bridge' (with the Moscow Intro) as potential tracks that could also come out. 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Castle Of Glass' seem to be in rotation with each other now, adding some more spice to Act II before Mike's Solo and the heavy rotation - 'Casualty' at the last show leaves 'Given Up,' 'IGYEIH,' or the as-of-yet unseen 'Keys To The Kingdom' as the likeliest contenders for this spot in the next show. 'Stained' and 'Good Things Go' are also lined up for some action in the ballad rotation, while 'A Place For My Head' or 'Let You Fade' while likely appear at the end of the set in place of 'From The Inside.' All of this as well as smaller moments like the Colin Control 'Numb/Encore' intro and the Shinoda keyboard cover during the 'Overflow' intro will make ascertain that every second of these next two shows will be something special, and we're excited to see what the band will be cooking up for Canada! These shows and Boston were the only two multiple-night stands left this year, so get ready for some action. PVRIS will once again be opening the show, and I have to say it really seems like no other opening act on the tour so far has won over the crowd like they have. Opening with 'GOOD ENEMY' and 'ANIMAL,' PVRIS's set begins with a huge burst of rocking energy. Linkin Park hasn't been the only one changing their setlists, as PVRIS have delivered at least one new song every night - in Newark, 'HYPE ZOMBIES' and 'Oil & Water' got their tour debut, while other tracks like 'Hallucinations' and 'Monster' have also been seen. They added 'TAKE MY NIRVANA' to the set, the song from their latest album EVERGREEN which Mike produced! To top it all off, Lynn Gunn has started guesting onstage with the band for 'Burn It Down,' too, so the PVRIS action doesn't end when their set does! They'll be on the road with the band for a few more shows (their last stop being Detroit next week), so be sure to check out their set if you can get there in time! Night Two at the Centre Bell in Montréal takes place the next day before the band heads to the capital, Toronto, for another arena show. The band heads back down to the U.S. after that with shows in Chicago (Nico aka GlassCastles' hometown show!), Detroit, and Philadelphia. Rumors are starting to fly that Linkin Park will be returning to Australia possibly as early as December 2025, so it looks like the band's touring schedule won't be dying down any time soon! We're only at the start of the longest stretch of shows the band has so far on the whole World Tour, so strap in, because we're not slowing down yet! Ladies and gentlemen, my moment has come. Linkin Park is returning to my home state of New Jersey for the first time in eleven years, performing at the venue I've seen the single most concerts at for the first time: the Prudential Center in Newark on August 3, 2025! I'm not going easy on you today. We're about to dive deep into some history today; you're about to learn some shit. The last time Linkin Park visited the Garden State was in 2014, with two stops here on the tour with my favorite lineup ever, the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars and AFI! The last show overall was at Holmdel's PNC Bank Arts Center - basically in my backyard as it's a light 15 minute drive away from me! The band rocked the amphitheater with Set A - unleashing the likes of 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Rebellion' upon Central Jersey (yes it exists). The encore "medley" saw the band bust through songs like 'Lost In The Echo' and 'Until Its Gone,' even throwing a verse of 'With You' into the mix! Camden was just before this two shows before (I refuse to let you claim it, Philly. No matter how much of a shitshow it may be), at the then-name Susquehanna Bank Center (now the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion) and much to my dismay - they also played Set A at this show. Despite me getting the same setlist twice, each show packed a punch and was a blast to be at! The band was due to play Atlantic City for the first time in 2015, but unfortunately do to Chester breaking his ankle, the show was cancelled and never rescheduled. The band once again hit Camden on their summer tour east coast special on the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus, gracing us with the massive Set B featuring the 'A Place For My Head' show opener and an epic encore featuring 'Papercut' and 'Lying From You' following 'Tinfoil' and 'Faint.' The band hosted an LPU Summit at the venue before the show, running a Q&A as well as delivering 'In My Remains' and 'The Messenger' acoustic for fans in attendance. This was my second Linkin Park show ever! Sadly for me, this is where my consciousness tuned out and I was too young to. attend any of the previous shows - but there was a lot of action in this state going on while I was still in diapers. The full livestream recording of Linkin Park's show in Camden, New Jersey's Susquehanna Bank Center on August 15, 2014. This was the band's latest show in the state! While the band didn't visit the state during the A Thousand Suns World Tour, they were getting busy here during the Minutes To Midnight World Tour with five shows! Projekt Revolution 2008 hit us with the Holmdel and Camden special once again, with both shows getting Set Z, but two different versions of it! Camden was first up with the first appearance of the set all tour, delivering songs like 'In Pieces' and 'Wake 2.0,' and even a rare 'We Made It' performance in the encore (which Mike almost entirely forgot his verse during)! A studio version of 'Pushing Me Away' also hit the crowd after a false start, not long before a freak thunderstorm also hit the venue. Luckily, there were no interruptions with the setlist as a result of it. Holmdel saw mostly the same set with some changes: the dual encore was dropped for an unknown reason along with 'Cure For The Itch,' instead opening with 'What I've Done.' This was the final performance of 'We Made It' as Busta Rhymes didn't even play his set that day and disappeared from the tour completely after this show. The band also switched around the positions of 'Faint' and 'One Step Closer,' with 'One Step Closer' now closing the main set. The 'Points Of Authority' intro actually saw basically a complete performance of 'Petrified' between the two shows, with Verse 1 being performed in Camden and Verse 2 in Holmdel. Chris Cornell also joined the band for 'Crawling' after the 'KRWLNG' intro with a verse of 'Hands Held High' at both shows! 2007 also got the summer tour special on Projekt Revolution 2007, except that the stops at the two cities came at the end of the tour, for a change! Camden started things off with a 'No More Sorrow' opener, launching straight into 'Lying From You,' 'Somewhere I Belong,' 'Wake,' and 'Given Up.' What a start! This set featured more treats like 'Hands Held High' in its entirety and 'Don't Stay,' as well as new songs from Minutes To Midnight like 'The Little Things Give You Away' and 'Shadow Of The Day.' 'QWERTY' was unfortunately dropped, but 'Don't Stay' was added in perhaps a replacement. 'Breaking The Habit' opened the encore, being performed for the very first time with its studio intro and no extended intro. Holmdel start off in similar fashion a few days later, with the same beginning run of songs but the main body of the set switched up. New Jersey was denied 'QWERTY' a second time (shame), but we got an interesting encore opening with 'The Little Things Give You Away' before 'Cure For The Itch' led into a 'One Step Closer' and 'Faint' show closing sequence. Nasty business is always occurring in Jersey! That's not all for 2007, because Linkin Park headlined the now defunct Bamboozle Festival earlier that year, marking their first performance in the United States since 2005. This show featured everything you'd expect from an early Minutes To Midnight set, opening with 'One Step Closer' with its Gunshot Intro. this show also featured the only performance of 'Runaway' on the entire cycle, and the only performance of the song until it returned in 2012! A full audience recording of Linkin Park's headlining set at Bamboozle 2007 in East Rutherford, New Jersey on May 6, 2007. This was the last performance of 'Runaway' until 2012, and the only one from 2006 onwards! Linkin Park's run in New Jersey on Projekt Revolution 2004 was nothing short of... revolutionary. First up was Holmdel, a standard show up until the end of the main set where things started getting... freaky. Jay-Z came out for the encore, ripping 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You' and 'Big Pimpin'/Papercut' during the encore! The full versions of 'Lying From You' and 'Papercut' were omitted from the set so they could play these with Jay. This was the only time he joined the band for one of their headlining shows until 2008! The second show of the run was none other than the legendary Camden 2004 show, which boasts perhaps the amongst the best known Linkin Park proshots known to the fanbase. With beautiful recordings of all the legendary moments like their cover of Nine Inch Nails' 'Wish,' the Blood, Anger, Suffering Outro Transition between 'Figure.09' and 'From The Inside,' Jonathan Davis joining the band for the Reanimated Bridge of 'One Step Closer,' and even the boy Sal sending up a guy who didn't know how to play 'Faint' on guitar! If you haven't seen this whole show, you're missing out on a piece of history! Things were a little different in 2003, with Linkin Park making an appearance in East Rutherford (the same spot as the Bamboozle Festival) at Giants Stadium (now Metlife Stadium), opening for Metallica on the famous Summer Sanitarium Tour. The setlist matched the Live In Texas DVD, and featured all the goods like 'P5hng Me A*wy,' 'Numb' fresh off its live debut, and 'One Step Closer' closing the show. The band played in the same area as their last show in the state of the Hybrid Theory World Tour, playing at the Continental Airlines Arena (later known as the IZOD Center before being shutdown completely) on the Family Values Tour, featuring setlist highlights like a rare 'Step Up' and Aaron Lewis from Staind guesting on 'One Step Closer.' The band's very first Camden & Holmdel summer special hit on the Ozzfest in 2001 (RIP Ozzy), though the shows were separated considerably. The tour ended with a two night stand at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, both opening with the 'With You' and 'Runaway' combo. Chester was apparently ordered by doctors to not play these last two shows of the festival due to a spider bite he sustained in Massachusetts a few shows prior causing him to become delusional and confused, but he played the show anyway. Maybe he thought he was about to embark on a Spiderman arc, but sadly that did not happen - though the band did end up delivering some strong shows! Camden also got two shows that tour in the middle of it, though they were inexplicably separated by about two and a half weeks. The first took place in early July 2001, a fun moment from the show being that Chester started his iconic "C'mon!" scream for 'With You' before the song even began, leading to him holding it longer than usual! Footage from this show was used in the live music video for 'Points Of Authority,' too! Their second show there took place later that July, and while we don't know the full setlist, we know the regular 'Welcome To The Jungle' by Guns 'N' Roses show intro led right into 'With You.' Finally, the band's very first show in the state took place in the town of Old Bridge (another town I live quite close to) at the defunct Birch Hill Nite Club - their last show on a quick run of headlining bar shows in the Northeast. There's been a lot of action in the state of New Jersey, and I'm now here to ascertain that keeps happening! You know what time it is. This is a full proshot recording of Linkin Park's show at the Tweeter Center at the Waterfront (present-day Freedom Mortgage Pavilion) on August 3, 2004. If you haven't seen this show before... are you really an LPLive member? The band made sure to make their first headlining 2 night stand in the States something to remember! Night 1 featured a slightly more traditional set, though the band still tossed in a couple of treats. 'Bleed It Out' (along with a verse from 'There They Go') closed the show for the first time on this leg, with fan favorites 'Cut The Bridge', 'Good Things Go', and 'A Place For My Head' rounding out some of the rotation slots. The latter returned to the encore after Brooklyn's "encore rotation" (filled by 'From The Inside') moved up to Act 4. The "Control Colin" game on 'Numb' also saw a slight evolution, with the gospel theme extending into a jam outro for the song! Night 2 is where things got a bit freakier. 'Points Of Authority' (which has become somewhat rare this year) returned to Act 1, and fellow rarities 'IGYEIH' and 'Stained' filled out the latter rotations. A special shoutout to 'Let You Fade' (which took up the encore/Act 4 rotation) feels due since a group of fans coordinated shirts to spell out the title line! Maybe it wasn't what got them to throw it in the set, but it certainly got Emily's attention! The real surprise of the night came in what is usually the 'Castle Of Glass' spot. As a treat for night 2, the band brought out 'LIES GREED MISERY' for the first time since January 2014! The band had posted a couple teasers of them at soundcheck, and some eagle eyed fans spotted the lyrics to the song on the teleprompter. It's very refreshing to see them adding in deep cuts this far into the tour! Who knows what else is on the docket?! And to top it off, Lynn Gunn from opener PVRIS joined the band on stage for the second half of 'Burn It Down'! Boston truly was given a stellar experience across both nights. 'Lies Greed Misery' live from Boston, night 2. If you couldn't tell, Nico was quite excited for this! Speaking of PVRIS, they've been absolutely killing it, and it seems like Linkin Park's attitude towards changing the set is contagious! Every night has been different so far! Boston night 1 saw 'TAKE MY NIRVANA' (produced by a somewhat familiar name in Mike Shinoda) replacing 'BURN THE WITCH', and night 2 saw the addition of Use Me's 'Hallucinations' (as well as the return of 'BURN THE WITCH'). Of course, staples like 'GOOD ENEMY' and 'My House' continue to explode on stage. If you're going to these shows, you'd be doing a disservice by missing out on PVRIS. Now what does all this mean for Newark? Who knows?! Boston covered a good chunk of the band's rotation options, so anything could be on the table. Of all the songs performed this year, 'Keys To The Kingdom' is the only one not to have been played on this leg of the tour. That could very well be on the docket for Sunday! Rotations from Brooklyn like 'Casualty' and 'Over Each Other' are also very much in the realm of possibility. Reaching a bit further, 'Unshatter' remains the only song from the From Zero era that hasn't been played live yet, and I doubt anyone would complain about more new songs joining the fray! Weatherman Rogue Soul has some good news for his fellow New Jesreyans! It's should be a nice, sunny day for the show. The heat wave is mostly behind us, so we're looking at some cooler 70s-low 80s temperature-wise, which is a welcome change from Brooklyn's sweltering heat. We're back in Boston for round two! Linkin Park continues the From Zero World Tour with their first ever multiple-night headlining stand in the United States in their career for their second and final night at TD Garden on August 1, 2025! In the last pre-show post we talked about Linkin Park's history in Massachusetts from the One More Light era back to the Minutes To Midnight era, so today we'll dive back even further for the first portion of the band's career. The band played four shows in the state back on the Meteora World Tour, the last of which took place on Projekt Revolution 2004 in Mansfield. This set featured many of the classic late-Meteora moments, notably the Blood, Anger, Suffering Transition Outro between 'Figure.09' and 'From The Inside,' the Hip-Hop Medley of 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down,' and their cover of 'Wish' by Nine Inch Nails! Earlier in the year, at the very start of the 2004 North American Tour in January, opening with 'With You' and 'Runaway' before diving into other goodies like full renditions of 'IT's Goin' Down,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and a rare 'My December' and 'P5hng Me A*wy' in the encore preceding 'A Place For My Head' and 'One Step Closer.' Absolutely nasty! The band played two shows in the state as well in 2003, the second being that summer on the legendary Summer Sanitarium tour opening for Metallica at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. This show had the same set as the Live In Texas release, featuring all the goods from that DVD like performances of 'P5hng Me A*wy' and 'Crawling' with its 'KRWLNG' intro. Earlier in the year, Linkin Park brought Meteora songs live to the United States for the very first time with a performance in Worcester in March 2001 on the LP Underground Tour. Tracks like 'Somewhere I Belong' and 'Lying From You' were fresh off the presses at this show, and with his being their first U.S. show of the whole world tour, fans heard some truly explosive tracks for the very first time, even being treated to some very rare songs like 'Hit The Floor' and 'Easier To Run.' The band performed in Massachusetts a whopping six times on the Hybrid Theory World Tour, visiting there nearly every time they did a U.S. run (and there were a lot of those back then). The band's last show on the cycle there was on the inaugural Projekt Revolution 2002, visiting Lowell. This show took place on Mike's birthday, and at one point in the show they had the crowd help them sing Happy Birthday to him! 2001 saw the band in the state four total times, the last of which was on the Family Values Tour in Worcester. While 'Forgotten' was dropped from this show and all the following shows on this tour, the set did feature some rare tracks like 'Step Up' and 'Pushing Me Away.' Aaron Lewis from Staind also came out to guest on 'One Step Closer' to close out the show! When the band performed on Ozzfest 2001 (RIP Ozzy), the tour had two stops in Mansfield that August. The first night featured a fairly standard Hybrid Theory-era set opening with 'With You' and 'Runaway' before diving into other songs like 'Points Of Authority' and 'By Myself.' Chester performed 'Walk' by Pantera with Disturbed at this show during their set, too! We don't have a setlist for the second night, but we do know from the Frat Party At The Pancake Festival DVD that Chester got bit "on the ass" by a poisonous spider at this show. Not quite the rarities we're looking for, but we'll have to take it. Earlier in the year, the band played a NEMO Music Showcase in Boston for their second show in the city, and while we don't know the exact setlist, we do know 'With You' opened and that they ran through other tracks like 'Forgotten' and 'Crawling.' The band's very first show in Boston and Massachusetts overall was in November 2000, playing WBCN's X-Mas Rave. We have very little info about many of these early shows in the state, so if you were there, let us know what you remember! A full recording of Linkin Park's show in Worcester, Massachusetts on the Family Values Tour on October 27, 2001. While the quality on this isn't so great, watching it will definitely transport you to a different time! Night One in Boston was nothing short of a spectacle. The LPLive team was live in the seats (and on Instagram, in fact) for this show, and it was the first time we'd seen the 360 setup from anywhere but the pit! The LPU Reserved section offers a great view and a great sound - and we'd definitely recommend it if you're still looking at options in the future! The band whipped out 'Crawling' and 'Lying From You' in Act I once again, but brought back 'Cut The Bridge' with the Moscow Intro, and it absolutely roared to life! 'Given Up' took the heavy rotation slot, right after Mike whipped out the demo verse (which we're pretty sure that he thinks is the real verse) of 'Lift Off' from Post Traumatic during his solo medley. 'Good Things Go' made an appearance in the ballad rotation before Mike played 'One' by Metallica over the extended intro of 'Overflow.' The gospel theme won for a second show in a row (boo) for the Colin Control intro for 'Numb,' but the band brought back the outro jam for the song and did some pretty extensive work with it. 'In The End' and 'Faint' returned to the main set, with 'Heavy Is The Crown and 'Bleed it Out' resuming their regular closing position in the encore. 'A Place For My Head' made an appearance in the encore as well (which was awesome as it was my friend who had never seen the band's one request), that rotation slot returning to the end of the set as well. 'Bleed It Out' featured 'There They Go' over the extended bridge, as well! With this being the third show under the band's belt for this run, there's just a few rotations left that we haven't seen that should pop up here. Act I is only missing the likes of 'Points Of Authority' from the list of potentials, and 'New Divide' could make a comeback for some playtime in Boston. The heavy rotation could go to either 'IGYEIH' or 'Keys To The Kingdom' if the band doesn't repeat anything yet. 'Stained' is the last ballad in the books for the Act III rotation, and 'Let You Fade' may be geared up for an encore appearance. It seems quite likely that 'In The End' and 'Faint' swap back to close the show again now that the band is getting more comfortable with that sequence. Night 2 was the original night announced, meaning this'll be the ones where some truly hardcore fans will be at - could bigger surprises be in store for us? Let us know your predictions! PVRIS will once again be opening the show, and as these are hometown shows for them, we're sure they'll have some extra fervor to deliver! Their sets have been nothing short of epic, delivering that right blend of alternative rock and electronica that fits right into the Linkin Park ethos. Opening with 'GOOD ENEMY' and 'ANIMAL,' Lynn Gunn commands our attention as the band busts out more familiar tunes like 'Dead Weight' and 'My House.' Newer cuts like 'Snakes' and 'Burn The Witch' made their way into the set as well before 'GODDESS' brings the show to a climactic end. If you can make it in time to see the show, definitely don't miss PVRIS! We're still holding out on a guest feature as well, whether its Mike coming out for a song (he produced 'TAKE MY NIRVANA' from their new record) or Lynn coming out for a Linkin Park song! The longest tour leg of an already intense year on the road for Linkin Park has commenced with a bang, and they're continuing the opening run with a grand two-night stay at the esteemed TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, with Night One kicking off on July 31, 2025! This will be Linkin Park's fifth show in the city of Boston and sixteenth show in the state of Massachusetts overall - seeing as they're playing two shows in the city, we'll split the history lessons in half for these posts! This will be the band's first show in the state in eleven years, with their last show there taking place in Mansfield's Xfinity Center on the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars in August 2014 (a stop at the same venue was set to kick off the One More Light North American Tour in 2017 that ultimately never took place). The band whipped out Set B, which at the time featured 'With You,' an abridged version of 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You,' and 'Somewhere I Belong' as rotation songs, while also bringing some heaviness from The Hunting Party to life with 'Guilty All The Same,' 'Rebellion,' and 'Final Masquerade.' The band performed at the same venue (then called the Comcast Center) at the start of the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus in August 2012, debuting the tour's Set C, featuring 'Tinfoil' and 'Faint' opening the show, leading right into 'Papercut,' 'Given Up,' 'With You,' and 'Somewhere I Belong.' The band had worked up 'Lost In The Echo' and 'Victimized' (mashed up with 'QWERTY') for the tour, while also bringing out 'Burn It Down' and 'Lies Greed Misery' from Living Things. 'Until It Breaks' verse three featured over the famous Wall Of Noise Intro for 'Waiting For The End' for an extra touch, while a cover of the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' blew up the bridge of 'Bleed It Out.' The band's only other show at TD Garden took place on the A Thousand Suns North American Tour in February 2011. Boasting a number of huge tracks from the record like 'When They Come For Me' and 'Burning In The Skies,' the band brought some magic to their first arena show Boston with an epic setlist. The Minutes To Midnight World Tour saw the band hit Massachusetts twice, the latter of which was the kickoff of Projekt Revolution 2008 in Mansfield. Opening with a huge run of 'One Step Closer' with its Gunshot Intro, 'Lying From You' with its 2008 Intro, and 'Somewhere I Belong,' the band burst right into the newly modified Set X, which also featured the live debut of 'We Made It' with Busta Rhymes, Spliff Star, and Adam Monroe as the first encore. This would be one of only a few performances of the song, as Busta Rhymes would drop off of the tour only a few shows into the tour! Other treats in the set included 'The Little Things Give You Away,' 'Wake 2.0,' and 'Crawling' featuring Chris Cornell as well as the 'KRWLNG' intro with a verse of 'Hands Held High.' Their stop in Mansfield came near the end of Projekt Revolution 2007, but the band was just as energized as ever with a huge setlist featuring rare tracks from Minutes To Midnight like 'In Pieces.' Brad played a different guitar solo to 'Shadow Of The Day' at this show, and Mike brought out a verse of 'Nobody's Listening' for the intro of 'Points Of Authority.' Chester spoke about New Orleans, and mentioned other states that were then being affected by a number of tropical storms before 'The Little Things Give You Away,' dedicating the song to "those people who are needing someone right now." Linkin Park's full show at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on February 1, 2011! The A Thousand Suns Tour stage setup was really unique and really set the mood for the epic show. The tour kickoff show in Brooklyn, New York started things off with flying colors, and definitely set the tone for the upcoming shows! Opening with a familiar Inception Intro A (with the 'Castle Of Glass' theme) into 'Somewhere I Belong,' the band launched into Act I with the likes of 'Crawling,' 'Lying From You,' and 'New Divide' before 'The Emptiness Machine' wrapped things up. Act II remained largely unchanged, with 'Up From The Bottom' returning to its regular spot after being moved up in the set at the end of the European leg in Saint Denis, France. Mike went into the crowd for his solo medley, and gave his signed hat to our friend Janhvi (LP India) at the front of the barricade before whipping out 'Until It Breaks' verse 3 for the nightly random verse. 'Casualty' made it into the heavy rotation spot before 'One Step Closer' closed out the first half of the show. As the band is returning to their 360 stage setup with this tour, the crew flipped the instruments onstage around to face the other side of the crowd during the Break/Collapse Transition, before the half piano-half full band 'Lost' started off the next half of the show. Mike performed the Godfather Theme during the intro of 'Overflow,' and actually finally gave the number game before 'Numb' a name - the "Control Colin" 'Numb/Encore' intro, and featured a new genre with Colin playing gospel drums. The encore rotation spot seems to have been moved back into the end of the main set again, and it can now include 'From The Inside' as the song was performed in place of 'A Place For My Head' and 'Let You Fade.' The whole end of Act IV was flipped around as 'Heavy Is The Crown' and 'Bleed It Out' were moved up to close out the main set instead of the encore, and Mike surprised us all in the crowd by rapping a verse of The Notorious B.I.G.'s 'Notorious Thugs' over the extended bridge for the first time ever! With 'Bleed It Out' closing the main set, 'Faint' returned as the show closer, closing a show in the United States for the first time since Relief Live! 2015! As far as full shows go, this was the first U.S. show to close with 'Faint' since Kansas City, Missouri in January 2011 on the A Thousand Suns World Tour! While the rotations weren't necessarily the most surprising in Brooklyn, lots of special moments and an energetic performance from the band made it the perfect show to kickoff the new leg of the tour! Things will definitely start to get very interesting with these upcoming Boston shows, as the band's two-night stays are where things usually get quite interesting. Despite being the first show, this show was actually the second date added after the first night sold out. With the first set of rotations out of the way, there are still a large handful of songs that could make an appearance over the next few nights. 'Points Of Authority' could come into play in Act I, while the heavy position in Act III could go to any of 'Given Up,' 'Keys To The Kingdom,' or 'IGYEIH!' 'Good Things Go' and 'Stained' are also lined up for some action as far as the rotating ballads go, and we're still eagerly waiting to see 'A Place For My Head' and 'Let You Fade' have their first moments of this new leg of the North American tour. With their last two-show stay in Frankfurt earlier this month, the band also started making some more structural changes like moving songs around in the Acts and even adding an extra rotation spot for 'Over Each Other' and 'Stained' into Act II. Today (July 30) is the 23rd anniversary of Reanimation as well, so maybe we'll see Mike whip out a special verse from the album for his solo medley! He's celebrated other anniversaries this year this way, bringing out verses of 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Until It Breaks' for the Living Things celebration and 'Lift Off' and 'I.O.U.' for the Post Traumatic anniversary. The band will definitely make some interesting setlist choices for these two shows in Boston, and we'll be in the crowd ready to take it all in! And there's always room for a huge surprise in terms of whipping out a song we haven't heard yet - lots of online requests for 'Blackout' and 'With You' this year, and we're still waiting on a live debut of 'Unshatter' to round out the full live From Zero discography! PVRIS is opening the first series of dates on the tour, and their first set of the tour really set the tone for the night! Opening with new tracks 'GOOD ENEMY' and 'ANIMAL,' the vigorous energy of Lynn Gunn immediately took centerstage as they got off to a rocking start. The band then blasted into some older hits like 'Dead Weight' and 'My House,' also throwing in some more new music like 'Burn The Witch' and 'GODDESS' to close their set. PVRIS may just be one of the best (or perhaps most fitting) openers yet on this tour, and their set is nothing short of grand even if it's just an opening set. You won't want to miss their performance in Boston as well, as these will be hometown shows for the band! We're still hoping that Lynn makes a guest appearance during Linkin Park's set, or perhaps they can add 'TAKE MY NIRVANA' to the set and get Mike to guest with them instead! That's be a huge surprise, for sure. Don't miss their show if you can make it! Weatherman Rogue Soul is live on the scene on the East Coast once again, reporting that while today will be just as disgustingly hot and humid as the last few days, a bit of relief is on the way! It'll be a mostly rainy day in Boston, but the temperatures will drop a bit down to the lower 70s during the day and get cooler from there on. Night Two at TD Garden takes place the night after on August 1 before the band heads back down to my home state of New Jersey with their first show ever at the Prudential Center in Newark on August 3. From there, the band will head up to Canada for two nights in Montréal and one show in Toronto. We've got a long tour ahead of us, and we're sure a lot of surprises are in store for us!
