  1. What was said about the problems at the Hollywood Bowl was that it was some sort of server attack, not that the servers were overwhelmed (though that might have just been an excuse; idk, I believe it). Next LPU chat is on Monday, I'll write up a post.
  2. Awesome, finally getting this footage. Hopefully they'll make it another DVD/special thing like they've done in the past.
  3. I guess it's a possibility. If its only Mike I think ALTNC is more likely
  4. I strike at any opportunity I didn't catch anything really of interest tbh, just some merch stuff (LPU Beach ball) and stuff we'd probably assume anyway (i.e. rehearsals start beginning of May). I missed the second half so maybe I did miss something of interest.
  5. Bump! Just over two hours until the chat, if you're tuning in.
  6. Thanks man. We'll Newswire bigger shows (like the upcoming NYC show) but otherwise we'll keep it here. And I believe the two previous shows both sold out.
  7. I think the pre-show posts for this tour are getting a little... repetitive. Maybe it would be better to do a sort of Weekly Wrap-up post rather than one for each individual show, since there's not much variation. But in the mean time... The Stone Temple Pilots Spring 2015 tour is off to a great start! Tonight, the band concludes their final Californian show in West Hollywood, at the House Of Blues. The band has been kicking ass this tour! We're only four shows in, but the band has made their mark on each stage they take over! The tour has had three stops so far: Seattle, San Francisco, and Anaheim. So far, the band has stayed pretty consistent with what their playing: a few new songs with Chester and some complete live debuts (including 'Pruno' and 'Adhesive'!). Chester's even getting in on the instrumental action and playing acoustic guitar on 'Adhesive'. At the last show in Anaheim, the band performed their regular setlist, again switching around the order of 'Plush' and 'Interstate Love Song'. Check out this video of 'Interstate Love Song' from last night's show in Anaheim - the band's rocking out and in great shape! Who's heading to the show? With West Hollywood concludes the short Californian run the band had planned. The next stop on the tour is in Denver, Colorado and then two dates in Texas. The band is expected to release their first album with Chester around October - hopefully some more news about that will be coming in soon! Mark your calendars - the Stone Temple Pilots show in New York City on April 27 will be livestreamed via Yahoo! Music. If you didn't get a chance to see the band this tour, this is your chance! For updates on the show, check back here or follow us on Twitter @LiveSTP. Check out the rest of Stone Temple Pilot's touring schedule here.
  8. Fixed
  9. Lorenzo and Lulu of the LPU (alliteration, hell yeah) will be on the LPU VyRT room on Wednesday, April 15 at 4 PST (convert your time zone here!). They'll be answering questions about the LPU and Linkin Park's upcoming summer tour. Members of the band will be appearing on VyRT later in the month (a band chat announcement is coming soon!) This isn't the first time Linkin Park will be utilizing VyRT. For those unaware, VyRT is Jared Leto's online ticketing company that allows fans to experience shows live from the comfort of their homes. The band used it back in September 2014, on the Carnivores Tour - first to stream the Q&A from the Woodlands, Texas summit and a second time to stream the show from the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. Official Statement: LPU Members - check your email for details on how to enter the VyRT chat room.
  10. This is the internet. We have the rights to say whatever the fuck we want (I mean, except certain things). Do we really have to continue this stupid argument because someone really hates this song? You want to hear nothing but praise? Go to the LPU forums.
  11. Is it worth even responding to that? You're the ONLY one who's even mentioned nu-metal in the two threads. We have opinions, and we can speak them, regardless of how harsh they are. I prefer ALTNC, but I enjoy this song for what it is. The drop is meh (honestly prefer the live ones) and the bridge is fantastic.
  12. Spring Break is over, my brain is not functioning (yet)
  13. Closed - continue the discussion here: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11666
  14. Steve Aoki's new single featuring Linkin Park, 'Darker Than Blood,' is available for purchase now! The song is to be featured on Aoki's upcoming album, "Neon Future II", which features many other guest artists, including J. J. Abrams, Rivers Cuomo, Snoop Lion, and more. The album is due out on May 12. Aoki and Mike recently shot a music video for the song together - they both gave us some behind the scenes action on Periscope earlier in the week! The video currently does not have a release date, but we'll keep you updated. The "official" debut of the song is set to be tomorrow (April 13) on a variety of avenues. Mike and Steve will be stopping by at KROQ studios to debut the song to radio - tune in between 8-9 PST if you want to catch it! Later in the day, Mike and Steve will be debuting the song via Steve's twitch.tv channel, while the two play Mortal Kombat X (place your bets on who'll kick who's ass - my money's on Shinoda). The song will be available for purchase everywhere tomorrow. LISTEN:
  15. We don't necessarily control what goes on the homepage. It shows the most recently posted thread.

  17. "The same promotion than any other project" New subforum New section of the site New Twitter Pre-show posts RT's on Official LPL Twitter That's more promotion than the other projects have gotten. "I believe that we are different than the stupid fans from Below Empty that doesn't consider the new STP a real band." That's a general statement. It's the butthurt admins who think that, not the community. "Subforum, ha, give me a break." Which other projects have their own subforum? Julien-K, since they're their own band. Their success is not directly related to Linkin Park. Same with STP. Fort Minor, DBS, Grey Daze would be nothing (Grey Daze would not be remotely as known-about as they are today) without LP's existence. You want to continue this? Make a thread in the STP section. This thread is about Mike jamming with other bands at Coachella.
  18. Stop. We specifically made an entire subforum FOR the purpose of Stone Temple Pilots. They're a complete other band that has built a legacy independent of the success of Linkin Park (unlike DBS and FM), therefore they get to be in their own subforum. It's not like we dedicate anything less to them or don't promote them any less.
  19. Edited + Newswired
  20. Is Mike wearing a Death Grips shirt? haha awesome.
  21. The Stone Temple Pilots 2015 Spring Tour is off! The third show of the tour will be taking place at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California - the second of three dates in California. The band absolutely went off on the first shows of the tour (Seattle and San Francisco), performing some songs for the first time with Chester (and for the first time at all!). 'Lounge Fly', 'Pruno', 'Coma', 'Adhesive' and 'Creep' were all performed for the first time with Chester, and 'Pruno' and 'Adhesive' got their first performances ever. At the previous show in San Francisco, the band performed the same set they did in Seattle, except for switching up the order of 'Plush' and 'Interstate Love Song' (perhaps by accident?). While it seems unlikely the band will make any major changes to the set for the tour, if they did, what songs would you like to see them perform? Perhaps 'Black Heart' could be brought back into the mix! Check out this MASSIVE performance of 'Pruno' from San Francisco - perhaps one of the band's biggest jams in the set. What songs are you excited to see on the tour? Who's going to the show? After this show, the band concludes their Californian excursion in Anaheim (at another House Of Blues!) before heading off to Denver. Clear your schedules - the show on April 27 in New York City will be livestreamed via Yahoo! Music. If you didn't get a chance to see them on the tour, this is your chance! The band is rumored to be releasing their debut album with Chester in October of this year, stay tuned for more information on that! For updates on the show, follow us on Twitter @LiveSTP or check back here. Check out the rest of Stone Temple Pilot's touring schedule here.
