The intro is a reverse piano part.

Ouch. Hope the iPod song comes out soon. DSP's by mid Feb would be ok, lol.

For those of you wanting to hear the Lupe Fiasco song on the Download To Donate album, hang tight. It's a collaboration with Lupe Fiasco and Kenna, with Mike producing it, so unfortunately we don't get to hear a dope Shinoda verse anytime soon, haha. However, Mike's production of a track means it's likely to be 110% awesome so I'm looking forward to it. http://twitter.com/DJBusy/status/7950660871 says: "Hang Tight! The Lupe/Kenna/Mike Shinoda track is getting mastered and we'll be added to the player on www.musicforrelief.org soon." For those of you that aren't aware, the track is titled "Resurrection". Next, an update on the DSP's. I have received word that they should be posted "at the latest" by early next week. Sweet! EDIT: Song is now available, check musicforrelief.org (or your email if you have already downloaded it) for more details.

Pooch told me they will be posted AT THE LATEST by early next week. Sooooo, very soon.

Awesome, thanks. Hmm..... Doesn't sound as similar as I thought; damn! Oh well, my bad, haha.

lol, link for the 2nd one doesn't work

No man. Reread the post. You have no idea what I said, lol. It's not a part of the original 5. "It seems Mike used one of the unreleased scores to use as a beat for this new Kenna song he produced." The released scores = the 5 you posted. The unreleased scores are NOT the 5 you posted. Therefore what you posted isn't what we're looking for, lol. But the second I heard the beat kick in I was like "holy shit a VMA score". Someone else said the same thing to me on AIM when they heard the track. The VMA score actually has like 1 sample that's different but I believe that the general beat is the EXACT same. 99% sure that's the VMA score in this song.

Check out the new Kenna song "Never Let Me Down" that was produced by Mike and the guy from The Neptunes. If you want to get it, it's on the Music For Relief "Download To Donate" Haiti album at http://www.musicforrelief.org. Anyway, I noticed something when listening. Remember how Mike said he did around 10 VMA scores for MTV in 2005? It's really cool because these things keep popping up everywhere, actually. Alright, so we got the original 5 (Madison, Saturday, Hype, 100 Degrees and Montreal), and then we had TWO clips of two OTHER scores that aired on the VMA's on TV. Last month in the LPU 9 trailer, we heard part of one of those unreleased scores again. And now that I've heard this new Kenna track, I think I might've figured out where the last one went. I think Mike used one of the unreleased scores to use as a beat for this new Kenna song he produced. I actually even think "Never Let Me Down" was the track Mike did with Kenna that was going to be on Kenna's "EP: MSTSMF Outtakes". I wonder if any of the other unreleased VMA scores have popped up in other places that we don't know about (like being used in a song, etc). Discuss?

LP management said the problem will be handled shortly. They are aware of it. "Resurrection" will be included in the file soon they said.

My attempt @ Not Alone lyrics real fast: not alone - linkin park I break down, fear is sinking in the cold comes, racing through my skin searching for a way to get to you through the storm you... go, giving up your home go, leaving all you've known you are not alone with arms up, stretched into the sky with eyes like, echoes in the night hiding from the hell that you've been through silent one, you.... go, giving up your home go, leaving all you've known you are not alone go, giving up your home go, leaving all you've known you are not alone *bridge* you go, giving up your home go, leaving all you've known you go, giving up your home you are not unknown you are not alone you are not unknown you are not alone *background stuff from chester I guess, dunno what he sings*

Adam says LP management will fix the missing Lupe song ASAP. I wonder when this was written. I wonder if it was within the last week or if they wrote it in 2005/2006 after visited New Orleans while writing Minutes To Midnight.

Not before I go to bed. I'll donate like $50 tomorrow. Lyrics are for real.

Mike's latest blog posts: "Music for Relief has brought together an incredible album of artists who have all generously donated original songs to support the Haiti relief effort. Artists include: ALANIS MORISSETTE, THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, ENRIQUE IGLESIAS, HOOBASTANK, KENNA, LINKIN PARK, LUPE FIASCO, PETER GABRIEL AND SLASH. I was a part of three of the songs. One is a BRAND NEW LINKIN PARK SONG called “Not Alone.” The second is by LUPE FIASCO and KENNA called “Resurrection.” The third is a track that KENNA and I did a while back but was never released, called “Never Let Me Down.”" Also: "I will be on CNN’s “Larry King Live” on Tuesday, January 19 to talk about Music for Relief’s DOWNLOAD TO DONATE album and relief efforts in Haiti. Tune in to hear more about the project." http://www.musicforrelief.org to DOWNLOAD TO DONATE. Lyrics for "Not Alone" can be found here. We kindly ask you to NOT post a link to the song! The Lupe Fiasco track "Resurrection" is currently not posted, but LP management knows about the issue and will upload it soon; thanks for the patience. What do you guys think of "Not Alone"?

"Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews Band, Hoobastank, the All-American Rejects, Peter Gabriel, Enrique Iglesias and Slash are joining an effort to help Haiti led by Linkin Park's non-profit Music for Relief group. They are among the artists who have donated new songs to the project called Download to Donate for Haiti. Fans will be able to download and buy the "album," with all proceeds going to the cause, by visiting musicforrelief.org. Fans decide how much they can donate for the download."

I'd be fine if LP puts TLTGYA on it, lol

DBS management FAIL. Biggest mess I've ever seen.

100% disagree. Mike is exactly like Trent Reznor. Exactly. Hence, "The Glue". I see Mike and Trent being very very very similar.
-
Phoenix's latest tweet.... @johncmayer: Hey John, Phoenix from Linkin Park. Wanted to talk about contributing a track for Music for Relief's upcoming Haiti effort... Hmmm...maybe LP is putting a compilation together. Hopefully a new LP song...?

brb, calling in Astat lol....

COMPLETELY disagree. Kanye is a true motherfucker, I hate the guy with a HUGE passion. His bullshit black rant shit from the post-Katrina show was ridiculous "George Bush hates black people", give me a fucking break. He can't get enough of himself, the prick. Jumping on stage with T Swift...IMMA LET YOU FINISH, jesus christ. What a COMPLETE joke of a character. Kanye is an absolute disaster. He fucked Bonnaroo in 2008 as well and tried to lie about the whole thing as well. The guy needs to call it quits, half the world hates him. I cannot stand him one bit; complete egotistical maniac. You can't go around and say someone's music is good and love them while ignoring their actions. I was raised 180 degrees opposite of that. In fact, a lot of the respect I have for artists comes from stuff they do outside of their music. And while we're on the subject, Jay-Z is a boss, lol.
-
Probably an iTunes release too. Maybe some sort of EP that you can buy the song and game on. No way the song is just on the iPod....that'd be like a tiny tiny tiny fraction of their fanbase that'd hear it. Mike said a lot of times it was a BRAND NEW song, but they also said that about Across The Line, so you never know. My prediction is it IS a totally new song, actually. Maybe a song that fits in with the game somehow.

LP - live in NY DVD (20.1.2010 release date)
hahninator replied to deafandblind's topic in Live Talk
LP releasing the MSG show on DVD would make up for RTR in my opinion, lol. Oh man that'd be so cool.
