Are you serious? I don't even think I should argue this lmao I didn't realize Mike recording vocals for a song and maybe guitar automatically means it's theirs. My bad.
-
We can't jump to conclusions yet about how the album sounds from this. It's not even their song. This is Blackbear's music, and I don't really think we know or care about any of his music changing a la early-THP to final-THP. During the recording of THP and that cycle we got ALTNC and Darker Than Blood. Just because the band is collaborating with electronic/pop artists like this doesn't indicate that's the way they're going. And tey've said already they're not collaborating in a musical sense, but as writers.

Yeah, Chester sings the "I am"s in the verses and Mike usually backs the "I won't be ignored" in the choruses. You probably saw footage of them doing that and mistook it for them switching

Lol, this is exactly what I thought when I saw it I think we can count this as official, I'm pretty sure we've known Sleepwalking as a demo title for awhile now - didn't it leak on the picture of the whiteboard we saw?

Linkin Park news may be slow, but maybe you will have the chance to ask them what's up. Music For Relief has started a contest that you can enter in to meet the band and get a chance to interview them! To enter the campaign, head to this page on Propeller and complete one of the actions to gain points to get a chance to win this opportunity. Each point constitutes one additional entry. Actions include subscribing to the MFR Newsletter, donating to the organization (five points for every dollar!), watching videos, buying Linkin Park merchandise, and more. Winning the contest will win you a variety of things: Propeller will fly you and a friend to Los Angeles (with hotel fees covered for two nights at a pretty high-profile hotel - the Sunset Marquee at the Sunset Strip) where you'll be able to go to Linkin Park HQ and meet the band members and see what's going on over there. The band will take you to some of their favorite spots around town - including the shooting location of Fort Minor's 'Welcome' - too. After it's all over, you'll be going over the Facebook Live to interview the band about their Power The World campaign - and don't worry, you'll have millions of people feeding you questions. The campaign ends on September 29, so you have plenty of time to enter! The contest is limited to people the age of 18 and above, but is applicable worldwide. Even if you don't win, you're donating to charity, so it's a win-win situation here. Who's going to enter? Follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page for more Linkin Park news.

Can a man not play a show with friends/idols without being criticized about his personal views? If you're going to let someone's political or religious views (barring extremist views - I feel that's a reasonable justification) dictate whether or not you listen to music, I don't think music is the right thing for you. I get Trump is crazy, but given this election Hillary's not a shining star either. Don't make assumptions. Chester said he didn't support Trump awhile ago, and as we have no evidence or sources saying his mind has changed in 8 months, let's give the man that much. Interested to see what songs he performed!

Its just sarcasm, unless ProTools crashed with all of the progress they made (it should autosave, and they, being artists, should save their progress likes its second nature anyway) I doubt that would be enough to set the album back that far. It's annoying and time consuming to restart the profram, yeah, but it's nit gonna set them back half a year.

It's becoming increasingly less strange for Linkin Park to be involved in something political. The band, alongside Trent Reznor, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, and more are signing their names to a petition in support of reforming the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) was signed in 1998 by Bill Clinton, looking to update copyright laws with the digital age. Since it's signing, lots has come into play that have rendered the act outdated. Services like YouTube and Spotify - ways creators can get their content to consumers in efficient and convenient ways - have made the system, in the words of the petition, "broken and no longer [working] for creators." It also states that "It has allowed major tech companies to grow and generate huge profits by creating ease of use for consumers to carry almost every recorded song in history in their pocket via a smartphone, while songwriters’ and artists’ earnings continue to diminish... The growth and support of technology companies should not be at the expense of artists and songwriters.” The petition came about at the dawn of the new year, when the Copyright Office announced it's plans to reevaluate the DMCA, stating that "While Congress understood that it would be essential to address online infringement as the Internet continued to grow, it may have been difficult to anticipate the online world as we now know it, where each day users upload hundreds of millions of photos, videos and other items, and service providers receive over a million notices of alleged infringement." What are your thoughts on it? It's not exactly a Linkin Park-centric subject, but rather, an open discussion for music lovers and creators. Over 160 artists have now signed the petition, and more expected to follow. Linkin Park are major artists on most services, YouTube and Spotify included. This is more of a discussion topic than anything else. Tell us your thoughts! Linkin Park's next album is coming along, with another studio update expected soon. Awesome interview, cool to see how things like this come together. Hopefully we see Chester do more collabs like this!

The fourth bi-monthly track for the LPUnderground 15 package is here, and this time it's a 1999 Demo entitled 'GRR'. The track is one of the shortest released Linkin Park songs to date, clocking in at an impressive 27 seconds. The song itself if pretty simple, composing of a beat, effected piano, and some minor background synths on repeat for a few seconds. We've heard the song before, and quite recently, too. It's first use was back in 2003, in the LPTV episode "The Art Of Meteora". Mark Fiore strikes again! It was most recently used in the recent time-lapse clip of the band in the studio, posted in April on the band's Instagram and Facebook pages. LPU Members can go to the LPU Shop after logging in to download the song for free. The song can be heard at the 3:13 second mark in this 2003 episode of LPTV. Linkin Park's next studio release is shaping up, and as more info comes in, things are starting to get a bit exciting. You have to question how many of those views are attracted from people clicking links from social media, though. I find it hard to believe we'd get 3000+ views on any news post without posting a link for it on social media, maybe 1000 if we're lucky.

There was absolutely nothing of worth on Snapchat. All that Mike said wad that they'd probably stream on FB later, and that they were going to record a bridge that was really high

I think we're starting to find a pattern here

LPU15 9th Track - WIZARD SONG (2002 Demo) [APRIL FOOLS]
RogueSoul replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
Was Dave Sbeat worth ever hearing, though? I'd love to hear Wizard Song, but I highly doubt there's much more than what was shown in the Making Of Meteora clip. -
I'm guessing this is what happened after the event... http://loudwire.com/puddle-of-mudd-wes-scantlin-standoff-30-police-officers/

lol, that must've been interesting...

I feel like Kansas City would be the start of the tour. These two shows look like a deal where it's like "Hey, we're in the area, might as well play a show or two here and here." Go up to Canada for a show after Washington since West Coast Canada didn't get a show, then go home and play a show then a week off. Look at it like the two Canada shows in 2008 before Projekt Revolution -> they're right at the beginning of Projekt Revolution but weren't really part of the tour, and it was two weeks after Europe. It's like "we're not hitting Canada on this summer tour, let's not miss this market."

IT'S A MIRACLE! -
One last time. Chester will be joining Stone Temple Pilots on March 26, 2016 for the last time for a one-time reunion show for the From Classic To Rock event at the Norris Theater in Rolling Hills Estates, California. This is Chester's first performance in 2016, and the first show post of the year! On a less happy note, however, this is also Stone Temple Pilot's first (and possibly only) performance after the passing of Scott Weiland in December. Chester had a good run with Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015. His debut with the band was during their surprise performance in May 2013, at the KROQ Weenie Roast, where they performed an unannounced set before Thirty Seconds To Mars. 'Out Of Time' saw it's worldwide debut there, as the song was released after the show had happened. The band then embarked on their first tour together in the fall of that year, after Linkin Park wrapped up the LIVING THINGS World Tour in Asia. That tour saw the Chester Debuts of many fan favorites, such as 'Sex & Violence', 'Pop's Love Suicide', and the live debut of 'Church On Tuesday'. After debuting another High Rise EP track live, 'Black Heart', near the end of the tour in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, the band stayed quiet for about a year, playing a few shows here and there throughout the rest of 2013 (including a series of holiday radio shows) and 2014. 'Black Heart' didn't last in the setlists long, but it was a huge one live! The band didn't have another full tour until Spring 2015. A major International Tour was planned at the beginning of 2014, hitting stops like India (a first for Chester), Hawaii, Indonesia, and Australia for the Soundwave festival, but the band were forced to cancel due to scheduling conflicts with Linkin Park's recording sessions for The Hunting Party. The band played a few scattered shows in 2014, including a short four-show tour in the Fall before Linkin Park's The Hunting Party European Tour, where they debuted 'Plush', 'Sin', and 'Heaven & Hot Rods' with Chester. The Spring 2015 U.S. Tour was huge, a bunch of new songs being performed with Chester for the first time: 'Lounge Fly', 'Coma', and 'Creep'. The live debuts of the huge jam 'Pruno' and 'Adhesive' also came during this tour. And who can forget Chester's epic pink hair?! Chester's final tour with the band happened in the Fall after Linkin Park wrapped up The Hunting Party European Tour over the summer. Nothing new was debuted, but Chester was still at the top of his game. Funny enough, the band's last show of the tour was the Aftershock Festival in Elverta, California, which coincidentally also happened to be Scott Weiland's last show in the band, when they performed there in 2012. The band performed a different, stripped-down version of 'Plush' when performed live. Chester always went down into the crowd for it! We're not sure what to expect from the band's performance at this show, but we'll keep you updated. Be sure to follow @LPLive and @LiveSTP on Twitter for updates. What do you think they'll play? A song dedicated to Scott Weiland would be an awesome moment. Will this truly be the band's last performance with Chester? They're currently on the hunt for a new vocalist, asking fans to send in auditions. It seems the decision hasn't been made... but hopefully it comes soon! A few LPLive members seem to have sent in auditions (looking at you, Broman). Maybe we'll get an answer soon. We'll keep you updated. Linkin Park is currently in the studio recording the follow up to The Hunting Party and it's expected to be released later this year. Follow us on Twitter, like our Facebook page, follow us on Instagram, and register on the forums for the latest updates on the band's recording process. SETLIST: xx. Big Empty (Soundcheck) ----------------------------- 01. 02. 03. 04. 05. Notes: - The entire band barring Chester came out during Gary Wright's set and backed him up for three songs.
