More than those two shows had Wake into Lying From You. I think LA had it too and maybe even others. Wake 2.0 didn't have any appearances without Given Up as far as I know. Unrelated, all performances of Session in 2009 went into Given Up, except the Shanghai show where they forced the band to drop it. So it went into From The Inside at that show, which is what Wake went into in Chula Vista in 2007. I just thought it was interesting that both Wake and Session have gone into From The Inside once.

It's weird because usually LP always plays England. But somehow there hasn't been a European Tour for LIVING THINGS yet, and lol if there is one it'll be over a year after the CD comes out. Surely they'll do a Euro Tour. Germany with 5-6 shows, England with 3-4, etc.

Fixed. Staff is lazy sometimes.

Sorry that this wasn't in the news sooner! I posted about it on our social media though

Usually we don't post about specific venues closing down over time, but this one is definitely an exception. Gibson Amphitheatre (formerly known as Universal Amphitheatre) is closing this September. Many of you will recognize this venue as where KROQ holds the annual Almost Acoustic Christmas concert. Linkin Park has played the AAC show in 2000 (show page here), twice in 2001 (show pages here and here), once in 2003 (show page here), once in 2007 (show page here), and most recently in December of 2012, just a few months ago (show page here). 'My December' also made its live debut at this venue: This venue has been the site of quite a few great Linkin Park live moments, from the only performances of 'Pushing Me Away', 'In The End', and 'Crawling' (w/ Aaron Lewis from Staind) acoustically to the UCLA BRUIN marching band joining the band in 2007 and much more. 2003's performance of 'Breaking The Habit' (just the eleventh time played) was the first show in which the online community was able to hear the live version of the song due to KROQ webcasting the show. LAWeekly.com has the press release: "(Los Angeles, CA / Wednesday - April 24, 2013) This fall, a celebrated chapter in Los Angeles' rich musical history will come to a close when the Gibson Amphitheatre shuts its doors in September. The landmark venue will cease operations at that time due to the end of the building's lease agreement. As a celebration of the many legendary artists who have played its stage and the tremendous performances that have thrilled millions of fans, Live Nation's Southern California office will assemble a very special lineup of shows as a fitting farewell. More details will be announced soon." Although Linkin Park is in the studio recording the soundtrack and score to The Mall as well as their followup album to LIVING THINGS, we are sure this statement will fuel speculation that Live Nation will attempt to get the band to play a show at the venue this year. Maybe this will happen, maybe it won't. It is unclear where the Almost Acoustic Christmas show will move to - perhaps Irvine's Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, where KROQ hosts the Weenie Roast show, or the Staples Center.

My old avatar! Forgot all about this. These pictures bring back some great memories haha. I wonder if that Korean news team ever aired their studio footage from that period of time. Must have been so awesome to have been holed up at that studio for months. Such a neat place to record a CD. Also Geki there's lots of pics of Ethan in that album.

Do we already have a list of live releases by Dead By Sunrise and Fort Minor? If not, we should start a list. DEAD BY SUNRISE: LP Underground Online Content (Las Vegas 04.07.2009) - Morning After (Acoustic) - Let Down (Acoustic) (Isn't that where this song came from?) UKU/Sonisphere EP (Online Download) (Knebworth 01.08.2009) - Crawl Back In FORT MINOR: Anything? Any live releases? Do proshot videos count? Where did the FM Sessions@AOL audio come from? Was it ever on iTunes? Didn't the LPU release some 2006 live songs from FM? Videos? It's Goin' Down?
-
Updated. Added A Decade Underground. Added the Nashville 2008 show to My December on both A Decade Underground and Songs From The Underground. Added the Twilight DVD's LOATR performance. Added the CASTLE OF GLASS EP to the Singles list. Are we missing anything else?

And the Hybrid Theory Unmastered was May 7, 2000? How is that possible if the 6 track demos were on a CD the day after and they were so different? I guess the timing doesn't really matter then, lol
-
I pinned this topic because I thought it was very relevant
-
Is there any way we can get a rough time estimate of the Hybrid Theory 7 track, 8 track and 9 track demo CDs? Is there no way to figure that out? No insert or anything mentions any date? I find it weird we have just the 6 track date but not a date for the other 3.
-
Looking at my iTunes, I noticed that I have just A Decade Underground and I was always under the impression that it was the same thing as Songs From The Underground. Can someone clear this up? A Decade Underground tracklisting: 01. Announcement Service Public 02. QWERTY 03. And One 04. Sold My Soul To Yo Mama 05. Dedicated 06. Hunger Strike (Live 2008) 07. My December (Live 2008) 08. Part Of Me 09. Across The Line 10. Pretend To Be Songs From The Underground tracklisting: 01. Announcement Service Public 02. QWERTY 03. And One 04. Sold My Soul To Yo Mama 05. Dedicated 06. Hunger Strike (Live 2008) 07. My December (Live 2008) 08. Part Of Me Now where did the Crawling (Live 2008) version come from? I remember it was on the LPU site for free but I thought it was on one of these releases.

I compared and you are exactly right. The screams after the song give it away plus Mike's keys he plays directly after the song. Great job. It wasn't in the "Officially Released" list because we couldn't ever figure out the show.

I think they are done with The Mall music and probably are working on the new LP album right now. Ethan's website says he tracked/recorded The Mall music with LP from May to October 2012. They probably have concluded those sessions by now if he hasn't posted a single thing about it since October. There's a pic of them in the studio in September, so that sounds about right. http://www.ethanmates.com/News.html "May-Oct. 2012 Tracking new music for forthcoming feature film “The Mall”" From Joe: https://twitter.com/joehahnLP/status/248863...3030656/photo/1 (September 20)

That's true. Is it on every live APFMH performance starting with Orlando 2000? Or did he add it later?
-
You can share them. They are completely gone from the LPU website so they are free to share here.
-
If needed I can upload My December from every one of those shows, haha. I think the people that would figure this out though probably have it. Some shows didn't have it: Basel, Frankfurt, Sheffield, London night 2, Columbus, Detroit, London (Ontario), Los Angeles, Las Vegas night 1, and West Valley City.
-
Wow. Try searching and seeing if you can find what thread it was. Maybe search your own posts or something. Those would be great to have. I always thought that they were lost with time. I tried to get Adam to reupload them to the LPU in like 2009 but had no luck.
-
I just made a thread about it. Someone hopefully will find it haha. Also Ethan probably mixed the SoHo 2008 Apple Store show, but I don't have a source for it.
-
Since I know we have some really good "searchers" on the forum, I noticed that we still don't know what show My December is from on Songs From The Underground. I asked Pooch in 2008 but he said he just mixed it and forgot what show it was from (lol). Surely we can figure it out maybe by the beginning or end of the song. http://lplive.net/2008.php These are the possible shows. Hannover until Sacramento. Anyone want to start? Maybe eliminating some shows first is easier. I can help if needed. Here it is if anyone needs it. EDIT: Confirmed to be from the Nashville 2008 show.

My problem with the Fuse broadcast of MSG is that it makes the crowd sound so quiet. Surely it was louder in there haha. But the pit wasn't doing anything at all! I really don't like it when the crowd sits still. The energy levels really affect the band...like in Germany the band talks a fuck ton more during the shows because the place is blowing up the entire show. Mike in Uncasville demanding people to stand up was just embarrassing, lol. Pooch and Dylan did the LPU 7 CD. Those songs were just taken from the DSP sources and I guess they were all mixed together seamlessly (not sure who did that). They do sound different to me too (I agree with you) so maybe they mixed them DIFFERENTLY for that release, but those 2 people are credited on the LPU 7 CD instead of Ethan. Ethan has really solid stuff. From The Inside and Faint from 2006 are just epic. All of the 2006 live songs he did are A+...the band sounded GREAT that year, especially Chester, but the mix of all 6 members was flawless. Great job by him. I haven't heard BID/LGM from the CASTLE OF GLASS EP (+ whatever other release they were on) yet. I'm not sure about Crawling and Hunger Strike on Songs From The Underground. That is worth taking a look into. I know Pooch mixed My December on that release so it wouldn't surprise me if Pooch did the other 2 as well. We still need to figure out what show that version of My December came from. There aren't that many options...should be like 20 or something.

From 2006? During the recording of MTM? I really wish I would have grabbed those. And I wish they would have done them for ATS and LT. I'd love to see those if anyone has them. There were really cool ones there, like even the Brazil 2004 setlist and stuff.
-
I like Pooch's work much better but Ethan does have some solid stuff. I definitely don't know every single song and I probably am missing some, but to my knowledge this is what he has mixed: 2006 12.08.2006 - Osaka, Japan (See next show ->) 13.06.2006 - Tokyo, Japan (He mixed all of the live releases from these two shows. LPU 6's tracks (QWERTY, Pushing Me Away, Breaking The Habit, and Reading My Eyes) and the What I've Done single's tracks (Faint and From The Inside).) 2010 12.09.2010 - Los Angeles, CA (He mixed the Griffith Observatory performance of The Catalyst for MTV.) 07.11.2010 - Madrid, Spain (He mixed ATS+. It says he mixed the Puerta De Acala iTunes EP too. And apparently the 5.1 DVD of this show.) 2011 04.02.2011 - New York City, NY (He mixed the Fuse broadcast of the Madison Square Garden show.) 05.02.2011 - New York City, NY (He mixed the SNL broadcast of Waiting For The End, Empty Spaces, and When They Come For Me.) 23.06.2011 - Moscow, Russia (He mixed the MTV broadcast of the Transformers 3 Premiere show.) 04.07.2011 - London, England (He mixed the iTunes EP of the iTunes Festival show.) 2012 01.06.2012 - Adenau, Germany (I believe he mixed the BID/LGM live tracks that are on a few releases, from either RaR or RiP.) 05.06.2012 - Berlin, Germany (He mixed the show for the theater showing, but did NOT mix it in 5.1. After he mixed it originally, another company did the 5.1 and they fucked it up. The mix sounded terrible to me.) He did not mix the Live 8 songs on LPU 5 but he was a part of the process - it says he was working on Pro Tools for that release. It wouldn't surprise me if he mixed High Voltage from Wantagh 2001 on the iTunes release a few months ago either. I'm sure there are random tracks I am missing from this. Additionally he has done studio work with the band and can be seen in the MTM DVD, Mike even refers to him by name. I think he's in the ATS DVD too. His website doesn't show it but I believe he worked on LIVING THINGS as well (studio engineer like two albums before that) as well as The Mall soundtrack/score that the band has been working on since last year. New Divide was mixed by him I think. And other random stuff. "Mixed all B Sides and Bonus material for LP’s “Living Things”". He mixed Across The Line, Blackbirds, etc (all those random MTM b-sides) in 2007 even though they weren't released until later. It says he did the video game tracks for LP before ATS came out so that means The Catalyst (MOH Mix) and whatever other songs were on soundtracks. Blackout? And one more. Mixed two songs on Songs For The Underground (not live songs). I'd assume those are Announcement Service Public and QWERTY. Although they aren't on live releases, his website says: "Mixed Linkin Park live at the iHeart Radio festival, Video Game Awards, and American Music Awards" and a lot of other stuff LP-related like that. So he's mixed quite a bit for the band. He didn't do the actual SHOW mixes for those shows since Pooch is in charge of that but I assume this means he mixed CASTLE OF GLASS for TV, BURN IT DOWN for TV, and the iHeart Radio recording or something (not necessarily the webcast). I don't know if Ethan did Road To Revolution or not. Another note is that it interestingly says Don fucking Gilmore mixed Wish and One Step Closer from LPU 4. Wow. Perhaps he did the Hip Hop Medley and/or Breaking The Habit on that CD too. I really have no idea who mixed the 2001-2003/2004 stuff. Someone will have to look up each "single" because I'm too lazy. Sources I used for all of this: http://lpcatalog.com http://www.ethanmates.com/Credits.html I don't know if he mixed the Third Encore 2007 songs or not that were released. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9468 Any of the songs on the "singles" were mixed by Pooch/Dylan since they came from the DSP sources.

When was the last time that Chester joined them for a song? -
COG sounds good live to me and I like the song. One of my favorites off of the album...but I don't like many songs on LT. I'd drop it for WTCFM in a heartbeat. How disappointing that WTCFM in Set B was dropped for IMR.
