LPTV Europe Summer 2003 Rob smiles at Fiore while on Crawling

Today is Jonas's (aka [AndOne] 23rd birthday! Jonas helped me start LPLive way back in 2006 when we combined his handy "source" guide with the setlist pages I had created. He's been with us since the beginning and I consider him as much of the "site owner" as me! I was lucky enough to spend a week and a half with him last summer at his home in Germany as we caught Linkin Park at 4 shows throughout Europe (Graz, Zurich, Stuttgart & Grafenhainichen) and had a total blast. Many of you know him from that little show run as well as the recent Dead By Sunrise shows in Europe. Happy Birthday man!

From the newest post on LinkinPark.com, "Own your Linkin Park live experience now and relive it again and again! Due to demand from YOU the fans, Linkin Park has launched the "LP Archives: Official Tour Bootlegs" comprised of over 100 professional live concert recordings from 2007 – 2009. The LP Archives are now available to the public at http://downloads.linkinpark.com. The shows are $9.99 each, with a bundle deal to buy 5, and get the 6th FREE. As an added bonus, anyone who purchases at least one show will receive a 1-month online only trial membership for LP Underground, Linkin Park's Official Fan Club. Fans who purchase 5 or more shows will receive an annual online only LPU membership for FREE! LPU members had the chance to exclusively purchase the shows 2 weeks before they went on sale to the public and received a 25% discount on their purchases! To purchase "LP Archives: Official Tour Bootlegs," visit http://downloads.linkinpark.com. " The cover for the shows is now available for those of you who bought the shows before and want it. Remember, we have a cover for all of the released DSP's...like a Projekt Revolution 2007 one, etc...so I guess you can use this one for those or the new ones...not sure how that'll exactly be done lol. I'm using it for AUS/NZ and keeping the others like I had them already. Cover art image can be found here. Enjoy!

Ah ok cool. Anything discovered recently from Rosewood Fall?
-
lol I love Dutch. Some of the coolest emails around come from him. I wish bigger bands would take a note and stop doing these weird press releases that sound official and just have their announcements all down to earth like Dutchy.

This says original remix so this is what he remixed of APFMH and sent to LP for consideration before LP got with him and changed it, that's how I understand it. Welcome to LPL. I use Firefox on a laptop at home and on my desktop PC and post here fine. Not sure what the problem is. O_O @ you being alive.
-
Then you are more than welcome to get the fuck out, I am sick of reading this bullshit. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Jesus fucking CHRIST I am tired of people bitching about JK being covered on this website.
-
Because we happen to fucking have dedicated pages to Julien-K on this website. I am tired of the damn bitching about Julien-K news here. We have a lot of JK fans here and I am a big fan too, so I cover them here. You have the option to visit LPL or not visit LPL and when you visit LPL you happen to be getting JK news as well. If you don't like it, ignore it. I don't know what else to tell you. I love Julien-K and their content is here to stay. If it was some random band I'd understand but due to their intense relationship with LP, I think they fit appropriately with the site. Do you want me to rename LPL to MusicLive.net?
-
Which song do you like better by Julien-K? Both Dreamland and Killing Fields didn't make it on the album....which one is better?
-
Moderator or not, I don't feel like Staff here needs to be an accurate representation of LPLive. Like we do the work but the opinions posted by individual staff members aren't what the site as a whole views. Everyone has their own opinion and I don't feel that just because they have a badge by their name that they have to censor what they say, because that's bullshit. I am REALLY big on freedom of speech...if you feel like saying something, say it and let's debate it, lol.

B-Real featuring Linkin Park & GBC

Not trying to kiss ass here but seriously, Adam has done a LOT recently in the LP world to bring things back to a good happy medium. The LPU has improved WONDERS. Adam is instrumental in quite a few things. New DSP site, new LP.com, etc...he does a very good job at what he is told to do and has a very open personality...very approachable and I think it's great he's on LPL. Some people blow it out of proportion but I do appreciate his work (which is why my sig has had that comment in it since I saw it). And a comment to my earlier post: No matter if you do DSP's or not, people are going to record shows and pass them around anyway. I've recorded several LP shows on my own and shared them around...it's a big hobby. People love hearing the shows - they are unique, very fun to listen to, etc. Why do you think it's ridiculous that we like following them?
-
It is KINDA ironic, in a different way. Naaaaa man. This goes way back. It's funny you say that because when you actually had a good message board on LP.com, Mike actually posted a thread himself for us to upload and share DSP links to the shows. He does say "yeah, you guys have free rein to post these for download". And by now, I would think that Linkin Park management would understand better than ANYONE that despite what hardcore fans do, they will buy the product no matter what. Yes, I share DSP's and other people do but do you know how much we buy from them? Shinoda: Yes, and we also – that’s another thing that I think is really cool about it is we also encourage our fans, for those who get this thing, is we encourage them. Our sets change. We play songs maybe one night that we don’t play the next, and so if you want to get those songs, we encourage our fans to go on and trade them and kind of get to know each other. We really like the fact that, in the digital world, people who like the same things and want to be part of something can communicate and share and exchange things with each other. This is one of those things that we would really like our fans to kind of do that with. Bennington: Plus, different shows, some shows are really special. Just the way that a certain song came off one night just really touches people sometimes. Those are the kind of MP3s that get passed around a lot. We are not out to fuck anyone over. Noone. I hope you guys understand, seriously, how many people are VERY interested in following ALL of the DSP's, no matter if they have a substantial amount of money or no money. A fan is a fan. If they want to hear a show I have, I'm not going to be like "Well you can't hear it because you can't afford to buy it and I won't send it to you". I'm not like that. LPLive is for the fans, by the fans. I like helping people out. I also like hearing the shows. Other people ALSO enjoy hearing the shows. I have them all on my iPod...it's so convenient to just click a show I haven't heard in a while and listen to it while going to class or going to bed or something. The point is, we aren't fucking anyone over. We aren't stealing your money, we aren't saying F. U. LINKIN PARK. We love the DSP's, we love the live shows (duh because this is LP LIVE) , and we like to let others check out the live aspect of Linkin Park, one of my favorite parts about their band. I'm not out to get anyone, I'm not out to steal any money, I mean damn, seriously understand we are not bad people. HOW do you think the logic of this website is ridiculous? All LPLive has done since I created it is help people out in as many ways as possible. I have dropped assloads of money on this site and I would hope someone like you would not be instrumental in bringing it down.
-
No? You know logically not every person can follow the shows they want to by having to buy them all, lol. Doesn't defeat the purpose at all; tons of people have bought them and will buy them. I bought every show of LP's I've been to (9), and I grabbed all the Australian shows (9). They are DRM-free mp3s and advertised as such. Easily over $100 just for those shows just from me. http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20178488,00.html The MP3s won't be copy- protected, making it relatively easy for freeloaders to find them on the Web. But like the Grateful Dead before them, Linkin Park don't mind if fans share their live recordings. ''I would rather they trade these high-quality mixes of a song on really special nights than swap links to crappy YouTube clips off somebody's cell phone,'' Shinoda says, chuckling. ''Which always sounds like s---!'' You can't be telling me people are legit getting upset over people DL'ing shows that buy every product available, lol. ?
-
So who went through and added all the LPL setlists to setlist.fm? Thanks, lol, appreciate that after all the hard work we did.... Kinda, you know, defeats the purpose of LPL after all....
-
That should be about right. Mid 04 to late 04. AYGBMG was a cover played twice.
-
Wow this is really cool, I wanna grab some music from this band.
-
Thanks, you rock. I love Killing Fields.
-
People will spread them naturally over time. Be patient. Nottingham was the first show to have pictures.
-
Old location = Demonoid.com on torrents
-
Two important statements from me to the LPL community: 1. If you are a Julien-K fan, check out the new track "Killing Fields". Hands down an incredible track. I can only compare it to "Across The Line" in terms of "Why the fuck was this not on the album since it blows away 3/4 of the album material?" AWESOME song. Reigning in at 5:16, this is no doubt one of the best tracks they've ever made as a group. 2. 2007 location is where the good stuff is. Start hunting? That is all.
-
Demonoid has Auckland1, Auckland2 and Melbourne1. More soon. Trying as hard as I can.
-
Na, we never specified. The DSP's for sale now are the exact same other than they have been renamed file-wise and possibly tagged a little differently. Weird. The only new DSP's are NZ/Australia 07. Otherwise everything we shared here is available on there.
-
Just thought I'd give you all a heads up since many of you were wondering about one of the new DSP's posted the other day on the new DSP site. After a few emails back and forth with LP Download Support and eventually Pooch, 'Papercut' from Auckland, NZ night 2 has been uploaded to the DSP site. October 12, 2007 is the show date. It was initially missing from the first upload but was finally added today. I'm not sure exactly how to get it if you downloaded the show already, so I recommend that you email LP Download Support and tell them you'd like 'Papercut' from that show. Thanks to the support staff and especially Pooch, who told me within 75 seconds of me sending him an email that he'd look into it. Sweet.
