  1. Yes. We were stating that they didn't play Netherlands from 2001 until 2007, when they played Pinkpop the first time
  2. With the addition of a show in the Philippines, we wanted to create a post about countries that have gone the longest period of time between Linkin Park shows. This is what we came up with: Belgium 2001-2011 (10 years) Malaysia 2003-now (10 years) Mexico 2002-2012 (10 years) Philippines 2004-2013 (9 years) Scotland 2004-now (9 years) Indonesia 2004-2011 (7 years) Netherlands 2001-2007 (6 years) Brazil 2004-2010 (6 years) And of course, there are countries that haven't been fortunate enough to get a show by the band yet, such as India, Lebanon, Vietnam, Serbia, Luxembourg, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, etc. The band is still making its way to new places each touring cycle though: Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and Turkey during the MTM Touring Cycle, Argentina, Chile, United Arab Emirates, and Israel during the ATS Touring Cycle, and Romania and Ukraine so far on the LIVING THINGS Touring Cycle. One thing worth mentioning is that Sweden is the only country in the world that has had MORE canceled shows by Linkin Park than shows PLAYED by Linkin Park. In 2001, 2003 and 2008 they had canceled shows (one each of those years), while the band managed to play the country in 2007 and 2011. Lastly, there are states in the USA that the band has either never played or hasn't been to in a while. Besides Alaska and Hawaii, Linkin Park has never played in Delaware, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wyoming. While Iowa was fortunate enough to get four shows in 2000, one in 2001 and one in 2003 (six in four years), the band has not returned since 2003. Here are a list of those states that haven't had a show in a while: Rhode Island 2001-now (12 years) Alabama 2001-now (12 years) Mississippi 2001-now (12 years) South Carolina 2001-now (12 years) Louisiana 2003-now (10 years) Montana 2003-now (10 years) South Dakota 2003-now (10 years) Idaho 2003-now (10 years) Iowa 2003-now (10 years) Arkansas 2004-now (9 years) Oregon 2004-now (9 years) We hope you enjoyed these stats!
  3. I have a new signature quote now
  4. Ah thanks! Sounds good. We'll update the post when LP confirms it, which I assume will be in the next 12 hours. Wonder what's next.
  5. Linkin Park will be returning to Manila, Philippines on August 13th. This will be the band's second show in the Philippines, with the first coming all the way back on June 15th, 2004 (show page here). The show will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, a brand new venue that opened in 2012. The promoter of the event, Scala Events, has updated their Facebook cover photo to Linkin Park and said a huge announcement is coming May 8th, so the "official announcement" will come tomorrow. LinkinParkPH gets the credit on this one since they've had the info on this show for a while! This show will join the four others already announced on the Asian Tour for LIVING THINGS to bring the tour to five shows right now: 10.08.2013 Tokyo, JP, Summer Sonic 11.08.2013 Osaka, JP, Summer Sonic 13.08.2013 Manila, Philippines, Mall of Asia Arena 15.08.2013 Chek Lap Kok, HK, Asia-World Arena 17.08.2013 Taipei, TW, Taipei Arena What city would you like to see the band add to their Asian Tour next? 5/8 EDIT: Confirmed by Linkin Park: "Linkin Park have added a show in Manila, Philippines on August 13. Pre-sale tickets are available for LPU members starting Friday at LPUnderground.com."
  6. It seemed like we were a zip code away from the show due to the seats in the back being so far away lol. Guess that inhibited my judgment of the show. I was really stoked to see Blackout...first USA summer appearance + it's in the amphitheatre + it rarely got any plays in 2011 in the USA. And also Runaway since I hadn't seen it before. Both were dropped. Eh.
  7. 11 has some gems. Finally the studio version of the Esaul rehearsal from Frat Party. My favorite APFMH demo. Slip and Blue are gold. Full songs around the Hybrid Theory era, not bad. The Meteora stuff was interesting...Broken Foot is heavy as fuck - sounds really similar to Faint structure-wise to me. Imagine those 2 songs back-to-back on Meteora lol. 12 I didn't enjoy much. Probably my least favorite LPU CD out of the good ones (2, 4, 6, 9, X, 11 and 12). People like So Far Away. I had no idea Mike sang that far back. But just soooooo many instrumentals. Obviously my favorites are the full "b-side" quality songs. Across The Line and What We Don't Know. Wow, those both are songs that should have made MTM. Regardless of if you agree with that statement or not, those are both really quality fucking songs. What We Don't Know fits in perfectly. While ATL doesn't fit in that well, it's a bad. ass. song. I'd really like to see 1 other completed song from the Meteora era. I'm sure one exists.
  8. 3, 5, and 7 were silly. TLTGYA on 7 was a good pick (I can vouch since I was at the show) but I don't know about the rest. 2, 4, and 6 had really great material. All 3 of those had exclusive demos/b-sides and excellent live tracks that were unique. Stuff the hardcore fans would want to hear (like RME and High Voltage) instead of general crap like BTH again and again. I was livid about 8 initially, but I think it was just really bad timing. I enjoy it now. Right before 8 launched Shinoda said there would be "new" music on it, so instantly everyone thought a CD like 2, 4 or 6, especially after 7 being all live. What, that was November 2008 right? We had the reports of Mike in the studio in Prague that year, had the statement 8 had new music, and the Asian Tour was just canceled the month before, ending the MTM touring cycle. So the fans exploded due to a combination of all of that. Oh well, lol, what can you do. 9 is my personal favorite. 9, X, 11 and 12 have all had quality material. I wonder what 13 will have. It wouldn't surprise me if they move from demos to something else like remixes for a year or something. We will see. The demos we have gotten have been quality so I'd love for those to continue.
  9. You were in Camden lol, you saw how much better that show was. Wantagh killed Mansfield because Lying From You was tossed in mid-set. Numb in the encore (no pun intended) has to be the worst decision Linkin Park has ever made live. The last about 18+ rows in Mansfield were just dead ass empty. BID -> ITE -> Numb -> BIO is pretty miserable. So many singalongs. TINFOIL -> Faint -> LFY/Papercut -> OSC blows that shit away and ignites the crowd, place really explodes huge. I don't know why LP picks an encore to play like the first one I listed when you can tell Shinoda and co jam about 50x more on the Set B encore. Listen to his commentary on the DSPs of Set B. "GET THE FUCK UP" / "SAY WHAT" / "DROP. THAT. BEAT." Camden really went off. Whole band easily looks like they enjoy that encore a million times more.
  10. Sorry but I disagree completely. At least for the USA, I loved the LT tour wayyyy more than the ATS tour. The setlist on the ATS tour that I saw was decent but it was far from "awesome". In 2012 the band played more of the songs I wanted to hear, packed a way more energized setlist, played amphitheatres versus arenas (they bring it way more in amphitheatres when it's hot here), brought legit production and jammed a lot more. I didn't enjoy the 3rd 2011 show I saw almost at all but the 2012 shows I saw with the exception of Uncasville and maybe Mansfield were just great. Bristow, Wantagh, Camden and Alpharetta all were just fucking fantastic shows. The band looked like they really enjoyed playing those shows. And the V stage was terrible in 2011, lol. The 2012 shows were the best I have seen Linkin Park live since 2009.
  11. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LINKIN-PARK-meteor...=item2c6ea3af15 I don't see them on here.
  12. Yeah there are several confirmations of Meteora remixes existing and the band wanting to release them. I believe a general interview, an LPU chat and a SS03 interview all mention it. I can find sources if you want.
  13. Bump but I don't think this is correct. I know it's on the single but I can't find any studio in Nashville with that name. I think it was recorded at RCA Studio B. I emailed them to see if that is correct.
  14. 10.10.2000 Nashville, TN LP recorded My December on the 9th or 10th of October at RCA Studios in Nashville. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCA_Studio_B I was intrigued because in the Fairfax 2002 recording Chester says they recorded it in Nashville for a Christmas album, and recorded it in a studio Elvis used to record at in Nashville. Mike wrote it in just a few hours. I emailed the studio to see if they can give us an exact date.
  15. It's just some other mixtape track mashed with Frgt10 but it is indeed worth noting it since it's by Chali. "Wretches and Kings (HavocNdeeD Remix) NON Chuck D. Version" I didn't know that existed. Where can that be found? I love that remix. That's probably the best LP remix from the ATS period until now.
  16. Listen to the LA03 recording, it seems like he is taking advantage of screaming wherever possible. Of course that is 10 years ago and I don't expect him to do it today haha, but it's cool to listen to. That's one of the best shows I've heard from the band. "You live what you LEAAAARN" near the end. And screams "pain" or something at the very end. He doesn't scream live much like he used to. At least he does the What I've Done bridge scream, the one on The Catalyst and a few random ones. I wish he'd do the With You and From The Inside ones though. Good stuff for sure.
  17. I actually have no idea what that could be. Great find - no idea how to find what the material was. I've contacted Rockline several times since 2008 hoping to get a 10 Years acoustic song they have that 10 Years performed for them in 2008 but they reply to NOTHING.
  18. Wow, no. Side projects are exactly that...side projects. LP only on the LPU CDs.
  19. I think Shinoda editing it out is the best explanation. This is very unlikely to ever come up but if you played him a recording of the laugh at a M&G on like an iPhone or something and you were able to get him to remember the show, I'm sure he'd tell you he removed it lol. He seems very knowledgeable about the live stuff.
  20. Sadly this doesn't exist. http://lplive.net/interviews/greydazestory.php "> Q: Jonathan Krause has just released the live video of the song called “Smoke Mouth”. We've never heard of it before. Was it recorded in the studio? Sean Dowdell: No, never recorded in the studio." I think this (plus whatever live recordings exist) are the only recordings of the song:
