  1. US tour with this set would be fine with me, they are playing everything I want to hear now. Into You is my fav DBS song. http://www.lplive.net/shows/DBS/20100127.php Show page is up.
  2. pwns CBI opening. I saw both and Fire is their best opener IMO. EOWT is great too but I like Fire the best. I'd like them to tour the USA with this setlist....
  3. Yeah I want the DSP's more than the new song too. Rock am Ring 07!!!! DSP = Digital Souvenir Package aka: live audio of the show (http://downloads.linkinpark.com), show pictures, and a digital tour booklet LP is selling the 2007-2009 shows online that they didn't sell previously...aka Europe 07, Europe 08, Australia/New Zealand 07, and a few random one-off shows.
  4. Mike's latest blog post: "A quick “8 BIT REBELLION” update. Our new game, available for the iPhone and iPod touch, will be out soon. We’ve pushed the release back a few weeks because we’re testing the game. In fact, I’m playing the game right now, making sure everything looks good. So far, there are still some minor changes to make…and I’m taking notes. We don’t want to release it until all we’ve addressed as many issues as we can! Also, many of you have asked about the game being available for other platforms, since you don’t all have iPods (although Steve Jobs is hoping you will reconsider, ha). We’re hoping to get it out for other mobile platforms after it debuts with Apple. No word on that yet; it may take a while. For now, it will only be available on iPod and iPod touch. Lastly, let there be no confusion: the song we released for DOWNLOAD TO DONATE is not the same song as the one on the game. The song on the game is ANOTHER brand new Linkin Park song. For more info on 8 BIT REBELLION, go here: http://linkinpark.com/profile/LinkinPark8BitRebellion " Also, on Twitter, Mike had to say: "to all FM fans who are upset about the fm site going down: chill out. FM isn't dead, it's just taking a break." Here's to hoping there is another Fort Minor album; Mike seems content telling us the project will someday be revisited. Spraypaint (LPL user) - CELEBRATE. I guess we'll get the DSP's before 8 Bit Rebellion....maybe by the end of the week? Hope they go up soon!
  5. Yep. I've been told by one person that they are coming out this week, but that was before Haiti, and then another has told me it's likely they'll come out this week. I see the DSP's coming soon, yeah.
  6. So, it's the last week of January. Anyone have any updates about 8-Bit Rebellion? The new song? Or the DSP's? Any updates?
  7. I've never agreed so much with one post before. Wow. You have EXACTLY the same thoughts as I do. Very nice. Meteora is just...wow. Such a good album, I love it start to end. LP really proved themselves with it.
  8. LOL. I agree, Mother Maria is amazing. Slash's album will be so good. I really really hope Chester is on it somehow.
  9. That's just NRG, LP always records at NRG. Every album LP has made has been worked on in some way or another at NRG with I BELIEVE an exception for Reanimation. I know for sure Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Collision Course, Minutes To Midnight and the new album were all worked on at NRG.
  10. If only. I pray that'll be what it is but I know it won't be I'd do anything for another HT or Meteora. I'd rather have that again than the band redefining their sound after every album lol. MTM was good, you know, but I got into LP on HT because that's the sound I liked. U2 and Coldplay sounded like MTM, obviously I wasn't into them as much as I was LP during HT/Meteora days. That's the sound I got into them on so obviously I will prefer that more than the experimental stuff. I never said the MTM stuff was bad, it's just I prefer the older material.
  11. You sure complain about stuff a lot. No shit it doesn't fit, lol, that's why I extended the amount of news posts that are allowed on the page.
  12. It seems DBS might not tour the USA O_O
  13. Do you even know who Julien-K is?
  14. We know?
  15. Stop spamming, you are posting totally ridiculous amounts of nonsense/unneeded/bullshit posts.
  16. Should've seen me staring the thing in the face and saying "WTF where the HELL is the share button?". Fail. Then it was "Oh I see it on the smaller one, but not the bigger one". Even bigger fail. lol, jesus.
  17. It's been confirmed to me that more artists are adding contributions soon, so yeah I think John Mayer might put one on there.
  18. Bottom right of the widget click "Share" for FB. "Embed" for websites.
  19. Thanks to Adam's great help, I was able to put the Music For Relief "Download To Donate" widget up on the site this evening (or morning for those of us on the east coast). Linkin Park and Music For Relief need your help more than ever in this time of tragedy; all donations are going 100% towards Haiti where they need it the most. Check out Music For Relief's website for more information. MFR is one of the top charities out there in my opinion because you know EXACTLY where your money is going. I didn't even notice that you can embed the widget until about 30 minutes before this post went up, so I think that's a really cool feature. If those of you with websites and Facebooks (I love FB myself) want to throw the widget up, that'd be cool too. The songs included are AWESOME; it's such a great treat that all of the songs in the album are all unreleased - that just adds another special touch to it for me (as well as the fact the entire thing came together so fast). If you haven't checked it out yet, the compilation features the brand new Linkin Park song "Not Alone", a demo from the 2006-2007 "Minutes To Midnight" sessions that was revisited and reworked solely for this project. MFR.org: "In partnership with the United Nations Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and Dave Matthews Band's BAMA Works Haitian relief effort, Music for Relief is working to provide immediate aid with food, water, and emergency medical supplies, and long-term sustainable housing solutions for the people affected by this catastrophic natural disaster." Support LP, support MFR and more importantly, support Haiti. Thanks Adam!
  20. What? I don't understand, lol. Mike sang on Fear. Geki was talking about a rap verse. Rap verses on Never Let Me Down and one on Resurrection by Mike would've been sick.
  21. I'd give $1,250 if it was guaranteed Mike Shinoda would drop a verse on the track.
  22. Funny thing is, the radio is always off for me, lol. And LOL, you REALLY think Bush acted slowly because it was Louisiana? My god. Hell, who the hell knows if he would've reacted faster if it was Texas. I'm sure he would have, but not much. That's one of those "oh shit" moments, I mean if you're from Florida and bam Florida is slammed by a Category 5 you're like SEND SHIT ASAP TO FIX IT OMG WTF. It's just a natural instinct kind of thing - something happens to your home and you're more concerned about it than your neighbor's home. It's human instinct. And no this is not some shit you reply to with "Well the President should be concerned for the entire nation". He obviously was, lol. I saw nothing wrong with Bush's personal reaction to Katrina and the actions he himself personally did. FEMA was a complete joke but George Bush did nothing wrong from what I saw. Black people jump at the opportunity to blame him, blame his reaction, all this stuff. I even watched an entire film a few months ago at college that was saying people in the 9th Ward think Bush pulled the levees on purpose. LOL. Point is, when shit breaks, people immediately want to point fingers. It causes a sense of relief once you can rest your finger on something and blame it rather than not knowing WTF just happened. Natural human instinct again. People jump at the gun WAY too much when blaming Bush's post-Katrina response.
  23. Holy fucking shit Mike talking about getting all the tracks together when he's in the vocal booth, damn. He is a BOSS. Wow, that is so cool.
  24. "Not Alone" was an old demo of LP's (very likely from the MTM sessions) that they turned around, scrapped the lyrics for and added new lyrics on.
  25. Mike gave a new interview to MTV.com today, which you can read here. Some highlights: "Shinoda plans to add more tracks in the upcoming days — each from a major act who donated their track in response to the January 12 earthquake." "We had a demo [for 'Not Alone'] — the music was laid out, we had done the song a little while ago ... we just never used it because we never thought it was done," Shinoda remembered of the origins of their track. "[After the tragedy in Haiti], we listened to the demo again, essentially scrapped all the words, rewrote the words ... when you've got that idea and emotional charge in you and you put that in the lyrics, for me it does make better lyrics." "There's an authenticity and a passion that you can hear in Chester's voice on this track; we literally wrote [the new lyrics] via e-mail, before he had flown out from Arizona to L.A. [to record them]," Shinoda said." All I have to say is, Mike is a very talented guy and seems like he's in total boss mode right now. Very impressed with LP this week!
