Join Phoenix in the LPU VyRT Chatroom on Monday, September 28 at 4:00PM PST for an exclusive LPU Chat! LPU Members can access the chat by going to their dashboard and entering the password given to you there and entering it on VyRT. Tune in at the time of the event (here's a countdown to the event, just to make sure you don't miss it!) and ask Phoenix your questions! The last LPU Chat held was with Joe, backstage at the band's show in Minsk, Belarus in August. VyRT allows for any member of the band to pop in the chat from anywhere they please, on anything they choose - Phoenix improvised at the cancelled Rocklahoma show earlier this year and held a VyRT chat (through text only) from the airport, amidst a huge storm! The band started using VyRT on the Carnivores Tour (makes sense, as it's Jared Leto's company and all), with the band's and Thirty Seconds To Mars' set at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on September 15, 2014 (just a year ago) being broadcast live. Stone Temple Pilots are currently on tour, and Chester is having a blast! And, also narrowly escaping more cancellations due to more injuries. Some things never change. Linkin Park has one show left of the year - November 1, in Tempe, Arizona for the Monster Mash. There's also rumors of a Hybrid Theory 15 Year Anniversary club show in October... maybe news will be out by the time Phoenix's chat happens! Remember to prepare your questions and get ready for the chat! Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2015 touring schedule here.

Mike opened the encore with a new mashup of There They Go and A Place For My Head. -
This is it, Europe. The final tour of Linkin Park's The Hunting Party Tour ended in Rome on September 6 (I got it right, SwagChode!), and now Fort Minor's final European show of Mike's short tour is here, as well. The fourth and final Fort Minor performance in Europe this year is happening at the Scala, in London, England on September 8, 2015. Despite being the first show in England since the big comeback, this will be Fort Minor's fourth appearance in England. The first show was Fort Minor's fourth ever performance, when they opened for The Roots at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London in 2005. All of the tracks they played back then were still fresh, including 'Remember The Name' and 'Petrified'. Fort Minor then wrapped up their European leg at the Reading festival, where they performed the same setlist - no laughing matter, still packed with some rarities: 'Mr. Brown' by Styles Of Beyond, 'Dolla' from the We Major Mixtape, and even the Fort Minor Medley, which consisted of 'You Lose' and 'Megadef' by Styles Of Beyond and 'Respect 4 Grandma'. Fort Minor was actually supposed to perform twice at Reading, but had to cancel the second appearance so that they could perform that day in West Palm Beach in Florida for the Rolling Stone VMA Pre-show Party! They returned once more a few months later, following the release of The Rising Tied. This time, the show happened at the Mean Fiddler in London - a headlining show this time! More songs, as well as an encore break, were added to the set, including 'Red To Black', 'Believe Me', and 'In Stereo'. The shortened version of 'Numb/Encore' also debuted at this show! It's been almost a decade since the last performance in London, and it'll surely be just as monumental! Check out this old school performance of 'Remember The Name', where it was the opening song at the Mean Fiddler show in London. (props to whoever can tell me where a screenshot from this video can be found on the forums ) Let's come back to the present - post-'Welcome'. It's only the fifth show Mike's played since he released the song, but he's already changing things up! The show contains many, many treats for not only Fort Minor fans, but Linkin Park fans, too! Mashups of 'Waiting For The End' and 'Hands Held High', remix-ception 'Castle Of Glass' and 'Kenji', and 'Believe Me' with 'When They Come For Me' are all in there, as well as new remixes of songs like 'Cigarettes' and 'Believe Me'. Recently, Mike polled fans on what song they'd like to see added to the setlist. The fans voted, and now a new mashup of 'Suicide Music' and 'High Voltage' has made it into the setlist. It's likely that we'll see the same set in London that we saw in Berlin a few days ago, but Mike's always got something up his sleeve! Here's the new remix/mashup of 'High Voltage' - it's pretty fuckin' awesome! What do you think of it? Mike's spending some time in London before the show, and it seems there's something in the works. In a new interview with NME, it appears that Mike is doing some writing sessions in London, for a "secret project". It seems like a new collaboration is in the works with an unnamed artist. Maybe new music will be coming sooner than we think! Mike's already begun working on music for the follow up to The Hunting Party - we got an inside look of a writing session that spawned 'Welcome' back in March in a new LPTV. Mike said that they're aiming for a new album in 2016, and the gears have already begun rolling! Who's going to the show? A couple of LPL members are going - LINKINMARK, Kirstie, and our staff member Wilderness, to name a few. Maybe some of you could get together and jam! This show concludes touring in Europe for the year, but Linkin Park has one last show to play this year: at the beginning of November, they'll be playing the Monster Mash in Tempe, Arizona. There's rumors that they'll be doing a club show/tour in honor of the 15th anniversary of Hybrid Theory, so we'll see if anything comes out of that. Chester will be doing some work with Stone Temple Pilots this month, with a good amount of tour dates across the U.S. The group is expected to release their first album with Chester some time this Fall, too! Encore: • A Place For My Head (By request) • Waiting For The End • What I've Done • Bleed It Out -
Well, this is it. The final tour of The Hunting Party Tour is finally coming to an end. The tour will end on its tenth show in Italy, where the band will perform at Rock in Roma in Rome on September (I got it right this time!) 6, 2015. This will be the second show in Italy on the touring cycle, and the band's first performance in Roma. The band visited Milan last year, on the first tour of the cycle (ironic, huh?). At the time, the setlist was still fresh and raring to go. Basically, it was before we got bored of it! 'Guilty All The Same', 'Wastelands', and 'Until It's Gone' were still fresh and raring to go. Mike rapped a verse of 'When They Come For Me' over his solo medley. An awesome live video of 'Until It's Gone' was taped at this show, and the Italians responded with a flashmob - they threw glowsticks in the air as the band performed. The live video is compiled of fan videos and has some great angles (and a solid mix, too!) Check it out below. The band's last show was performed in Düsseldorf, Germany. Both Fort Minor and Linkin Park performed at the event! Fort Minor performed a short set, with Mike saving 'Welcome' and 'Remember The Name' for the Linkin Park set. This made more room for some fan-pleasers, namely the new remix of 'High Voltage', the awesome remix of 'Cigarettes', the album (albeit, shortened) version of 'Until It's Breaks', and more! Linkin Park's set went off as expected - the same general setlist, with Joe's Solo dropped due to him leaving the tour due to a family emergency back home. We wish him the best, and hope everything's alright! His tech, Warren, is filling in for him at the moment. It's unlikely Joe will return for this show, so don't count on hearing his solo. 'High Voltage' videos have been overdone the past few posts, so here's the band performing 'Rebellion' at Rock im Sektor! Who's heading to the show? If you are, RSVP in this thread and meetup with some LPL members - looks like there are a couple planning on going! Linkin Park has one final date announced for this year, where they will be playing in Tempe, Arizona on November 1 at the Monster Mash festival. But keep your eyes peeled - there are rumors going around that the band will be performing some Hybrid Theory club shows in October. Fort Minor plays a gig in London on the 8th, which will officially put an end to band activity in Europe for the year. Don't miss out! While you're at it, sign our LP DSP petition, as we're trying to appeal to Warner Bros. Records to get the band's DSP program going again! For those who don't know, for the better part of 2007 to 2012, the band released recordings of their live shows available for purchase for more or less every show (with some exceptions). This is our chance to get the program rolling again so that fans can get the chance to experience their favorite memories from the shows they attended all over again, and even hopefully get some rarer older recordings as well! We post great pictures of the band on our Instagram, too, so be sure to follow us there. Lastly, for updates on the show, check back here or follow us on Twitter. Yeah, like you jk I don't really think the whole concept of saying "fuck" is the whole problem here, the prechorus of one of the most beloved songs here is "Try to catch up, motherfucker!" It's just how I used it that made it seem pretty arrogant and insulting. -

Exactly. Dat hashtag though Admittedly it's kinda lame Mike saved Welcome and RTN for the LP set, though it's what was to be expected. It's like "I'll play my projects most popular songs in a different set later." -

Apologies for going a bit wild, tried something different. Will not happen again. Writing them at 4 AM probably makes my brain a little whack, sorry if I offended anyone. I love you all -
Linkin Park! and... Fort Minor? It's the first-ever double preshow post! Let's do this right, we're not gonna play kid games tonight! Linkin Park and Fort Minor will both be performing at the first ever Rock im Sektor in Düsseldorf, Germany on August 5, 2015. This will be the second-to-last show on the final leg of The Hunting Party Tour, and the third show of Fort Minor's mini-European Tour. This will be Linkin Park's second show in Düsseldorf, and Fort Minor's first. It will also be the first time since 2006 where Linkin Park and Fort Minor will be performing at the same event! Starting off with Linkin Park, the last time they visited Düsseldorf was in 2008 - 7 years ago! The show took place near the end of the band's second European Tour of the year, known dearly to fans for having rad setlists. Namely, in Set X, which had the old-school Xero song 'Reading My Eyes'. Unfortunately, Düsseldorf did not get the Xero treatment, but that didn't stop it from being a massive show. Mike brought out some Fort Minor vibes during the extended portions of 'Points Of Authority' - 'Petrified' was rapped over the extended intro, and 'There They Go' over the extended outro! The tour featured the introduction of a new version of 'Wake', entitled 'Wake 2.0'. This show was part of the European iteration of Projekt Revolution, being the second of three shows in Europe to be Projekt Revolution shows. 'A Place For My Head' and the studio version of 'Pushing Me Away' were also present in the setlist. Fort Minor is back. I'm not talking about 'Welcome' - no, Mike has brought the project back full force with its live shows. After playing the setlist TWICE (Los Angeles and Copenhagen), Mike started a poll for fans to vote on what songs they wanted to hear. The five options were 'Right Now', 'Red To Black', 'Second To None', 'Step Up', and 'High Voltage' (see our rundown of all five tracks here, even though the poll is now obsolete). Naturally, fans vote for the unforgettable sound. That's right, HIGH VOLTAGE is back! After sparse appearances for over a decade, the song is back and brand-spankin' new. Equipped with a new remix featuring 'Suicide Music' by the Get Busy Committee (from The Raid: OST, produced by Mike) and 'C.R.E.A.M' by the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Not only that, the song has a new outro entitled the Funky Rebel Outro. Anyway, the Fort Minor set in Berlin went off without error - you can't really go wrong with a setlist that brings back 'High Voltage'. But it contained all of the fan's favorites - mashups of 'Waiting For The End' and 'Hands Held High', 'Believe Me' and 'When They Come For Me', and 'Castle Of Glass' and 'Kenji', as well as brand new - KILLER - remixes of 'Cigarettes' and 'Believe Me', and even a new extended intro to 'Until It Breaks'! Lots more to cover, but so little time (and only so many characters I can make boldface like this). Finally, a 'High Voltage' video that ISN'T the 2001 one! For Linkin Park's portion of this show, there's a possibility for a few surprises. But there are a few questions that linger. One big question that came up after the band's last show in Berlin is Joe. He had to miss the show in Berlin so that he could fly back to the U.S. due to a family emergency. We wish him all the best, but the question still remains - will he be back to end the tour? With it ending in less than 48 hours, it doesn't seem too likely. It's the first time Joe has missed a show in the band's history! His tech, Warren, filled in for him, but this caused the dropping of the Joe Solo Medley. There was no replacement for it at the Berlin show, but if Joe isn't back to finish off the tour, perhaps they'll think of something to add more length to the set. Another question that pops up is the Fort Minor portion of the Linkin Park set. At the meet & greet in Minsk a few shows back, Mike confirmed that he won't be playing 'Remember The Name' and 'Welcome' twice at this show. This leaves the question - what will he do? At the time, he said he was still thinking of how he'll handle the situation. Fort Minor will only be performing for about half an hour - not a whole lot of time to do a lot of songs. Maybe he'll save the two songs for the Linkin Park set and play all of the fan favorites like 'Cigarettes' and 'High Voltage' in the Fort Minor portion of the day. If Mike decides to change things up during Linkin Park's set, there's a lot of options. That's a whole five minutes to fill. Enough time for 'A Place For My Head'? 'No More Sorrow'? 'A Light That Never Comes'? 'Somewhere I Belong'? . The aforementioned show in Berlin was interesting, too. The major surprise was the intro of 'Bleed It Out', where Mike rapped the first verse of the Fort Minor song 'There They Go' making it the first time the song has appeared in a setlist since 2009! Mike actually rapped 'There They Go' over 'Bleed It Out' once before, during the extended bridge of the song at West Valley City, Utah in 2008. Hopefully this will stay consistent for the rest of the tour - it definitely adds a bit of a punch to the end of the set! Maybe Mike will even change up the verse and experiment a little. We'll have to wait and see! Skip to 3:41 to watch the 'There They Go' verse over 'Bleed It Out'. Or wait, and watch a great performance of 'What I've Done' beforehand! Will anyone be heading to the show? Be sure to RSVP, maybe meet up with a few LPLive members and jam at the show! After Rock im Sektor, Linkin Park ends the tour in Rome, Italy at Rock in Roma. Fort Minor has one last performance in Europe in London, England, two days after Rome - don't miss it! For updates on all things Linkin Park, keep up with us on social media! Not to mention that before he played High Voltage he talked about FM shows being NOT for the casual fans.
