  1. Change your fucking name to Unpopular Opinion Puffin, please
  2. I feel like the new FM will be much more electronica/hip-hop oriented than it was beats and symphonics on The Rising Tied. I only say this because it looks like Mike has been writing a majority of the music with a keyboard, wherever the fuck he may be. I don't know.
  3. Coincidence that his avatar is the same picture Mike posted on Instagram? I think not
  4. I feel like including the "@FortMinor" is just a clever marketing scheme. More people are going to look it up now. Clever girl...
  5. Mike's put out some of the best verses he's done on ATS, Recharged and THP. The fuck are you talking about?
  6. THATS why they're in New York right now...
  7. Looks like we're getting closer to what's to come. Side note, I didn't 100% believe this was an official account until I saw the official Linkin Park Twitter following it about a minute ago
  8. Ah yeah, cant believe I missed that. Thanks for the catch!
  9. Like Nick, I'll probably do a review of it sometime tomorrow or this weekend. Maybe not tomorrow, since I have finals, but we'll see. It's definitely left a huge impact on me as a person. KTTK, AFN, GATS, War, Rebellion, MTG, and ALITS have that really visceral, heavy in-your-face punch. UIG and FM are beautifully emotional, still heavy but properly so. Summoning and Drawbar provide that little ambience that helps establish a sort of flow amongst the disjointed powerchords of the songs. THP's my second favorite LP album (behind ATS). I think my opinions about it have stayed the same since its realease, if not grown more in favor of it since.
  10. Here we go! The second half of Linkin Park's North American Summer Tour kicks off Friday night (at midnight) in Montebello, Quebec, Canada at the Amnesia Rockfest. This is the band's first show in Canada since the Carnivores Tour, and their first show in Montebello. Had Chester not broken his leg in January, this would have been Linkin Park's fifth Canadian show this year! That's right, three Canadian shows were set to close out The Hunting Party Winter North American Tour in February - Saskatoon, Calgary, and Edmonton, while a show in Hamilton was planned at the beginning of that month. All four were cancelled, however, due to Chester's injury earlier in the tour. The cancellation included the 13th LPU Summit, which was slated to take place in Calgary on February 12 - what would have been the first Summit to be held in Canada. Luckily, Chester's doing great now and will definitely deliver a rocking performance in Montebello. However, unfortunately, another LPU Summit for this year has not been announced. Let's talk about the first leg of the U.S. Festival Run - which, believe it or not, began over a month ago. In case you missed it, here's what you need to know: the band began the tour at the first ever Rock In Rio USA in Las Vegas, Nevada, directly supporting Metallica on May 9. A shortened version of the setlist they would play debuted at the show: notably including a brand new opening with 'Papercut' and its new 2015 Intro, the live debut of the critically acclaimed The Hunting Party closer, 'A Line In The Sand', and members of Of Mice & Men joining the band for both the Ballad Medley and 'Faint'. The tour continued a week later on May 17, when the band headlined Rock On The Range in Columbus, Ohio. The full version of the set debuted, featuring the returns of many fan favorites: 'Rebellion', 'Breaking The Habit', and 'From The Inside'. 'Darker Than Blood' also made its live debut. Brad missed this show due to having to deal with a family problem, but Benjamin, his tech, filled in for him. The band was slated to headline the Rocklahoma festival in Pryor, Oklahoma on May 23, but, due to extreme storms, the event had to be cancelled. The next show in San Antonio, Texas the very next day at the Bud Light River City Rockfest went off without a problem. A special moment from this show: Chester missed his cue to come back in during the extended bridge of 'What I've Done', prompting Brad to continue playing his solo. Sources exist for all three performances - be sure to check out our Downloads subforums to grab them! That brings us to this show. What can we expect from it? The easy answer - and probably what will end up happening - is to say the band will perform the same set they were playing for the last tour. There is, however, several factors that work against this notion. For one, the band is playing their own shows this time around. Two headlining Mexico shows and the Summerfest show are both purely Linkin Park shows. Will the band whip out a few extra songs for these shows? Maybe add an encore? The next point is that the band has been rehearsing for a few days now - according to Mike's Snapchat, at least since Monday (full 'Papercut' to be played - big surprise there). They managed to get down 'A Line In The Sand' relatively quickly, and that's a pretty difficult one to get a hand of. Perhaps a few days is enough for the band to whip out another new song off of The Hunting Party? 'Keys To The Kingdom' or 'War' are the most likely candidates if that were the case. On the other hand, older songs may be contenders, too: 'No More Sorrow', 'Wretches and Kings', and 'When They Come For Me' are all fan favorites the band knows we'd love to see! Additionally, those were some of the songs rehearsed for the Carnivores Tour back in 2014, so the band should easily be able to whip them out! Time will tell what the band decides to do on the upcoming shows. Check out the band performing 'A Line In The Sand' from Rock On The Range last month. This was only the second performance after only a few days of rehearsals. Will the band perform another new song on this tour? The spotlight isn't on Linkin Park for the entire festival, though. A bunch of other great bands are performing, too; some are even whipping out some special stuff! Joining Linkin Park on the mainstage are the Mad Caddies, Goldfinger, Down, Bad Religion, Deftones, Sublime With Rome, and The Offspring. The band has toured with most of these bands before; you may remember the whole "Linkin Nark" situation at the first show of The Hunting Party Tour in Tuscon, Arizona at KFMA Day last year, where Sublime With Rome accused the band of ratting them out for smoking weed. Likely story, indeed. Most notably of all the bands: Deftones. A lot of LPLive members love them, and this show is very special for them: they'll be performing their 1998 album, Around The Fur in its entirety! This includes songs like 'My Own Summer (Shove It)', 'Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)', 'Headup', and more! Definitely something you don't want to miss! Deftones took Linkin Park on their first real European Tour back in 2001, on their Back To School Tour. Since then, Linkin Park and Deftones have shared the stage with Deftones many times - Metallica's Summer Sanitarium Tour in 2003 and even as recently as Rock In Rio USA. The band even covered 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' in 2002! Who's excited for some Deftones action? The band will be releasing a new album in October of this year, as well as performing at Aftershock in October alongside Stone Temple Pilots in September. They'll yet again take the stage with Linkin Park at the Monster Mash in Tempe, Arizona on November 1. Linkin Park/Deftones Tour, anybody?! Check out the full schedule here. System Of A Down headlines Saturday's show, alongside Slayer, Rob Zombie, Snoop Dogg and more. Who's going to the show? Anyone excited to see what Linkin Park has in store for us? What are your thoughts - new setlist, new songs, old songs? Post your predictions below! After this show, the band performs two shows in Mexico before heading back to the U.S. to perform at the first ever Loudwire Music Festival in Mack, Colorado, and at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin alongside A Day To Remember. Then, Linkin Park will embark on two more tours in China and Europe before concluding the touring cycle with one final festival appearance in Arizona in November. 12. On June 16th at 3:30 PST, Chester will be on the VyRT LPU Chat talking to fans and answering some questions! Linkin Park began rehearsals today for their week-long summer North America leg, spanning Canada, Mexico, and the United States next week. To be sure you don't miss the chat, keep track of this countdown to the event! To access the chatroom, check your LPU Dashboard for a special code to enter as a password. Be sure to check back on LPLive on Friday, when Linkin Park begins their short tour at the Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Canada.
  13. Yeah, Mike posted it on Snapchat and showed off some of the gear at his home studio.
  14. He fucked up his foot at this show, not sure if its related to this problem. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2001/20010928
  15. I'm not sure that's what you think it means...
  16. Don't forget the Sunset Strip Fest LPTV, fucking using Blue, Crawling and some other old shit.
  17. If they do a HT Anniversary show, they could livestream it on VyRT, since it'd 99% be in Los Angeles. VyRT could give more people the opportunity to tune in.
  18. Wow, dodnt see that coming.
  19. The skateboarding aounds slightly more edgy though
  20. http://www.thebeijinger.com/blog/2015/05/07/linkin-park-play-beijing-july-26 Looks like the band were originally shooting for this tour to be in April or May. That lines up with what info we had for the rumored Australasian Tour that didn't end up happening.
  21. Would adding a field for Attendance or Venue Capacity be of any interest? Attendance might be a little challenging to find, though... Also, could we work on a symbol or some sort of definitive way of marking sold out shows?
  22. The ALTNC acoustic guitar is in the breakdown, I think. You really need to be listening for it really intently to hear it at all.
  23. The same guy who uploaded the viral video of Scott performing Vasoline uploaded a good portion of the show on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/user/gsxrc1300/videos
