  1. Chester said in a recent LPU Chat that they probably won't play it again
  2. I was going to ask this (I'll probably just copy and paste this to Reddit): For this touring cycle, you've had some very complex and all-inclusive setlists. While they are very good at piecing together every element of Linkin Park's career, there's a problem with it: it's too tightly-knit. It doesn't really allow for any on-the-spot variability. It can only change as the set is printed to change each night. Look at bands like Muse or Thirty Seconds To Mars, who have general structures for their setlists with rotating parts that can be determined on the spot on a nightly basis. Each song in the latest Linkin Park setlists are dependent on the previous (or the following) song to keep an established flow consistent through the set. The set goes from a highly energetic beginning to a slow middle that almost kills all of the energy in a sense, before becoming a mid-tempo session filled with singles. I guess I have two questions in regards to this: 1) Are there songs you feel obligated to be playing? For example, the setlist is very Hybrid Theory heavy, instead of featuring a plethora of new songs from the latest album. Is this because you feel the crowd will react more to earlier songs like "Points Of Authoity" and "Runaway" instead of new cuts like "Keys To The Kingdom" or "Mark The Graves"? Or that the singles have more of a live presence than songs like "Until It's Gone" or "Guilty All The Same"? 2) What was the motif behind the latest setlists, when the band was in the process of making them? Did you go into it expecting to make a setlist that was so complex and tight? Like I mentioned before, bands like Muse and 30STM have general structured setlists that can vary from night-to-night. Have you ever thought of going that route?
  3. REMINDER: Tomorrow's the day! Prepare your questions
  4. *sigh*
  5. So I got one today, despite cancelling my order for it... I tried to figure out where it is on the wall but I couldn't find it :\ I'll try and post a picture of it soon, maybe you guys can figure it out.
  6. Found his source. Post it next time instead of trying to look like you didn't just Shazam the entire set from the video lol. EDIT: Thanks for not putting it in order, either
  7. Wow, great job. What's your source?
  8. ...because it's not Jay-Z? It's Sixx John.
  9. That one note changed everything we knew about ITE as we know it.
  10. Mike will be hosting an AMA on Reddit on Wednesday, August 12 (next week), answering questions from fans. "AMA" stands for "Ask Me Anything", hosted on Reddit. During AMAs, notable people in any given subject (whether it be science, music, art, etc.) users can ask the host anything (as long as they are held relevant) and will receive an answer. This will be in a similar fashion to the LPU Chats, except that this is more discussion based and will lack video. Prepare your questions, it all goes down on August 12 at 10am PST (convert to your timezone here)! Keep up with the countdown to the event here. The last tour on The Hunting Party Tour is approaching, with the band performing a few more dates in Europe at the end of August and the beginning of September. Fort Minor will be making appearances in Copenhagen, Berlin, and Düsseldorf, as well. For updates, check back on the forums or follow us on Twitter.
  11. Haha, it was lucky timing on my end. First thing I saw when I got on
  12. It'll be in the LPUTV section soon.
  13. Mike appeared on the LPU VyRT Chat on July 31 to answer some of your questions. Here's a quick recap of some of his answers, in case you missed it. - No plans for a Fort Minor tour (yet). - Shoutout from Mike to LPL for our China coverage! Thanks Mike! - Mike hasn’t thought about what will be on the next LPU CD yet. - Dave knows the most about cultures, since he watches the History Channel and payed attention in History class. In China, he kept talking about historic battles in the country’s past. - Don’t expect a live debut on the next tour, since it’s hard to get all of the band together to rehearse a new song, as they have to work out every single part of it (i.e. programming, guitar layers, etc.). Mike would love to play ‘Keys To The Kingdom’ and ‘Mark The Graves’, but he doesn’t think it’ll happen this tour. He’s interested in playing them on the next tour, though. - Mike’s favorite music videos? 'Waiting For The End', 'Castle Of Glass', and 'Leave Out All The Rest'. - Dropping THP songs: 'Rebellion' dropped for China, 'Guilty All The Same' because Rob had shoulder problems playing it and Brad hurt his wrist playing it. - Mike would love to make a music video for ‘A Line In The Sand’ or ‘Wastelands’ - especially the latter! - Nothing big planned for the Hybrid Theory 15th Anniversary, but something is coming! - Mike didn’t Periscope in China because it isn’t reliable. He's been updating his Snapchat Snapchat story quite frequently, though! - In 2016, the band is planning on having an album out. They’re going into the studio at the end of this year. Lots of demos recorded by Mike! - On new Fort Minor songs: he’ll take music to the band first, if they like it, he’ll work on it and finish it. - Mike still gets nervous before Fort Minor shows, but not for Linkin Park. - Mike would love to bring back DSPs - they’re looking for a way to effectively bring them back. Pooch had to work double time on them - being a roadie, mixer, and THEN work on the show afterwards, overwhelming them. - There’s still vinyls for ‘Welcome’ left! Grab them before it’s too late! - Mike’s favorite author? His wife, Anna. - Superman or Batman? Mike’s choice: Batman. - Mike joked that they would make a handbook about what to do and what not to do when meeting a band. The universal rule: “If the person you are talking to is crying, saying goodbye to someone at an airport, throwing up, etc… DO NOT TALK TO THEM!” - LPU Meet and Greets will be available for the Fort Minor shows in Copenhagen and Berlin! The Hunting Party Tour is reaching it's end, with the band appearing for one last full tour in Europe, along with performances with Fort Minor in Copenhagen in Berlin. For updates on the chat, check back here or follow us on Twitter. Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2015 touring schedule here.
  14. Mike's on VyRT right now! Get the LPU Password from your vault and join in!
  15. Join Mike in the LPU VyRT Chatroom on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 PST (convert that here) for a video chat! He'll be answering YOUR questions live. This is Mike's first chat from the new LPU Chat platform on VyRT. Both Brad and Chester have held chats on VyRT, as well as Phoenix having a text-only chat (due to dodgy internet) at the airport in Pryor, Oklahoma before the cancellation of the Rocklahoma festival. You can view Chester's and Brad's video chats from your LPU Account - they're listed under LPU-TV! For those who don't know, VyRT is Jared Leto's online ticketing company, that specializes in high quality, live broadcasts, hosting events for many artists including Thirty Seconds To Mars, Gerard Way, Greek Fire, and more. Linkin Park has begun using it as the new location to hold LPU Chats, as the previous Tinychat format wasn't holding up to the standards. The band has used it prior to that, too - the band live streamed the Q&A from the LPU Summit in Woodlands, Texas, as well as showing their acoustic performance of 'Final Masquerade', before the show in Los Angeles, California on the Carnivores Tour was also streamed! What questions will you ask Mike? Perhaps about the next Linkin Park album? If we'll see anymore live debuts on the final tour for The Hunting Party coming up in Europe? Maybe some Fort Minor questions? Be sure not to miss it! Linkin Park's The Hunting Party Tour is reaching it's end, with the band appearing for one last full tour in Europe, along with performances with Fort Minor in Copenhagen in Berlin. For updates on the chat, check back here or follow us on Twitter. Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2015 touring schedule here.
  16. If it's a specific performance of the song that only happened once, list the show page
  17. So you're gonna be THAT guy here, huh?
  18. For fuck's sake man...
  19. Only at one of the summits, so the two is still valid. EDIT: "Shadow of The Day -Piano Version- (W/ Mike, Chester & Rob)" Phoenix and Brad definitely play during the end of it...
  20. You're just LOOKING to be a troll, aren't you?
  21. We're going to have to wait and see what happens. It looks like only people in Asia can view it as of right now. I'm going back to sleep, hopefully someone figures it out
  22. He's from China, that's how
