Can I use that image for LPL t-shirts?
-
I definitely had no words to describe how awesome this was when I saw the picture. So apparently you fucking AWESOME LPLive European fans got a huge LPLive poster made and signed to give to Julien-K. They're framing it and hanging it in their studio (according to the members of LPL that gave it to them at the show). Check it out. That's the coolest thing I've ever seen that has to do with LPL...that's cooler than "She Couldn't" in my opinion. You guys are awesome. I love checking Facebook at 2am randomly one morning and seeing that on my wall. Damn. Thanks guys. EDIT by SpikeMinoda: The poster was designed by Overkill and the idea with the poster for Julien-K came into the mind of Jacrid and I, because I told him to print it out for the DBS tour. He printed it way too big and so we thought every LPL member who will show up at the concerts between Zurich and Hamburg will sign it, so then we gave it to Julien-K at the Hamburg show!

I left after like the 3rd question; boring man. I mean COME ON. Someone was like: "So was Not Alone a new song or an old song?" Are you kidding me? Do you know how many times LP has stated what the deal with Not Alone was? Like 4-5? Album seems like it's taking forever.... kinda bad when no member can describe what it sounds like lol. And what does "live drums" mean? He said the new album has live drums. Does that mean the previous albums had robot drums? lol

I just emailed Pooch and was like WTF these people have no idea what they are talking about. Pooch: "Looking into it." Boss. Fucking love him.

Jesus christ. Dear Customer, I noticed that Papercut was missing from the set list too, so their isn’t any way of getting it. However, I did try to credit you with the song from the other Auckland performance. All of our content is 256K, DRM-free MP3 format. Hope this helps, LP Download Support
-
Yeah Pooch's bday was Melbourne2, George's was Sydney1 (BIO during the drum solo they sing Happy Bday, lmao).
-
No, it's there. I actually don't think they edited ANYTHING from these shows, which is GREAT. Chester's mic broke on OSC Auckland night 1 on the bridge and they left that there. Compare that to New Divide 2009 where it seems it was edited at every chance possible *cough* Grafenhainichen *cough*. No editing is MUCH better because it makes the show pretty exclusive. Yes. Chester falls and breaks his wrist on Papercut, see the show page. SOTD was dropped. Mike and Brad do a short little jam before Numb while Chester gets ice on his wrist...Mike talks after LOATR and FTI about it...after FTI they sing Happy Birthday to Pooch. Good show. Commentary on Papercut and SOTD from the following 2 shows - Adelaide and Perth - about it is pretty cool. Melbourne night 2 for the highlights. Sydney night 1 crowd is amazingly loud and Auckland night 1 has a very tight, well rehearsed, exceptionally well performed Linkin Park performance. So Sydney1 and Auckland1 performance wise, Melbourne2 for the highlights. Buy a few if you want and download the rest if you can't afford to get them all (no idea who can afford to buy every DSP, lol). Info on how to do that coming soon. Great shows.

They were recorded whether LP admits it or not I believe. Pooch told me a while back every single show starting with Auburn was recorded. That'd be Europe 08's festivals then. Rock am Ring 07 might not have been recorded but I know for sure the 08 festivals and 09 festivals were. Knebworth, Venice, etc. Regarding Papercut Auckland 2: "Dear Customer, Within the next 30 minutes these file/s will be added to your account. Simply login, press the "You have new files" link and you will see the "start" button. Thanks! Linkin Park Download Support" We'll see what that means, lol. And here's what I think happened with SOTD Melbourne 2. I remember someone telling us about Adelaide that Kurt played guitar on SOTD, so I think we assumed he did it in Melbourne night 2 because noone said SOTD wasn't played, they all said that LP "played the rest of the show" and we thought that meant the full set (SOTD included). So we fixed all POA intros, setlists and now I'm doing show notes for NZ/Australia. Good shit, good shit.

You are more than welcome to post any opinion of yours here. I don't censor what people say or get mad at what they say about things here, lol. Hell, I complain all the time Europe 2008 was recorded. No idea why it was not released. Every show from Auburn 2007 to now was recorded. A few pre PR07 shows were recorded too.
-
I think now is a good time to ask LP about the DSP's. Something like: "Since the new DSP site has launched, do you guys think you'll expand it over time and release even more shows (Europe 2007/2008) or something pre-2007?"
-
I don't think they played it that night
-
Highlights so far: - Auckland night 1 OSC, no Chester from the bridge till almost the end... cool shit - Brisbane Bleed It Out, Chester in the crowd is just awesome, killing it with the crowd - Brisbane Papercut, been a while since I've heard a Papercut intro mixed so nicely with basically zero talking over it Still listening of course, good stuff.

I got tracks 2-7 from Perth and the download just quit on me. I got all the rest, besides track 8 from Auckland night 2 which hasn't been uploaded at all. Need No More Sorrow and tracks 8+ from Perth...sent them an email, hopefully support replies.
-
Hell yeah downloading them all now, Melbourne night 2 should be interesting. Please note Auckland night 2 is missing Papercut still.

LPU members, head on over to http://downloads.linkinpark.com/ to download your DSP's! Australia and New Zealand 2007 shows have been posted for your enjoyment, so be sure to download those. Due to management and Linkin Park changing their position on us fansites sharing the shows, we are no longer legally allowed to share ANY of the DSP's, new or not. Nothing from 2007, 2008, 2009, etc. I know that this sucks, but oh well. It's a money making scheme at it's best but we have to go by it and deal with it. I have my own thoughts on it which I'll post later, but that's that. LPLive will be dealing with this accordingly...please stay tuned for a personal message from me on the matter to our forum members. Give me a few days and I'll work on something for you. I personally think this just sucks but there's nothing I can do about it. Just thought I'd let you know that I received word that we are no longer allowed to share them. LPLive staff and any members that visit: I am back in our IRC chat room @ #lplive.net on EFNet. Talk to you there. Thanks and enjoy.

Buying them all now. Stay tuned for info on the DSP's.

If anyone has any of the shows, feel free to upload them and link us up, I'd love to hear Melbourne night 2.

This. Go back and read Pooch's interview with LPL, that's all there is to it. I didn't think we'd get anything pre-PR07. Pooch said they recorded a FEW shows before PR07, so maybe Berlin or London is recorded, but they started recording EVERY SINGLE show starting with PR07. So that sucks about Europe 07, I guess it wasn't recorded. Was really looking forward to Rock am Ring 2007, damn damn. Good news about Australia and New Zealand though. SWEET. Get to hear about Chester's broken arm and stuff. The questions I have are: - The reason I was told that Europe 08 was NOT released is because of the tour schedule and how hard it was to mix on the road. They were all recorded in 2008 on that summer tour - Berlin, Athens, etc. Just not mixed until recently (I believe in January). Why would they not release those? Athens 2009 was released, why not 2008 when it was the exact same venue? I don't think we'll ever get a DSP of Reading My Eyes, dang. - KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2007. We know they recorded and mixed it and sent WID and maybe BIO to KROQ to play on air after the show. Why not release that? Lots of highlights from that show - No More Sorrow and Bleed It Out with the UCLA Marching Band, Hands Held High with the kids choir, etc. That sucks about that. - Las Vegas 2007. The random one off show at the end of PR07. I'm sure it was recorded, wonder why it wasn't on there. Glad we are getting Australia/New Zealand 2007, but the main thing I'd like to know is what shows pre-PR07 were recorded (Pooch has stated that a few WERE), why they aren't being released, and why we aren't getting Europe 2008. Same venues and cities and stuff...I'm curious.

Na, not just an LP fan. Not at all. A lot of bands care about their fans, lol. Metallica does stuff like that but better sometimes. LP used to pull kids up on stage during the shows (mainly 2001-2004). So not 99%. Maybe 70-75% of bands don't do things like that but a significant number do (even bigger bands; hell Muse is letting people from the radio station sing during the show on stage, lol). I did it with 10 Years a month ago; Preston and I were front row and we knew the setlist so I yelled the name of the new song a few times...Jesse (lead singer) said "you know it?" and after going back and forth he got us to cue in Brian (drummer) on cymbals...Jesse leaned down to Preston and I and we sang the intro, both choruses and ending with him. Literally right in our fucking faces, maybe 1 inch between my nose and his. That was the last song so he grabbed both setlists on stage, handed one to Preston and one to me. They went off stage, crowd dispersed, less than 2 minutes later he comes around from the side of the stage to talk to us and thanked us, etc. Badass. Shit like that with one of your favorite musicians has to be one of the best things *ever*...Alex you must be in hog heaven to fucking sing with CHESTER. And he already knew who you were, damn. That's awesome. Congrats, I bet that was awesome.

Wilderness and co are at the HMV Forum in London gathering all sorts of cool information for us. They've already met Elias and talked to him, and spoke to one of the Linkin Park (& DBS) security guys about a Linkin Park tour this year. I just spoke with Lee on the phone and the guy told them LP was planning on a June/July tour but now it's likely going to be in September. Interesting! Follow all the updates! http://twitter.com/LPLDBSTOUR More bits of info and goodies to come soon! He has also confirmed the setlist to be the same as the Asian tour, so don't expect many changes for Europe. Soundcheck for London: Fire, Inside Of Me, Into You, In The Darkness. You can find Wilderness' show story here.

omg June, gonna hold up LP album, postpone DBS and cause the LP record to drop in 2013. ommmgggg.
-
Hell yeah this is fucking GREAT. Fort Minor-era shit, I love it. Thanks Mike, I am a big fan. Awesome material, so glad we finally got it.
-
You really think DBS is going to play bonus songs live that didn't make the CD? I think not, lol. I bet Europe gets the same setlist as Asia.

We eventually got QWERTY, I know we can get this
