Sorry for the confusion. It's the LIVING THINGS CD/DVD release, which is 2 discs. The first disc is a CD with the album LIVING THINGS. The second disc is a DVD with the "Live from Berlin" video which we linked to above.

Oh yes. Crowd exploding on LFY...best crowd reaction I've ever seen that song get. Took every single person by surprise even the hardcore fans. So glad I didn't look at the setlist during the Summit earlier in the day. Was it raining on the lawn during the show? It was sunny, then the sun went down and when I walked out the venue I was like "wtf where did all of this water come from?" lol -
Cool show but that's the second live DVD without Points Of Authority haha. Yes I know it was a "bonus" on RTR but still. Too bad it's not the full set. Pretty solid performance by the band for sure. And hey we get Blackout, With You, and BIO/Sabotage. Good stuff. LP brings back Runaway and Points for 2012/2013 -> drop it from the live DVD. Ha.

Same. Yep if they did that it'd be the best of 2012 and 2013 in my opinion. That's a really great set. I still like Set B in Alpharetta (Camden's set but I like the Alpharetta order better) because of WTCFM, VICTIMIZED (w/ QWERTY) and the epic encore of TINFOIL, Faint, LFY/Papercut, OSC. -

Yep! Mikeatron85 and BlackChester have it. 01. A Place For My Head (Long Intro; Ext. Outro) 02. Papercut 03. Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) 04. New Divide 05. With You (2012 Ext. Intro; Ext. Scratch Outro) 06. Somewhere I Belong (2012 Intro) 07. LIES GREED MISERY 08. Points Of Authority 09. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' v2; Wall Of Noise Outro) 10. Breaking The Habit 11. CASTLE OF GLASS 12. LOST IN THE ECHO 13. In The End 14. Numb 15. What I've Done (Piano Intro) 16. BURN IT DOWN 17. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge) 18. Faint (Ext. Outro) 19. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) My favorite setlist of the tour. APFMH and Papercut starting it off. My favorite 2 LP songs. Wow, that's really solid. Faint and OSC closing is fucking great too....I've been a fan of those 2 songs being next to each other since Camden 2008 (http://lplive.net/shows/20080719.php) even though they were reversed. They work in whatever arrangement because both are very kickass tracks. Also like we discussed in the other thread, it seems Festival Set A is a bit longer time-wise than Festival Set B so the inclusion of Papercut should fix that. The Sydney Soundwave show therefore is the shortest show of the tour time-wise most likely, but the POA incident might make it closer than we think. -

Yep Festival Set B with what looks like one small change or something. We'll see. Maybe an order change. However they have gone up in "version numbers" before with no legit changes (see the Camden show page for an example). -
Same here and I don't have an HDTV or a device to play blu-ray either. I still use a DVD player to watch DVDs from Blockbuster and Redbox and have about 30 channels of basic cable TV.

http://lplive.net/personal/mark/LPU/ Here you go, have fun. The PR02 journals are the Q&A stuff released in 2003 I think. Really random lol. I don't know more about the lost videos unfortunately. Some of these files I uploaded like I said are broken, like the 2002 in-studio stuff from Reanimation

No Set C means When They Come For Me is gone. C overall is a better setlist than A because the encore is sick. But this might spell the end of WTCFM live. It's definitely gone for this tour....we'll see if it comes back later this year. Sucks Another non-single to bite the dust. -
Isn't the quality on the LPU the original upload quality? So if you rip it from YouTube it's a lesser quality right? In March 2010 I obtained a huge folder of stuff entitled "LPU"...I really believe it was from Adam but I might be wrong on that. Hard to remember unfortunately. I am uploading everything for you, including the Projekt Revolution 2002 video journals. I honestly and unfortunately don't have the time to go through this and find what has already been listed here and what hasn't been listed. Hopefully someone here has the time to do it. An important note is that the LPU used to have videos in like 2002-2004 that are no longer on the site in any form and some of them are lost forever it seems and/or unknown to us. This list is missing some of them. I'm not sure how we could get those again. SADLY some of the "files" seem to be like a link to an online stream of the file from LPUnderground.com, if that makes sense. And they are gone so some files are really nothing, but that should give you an idea of what is missing that we know of. Link coming in about 30 mins. I'll let you know when it's all completely uploaded.

Muse really exploded with their The Resistance album. That album surely was WAY more successful than A Thousand Suns and LIVING THINGS. I wonder how The 2nd Law did in comparison to LIVING THINGS. Muse certainly has way fucking bigger tours than LP, although LP seems way bigger in Germany where Muse only does 1-2 shows in Germany each tour. That might just be because LP chooses to barely tour anymore though and Muse likes touring. LP in Sunrise and Tampa 2011 brought thousands more than Muse brought a weekend ago to those exact same venues, interestingly enough. Summer Sonic is Japan obviously so it seems Muse might be bigger than LP there now, if they are headlining over LP. I guess they both have their markets and both can easily headline huge international festivals.

Woah I really am positive I made a DSP note of that. And you know what, when the site crashed a month later I bet we lost it. I know for a fact I put a note on that page. I will fix it and put a new one. Thank you very much for the heads up about that. I have been very "on top" of the DSPs since they started in 2007....I have every DSP, know generally what there is to know about them (like Nottingham 2008 is the only one released in 128kbps and not 320kbps....I even bought it again in 2010 when downloads.linkinpark.com launched the older shows and it was still 128kbps...we originally thought Maza_G, the sharer of the DSP, had lowered the quality himself lol). Shows I know of off the top of my head with re-released changes: - Canberra 2010 (New Divide and Crawling re-released with new edits to Chester's vocal part. Pooch even mentioned it on Twitter I believe) - Sunrise 2011 and Tampa 2011 (released with Wisdom, Justice, & Love. Atlanta 2011 (third show of the tour) had it removed. Tampa and Sunrise were later re-released without WJL. I have the shows WITH WJL, I just never bought them to get the version without WJL since it'd be a waste of money really). - Uncasville 2012 (Given Up released with no lead vocals or something, I have the old and new file, and re-released with a fixed Chester) I don't think it has happened more than those two times, at least that we know of. -
I don't see why that wouldn't be allowed, I think it's fine to post download links to LPTVs that are shared for free. Help yourself. Just don't post LPUTV (which is for LPU members only) and don't post the LPTVs from iTunes. The free ones on the LP YouTube channel should be fair game.

I've seen In The End 19 times and A Place For My Head 2 times. My first LP show, sure ITE was cool but after that I was down with them playing something different. APFMH would have been great on PR07 and PR08.

Meteora Booklet Note For "Figure.09": "This song originally had rapping in the verses, then was re-written with singing verses during the the process at NRG The singing part remained until the recording process was finished. Then, while mixing, Brad, Mike, Chester, and Don swapped the rap verses back in, deciding that the rapping made the song more interesting. The rest of the band didn't hear the final version of the song until the entire album was complete."

Surely Festival Set B since A was at the Sidewave. -
On March 1st, Linkin Park plays in Melbourne, Australia at Flemington Racecourse for the sixth show of their New Zealand/Australia Tour. This will be their third Soundwave show of the tour, coming two days after their headline show at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on the 27th of February (show page here). Since the band played a club show in Melbourne in 2001 and played at Rod Laver Arena in 2007 (2 nights), 2010 (2 nights), and 2013, this will only be the third different venue they have played at in the city. However, it will be their seventh show in Melbourne overall. At the last show in Melbourne, LP did something they've never done before - they gave fans at the show a choice between two songs. 'In The End' is normally the second encore song in Set A (whose encore consists of 'BURN IT DOWN', 'In The End', and 'Bleed it Out), but the band asked if the fans wanted to hear 'A Place For My Head' or 'In The End'. From the video, it seems like 'In The End' had the louder crowd reaction and Chester really wanted to play 'A Place For My Head', but whatever the real reason was....the band decided to deviate and play 'A Place For My Head'. Another interesting thing about the show is that Rob's drum solo during the bridge of 'Bleed It Out' returned - something he hasn't done in quite some time. One interesting thing to point out is that there are now three festival shows left on this tour. At the Auckland Summit, there was a picture of "Australia Headline Set B", which was the full Set B but it hasn't been played on this tour yet. It seems possible that that setlist was going to be played in Auckland but the band changed to Set A. Anyway, there are two setlists that they have been playing at Soundwave - Festival Set A and Festival Set B, which are both just abbreviated versions of Set A ('TINFOIL'/'Faint' opening) and Set B ('A Place For My Head' opening). Melbourne likely will get the Festival Set B since Set A was played at its headline show. If you've been away from the site for a day or so, here are several things you might have missed: - We asked fans in a poll whether they'd be ok with 'A Place For My Head' replacing 'In The End' in one setlist. - Former LPL staff member shadowfax1007 posted a recording of the Feb 24 Sydney Soundwave show. - Our 2013 "Live Poll" is going to close after March 4th. Currently, 'P5hng Me A*wy', 'Figure.09' and 'Don't Stay' are the top 3 songs LPLive members want to see played live again. After this show, the band closes the tour with shows in Adelaide on the 2nd and in Perth on the 4th. For the full 2013 tour schedule including setlists from past shows on this tour, click here. SETLIST: 01. Outro) - Festival Set A is a bit longer time-wise than Festival Set B so 'Papercut' was added to this setlist in the #2 spot. Thanks to Mikey and BlackChester for the setlist updates!

2013 Live Poll: What songs do you want to see added to the setlists?

I think Chester wanted to play APFMH pretty badly lol....you can tell by what he's saying. -
I wouldn't legit want In The End gone completely...if they keep it in 1-2 (out of the 3) setlists then it's completely fine. My complaint as a hardcore fan comes into play when these songs are played every single show: In The End, Numb, Crawling (not anymore), New Divide, etc and these songs are neglected: A Place For My Head (not anymore), With You (not anymore), Points Of Authority (not anymore), Figure.09, etc. They've done a lot for the hardcore fans since 2012 and it's very appreciated. Bringing the older songs back was great...the ATS Tour really lacked any older songs that were non-singles.

Actually I do believe Mike is a member here. And staff really has no idea which of the 6,000+ members he is and it is basically impossible to find out. Finding it out would be silly anyway. My opinion (no legit facts to back this up) is that he is a member at LPA and here. What was said at the Summit in London though is interesting to me - Mike said the Lying From You/Leave Out All The Rest additions on that Fall 2010 European Tour were because of what he read here at LPLive by the members. We'll never know for sure but it's cool to think about. I'm sure he saw the poll on Twitter for the older songs, I'm sure he saw us talking about the Set A encore, etc. The guy isn't stupid, he is very in tune with the fans and he cares a lot about his band. Simple facts. I'd be reading the same stuff if I was the machine behind Linkin Park too, wouldn't you? I'd want to know what the hardcore fans are saying online on the fansites. I would guess the APFMH change in Melbourne came because of something someone said to him at the LPU M&G about going to multiple shows but it is possible he read it online and/or also read something on a fansite about people talking about the shows/setlists. -
As biased as I am toward APFMH, I voted for it simply because In The End has been at every show the last 12 years almost. Even though it's the song that got thousands turned on to the band, some songs do get old live if they're played every single night and if you go to multiple shows on a tour you want to see something different. It's great they have given Crawling a break since August 2012 and now they have given In The End a one show rest. Hopefully Numb, New Divide, What I've Done, etc will be next. I love all of the songs but it's great to swap the really big ones out for the others sometimes. In The End was played FIVE times at that venue in Melbourne and SIX times in that city ever. That's a lot. A Place For My Head was played twice in the city and once at that venue. Change it up Muse has started dropping their big singles every show...Plug In Baby....rotating Stockholm Syndrome/New Born and Hysteria/Map Of The Problematique and the fans are fine. The shows are still epic. People bitching about In The End being gone for one show because the band wanted to play a track for the hardcore fans (they know the hardcore fans love APFMH) should stop complaining, seriously. This is why we can't have nice things. The band seems to really think that they should play almost all of their singles every time they go on stage, and now that they are slowly going away from that (which is a good thing because not all their great songs are singles as we all know) we need to encourage it and not hate on it. /2cents

You heard it right - would you rather see A Place For My Head performed or In The End performed at a Linkin Park show? There is a lot of discussion about LP swapping ITE for APFMH in Melbourne. Like it, love it, dislike it, or hate it....vote below! There are two questions here: 1. Which song would you prefer to see live? and 2. Would you be ok if LP dropped In The End in one of the setlists it is in for A Place For My Head?
