  1. bro... how is the one thing you are positive towards on this site the shitty cashgrab remix album
  2. The winner of the art contest for the upcoming single 'Open Door' has been announced! The winner is an artist named Guytown, from France. Check out his winning submission: Be sure to check out his artwork on his Instagram page, linked above! With the cover art now ready to go, Mike's next single could be right around the corner!
  3. I actually laughed out loud during the first verse. This is the cheesiest one yet! I don't hate it. Though I wish I could only listen to the bridge and NOT the rest of the song from this point forward
  4. I will never forget these texts "HOLY FUCK A NEW SONG??" "Wait nevermind I think this is what Darker Than Blood is"
  5. Just so everyone's aware... this isn't an April Fool's joke! I thought the same when I saw the news LOL
  6. Been awhile since I tackled one of these... here's a LP return set. 1. The Requiem 2. Wretches and Kings 3. When They Come For Me 4. Numb (Instrumental) 5. Nobody Can Save Me 6. Sorry For Now (Ext. Bridge w/ Drum Solo and/or Verse) OR Invisible (Ext. Bridge w/ Drum Solo and/or Verse) 7. Until It Breaks (Through Chester's Verse, Transition Into...) 8. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ Until It Breaks, Sing-a-long Outro) 9. Castle Of Glass (Experience Version) 10. Waiting For Tomorrow OR A Light That Never Comes 11. Roads Untraveled 12. The Catalyst 13. Watching As I Fall OR Make It Up As I Go 14. Rebellion 15. Papercut (Full Song; MS Tour Version w/ Vocoder) 16. In The End (Crowd Version) ------------------------------- 17. Cure For The Itch (2021? Remix Version) 18. One Step Closer / Lying From You / Crawling / QWERTY (Instrumental Medley) 19. Lead Single 20. Running From My Shadow 21. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge w/ A Place For My Head, Ext. Ending w/ The Messenger) For some of the heavier or challenging-to-sing songs like Faint or WFTE, I'd imagine Mike would sing it in any way he feels most comfortable and rely on the crowd to help him out like in ITE on the Post Traumatic Tour. Knowing LP I'm sure there'll be some creative ways of doing the heavier stuff through medleys or jams (I kinda just slammed a bunch of them together, for the encore, I'm sure if they just jammed the riffs and choruses it'd be a big hit, through in a little QWERTY riff for flair, and it'll be a done deal).
  7. All it takes to bring the nu-metal heads out from the shadows is one Steve Aoki song...
  8. The boys in Linkin Park certainly know how to tide us over during these trying times in quarantine. Today, we have even more new music coming out! Steve Aoki will share a new song called 'Last One To Know' today at 2:00pm PST featuring both Mike Shinoda and Lights! The song will feature on Aoki's new album, Neon Future IV. The song will be released on April 3. This will be Mike's third collaboration with Aoki, the first being 2013's 'A Light That Never Comes' from RECHARGED, and 2015's 'Darker Than Blood,' which featured on Aoki's album, Neon Future II. Aoki has been pretty deeply connected to the band since 2013, even creating a mashup ('Darker Than The Light That Never Bleeds') and remixing 'One More Light' in honor of Chester. Who's excited for the new song? We'll update this post with the song once it is releasedd.
  9. Crazy how time flies... I remember back when it felt like time would never move again, but here we are. Happy birthday Chester! Hope you're rocking out with the rest of us today.
  10. Mike's been busy creating some new demos in his home studio, sharing progress along the way on Instagram live streams, and today he's shared even more! Mike has uploaded the stems to 'Open Door,' as well as the instrumental, in addition to the 'CoronaVirus Jam' demo he worked on yesterday and this morning. Additionally, you can watch the today's livestream where the song was created on our channel, as well. The 'Open Door' stems (and the rest of these tracks) can be downloaded from this link - are you going to try and give mixing or remixing the song a go? Share your progress with us!
  11. I mean given how long he's been in the game and how short these clips are (and seemingly pretty much a couple of loops on repeat) I wouldn't doubt he could have done these mixes in like 10 minutes
  12. much love my brother. it’s all in the past, I know I’ve wronged ya too. Here’s to a new age!
  13. I’ve kinda stayed out of this one because I wasn’t really sure what to think about it and, if I’m entirely honest, I didn’t really care much about this project. But at this point it’s pretty clear and evident what the case is and I cannot believe how much of a shitshow this is. Not only does the music production kinda suck, every aspect of this project has turned to rot. I believe this project started with the intention of honoring Chester in the right way, but ultimately it’s become something that leaves a stain on his legacy. There’s so much to look at, from stealing photos to blocking fans on Twitter. Get over yourselves. The LP feature thing is absolutely ridiculous. Are they taking us for morons? If you’re trying to get people on a project meant the memorialize the work you’ve made with a brother, why go to artists who a) meant nothing more to Chester than “I like some of their songs” and b) who are looking for a chance to redeem themselves for the acid they spewed in the past. I don’t think I’ll ever listen to this album. I simply don’t care and don’t want to give them my attention or care for any amount of time anymore.
  14. Yeah, some shows (especially in Asia) are harder to cover than others, especially factoring in time zones and such. We're still figuring it out but here's what we believe the set is so far: 1. Introduction 2. Petrified xx. In Stereo xx. Castle of Glass xx. World's On Fire xx. Iridescent xx. WFTE/WYG xx. In The End xx. Numb xx. About You xx. Over Again xx. Papercut xx. It's Goin' Down/Step Up xx. Good Goodbye/Bleed It Out xx. Running From My Shadow
  15. After a long, incredible year and a half journey, the Post Traumatic Tour comes to an end. Mike performs his final show of the tour in at the Wired Music Festival in Nagoya, Japan. Mike's last show in Manila featured what was perhaps the best setlist we've ever seen. Mike made it a challenge to include every album in his set. And he went above and beyond - not only including the main albums, but the remix albums, too. 'Keys To The Kingdom' made its live debut when Mike rapped the second verse of it over the extended bridge of 'Sorry For Now,' after he rapped verse one of 'Second To None' for the first time in twelve years. Verse 2 of 'Enth E Nd' was performed during 'In The End,' making it the first time since 2006 that the song had been performed. 'Numb/Encore' was featured as an intro to 'Numb,' striking the mark for Collision Course - Mike really went all out! 'Lift Off' featured 'High Voltage' and Mike's verse from the 'Skin To Bone' remix from Recharged, making it the first time since 2015 that the verse appeared. Things didn't let up in the encore, as Mike debuted a mashup of 'It's Goin' Down' and 'Step Up.' Now THAT'S a crazy show. Check out this pretty complete recording of the Manila show! As this show will be a festival set, we can expect it to be played pretty safe. Singles from Post Traumatic and classic live staples are sure to show up, and it'll be a little shorter set than usual. Mike plays a 75 minute set after King Gnu and is followed by headliner Wiz Khalifa. Is anyone going to the show? As this is the final Post Traumatic Tour show (for now), we don't know what comes next! But we'll catch ya back here when we do. The animated music video for 'World's On Fire' was just released, so be sure to check it out! Be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for the latest news on Mike and Linkin Park.
  16. From the comments: "Sorry the clips are not in order. I ran out of storage during the concert. switching back and fort to 2 storage. lol i cannot recall the order tbh. didn't bother to check the setlist too" so I'll just assume Mike actually went by the setlist order. As for WJL at Jakarta, I'll add it to the show page.
  17. The Post Traumatic Tour is almost over, but not without a couple more shows! The last headlining show of the tour is taking place today, September 6, at the New Frontier Theater in Manila, Philippines. Mike's last show in Jakarta was nothing short of huge. With a whopping SIX tour debuts ('In Stereo,' 'Hold It Together,' 'Iridescent,' 'Lift Off,' 'Heavy,' and 'It's Goin' Down'), Mike proved that he has a lot up his sleeve left for the rest of the tour. On top of all the tour debuts, many set staples continued to rock the house: 'Castle Of Glass,' 'When They Come For Me,' 'Watching As I Fall,' and 'A Place For My Head' with Don Broco all returned for another show. 'Lift Off' featured verse one of 'Step Up' for the first time, making it the first time since London, England earlier this year that 'Step Up' has appeared in a set (being performed over the bridge of 'Sorry For Now'). 'Iridescent' also made a very rare appearance, being only the third time this year that it was played! There are surely a lot of surprises yet to be seen for this last headlining show, so let's see what happens! Watch a rare performance of 'Iridescent' from Mike's set in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 4, 2019. It's been awhile since Mike was last in the Philippines. The last time was in 2013, on the final leg of the Living Things World Tour. Linkin Park played a show in Pasay, bringing an epic set featuring a HUGE opening of 'A Place For My Head,' 'Papercut,' and 'Given Up.' This show was the first to feature 'Lying From You' in its full, original form in an encore. Typhoon Haiyan devastated the country a few months after the band performed there, leading to the guest-filled MFR Concert For The Philippines at the start of 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Linkin Park's first show in the Philippines was in 2004, on the Meteora World Tour. The set featured plenty of Meteora classics, such as 'From The Inside,' 'Don't Stay,' plus many Meteora-era live staples, such as the band's cover of Nine Inch Nails' 'Wish' and the 2004 Hip-Hop Medley featuring 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down' (funny enough, part of all three of those songs have been played on this short Asia Tour!). Watch this special fan-made compilation of Linkin Park's show in Pasay, Philippines in 2013. What can we expect from the set? Who knows! It's the final headlining show of the final leg of the Post Traumatic Tour (according to Mike). So, things could get crazy. It's unlikely we'll see a full live debut (though 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore,' 'Brooding,' 'Promises I Can't Keep,' and 'Can't Hear You Now' haven't been performed yet...) but the tour debuts could be aplenty. We've yet to see plenty of Post Traumatic Tour staples, like 'Kenji,' 'Cigarettes,' 'Invisible,' 'Nobody Can Save Me,' and 'Prove Me Wrong.' Those are only a few examples - Mike has plenty more songs to pull from! Anything's fair game for this last show (since we can expect the festival performance in Japan to be relatively safe), so: bring it on, Shinoda. Who's going to the show? After this one, Mike has one final show to play on the Post Traumatic Tour in Nagoya, Japan at the Wired Music Festival on September 8. The animated music video for 'World's On Fire' was just released, so be sure to check it out! Be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for the latest news on Mike and Linkin Park. Check out the rest of Mike's 2019 touring schedule here.
  18. After a few more month's work, the music video for 'World's On Fire' is finally here! Mike shared the following message about the video on social media: "I’ve never taken an animated project from beginning to end. This video, for ‘World’s On Fire,’ seemed to arrive in my head w/ a full story, setting, & characters all at once, & I couldn’t ignore it. Please enjoy it, & don’t forget to share it with friends" Mike originally announced the animated music video for 'World's On Fire' at the start of July, when a short preview of it was shown at the Crunchyroll Industry Panel for Anime Expo. Mike has ventured into animated media before ('Breaking The Habit,' for example), but this is the largest project of the sort he's undertaken in awhile! What do you think of the video? There's only one song on Post Traumatic (barring the bonus tracks) left to get a music video: 'Hold It Together.' We'll keep you updated on when that video is on its way. Mike's Post Traumatic Asia Tour continues tomorrow in Manilla, Philippines. Be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for the latest news on Mike and Linkin Park.
  19. The end of the Post Traumatic Tour is barrelling through with the second of four shows, the next being Mike's big return to Indonesia with a show in Jakarta at the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran! Mike and the boys kicked off the tour in a big way in Taipei, Taiwan a few days ago, delivering a pretty safe but nonetheless powerful set. Mike and the band are sounding better than ever after a few months rest! 'Petrified' brought the show to an electrifying start, with 'Make It Up As I Go' and 'When They Come For Me' following suit. The set featured many Post Traumatic Tour staples, with Post Traumatic tracks like 'Ghosts' and 'World's On Fire' as well as many Linkin Park classics, such as 'Roads Untraveled' and even a piano version of 'Numb.' Like any Mike Shinoda set, however, there were plenty of surprises to be had. The first surprise came during the extended bridge of 'Sorry For Now,' where, after Dan's drum solo, Mike rapped verse one of the Meteora deep cut 'Nobody's Listening' - making it the second time Mike has performed the verse on tour (the first being earlier this year in Ludwigsburg, Germany) and the first time since Zurich, Switzerland that Mike rapped a verse over the bridge of the song. The next surprise was more so in the form of new information: before 'Castle Of Glass,' Mike revealed that the song was worked on pretty extensively as a demo during the A Thousand Suns sessions, but was held onto because the track didn't quite fit the album. He even gave LPLive a mention! 'Watching As I Fall' made a special appearance after being played on and off throughout the whole tour, and 'World's On Fire' was performed without 'Robot Boy' preceding it for the first time since the very end of the Outbreak Tour in Silver Springs, Maryland. One of the best moments of the show came in the form of a special appearance from Don Broco - the opening band on this leg of the tour and many prior legs before - during the LP favorite 'A Place For My Head,' closing the main set. Even if we didn't see any live debuts or tour debuts, Mike definitely treated fans in Taiwan to a great set! Check out this awesome performance of 'Sorry For Now' from Taipei, featuring a drum solo from Dan Mayo and a rare 'Nobody's Listening' verse! It's been about 8 years since Mike was last in Indonesia - towards the end of the A Thousand Suns tour in 2011. The set featured many ATS goodies such as 'The Requiem,' 'Iridescent,' and 'Blackout,' while also featuring plenty of classic LP tracks like 'Given Up' and 'Shadow Of The Day.' Prior to that, the band had only visited Indonesia once before: in 2004, on the Meteora World Tour. This show saw the band take a stand, as many artists were cancelling there shows in Indonesia at the time due to warnings from the United States government. Linkin Park continued to Indonesia, though, as at the time, the country stood as the band's biggest market in Asia. To ensure the safety of the fans leaving the show, the band started their show at 4:00pm. Watch Linkin Park perform 'Numb' live in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2011! Most of the time, the first show of the tour is pretty safe - which means the training wheels might be coming off in Jakarta. While it is a fairly short tour, Mike Shinoda is a very unpredictable man. Considering it's the end of the Post Traumatic Tour, this may be the last chance for these Post Traumatic songs to get their live debut: 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore,' 'Brooding,' 'Promises I Can't Keep,' 'Can't Hear You Now,' and 'What The Worlds Meant' have all yet to make a proper debut. Other Post Traumatic songs, like 'Hold It Together,' 'I.O.U.,' and 'Lift Off' are also on the table (maybe even a very rare performance of 'Place To Start' is a possibility). There are endless Fort Minor and Linkin Park goodies that could be added to the sets, as well: 'Cigarettes,' 'Kenji,' 'Invisible,' and 'Nobody Can Save Me' are just a few of the options. Maybe we'll even finally see 'No Roads Left' appear in some format. Only time will tell! In the mean time, feel free to comment what songs you want to see Mike play in these last few shows! Who's going to the show? After this show, Mike has two more to go before wrapping up the Post Traumatic Tour for good - one headlining show in the Philippines and a festival appearance in Japan. In other news, Mike will be releasing the music video for 'World's On Fire' on September 5 - between this show and the next - so stay tuned for the premiere of the animated video! Be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for the latest news on Mike and Linkin Park. Check out the rest of Mike's 2019 touring schedule here.
  20. First night of the tour is always pretty safe. Still a pretty solid show all around - WAIF, APFMH w/ DB, and a Nobody's Listening verse.
  21. Miss us? Miss the Post Traumatic Tour? Well, you're in luck - cause everyone's back for a few more shows! Mike Shinoda is kicking off the second Asian leg (and, allegedly, the final leg) of the Post Traumatic Tour in Taipei, Taiwan at the ATT Show Box on August 31, 2019. This leg of the Post Traumatic Tour is hitting a few Asian countries that Mike missed on the first Asian leg, which was the first full leg of the Post Traumatic Tour (we've really come full circle, huh?). The first on the list is Taiwan. The last time Mike was in Taiwan was in 2013, on the Living Things Asian Tour. This show featured one of the band's most hailed setlists - the Living Things Tour Set B. Opening with a massive 'A Place For My Head,' the band quickly launched into a high energy set with 'Papercut' and 'Given Up' following. Of course, many Living Things tracks were being played at the time: a full 'Lost In The Echo' featuring the extended intro that used the synth from the demo 'Holding Company,' a rare studio version of 'Castle Of Glass,' and even a mash-up of 'Victimized' and 'QWERTY.' Prior to the Living Things Tour, Linkin Park had visited Taipei three times. The first was on the Minutes To Midnight Tour in 2007, featuring a huge set with Minutes To Midnight bangers like 'No More Sorrow' and 'The Little Things Give You Away.' Fun fact: the night before the show, Linkin Park went into a studio in Taiwan to record their parts for their Busta Rhymes collaboration, 'We Made It.' After a cancelled performance there in 2008 (due to Chester sustaining a back injury), the band returned in 2009 for a make-up show while touring for 'New Divide.' They performed at the 2009 Summer Rock Fest, bringing a pretty special set with them. Opening with a rare 'Session,' the band continued with huge tracks, which came complete with many fan-favorite extensions, such as the AMBO Intro to 'What I've Done' and the extended intro and outro of 'Points Of Authority,' which featured a verse of 'Dedicated' (for the first time ever) and 'A Place For My Head,' respectively. The band returned two years later, in 2011 on the A Thousand Suns World Tour. This show featured a song ATS-era set, with big tracks like 'The Catalyst' and 'Blackout' making it an unforgettable performance. The intro of 'One Step Closer' was slightly extended at this show due to the band messing it up. In addition to performing there several times with Linkin Park, Mike performed with Fort Minor in Taipei, as well, opening for 50 Cent. The most notable moment from this show was the live debut of 'Cigarettes,' Mike rapping the first verse a cappella style for the crowd. The song received its full live debut years later, when Mike began performing the iconic 2015 Version during the Fort Minor comeback. Perhaps that's one of the song's we'll see performed for this show - from live debut to the new remix. Only in Taiwan. Speaking of the sets, we all know how it works these days. And that is to say, we have literally no idea what Mike's going to play. Drummer Dan Mayo and multi-instrumentalist Matt Harris are returning to perform these last couple of shows with Mike, and we're glad to see them back! Matt was seen rehearsing 'Nobody Can Save Me' on his Instagram story, so it's definitely likely we see that song performed sometime on the tour. The end of the Post Traumatic Tour left us with a multitude of potential opening songs, as well as a wild amount of rotations in the meat of the set. There are more opening songs than there are shows on this tour, which may potentially lead to some fun sets every night: the options are 'Welcome,' 'Petrified,' 'World's On Fire' (with 'Robot Boy' preceding it), 'Remember The Name,' and 'When They Come For Me.' Expect to hear plenty of Post Traumatic songs in the mix as well - and perhaps be on the look out for some live debuts! A few tracks have yet to be performed live from the album: 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore,' 'Brooding,' 'Promises I Can't Keep,' 'Can't Hear You Now' (in full), and 'What The Words Meant' are all still due for a live debut. This tour may be the last chance for them to see a debut - and with how special these few shows are going to be, it's certainly not out of the question. There are countless other songs we'll probably hear at some point on the tour, as well: 'Sorry For Now,' 'Roads Untraveled,' 'In Stereo,' and 'Kenji' are just some of the awesome tracks Mike played throughout the tour. What songs do you want to hear on this tour? Opening for Mike at all the headlining dates are a band we're all familiar with at this point: Don Broco. The English boys are back to open for Mike yet again after playing with him throughout the United States and Europe. Linkin Park fans have grown to love them since they began performing with Mike - and it's no mystery why. The guys put on an eclectic show, with loads of energy and a certain sense of gratitude to make it a perfect show. Fans can expect to hear songs like 'Come Out To LA,' 'Everybody,' and 'T-Shirt Song,' and perhaps even hear some of the band's newer tracks, like single 'Half Man Half God.' Don Broco also has a history of joining Mike onstage for a particular jam. You might have heard of it. It's called 'A Place For My Head.' There's a GREAT chance we see Mike perform 'A Place For My Head' with Don Broco on this tour at least once, so if you're going to one of these shows, get ready to explode. Who's going to the show? As always, we'll be providing live coverage of the shows on our social media, so be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for the latest news. After Taipei, Mike continues into Asia with three more shows: he'll be stopping in Jakarta and Manila before wrapping things up with a festival performance at the Wired Music Festival in Nagoya, Japan. It'll be a nice change of pace to have shows to cover again while we all await what's next for either Mike OR Linkin Park. Only time will tell, but for right now, we're ready to jam. Check out the rest of Mike's 2019 touring schedule here.
  22. After a pretty long radio silence about upcoming music videos, Mike has announced that the next video will be for ‘World’s On Fire,’ and it will be animated, too! The music video will premiere this Saturday, July 6 at the Crunchyroll Industry Panel for Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California. For those who can’t be there, the event is being livestreamed here - the music video will play around 2:30 PST on Saturday. EDIT: Mike confirms the video will be released on September 5th! Mike shared the following sketch from the music video on his social media. Who’s excited for the next music video? Back at the start of the Post Traumatic cycle, Mike said he’d release a music video for every single song. With ‘World’s On Fire’ joining the fray, that leaves ‘Hold It Together’ as the only song without a music video yet (not including bonus tracks ‘Prove You Wrong‘ and ‘What The Words Meant‘). Mike filmed at least one music video on this year’s European Tour back in March, so perhaps we’ll see the video for ‘Hold It Together’ sooner rather than later. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page for the latest news, and follow our Instagram for loads of awesome Linkin Park content. While the rest of the summer currently seems to be quiet, Mike will resume the Post Traumatic Tour in September with another round of dates in Asia.
  23. Both the Meteora and the Hybrid Theory Instrumentals came from Promo CDs. No one hears them because they're really not for the public to hear - they're mostly sent to radio stations and what not for promotional use.
  24. One of the first three songs I ever truly liked. My aunt would play it in the car when I was 7 (she'd always play LP when I was a kid, but WID is the first song I remembered by name), and the rest is history I guess. A timeless classic, for sure.
