  1. Casey Roach got a video of APFMH from side stage in Alpharetta including great footage of Mike on guitar...I'll get him to upload it. Naaaaaaaa. You know how it goes. We have stockpiled some cool shit for these months with nothing going on Time for more exclusives!
  2. Hi everyone! Over course of the last week, we have worked on a letter to Linkin Park's management about releasing older DSPs (pre-2007 shows). On LPLive especially, this topic has been discussed amongst fans quite a lot since 2007. On this letter, we have collaborated with 15 other Linkin Park fansites. Some of them you are familiar with and some you might not have heard of; now is a great time to check those sites out and see what they have to offer. Without them, this would not be possible. Needless to say, if you've ever felt strongly about getting older Linkin Park shows released, now is your time to speak up. We know there are many of you who love the older Linkin Park shows just as much as we do. Drop a reply, send a tweet, get active on this topic. --------------------------------- March 3, 2013 To: Linkin Park management Linkin Park touring staff and all others whom it may concern, We are writing to show our appreciation for the live shows released and sold by Linkin Park online as well as to bring up the possibility of releasing some older shows by the band. The Linkin Park community is very thankful for the DSP (Digital Souvenir Package) concept, which allows fans around the world to relive their concert experiences over and over again. Introduced in July 2007 on the Projekt Revolution tour, live show offerings began with a live CD code available to purchase at a show. In 2008, the DSP program was introduced where fans could buy the show online (sometimes even with their ticket purchases), including the audio of the full performance and photos from the event at downloads.linkinpark.com. The DSP program has continued to this day, including shows from 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The DSPs have become quite popular with fans of the band, encouraging discussions on every single show released (a whopping 229 shows as of March 2013). Chester in 2008 commented, “For those who get this thing, you know, our sets change, we play songs maybe one night that we don't play the next, and so if you want to get those songs, you know, we encourage our fans to go on and trade them and kind of get to know each other and communicate and share and exchange things with each other, and this is one of those things that we would really like our fans to kind of do that with.” Mike also said the same year during Projekt Revolution: “Fans love it. I mean if you go to our Web site and you check out the message board we have a whole section dedicated to the fans who want to talk to each other about swapping those files and sharing their experiences of the show. For us, and you can kind of get a sense with the other bands as well, that for us and this whole tour it’s kind of about like let’s just see where it goes. We’re keeping our minds open to what happens every night, we try to make the set — more and more often we make it flow and feel, we feel out what the crowd wants us to do, we kind of jam a little bit. And with all that said, you know each show is a little bit different, sometimes a lot different. And that just makes for a better experience for the fans and it’s one that now, with that digital souvenir package that they can actually take home.” Like Mike mentioned, there is a large online presence of LP fans who enjoy collecting and discussing these officially recorded shows, both on official LP websites and on the numerous fan sites across the web. Additionally, on these fan sites (forums and torrent sites as well), there are fan-recorded concerts of the band from 2000-2013 which fans trade, collect and listen to time and time again. Over the years, many fans enjoyed highlights of Linkin Park’s live performances due to the dedication of those who go out of their way to record shows. However, all too frequently the quality of these recordings is lacking. Prior to 2007 when the live CDs started, only one full Linkin Park show had been released by the band - the CD/DVD “Live in Texas” in 2003. Nothing from the start of when Linkin Park began playing live to 2003 has ever been released and nothing from 2004-2006 has ever been released (from the “Live In Texas” period to the online live shows period starting in 2007). There have been occasional live songs tacked onto releases by the band (international singles + Linkin Park Underground CDs), such as a song from 2003 or a few tracks from 2006 for example. With the “Hybrid Theory Studio Collection” release on iTunes (January 2013), ‘High Voltage’ live from the Wantagh, New York 2001 show surfaced - a show recorded by Linkin Park but never released in any form. Along with this show, we are aware of several older shows that have had songs released by Linkin Park, but haven’t been released in full: Partial shows released on singles: 2001-03-24 London, UK 2001-08-09 Wantagh, NY 2001-09-16 London, UK 2001-11-17 Tacoma, WA 2002-02-23 San Diego, CA 2003-02-27 Hamburg, DE 2003-03-11 Worcester, MA 2003-03-17 Detroit, MI 2003-08-22 Reading, UK 2004-08-13 Atlanta, GA 2004-08-18 Tampa, FL 2006-08-12 Osaka, JP 2006-08-13 Tokyo, JP + other undated performances from Ozzfest 2001, Family Values Tour 2001, LP Underground Tour 2003 and Projekt Revolution 2004. With the DSPs, Linkin Park has only sold recent shows from the past few years (2007-2012). On the LP ARCHIVES: official tour bootlegs site (downloads.linkinpark.com), visitors see a list of “top 5” shows. Currently, the shows included in this list are New York City 2008 (the show featuring a surprise encore appearance by Jay-Z), Paris 2010 (the show featuring a surprise ‘A Place For My Head’ performance for Hybrid Theory’s 10th Anniversary), Berlin 2010 (the first show released with songs from A Thousand Suns), and Israel 2010 (the band’s first performance in the country). Obviously, the shows with more “importance” (like a special song, a song debut, a guest on stage, or the band’s first appearance in a country) are the shows which are purchased the most. If you take a poll online, older tours like Projekt Revolution 2004 rank near the top of “favorite Linkin Park tours” with hardcore fans of the band and with the platform already there (downloads.linkinpark.com), the band has an outlet in which to release older shows to fans. Older shows contain highlights as well - Projekt Revolution 2002, for example, featured several guests during the show, a cover of ‘’My Own Summer’ by the Deftones and rare appearances of songs like ‘It’s Goin’ Down’ and ‘And One’. Additionally, the tour in Japan in 2006 featured ‘Reading My Eyes’ (only played live 8 times) and older shows (2001-2004) feature live songs which have never been released by the band like ‘Hit The Floor’ or ‘Forgotten’. There should be no question about whether there is interest from Linkin Park fans, as the interest has been there for years (as you will see by the fansites listed below). A release of older LP shows would be very exciting for fans of the band and the band’s live performances. At the Incubus live site (http://incubuslivebootlegs.com), Incubus has a list of shows they recorded (even available in lossless formats) and fans can vote on which ones they want to be mixed and released. We are aware that a lot of shows are not able to be released due to contracts/restrictions by various groups like festivals, etc, but we do think there are at least a few older shows that could be mixed and released to the Linkin Park community. In conclusion, it would be great for fans to be able to enjoy some of these older performances by the band! 3. Great - that's really awesome. Can't wait to hear it. Are all the members still making music? I wonder if they'd ever try and do a one-off show again or something. Or best case scenario - make some more songs together.
  4. Not sure how the band feels on people playing live. Like, they let everyone play in Europe and Australia in 2010 and then on the USA tour when Astat asked they said they weren't doing it anymore. Interesting. lol the one person that everyone fucking wanted to get up there and jam wasn't able to I really thought when he won the M&G he was going to play. Hopefully he gets a chance someday.
  5. I agree with that. Play ITE as much as you want but give APFMH some more plays. Thankfully this tour they've been doing that. APFMH in almost every set is perfect. What about Numb? New Divide really needs to go. I like ITE live (although I like APFMH a LOT more) and I like What I've Done. Wish WID had the AMBO intro still. Drop LGM for NMS, APFMH or Figure.09.
  6. First, the most obvious one: LIES GREED MISERY -> anything. VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) is good. I will literally take any other song. Easily LP's worst live song to me. Next, some other ones: New Divide -> From The Inside Numb -> POWERLESS (common one I see a lot on the forums. please give Numb a rest.) Given Up -> No More Sorrow (another common one, I like NMS a lot better) In The End -> A Place For My Head (or play both) Waiting For The End -> Pushing Me Away (or When They Come For Me LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent (Ballad Medley) -> TLTGYA
  7. Since 2007 I've secretly been hoping that Mike would toss the And One end rap over Points and now over WFTE, so I'd love to see that.
  8. The time has arrived for Linkin Park's final show on their New Zealand/Australia Tour for LIVING THINGS. The band will play the final Soundwave show of 2013 in Perth, Australia at Claremont Showground. LP has played in Perth twice before - the first coming in 2007 (show page here) and the second coming in 2010 (show page here), both at the same venue (Burswood Dome). The Soundwave show makes it the band's third show in Perth and their second venue in the city. This is also show number eight of the eight show tour. This is the last announced tour date for the band until August, when they will return to Japan for Summer Sonic. The rumor going around right now is that the Asian shows will be the band's next tour and that there will not be a European Tour between now and then unfortunately. We will post more on this shortly after the tour. At Soundwave on this tour, LP has been rotating between Festival Set A and Festival Set B, both of which you are familiar with already. Since A was played at the last show in Adelaide on the 2nd (show page here), we are expecting the explosive Festival Set B to close the tour out in Perth. With 'A Place For My Head' and 'Papercut' opening this set and 'Faint' and 'One Step Closer' closing out, this set is arguably one of the band's best setlists on the entire LIVING THINGS World Tour. 'A Place For My Head' has surprisingly gotten a lot of love from the band this tour (even appearing in the A encore in Melbourne), which of course brings a lot of smiles to hardcore fans of the band! Here is the song opening the Melbourne Soundwave show: This will be the last show of the tour for Pez and Mikey as well, who as you know already have been traveling to every show on the tour in Australia. Nice job guys - it's not very often that fans attend seven shows on a tour! Who will be making the trip to see the band in Perth? Linkin Park will be playing at their usual time from 6:30-7:45pm on Stage 1 B. A Perfect Circle plays before them on the same stage, Blink 182 plays next on Stage 1 A, then Linkin Park plays, followed by Metallica closing it out. What a great lineup for a show! For the full 2013 tour schedule, including the setlists from all nine shows in 2013 so far and the dates for the two upcoming shows in Japan in August, click here. SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 05. With You (2012 Ext. Intro; Ext. Scratch Outro) 06. Somewhere I Belong (2012 Intro) 07. New Divide 08. 9. http://lplive.net/shows/20080607-1.php APFMH says acapella on it, lol
  10. There have been ones listed that haven't been released, if that's what you mean. I don't know if any were for sale and then removed completely. Stuff has happened like Pomona 2009 was for sale at the merch booth (not online) as a live CD and was never put online because the power outage corrupted the show. We at least got the pictures though that were going in the DSP. Berlin 2012 was listed and removed due to it being shown in theaters. WJL was removed from Tampa and Sunrise 2011 after it was released in the shows already. They re-edited them and removed WJL. I don't know anything else though.
  11. MikeShinodaClan and Loudwire report that Linkin Park will be, for the first time, releasing an EP for Record Store Day. A two track 10-inch EP with an exclusive poster and sticker will be available on Record Store Day, April 20th. To find your local record store, go to RecordStoreDay.com. This release is limited to 3,000 copies. The most interesting part of this release is that the tracklisting consists of 'One Step Closer' and 'My December'. Oldschool! Both of these songs, as you know, are included on the 'One Step Closer' single. LP Record Store Day EP Tracklisting: 01. One Step Closer 02. My December
  12. Pez - the Numb pic of what you are looking for can be found in the Sao Paulo broadcast.
  13. Trading is one thing, selling is another. I remember when all of this shit was going down - you were deliberately trying to fuck traders. I have no sympathy on people who record just to sell it and make a profit. That's low. We don't condone this behavior, even if we do buy NYCBC and Japanese shows. At the end of the day it comes down to - do we want the show or not, and it's always yes. What do we do with all of those shows though? Release them for free ASAP. Independent guys going out and doing this shit is ridiculous though. Keep the info on the show page as far as I am concerned. You morally know the difference between right and wrong.
  14. Nothing, they just extend it a bit longer than normal. Just Brad playing the guitar part longer usually is what that means.
  15. Saw this on LPA. Thought for a minute the crowd wasn't going to be into it lol...huge break by Mike before he starts the song and the crowd is pretty quiet it sounds like. Then they explode when the song kicks in haha. Great video.
  16. Four M&Gs, wow! Very cool. I have your number, I look forward to your set updates Enjoy the last two shows. An update on the DSPs: https://twitter.com/TourPooch/status/306928862258933760 Pooch: "not sure. We are recording all shows, and I think the intention to release them as special releases."
  17. Really sorry they didn't release Monterrey for you man. Best APFMH since Mountain View 2004. What a crowd!
  18. Thanks for everything you do for LPL, it's so appreciated! You're a great member to have on the site :)

  19. Bleed It Out - TF2 Premier Mix.mp3 160kbps. From the Transformers 2 show. From Monster.com right? Just ran across this file on my computer.
  20. Alright time to search my computer and find it! I'll let you know when I come across it. Unfortunately it's not in my LP folder but I do have it.
  21. Thanks! I will get on this ASAP. I think that is the LPU 2.0 referral contest where the band goes out to eat at a foreign restaurant with the winners. And they give them a ton of stuff before that at an office for LP or something. Working on a million things at once right now - is that video in your list in this thread? If not, I can upload it...I do have it somewhere on my computer. I actually saw that for the first time last year in 2012 and was like "wtf this is like 10 years old and I've just now seen it for the first time lol".
  22. I definitely wouldn't judge a setlist as bad just because it is missing my favorite song. An example is the 2009 setlist. Stuttgart 2009 is probably my favorite LP show ever that I've seen. It also was missing both Papercut and A Place For My Head - my two favorite LP songs. But wow the flow of the set was so perfect and it was an amazing show. It still had other great songs, like POA w/ Reading My Eyes outro, an awesome Numb -> BTH transition on keyboard, etc. And a sweet encore. I will judge a setlist bad if it does have my favorite song though and it is a shitty show. Atlanta 2011. One of the worst LP shows I've seen and hell it opened with Papercut for the first time since 2003. Just examples of how it can go both ways. Look at more than whether your favorite song is included when you're judging how good a show is.
  23. Maybe once it all gets organized....still some organization left to do. Can you list for me the broken files? I will contact the LPU and see if we can get them reuploaded if you can give me an exact list of what's broken in the stuff I uploaded. I'm sure they still have them somewhere and can upload them if they are not lazy. There's nothing going on between the end of this tour and August so they should be able to do it. I have never seen the Carpets episode. Wow, nice find. The Contest one is probably my favorite episode they've put up. The TLTGYA demo is gold. Nkramar knows the girl that won but she couldn't tell him any info about the songs after she came back lol...I remember everyone freaking out and we tried to get her to divulge some info about the songs.
  24. That sucks. Something we need to add to this show: http://lplive.net/shows/20120629.php The day of the show was also Linkin Park Day at Dodger Stadium, where the Dodgers took on the New York Mets. Mike, Phoenix and Joe participated in pregame activities at the ballpark and Joe wore a Dodgers jersey on stage during the show that night.
  25. On the 2nd of March, Linkin Park plays Bonython Park in Adelaide for the Soundwave Festival. The band has played in Adelaide only twice before, making this show their third show in the city and their second venue there. Their first show there came in 2007 (show page here). Due to Chester's broken wrist, that show was a rare opportunity for a crew member to join the band on stage as Kurt played Chester's guitar part on 'Shadow Of The Day'. Linkin Park returned in 2010 to the same venue (show page here), the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Lewis, an LPU member, joined the band to play 'Faint' on guitar for the THIRD show in a row with a fan on the song (video below). By the way, Pez and Mikey are doing the ENTIRE Australian run with the band right now - a whopping seven shows. Wow! Huge shoutout to you guys for sure - thanks so much for all the updates you provide for each show and we hope you guys are having a fucking blast! Linkin Park's two most recent shows came in Melbourne, where they first played a Sidewave headlining show on February 27th (show page here) and played at Soundwave on the 1st (show page here). Both shows featured a setlist addition with the first show having 'A Place For My Head' replacing 'In The End' due to a fan poll the band conducted before the song and the second show featuring 'Papercut' being added to the #2 spot in Festival Set B. Better videos of the 'A Place For My Head' addition can be found and There are two shows left on this tour - Adelaide on the 2nd and Perth on the 4th. We are expecting LP to play Festival Set A in Adelaide and Festival Set B in Perth to close the tour. It is possible they will surprise us though; the band fortunately is very unpredictable, which makes it fun to follow the shows on the tours. You can check out the past setlists on this tour by going to our 2013 tour page. The interesting fact that we have for this show is that while the band is utilizing two of their three setlists from 2012 - Set A and Set B, they obviously have not taken Set C to Australia. This means one song in Set C is being left off of this tour - 'When They Come For Me'. The last performance of Set C was night two in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on October 10th, 2012 (show page here). The other song that was played in Set C that is missing from this tour is 'IN MY REMAINS', which was in all three setlists (A, B and C) but was replaced in A and B by 'CASTLE OF GLASS'. Since it is unlikely either song will return on this tour with just two shows left, we can hope that they both return in August when the band plays in Japan! SETLIST: 01. TINFOIL 02. Faint (Ext. Outro) 03. Papercut 04. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 05. With You (2012 Ext. Intro; Ext. Scratch Outro) 06. Somewhere I Belong (2012 Intro) 07. New Divide 08. VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) 09. Points Of Authority 10. LIES GREED MISERY 11. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' v2; Wall Of Noise Outro) 12. Breaking The Habit 13. CASTLE OF GLASS 14. LOST IN THE ECHO (2012 Intro) 15. Numb 16. What I've Done 17. BURN IT DOWN 18. In The End 19. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge) 20. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro)
