  1. This is it, everyone. The end of the Post Traumatic Tour is here, and it's going out in a big way. Mike, Matt, Dan, and the rest of the crew will hit the stage tonight in Tel Aviv, Israel for the first of two nights at Hangar 11. It's been awhile since Mike was last in Israel. Up until this performance, Mike's only other show in Israel was in 2011, on the brief A Thousand Suns Middle Eastern Tour. That show was at the start of the A Thousand Suns cycle, and featured many new tracks including 'Wretches and Kings' and 'Iridescent.' It's a great show all around, and is well known for its performance of 'The Messenger,' where Chester sang part of Bob Marley's 'No Woman No Cry.' These next two shows will undoubtedly be incredibly special, as well. Mike ended the last European leg of the Post Traumatic Tour in Luxembourg two nights ago, and he certainly ended that tour with a bang! While there were no huge surprises, fans who made it out to the show were treated to plenty of awesome treats: 'Kenji' and 'It's Goin' Down' (with its new chorus) both made an appearance, while staples like 'Prove You Wrong' and 'Nobody Can Save Me' returned. 'Lift Off' featured the chorus of 'Step Up,' the first verse and chorus of 'High Voltage,' and verse two of 'Hands Held High.' Dan also performed his drum solo during the song. The encore opened with the surprising combination of 'Robot Boy' and 'Hold It Together' - a pairing not seen before on the tour. The rig they're using in Israel has different gear and is slightly different - whether or not these setlists in Tel Aviv will be played safe or go absolutely crazy is yet to be seen. Who's going to the show? If you see our Israeli staff member Skipees, let us know! Please! It's been a minute. Tomorrow's show at the same venue will be the official conclusion of the Post Traumatic Tour (according to Mike), and the last show we may have for quite some time. Before the Post Traumatic era ends, however, Mike still has some music videos to deliver: he filmed one in Prague and another after 'Running From My Shadow' in Luxembourg. 2. The Post Traumatic Tour is coming to an end, but not without a few more action packed shows! Mike and co. are hitting the stage in Prague, Czech Republic today at the Forum Karlin for their next stop on their European Tour. Mike has played in Prague several times before. Their first show there was at the end of 2003 on the Meteora European Tour, a rescheduled show from earlier in the year which was cancelled after Chester was hospitalized for severe back pain. Fun fact: during that same year, Linkin Park went to Prague to film the music videos for both 'From The Inside' and 'Numb!' The band returned in 2007 on the first Minutes To Midnight European Tour, playing new tracks like 'Leave Out All The Rest' and 'The Little Things Give You Away.' Mike's most recent performance in Prague was at the Aerodrome Festival in 2017 on the One More Light European Tour. The set featured some of the tour's best moments, like the 'Fallout' and 'Roads Untraveled' mashup intro, as well as the Experience Version of 'Castle Of Glass,' which featured 'A Place For My Head' over the outro. Linkin Park certainly left Prague wanting more, and Mike's back to deliver. Mike's last show was in Munich, and it was a show full of surprises. Opening with 'Introduction' and 'Petrified,' Mike started the set energetically with a handful of hip-hop hard-hitters (also including 'Hold It Together' and 'When They Come For Me'). The set continued mellowy, with numbers like 'Prove You Wrong' and 'Nobody Can Save Me' adding a bit of a bittersweet tone during the middle of the set. The biggest surprise of the night: the tour debut of 'Lift Off!' The song was performed for the 2nd time ever, and for the first time since it debuted at the last show of the Outbreak Tour in Silver Springs, Maryland. This live version featured a completely different structure than last time, featuring the demo verse and parts of 'Step Up' and 'High Voltage.' 'Place To Start' is the only Post Traumatic track that Mike has performed before and hasn't played on the tour yet, now. 'Brooding,' 'Promises I Can't Keep,' 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore,' a full 'Can't Hear You Now,' and 'What The Words Meant' have all yet to be performed, but their chances are looking slimmer by the show. Do you think we'll see any of these songs debuted before the tour concludes? Who's going to the show? LPLive staff member Mark (Hahninator) is there, so be sure to say hey if you see him! The tour is winding up, with only a few shows left in Amsterdam, Ludwigsburg, and Luxembourg before Mike wraps up the whole cycle with two shows in Tel Aviv, Israel. 3. The final tour of the Post Traumatic era is reaching its end, but not without a final few awesome shows! Mike and the gang return to Germany today for their sixth German show of the tour at the Zenith - Die Kulturhalle in Munich. Mike has played in Munich many times before, the first being in 2001 on the Deftones' 'Back To School' Tour - this was Linkin Park's second performance in the country ever! Classics like 'With You' and 'By Myself' added an explosive dynamic to the set. The crowd was so wild, the band returned again for their own headlining show later in the year on the Hybrid Theory European Tour, at the same venue Mike's performing at today. The band returned seven years later, during the summer of 2008 on the final Minutes To Midnight European Tour. This set was part of Projekt Revolution: Europe and was - up until Milton Keynes a few shows later - the biggest Projekt Revolution show ever. And the setlist definitely celebrated the occasion: huge tracks like the ultra-rare 'Reading My Eyes' were performed in their entirety, as well as new versions of familiar tracks: 'Wake 2.0.' Softer ballads like the piano version of 'Pushing Me Away' and 'The Little Things Give You Away' added reprieve from all the action within the set. The band returned to Munich for another Projekt Revolution: Europe show in 2011 on the A Thousand Suns European Tour, bringing new hits like 'Waiting For The End' and 'The Catalyst' and big jams like 'Lying From You' and 'No More Sorrow' out. At the beginning of 'When They Come For Me,' Mike messed up a the sample settings and played piano sounds instead of the normal ones, but ended up making a little remix at the start of the track! Brad did something different on the megaphone than he normal does, too. Mike's most recent visit to Munich was in 2014 on The Hunting Party European Tour, which brought huge tracks like 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Rebellion' to a massive crowd. Last night's show in Zurich was one for the record books, too. The show had surprises from the very start: 'When They Come For Me' opened the show for the first time on this leg of the tour, with a looped extended intro for the first time. A funnier part of the show includes the intro to 'Ghosts,' after the crowd did a "More Cowbell" flashmob. Mike found a cowbell onstage and hit it as the song started up. Mike continued early on with surprises by performing 'High Road,' promising to mess up the spreadsheet we retweeted that day that keeps track of what Mike's playing this tour. That wasn't the only thing that messed with the spreadsheet: 'Kenji' returned in full form, being played for the first time since Los Angeles last year on the Outbreak Tour. 'Nobody Can Save Me' was played once again before 'Sorry For Now,' which had an extended bridge featuring the demo verse of 'Lift Off' and a chorus of 'Step Up.' Mike played a piano version of 'Heavy,' aborted it, and quickly switched to 'Numb.' 'World's On Fire' was added back into the set after not being planned on the written setlist after 'Robot Boy' opened the encore. This is interesting, as an unseen combo of 'Robot Boy' into 'Castle Of Glass' has not been seen yet. There's lots of little details in this set that makes it such a memorable one, plus with big rarities in the mix, you can't complain! Mike remarked about not being ready to play 'Invisible' (likely because they haven't rehearsed it yet at soundcheck), but Dan said he was - so perhaps we can expect it at tonight's show. Who's going to the show? Hahninator will be there - keep an eye out for him and say hi! The tour's winding up, with four show in Europe left before Mike ends things off with two shows in Tel Aviv, Israel. Prague, Amsterdam, Ludwigsburg, and Luxembourg are still up before then. 4. Mike Shinoda is continuing through Europe on the final leg of the Post Traumatic Tour, stopping today in Zurich, Switzerland for a show at Halle 622. Mike has played in Zurich a handful of times before this. The first was in 2007, on Linkin Park's Minutes To Midnight European Tour, featuring fresh cuts from the new album including 'What I've Done' and 'Given Up.' This show had the famous extended bridge to 'Bleed It Out' where Mike and Chester split the crowd and had each side chant "Fuck yo side!" The band returned in 2009 while promoting 'New Divide' on their International Tour that year, before returning in 2010 on the first leg of the A Thousand Suns World Tour. Mike's last performance in Zurich was in 2014, where a show there opened The Hunting Party European Tour. The tour just got wild. The last show in Padova was packed full of surprises that no one expected. The show opened in a big way with 'Welcome' and 'Hold It Together' kicking things off, with more hip-hop tracks like 'Remember The Name' and 'When They Come For Me' following. The first surprise of the night: 'Nobody Can Save Me' returning for the first time since London, officially putting it in rotation. The extended bridge of 'Sorry For Now' featured both the first verse and chorus of 'Dedicated' (making it the first time since 2009 in Macao that the song was performed during a set) as well as a verse of 'Lift Off.' Mike briefly rapped the first verse of 'Can't Hear You Now' acapella style, making it the song's live debut. In response to the crisis going on in New Zealand, Mike performed verse two of 'Hands Held High' before 'In The End.' The encore opened with a triple tour debut: a brief piano version of 'The Catalyst' was performed for the very first time, while 'Wisdom, Justice, and Love' and 'Iridescent' were both performed for the first time since the Outbreak Tour. Quite an action packed show indeed - and a surprising one at that. Anything could be coming, Switzerland. Who's going to the show? The tour is slowly reaching its end, but not before stopping in Munchen, Prague, and Amsterdam over the next few days. LPLive staff member Mark (Hahninator) will be at this show and several of them coming up - if you see him, be sure to say hi! 5. Mike's not done just yet, Italy. The Post Traumatic Tour continues through Europe with its second show in Italy today in Padova, at the Gran Teatro Geox. Yesterday's show in Milan was quite the banger. One of the biggest attractions in the setlist: how many Post Traumatic songs were featured. Mike played every song from the album that's he's played this tour in some form: 'I.O.U.,' 'Crossing A Line,' 'About You,' 'Over Again,' 'World's On Fire,' 'Make It Up As I Go,' 'Hold It Together,' 'Prove You Wrong,' 'Running From My Shadow,' a fan requested 'Watching As I Fall,' and the return of a verse from 'Lift Off,' which was performed over the extended bridge of 'Sorry For Now' (along with a chorus of 'Step Up'). That’s ELEVEN songs from the record - the only song that’s been played live that’s missing is ‘Place To Start.’ It would be great to see the other songs performed, too! Who’s going to the show? We’re reaching the end of the tour, but not before Mike continues with stops in Zurich, Munchen, Prague, and more. 6. The Post Traumatic Tour continues through Europe today, finally heading to Italy for two shows! The gang begins in Milan, Italy today at Fabrique. Mike and company last performed in Italy last year, performing at Milano Rocks at the end of the Post Traumatic European Tour. The show was the first one to feature 'Remember The Name' as the opening song! The band's last show was in Budapest a few days ago. The setlist was generally tame in terms of what Mike's been doing over the course of the tour, but we did have several surprises: rarities like 'Watching As I Fall,' 'Until It Breaks,' and the full piano version of 'Heavy' were all performed. Who's going to the show? Whatever's played is anyone's guess - tour debuts? 'One More Light,' 'Battle Symphony,' and 'Nobody Can Save Me' got their tour debuts to a massive reaction from the fanbase, but haven't been seen since London. Will they return? Will we see other songs performed? Let us know what you want to see. The band continues through Italy with another show in Padova tomorrow, before continuing to Zurich, Munchen, and Prague. LPLive Staff member Mark (Hahninator) will be going to some of the upcoming shows in Europe, so stay tuned - maybe you'll see him at the shows! 7. Show #7 of the Post traumatic Tour takes Mike and company to the historic Roundhouse in London, England today. This will be Mike’s first headlining performance in England, after performing at last year’s Reading and Leeds festivals. Mike also performed his last Fort Minor solo show there in 2015. Mike performed at the Roundhouse venue in 2011, during Linkin Park’s famous iTunes Festival performance, where their piano cover of Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ was performed. Who’s going to the show? ‘High Road’ is officially back in regular rotation after yesterday’s show in Paris, as well as ‘Watching As I Fall.’ Fans plan on requesting ‘Step Up’ today at the show - perhaps we’ll see it performed in some capacity tonight! 8. The Post Traumatic Tour continues in just about one hour in Paris, France! Mike and the rest of the crew will be hitting the stage at Le Zénith. Mike hasn’t performed in Paris yet, but this will be the second time he’ll have played in France as a solo act. Back in the summer, Mike’s very first European show took place at the Rock en Seine festival, which featured a great setlist featuring ‘Kenji.’ Who’s going to the show? The tour continues through Europe over the next few weeks, with shows in London, Budapest, and Milan coming up.
  9. The Post Traumatic Tour's final leg is under way, and it's fourth stop is taking Mike Shinoda and company to Oberhausen, Germany at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Mike and the crew have kicked the tour off with a five show run in Germany, and Oberhausen is the fourth stop. Mike performed in Hannover yesterday, bringing quite a show. Opening with 'Welcome,' Mike started things off with a nice alternative run of 'Make It Up As I Go' and 'Castle Of Glass' following it. The show came with some nice surprises: 'Prove You Wrong' returned after debuting in Bremen the show before, this time during the main set after 'Roads Untraveled.' After Dan Mayo's drum solo in 'Sorry For Now,' Mike threw in a verse for the first time on tour: this time, it was verse one of 'Hands Held High' - the first time he's used the song over the bridge (and the first time since since San Fransisco, California where 'Hands Held High' showed up in a setlist - verse two was mashed up with 'Wisdom, Justice, and Love' at this one). The show closed with a surprise 'A Place For My Head' performance, with Don Broco onstage helping with the heavier parts. An awesome show from start to finish - as usual! Mike hasn't played a show in Oberhausen in a few years. The only time he's played there was in 2014, during The Hunting Party European Tour. This show was filmed as a test, as the band planned on filming their show in Berlin a few days later in 4K for a live release. This show featured many songs fresh off of The Hunting Party, including 'Guilty All The Same,' 'Final Masquerade,' and 'Rebellion.' Austin Carlile, formerly of Of Mice & Men, joined the band for 'Faint' as well. A pretty solid show all around, but Oberhausen is definitely ready for more. At this point, we should be ready for anything. Mike noticed the crowd reaction when he responded to a fan in Hannover who shouted for 'No Roads Left' - maybe if enough people start pushing for it, the song will finally be performed live! A handful of Post Traumatic songs have yet to make a debut, too: 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore,' 'Brooding,' 'Promises I Can't Keep,' and 'Can't Hear You Now' (plus, 'What The Words Meant' and 'Waiting For Tomorrow' still have yet to be seen). 'Place To Start,' 'Watching As I Fall,' 'World's On Fire,' and 'Lift Off' have all yet to make an appearance, too. As far as other songs from previous tours goes, 'Kenji,' 'Invisible,' 'Cigarettes,' 'Sharp Edges,' 'High Road,' and 'Iridescent' haven't made an appearance yet, either. Will we see anymore debuts this tour? Will old songs return, or will Mike bring some new ones to the table, too? Who's going to the show? Mike has one more show in Germany (in Hamburg) before heading out into the rest of Europe, with shows coming up in Paris, France, London, England, and Budapest, Hungary. The music video for 'I.O.U.' dropped recently, featuring footage from the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour last year. The music video for the new Chester Bennington collaboration with Mark Morton, 'Cross Off,' recently dropped, too! 10. Round three, Germany. Mike Shinoda and company's third stop on the final leg of the Post Traumatic Tour in Europe is taking them to Hannover, Germany at the Swiss Life Hall. It's been quite some time since Mike last played in Hannover. The first and only time he's ever played there was with Linkin Park in 2008, on the Minutes To Midnight Winter European Tour - which makes it over eleven years since Mike last performed in the city. It was the very first show of the year for the band, and they brought 2008 to one hell of a start. A brand new set dubbed Set T made its debut at this show, featuring the debut of the classic AMBO Intro for 'What I've Done' to open the show. The set featured many new Minutes To Midnight tracks like 'Given Up' and 'Shadow Of The Day,' but also featuring the classics like 'Faint' and 'Lying From You.' A few songs got their live debut at this show: namely 'Valentine's Day,' a Minutes To Midnight deep cut. Mike's short cover of The Cure's 'Just Like Heaven' (dubbed 'Show Me' on DSPs) was also played for the first time. A few songs saw a triumphant return, too: 'A Place For My Head' kicked off the second encore, being performed for the first time since 2004. And right after came 'One Step Closer,' debuting its classic extended outro for the first time while also closing a show for the first time since 2004. An action packed show for the record books! Mike's last show in Bremen may have been just as eventful. The show kicked off with hip-hop flair with a huge run of 'Petrified,' 'Until It Breaks,' 'Hold It Together,' 'When They Come For Me,' and 'In Stereo.' The main set ended a bit short with only 15 songs... but Mike came back and delivered with a massive eight song encore. And not just any eight songs. Mike brought out 'It's Goin' Down' by request, as well as 'Prove You Wrong,' giving it its live debut, rehearsed once (earlier in the day at soundcheck) and unplanned. This show saw the tour debuts of 'Until It Breaks,' 'Hold It Together,' and 'It's Goin' Down.' 'Watching As I Fall' was performed at soundcheck as well, but was not performed in Bremen. Maybe we'll see it in Hannover? As far as what we'll see in Hannover - it's anyone's guess! We've seen 'Welcome' and 'Petrified' open a show, leaving three other opening songs to choose from: 'When They Come For Me,' 'Robot Boy' and 'World's On Fire,' and 'Remember The Name.' Any of those 5 are fair game, as well as any other new openers Mike could throw at us out of the blue. 'A Place For My Head' wasn't played in Bremen, despite Don Broco opening the show. Maybe we'll see it return in Hannover? Plenty of songs from the past tour have yet to make an appearance: 'Invisible,' 'High Road,' 'World's On Fire,' 'Place To Start,' 'Watching As I Fall,' 'Lift Off'... There's plenty of good stuff yet to come - and I'm sure surprises down the way, as well. What songs do you want to see in Hannover? Don Broco will be opening the show (and the rest of the shows in Germany), and they hardly need any introduction at this point. If you're looking for a bunch of good lookin' English dudes to jam out and have fun with for half an hour before Mike Shinoda comes on, you're in the right place. Their set opened with 'Everybody' before continuing into more energetic tracks: 'Automatic' and 'Pretty.' The set also included their hits like 'Come Out To LA' and 'You Wanna Know,' ultimately closing with 'The T-Shirt Song' - the Don Broco fanbase's version of 'A Place For My Head.' Speaking of 'A Place For My Head,' Don Broco performed the song with Mike at the end of the Outbreak Tour to close the shows... since the song is already in the set, perhaps we'll see them back onstage to deliver the filth. We'll have to wait and see! But make sure you catch these guys live before Mike - you won't regret it. Who's going to the show? Mike has two more shows in Germany on this beginning run in Oberhausen and Hamburg before heading out in Europe with shows in Paris, France and London, England to follow. Mike will return to Germany again later in the tour, with stops in Munich and Ludwigsburg. The music video for 'I.O.U.' dropped today - be sure to check it out. If you saw Mike on tour in the United States last year, see if you can spot yourself! 12. We're back, baby! And so am I! Mike, Dan, and Matt are back in action for a short string of holiday-themed shows over this weekend! The first of those is tomorrow: ALT 92.3's Not So Silent Night in Brooklyn, New York! Forget about Linkin Park's history - Mike's history in New York alone over the last year has been wild - and we've been there to witness pretty much all of it! Mike first came to New York a few nights after Post Traumatic had been released, performing a release show at the Gramercy Theater. The setlist featured all the important songs at the time - 'Running From My Shadow' and 'Ghosts' were still fresh. Unforgettable moments include Mike opening the encore with the unplanned live debut of 'I.O.U.,' a rare acapella of 'Hands Held High,' and Mark, Sanjay, Preston, my dad and I booking it to Madison Square Garden to see Thirty Seconds To Mars right afterwards. Ride or die. The next day, he performed at an Apple Store in Brooklyn, performing three songs: 'Crossing A Line,' 'Running From My Shadow,' and 'Castle Of Glass.' Mark was also at that show! Mike returned to New York City on the Outbreak Tour at the beautiful Pier 17 venue. The night featured huge surprisesL namely the live debut of 'World's On Fire,' a mashup of 'Wisdom, Justice, and Love' and 'Hands Held High,' and the first ever appearance of 'Lift Off' in a live set (over the extended bridge of 'Sorry For Now')! 'Robot Boy' was also performed for the very first time on tour as a prelude to 'World's On Fire.' A fan - David from Spain - got to come up and sing 'Papercut' and 'Good Goodbye/Bleed It Out' with Mike as well! It was an unforgettable night - that's confirmed news, because I was there. Watch Mike perform 'World's On Fire' for the very first time live in New York City, New York - shot by yours truly. Mike's performing third on a packed lineup, so he won't be playing for long - he's slotted for half an hour (from 7:41pm EST to 8:11pm EST, specifically). We probably shouldn't expect too much as far as surprises go - BUT Mike has done crazier things. The intro song is still anyone's guess, but we can probably expect setlist staples like 'About You,' 'Make It Up As I Go,' and 'In The End.' The good news is - this show will be in an arena as opposed to a theater, so it'll be interesting to hear how the music sounds different! There will be plenty of other acts to enjoy - CHVRCHES (a personal favorite of mine) plays just before him, with Bastille afterwards. Muse (another favorite of mine) closes out after Florence + The Machine. Who's going? Mark and I will both be at the show! Keep an eye out on our social media for meet up details - we're thinking some time between Muse and Mike - probably around Florence + The Machine's set. Come say hi if you can! After this show, Mike heads back to California for two more holiday shows: Alt 103.5's Not So Silent Night in San Jose and the classic KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas (which will be livestreamed!) in Inglewood. After that, Mike has a few months off before returning with another extensive European Tour in March! We'll be keeping you updated on everything that happens at this show, so be be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world (a couple members from the Discord will be at this show - be sure to say hi)! We just launched the new LPLive Archive YouTube Channel that is loaded with hours of rare content from the Linkin Park world, and we'll also be uploading videos from the Post Traumatic Tour there, too. Be sure to subscribe! Check out the rest of Mike Shinoda's touring schedule here.
  13. The Post Traumatic Tour is wrapping up, but not without hitting the east coast again! Mike's playing in Boston, Massachusetts tonight, November 14, 2018. Mike's last show was in Cincinnati, Ohio, and we actually didn't quite know what the actual setlist was until earlier today! Shoutout to Kacie from the Discord who helped us figure it out. Mike added in 'World's On Fire' to the end of the set... but we didn't know where. You kept tweeting us wrong answers. None of you remembered what order it was in. So after 3 completely different mysteries being discovered about where it was, we finally had a Discord member who went check her video and find out! The song was in the encore, after 'Crossing A Line' opened the encore for the first time. A rare 'Watching As I Fall' was also played! Mike's full of surprises even at the end of the tour. Mike's no stranger to Boston. Linkin Park first played there in 2000, opening the WBCN X-Mas Rave. The band returned again the next year for another event: a NEMO Music Showcase. We don't have a definite setlist for this one, but tracks like 'With You' and 'Crawling' were being played. Flash forward a few years and album cycles and he returned to the city in 2011 during the A Thousand Suns World Tour. This show featured plenty of amazing tracks like 'The Catalyst' and 'Iridescent'! Watch the first 7 songs from Linkin Park's Boston show in 2011! As for this setlist: who knows. We gave up guessing. Place your bets down below - rarities only! If you win you get a shoutout in the next pre-show post. DMBAlmanac style baby. You CAN go risky and gues 'Lift Off,' which was reportedly soundchecked in Chicago and mashed up with another song. Will it be played before the end of the tour? Who's going to the show? Geki might be there. Watch out! After this show, there's only two shows left - Detroit, Michigan (where both Nick (SasstielExperience) and AlyKayes will be) and Silver Springs, Maryland (which I am seriously considering going to). 14. I also just wanna say later in the same livestream he called me a lovely guy (and remembered me from Philly). Matt's a stand up guy.
  15. The Post Traumatic Tour has been rolling through the United States over the last few weeks, but before that Mike had traveled throughout Europe and Asia to start the tour. Mike stopped in Moscow, Russia during this time, and some tracks from that show are being officially released! Mike's very first official live release, Mike Shinoda Soundcheck Sessions: Live In Moscow is out everywhere on November 15, 2018. View the trailer. Make It Up As I Go (Live In Moscow) Crossing A Line (Live In Moscow) Roads Untraveled (Live In Moscow) In The End (Live In Moscow) Numb (Live In Moscow) The Live EP also comes with live videos of Mike performing the songs. This is the first official release since Post Traumatic dropped in June - and it seems to be part of a series (given the Soundcheck Sessions tag). Hopefully we see more of these little releases in the coming months. 16. People apparently weren't allowed to film Lift Off. I spoke to someone who was there to confirm it but they didn't remember what song Mike rapped over it.
  17. We're on the final stretch of the Outbreak Tour, but Mike and the crew aren't cashing it in. The tour continues east tonight with a show in Chicago, Illinois! Mike's last show was in Denver, Colorado, and was proof enough that he still has plenty of surprises up his sleeve. The biggest surprise of the night: TWO tour debuts! 'High Road' was performed for the first time since Europe (it was supposed to be performed on the first night of the tour in Montreal, but was replaced by 'Kenji'), while 'Invisible' was performed for the very first time on the tour after several soundchecks! The song seems to be in rotation with 'Sorry For Now,' as Dan performed his normal drum solo over the next extended bridge of 'Invisible.' That's not where the surprises ended, though: 'Remember The Name' opened the show for the first time since Milano Rocks, making it the first time the song has opened a full show on this tour. Finally, 'It's Goin' Down' was added into the set last-minute after 'Make It Up As I Go.' Denver had one of the most unique setlists of the tour, and we're almost at the end! Watch Mike and the band perform 'Invisible' for the first time on tour in Denver, Colorado. The song was last performed in 2017, on the last show of Linkin Park's One More Light European Tour in Birmingham, England. You can tell how much more confident Mike is with his voice now compared to then (plus, that little run from 3:03 is everything)! It's been a minute since Mike was last in Chicago. Linkin Park last performed there in 2011 on the A Thousand Suns North American Tour, where they held the 3rd LPU Summit. Fans were treated to a soundcheck of 'Burning In The Skies' and several run throughs of 'Blackout,' only the latter of which was played at the actual show. Prior to that, Linkin Park hasn't played too many times in Chicago (their normal Illinois venue is in Tinley Park). Their very first show there was in 2001 on their first headlining tour: the Street Soldiers Tour. They returned the next year, playing Chicago towards the start of Projekt Revolution 2002, where members of Cypress Hill and Adema came out for 'One Step Closer.' The band performed in Chicago once again at the start of the Meteora World Tour on the LP Underground Tour, performing several fresh songs from the album like 'Lying From You' and 'Faint.' The set even included rare performances of 'Easier To Run' and 'Hit The Floor!' The band returned again later that year on Metallica's 'Summer Sanitarium' Tour, which was the first tour that featured 'Numb' and 'Figure.09' live. Illinois doesn't disappoint, and tonight should be no different. We thought it was getting a little easier to predict the sets now that the tour was ending... but we were wrong. Just in the last show we got a relatively new opening song and two tour debuts. There's nothing left from soundchecks for Mike to whip out in Chicago (that we know of), but 'Can't Hear You Now' and 'Waiting For Tomorrow' are the two songs he said he wants to play at some point on the tour. Will tonight be the night? There's a whole slew of openers and encore openers now, plus the body of the set rotates around every night. Who's knows what's going to go down! We're running polls on our social media as to what YOU guys think Mike will play at every show to try and make it a bit more interactive - 56% of you who voted for Denver guessed 'Invisible,' and look what happened! Maybe we'll have to try and figure out some prizes before the next leg of the tour. Check our socials out tonight before the show and place your vote! Watch Linkin Park soundcheck 'Burning In The Skies' at the 3rd LPU Summit in Chicago, Illinois in 2011! While Mike and the band soundcheck at every show, Linkin Park rarely did their own soundchecks (most of the time, it was the crew doing them). Who's going? LPLive staff member SasstielExperience (Nick) will be there, so if you see him, be sure to say hi! There's only four more shows left before the tour ends: Cincinnati, Boston, Detroit (both Nick AND AlyKaye will be there!), and Silver Springs. Plus, Mike has a few holiday shows lined up in December in New York and California. We'll be keeping you updated on everything that happens at this show, so be be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world (a couple members from the Discord will be at this show - be sure to say hi)! 18. The Outbreak Tour is on its final stretch, but not without some awesome final shows. Mike and the band are heading back east today for a show in Denver, Colorado! Mike's last show was in Salt Lake City, Utah, and it certainly brought a lot of energy. Kicking off with a combo of 'Welcome,' 'Make It Up As I Go,' and 'Castle Of Glass,' the set had already begun on a high. 'In Stereo' was featured mid-set before 'Sorry For Now,' where Dan performed a drum solo. During the piano medley part of the set, Mike gave a little boy a choice between a few songs, and he ultimately chose 'Heavy.' The encore was very hip-hop heavy, featuring 'Petrified,' 'I.O.U.,' and 'Remember The Name' in succession. Perhaps it seems normal on the surface, but these Post Traumatic shows have been anything but - Salt Lake City really brought it. Watch Mike open his set last night in Salt Lake City with 'Welcome!' Mike is no stranger to Denver. His very first performance there was with Linkin Park in 2000, when they were opening for the Kottonmouth Kings' 'Ridin High' Tour. The band returned twice more in 2001: once on the Ozzfest, which was the first confirmed show of the tour that featured 'With You' as the opener, and again on the Family Values Tour, where Aaron Lewis from Staind sang on 'One Step Closer.' Linkin Park returned in 2003 while touring for Meteora, performing on Metallica's 'Summer Sanitarium' Tour. This was the second known time that Chester joined the Deftones during their set to perform 'My Own Summer (Shove It)!' The band performed in Greenwood Village to close out Projekt Revolution 2007 on the Minutes To Midnight cycle. The band returned again in 2008 on Projekt Revolution 2008, performing 'No More Sorrow' and 'Bleed It Out' with the Street Drum Corps. A strict curfew by the venue led to the band switching up their encores, too. Linkin Park returned again in 2011 on the A Thousand Suns North American Tour, playing new tracks like 'Burning In The Skies' and 'The Catalyst.' On the Living Things cycle, Linkin Park performed in Englewood on the Honda Civic Tour in 2012, featuring awesome performances of 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)' and 'In My Remains' from the new album. This was also the first time that Incubus guitarist Mike Einzinger came out to perform with the band during 'Bleed It Out,' right after the band covered the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage.' Mike's last performance in the Denver area was on the Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars in 2014, featuring fresh tracks from The Hunting Party including 'Rebellion' and 'Final Masquerade.' Colorado is a place where Mike and the band has loved to play shows in the past, and that won't change tonight! Watch Linkin Park perform 'The Catalyst' in Denver, Colorado in 2011. Tonight's going to be another night of surprises for sure... what exactly those might be is anyone's guess. Rarities 'Watching As I Fall' and 'Place To Start' returned at the last two shows in California, the latter of which was performed for the first time in 32 shows (the last being in Chengdu, China). 'Watching As I Fall' has also sporadically appeared throughout the North American Tour. Both songs seem to be back in rotation (albeit, still as rarities), so perhaps we'll see them again! Now that we're at the end of the tour, it's unlikely we'll see any live debuts ('Can't Hear You Now' and 'Waiting For Tomorrow' being the biggest contenders on that front), but tour debuts may still be possible: 'Invisible' was soundchecked a few shows ago and still has yet to make an appearance. 'Cigarettes,' 'It's Goin' Down,' 'High Road,' and 'Sharp Edges' are other rarer tracks that also have potential. Will we see any of these performed? Well, we'll have to wait and find out. We're going to be trying something new for these last few shows over on our social media: holding polls to see what YOU guys think Mike will play. It's a fun little game, so we figured we'd try it out, especially with how unpredictable Mike's sets are. Last night, none of our poll options made it into the set (damn you, Mike!), so we'll throw in a safer option today. Be sure to check vote on our social media! Who's going to the show? As mentioned before, the Outbreak Tour is finally hitting its end: Mike has shows in Chicago, Cincinnati, Boston, Detroit, and Silver Springs before the tour wraps up. LPLive staff member SasstielExperience will be in Chicago and Detroit, and AlyKaye will be in Detroit as well, so be sure to say hi if you see them! We'll be keeping you updated on everything that happens at this show, so be be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world (a couple members from the Discord will be at this show - be sure to say hi)! 19. It's official! 1 billion. That is absolutely insane.
  20. I have the one I used when I played with him, I'll get a picture of it later
  21. Mike did a full verse of whatever it was they were playing. Had no idea what it was, wasn't anything I've heard before.
  22. The Outbreak Tour is reaching it's final run of shows, but Mike's not slowing down. The tour continues tonight in Anaheim, California at the House Of Blues - Mike's third out of four shows in the state. Mike and the band last performed at the Dia De Los Deftones festival in San Diego, and some interesting stuff happened despite it being a shortened set. Unfortunately, there was no sign of 'Lift Off' during the set, but the set was still packed with action. 'Petrified' returned as the introduction (including 'Introduction'), with 'When They Come For Me' and 'Make It Up As I Go' following. 'Remember The Name' was mid-set instead of towards the end. This show was the first to not close with 'Running From My Shadow' since the song made its debut - it was written on the set, but it seems Mike ran out of time, which prompted them to close with the 'Good Goodbye' and 'Bleed It Out' mashup for the first time. Even with the shorter sets, Mike is full of surprises! Watch Mike perform 'In The End' at the Dia De Los Deftones festival. Even at shows where Mike isn't the headliner, the entire crowd can't help but support him with these shows! As usual, it's going to be hard to predict what comes tonight. We're still waiting on 'Invisible,' 'Waiting For Tomorrow,' and 'High Road' to be performed. Mike also said earlier on the tour that he'd like to play 'Can't Hear You Now' at some point on the tour - hopefully soon! There are a whole bunch of tracks that could open, and now even the closing song isn't certain (though 'Running From My Shadow' will likely remain as the main closer). All we can do is wait and see at this point! Is anyone going to tonight's show? Mike has one more show in California - San Francisco - before he starts heading back east for shows in Utah, Colorado, and Illinois. Mike will be back in the state before the end of the year, though - just today, he was announced for the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas lineup! We'll be keeping you updated on everything that happens at this show, so be be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world (a couple members from the Discord will be at this show - be sure to say hi)! 23. We're gonna jam tonight! Mike and the band are performing at the very first Dia De Los Deftones festival today in San Diego, California with the Deftones, Future, and more! Mike returned to California last night with a hometown show in Los Angeles, making a comeback in a big way. Opening with 'Welcome' and 'Ghosts,' the set quickly took off from there with some high energy hip-hop tracks like 'When They Come For Me' and 'I.O.U.' It didn't take long for surprises to start kicking in, with the first verse and chorus of 'High Voltage' being rapped over the extended bridge of 'Sorry For Now' after Dan's drum solo. 'Kenji' returned to the setlist as well, last being played in Atlanta, Georgia a few weeks back. A piano version of 'Numb' was performed after 'In The End' before the main set closed with the killer run of 'About You,' 'Over Again,' and 'Papercut.' The encore kept things going with a dramatic opening of 'Wisdom, Justice, and Love' and 'Iridescent,' with Mike adding in 'It's Goin' Down' after 'Remember The Name' in response to the mock setlist tweet that made its rounds yesterday. To wrap it all up, grandson joined Mike for 'Running From My Shadow!' Things always stay fresh with Mike! Watch the last half of Mike's encore in Los Angeles, California last night, featuring 'It's Goin' Down' and grandson on 'Running From My Shadow!' Mike has been playing shows in San Diego with Linkin Park since the band's start. The first known performance there was in 2000, just after the release of Hybrid Theory while on the Kottonmouth Kings' 'Ridin' High' Tour. The band returned early the next year on their very first headlining tour, the Street Soldiers Tour, where Taproot's Stephen Richards came onstage for 'A Place For My Head.' A rowdy crowd on Projekt Revolution 2002 caused the band to have to stop and restart 'Runaway' a whole three times, which is the most the band has ever aborted a song and restarted it ever. Linkin Park returned to San Diego on the Meteora North American Tour in 2004, performing songs like 'Nobody's Listening' and 'Lying From You.' While not making it to the city on the Minutes To Midnight Tour, Linkin Park finally returned on the A Thousand Suns North American Tour in 2011, performing new songs like 'The Catalyst' and 'Burning In The Skies.' The band's most recent performance in San Diego was on The Hunting Party Tour, where they performed at the mtvU Fandom Awards, delivering awesome performances of songs like 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Wastelands.' Tonight's show may be shorter than usual, but there's still a lot of potential for some interesting things. Most importantly is the potential for 'Lift Off' to be performed today. The song features the Deftones' Chino Moreno, who will obviously be there. The song was rumored to have been soundchecked a few days ago in Las Vegas, so it's not too far-fetched to think that the song might be performed today. Mike has been rapping what appears to be a demo verse of the song over 'Sorry For Now' throughout the tour, so he definitely has it in mind. We'll have to wait and see - but there's no more perfect time than now! The soundcheck from today didn't include 'Lift Off' (it was 'Welcome,' 'Sorry For Now,' 'Hold It Together,' and 'I.O.U.'), but we'll keep our fingers crossed. Don't underestimate the 45 minute set, either: the last one he performed at the Buzzfest in Woodlands, Texas featured grandson on 'Running From My Shadow' and a surprise 'It's Goin' Down,' so anything is still possible. Watch this epic performance of 'Guilty All The Same' from the mtvU Fandom Awards in San Diego, California in 2014. This show took place at the same park Mike is performing at today! Who's going to the show? Mike still has a couple of stops in California (in Anaheim and San Francisco) before he starts heading back east for shows in Utah, Colorado, and Illinois. We'll be keeping you updated on everything that happens at this show, so be be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world (a couple members from the Discord will be at this show - be sure to say hi)!
