The Stone Temple Pilots Spring U.S. Tour is winding down as it approaches it's final week, but that isn't stopping the band from playing some AWESOME shows. On April 27, STP will perform in New York City at Irving Plaza, along with a livestream via Yahoo! Music (more info below). And, yes. Chester's hair is pink. Last night, Stone Temple Pilots performed a show in Montclair, New Jersey, proving that the band only got better throughout the tour. Chester marched out in the clothing you see up there in the picture (#DiscoChester, anyone?) and the rest of the band just as ready to perform an awesome show. I was there! I can personally say, STP put on one hell of a show. For those who haven't kept up with the setlists, here's what you need to know: the band added five new songs into the set that Chester hadn't sang on previously: "Lounge Fly" (the opener), "Pruno", "Coma", "Adhesive", and "Creep", as well as debuting "Pruno" and "Adhesive" for the first time ever! The show was very special for Robert and Dean - they were both born in Montclair! Fun fact: they grew up in Seaside Heights, which isn't too far form where I live! Small world! Memorable moments from last night's show include Chester's awesome screaming during "Sex & Violence" and going into the crowd during "Plush"! Keep your eyes out - I managed to record to full audio for the show and will be releasing it here soon! As mentioned previously, this show will be webcasted! Yahoo! Music will be streaming the show as it happens live. Make sure to have your alarms set! Linkin Park's show on the Carnivores Tour in Camden, NJ last year was livestreamed via this platform, too (coincidentally, I was also there!). Check below for all the information you'll need to know. With all the talks about Stone Temple Pilots, the opening band, Dreamers, seem to have been left in the shadow (and I'm not just saying that because I got a picture with them last night). In Montclair, the band played a great set featuring songs from the Dreamers EP including their single 'Wolves' and 'No Love'. They opened up big with 'Waste My Night', and even performed a brand new song for the first time: 'Black And White'! The concluded just as huge as they opened with 'Not A Love Song'. The band hails from New York, so this show will be somewhat of a homecoming for them! If you haven't heard of them before, definitely give them a listen! Who's going to the show? Or, who'll be watching the livestream at home with us? After this show, the band has three more shows before completing the tour in Boston, Philadelphia, and West Palm Beach (respectively). One week later, Chester will be back with Linkin Park to perform at the 1st Rock In Rio USA (which will also be webcast!). Stone Temple Pilots will be back on May 16, when they perform at the WMMR*B*Q (replacing Bush) in Camden, NJ (a day before Linkin Park plays Rock On The Range in Columbus, Ohio! Go Chester!). Be sure to catch up with all the tour conversation in the STP Tour Thread. For updates on Stone Temple Pilots live, be sure to follow our STP account, @LiveSTP on Twitter! Ah, I see. I don't know where you'd be able to 100% something like that :\ Perhaps eBay or Craigslist might have some results.

You probably have it already considering you went to this show, but a video recording exists for 11/10 NYC.

It's interesting that Brad did this with Jakob Dylan (to me) - I was named after him, haha. Why the fuck is it that every time Brad does a solo his back has to be turned? lol -

Truly the finest moment of his career. -
Stone Temple Pilots have busted through the first week of the their huge Spring US Tour. The band has hit 7 cities so far: Seattle, San Francisco, Anaheim, West Hollywood, Denver, Dallas, and San Antonio. While the band's kept things pretty safe for the first few shows of the tour, there's been many memorable moments! Let's start from the beginning - Seattle, Washington. The band performed a new set to open up their tour, featuring the Chester debuts of 'Lounge Fly', 'Pruno', 'Coma', 'Adhesive', and 'Creep'. In fact, 'Pruno' and 'Adhesive' were performed with the first time in the band's history. Chester picked up an acoustic guitar for 'Adhesive', adding to the list (which includes songs like 'Shadow Of The Day', 'Iridescent', and 'Morning After'). 'Pruno' came off as a huge surprise, being one of the band's biggest jams in the set now! Other notable details from the show include the band bringing singer Richard Peterson onstage at the end of the show and the band closing out with 'Dead & Bloated' for the first time with Chester. After Seattle, the band embarked on a three-show excursion in California, hitting three cities: San Francisco, Anaheim, and West Hollywood. The setlist stayed the same for the most part - in San Francisco, the band rotated 'Plush' and 'Interstate Love Song' around (perhaps by accident). Some familiar faces were in attendance at these shows: Phoenix was at Anaheim and Joe was at West Hollywood. All three shows sold out, and the band delivered some powerful performances! A local band, Spiralarms, supported the band - Eric used to be a member of them in 2005, and even recorded a song called 'Gettin' Gone' with them! When California was done, the band flew out to Colorado to play a show in Denver. The band kept things simple at this show, not making many changes to their performance. Nonetheless, they played a huge show! Next came two shows in Texas: Dallas and San Antonio. Dallas did not see many changes either, but Chester brought a fan onstage to sing 'Dead & Bloated' with them! Awesome! San Antonio was a great show as well (to be honest - it's happening right now as I'm writing this! ). This show will likely be remembered due to Chester's old school blonde hair returned here (those who remember the old Hybrid Theory and Meteora days will remember this look!). Seems like Chester's getting in touch with his younger side. Hell, he's jamming like he's in his teens, so more power to him! Who attended any of these shows? What did you think? We think Chester's never sounded better, and is doing an exceptional job on the tour! In the next week, the band will be visiting 4 more cities: Oklahoma City, Chicago, Silver Spring, and Montrclair. Anyone going to any of those shows? I'll be in Montclair, ready to jam! Next week, on Monday, the band's set in New York City at Irving Plaza will be livestreamed on Yahoo! Music. There'll be a post in the Newswire to remind you all, but be sure to clear your schedules on April 27! After Linkin Park finishes touring in September, the band will make some final changes to their upcoming debut album with Chester that's slated for an October release. More details will be coming soon! For updates on any of the shows or any news on Stone Temple Pilots, be sure to follow us on Twitter @LiveSTP! I thought it'd be interesting to fully dissect Joe's solo medley sample-wise (also since I'm attempting a studio remake at it ). There's a bunch I'm missing, so feel free to help out. I'm using the recording from the Hollywood Bowl for timing references, download that here. 0:00 - Cure For The Itch 0:02 - VICTIMIZED (M. Well, keep in mind this: it's not a consistent problem. If they're under attack, they did their best to resolve the issues. MARS delayed their set so they could resolve the issue as best they could. You can't blame them for something like that (if you were in a similar position, being sabotaged, it's not necessarily something you'd like to be blamed for). And that was a few months ago, too - the site has vastly improved since then.

Brad will be chatting with fans on the exclusive LPU Chatroom on VyRT on Monday, April 20 at 11 AM PST. This will be the second LPU Chat to be held on VyRT after the switchover from Tinychat, after Lorenzo's and Lulu's chat earlier this week. VyRT is Jared Leto's online ticketting company - Linkin Park's used it before, when theirs and Thirty Seconds To Mars' sets were broadcast live at the Hollywood Bowl (and, unfortunately, faced some issues due to a DDoS attack). VyRT allows for you to watch chats from wherever you may be from any device - the same goes for the artist. Jared Leto has done free VyRT Violets from all over the world on tour (including backstage on the Carnivores Tour, where they streamed the band going onstage at a few shows). The band will now be using it regularly to host LPU Chats, and potentially even stream concerts in the future. To access the chatroom, check your LPU dashboard and copy/paste the code to watch.

DJ sets at 11 am? How times have changed.
-
What was said about the problems at the Hollywood Bowl was that it was some sort of server attack, not that the servers were overwhelmed (though that might have just been an excuse; idk, I believe it). Next LPU chat is on Monday, I'll write up a post.

Awesome, finally getting this footage. Hopefully they'll make it another DVD/special thing like they've done in the past.

Aoki x Shinoda - "Darker Than Blood" Live on May 16th?
RogueSoul replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
I guess it's a possibility. If its only Mike I think ALTNC is more likely -
I strike at any opportunity I didn't catch anything really of interest tbh, just some merch stuff (LPU Beach ball) and stuff we'd probably assume anyway (i.e. rehearsals start beginning of May). I missed the second half so maybe I did miss something of interest.

Bump! Just over two hours until the chat, if you're tuning in.
