At the beginning of Faint, Chester says "pogo pogo pogo pogo".... Years ago I read a thread somewhere that that's from another band in like 2001 who did it on one of their songs? System Of A Down I think? Does anyone remember?

I'm surprised they keep trying to do winter tours.

The band in the USA just doesn't bring the energy like they do in the amphitheatres when it's hot as hell outside. Chester always ends up sick, they cancel stuff, etc. The crowds aren't even as big. I'd like to see them at MSG, sure, but I really enjoy the summer tours a lot more.

I was under the impression those were shipping out last Friday. Maybe it's coming this week?

This is going to be one hell of an expensive trip here. Download one day pass if needed (hopefully I can see all 3 days...A7X and Alter Bridge are amazing)...then Rock im Park 2 day pass at minimum for LP and Metallica. Plus whatever other shows LP does. The problem here is that if they do a smaller show like Berlin, they won't announce it until May. That's what sucks...planning a trip can't even really happen until the last minute due to how they announce their European stuff. About the Download hype - it's the lack of commentary and the general outlook of the band about Hybrid Theory. This band did almost nothing for the 10th anniversary of the album. They played just one song extra, one of their best live songs, and they didn't even keep it around lol. Chester forced the band to drop Runaway in 2012. They showed no interest in playing the mega rare songs recently off of the album, BUT they did bring back With You, POA, and APFMH in 2012. Crawling and Runaway being dropped though are important to mention. I think they like some songs on the CD, sure, I mean it's a great album. But they said they hate the term nu-metal, they don't like being labeled that, they are way past the HT stage, etc. Besides the press when it was first announced, there's been almost nothing about it from the band. Mike said it's unlikely they'll do it again. If they were so stoked about it, why would they do it just once? Why would they exclusively do it one time? Hybrid Theory and Linkin Park were instantly trending on Twitter just after the announcement...the band knows the "want" for them to do it in full everywhere is HUGE. They could sell out an arena tour on any continent by doing that. But yet they seem to not want to. I'm not saying that's bad on their behalf because they're probably sick of those songs and would be miserable playing all 12 every show for a year. It's not a case of FORCING Linkin Park to do it. It's a case of "Oh you won't get to headline here unless you do it, so do it or you can't headline" along with a huge cash offer that's getting them to do it. It isn't like they woke up one day and thought "Let's do this at Download" and then called the promoter. Of course the idea has existed for years but it took BIG MONEY to move them to do it ONCE. This is something that could have been done at SSMF but they didn't. Chester even said they wanted to do ATS in full.

Several shows. Those Projekt Rev makeup shows in 2003 have the bands listed correctly. There's no need for a comprehensive list, in my opinion. We are putting Other Bands for every single show in the live guide if we can find info on it. Even shows with no setlist will have them.

They only did it, it seems, to get the headlining slot at Download and a fuck ton of money. The rumor is that they couldn't headline if they didn't accept the deal to play Hybrid Theory in full. Maybe management made the deal for the band. They don't seem very pleased to do it.... I mean Metallica did the whole Black Album tour across Europe and even some USA shows. I know we can't compare bands but look at how LP has reacted lately. Mike said it's very unlikely they'll do it elsewhere. As Jonas said, they don't seem to be embracing it and being like "fuck yeah! Hybrid Theory in full, finally! Europe, look out, this shit is about to blow your mind!" We know Chester hates Runaway, we know they obviously don't want to play Forgotten and By Myself in recent years.... This seems like a money deal. Not doing it anywhere else sucks pretty bad. lol new setlists mean.... 15+ singles, new songs and maybe Papercut and Crawling. I doubt they keep Forgotten, By Myself, Pushing Me Away, etc. They didn't even keep Reading My Eyes around for more than a few shows.

Hopefully I can plan out a good trip where I can see LP at Download, LP at Rock am Ring, maybe Rock im Park, and a few Metallica performances.

Not at one time. 2001 had 11 of the 12, but that's an ignorant post. The UK has had Hybrid Theory in full too, years ago, if we're going by what you say That's a shame they do it only once in Europe, if that's true. Hopefully the USA can do it but the band doesn't even seem very stoked about it. Damn, I was really hoping it'd be in Germany.

When Reanimation came out and for years afterward they always referred to Reanimation as a legit full album. They are reinterpreted, redone songs with guests. I count that but not RECHARGED. HT, Reani, Meteora, MTM, ATS, LT. Next one will be the seventh for me.

Even over twelve years later, we still find information about the band's shows. Whenever we turn our attention to researching some older stuff, we keep uncovering more and more stuff to add to the guide. As we work on our new version of LPLive, here are just a few examples of things we have run across: - A setlist for 2001.03.13 Berlin when LP opened for the Deftones. - A setlist for 2001.03.09 Wien later in that tour along with the fact that Steven Richards from Taproot joined them on 'Forgotten'. - The 2001.09.19 Milano show on the European Headline Tour was actually a show for MTV Live. - Cancelled/rescheduled shows, such as Little Rock 2002 turning into Memphis 2002 and Albuquerque 2002 turning into Phoenix 2002. Remember, if you have old tickets, setlists, wristbands, posters or passes from shows, send them in!

I talked to LPU about the CD and they said it's definitely good quality. I said the exact same thing and it's more about Dika Toolkit "redesigning" or designing a cool way to deliver a CD versus LPU saying "let's fucking get rid of the jewel cases." I'm a fan of jewel cases too. I think this is more of an art thing. Dika put artwork inside of the CD sleeve too and designed the actual CD, so it all goes together. It's not to get more money. Money-wise, the LPU has never been about turning a profit. Trust me, I had the exact same concerns as you guys and after a lengthy conversation about LPU XIII, I now see it through the eyes of the LPU team with how they wanted to release a product. It's easy to sit here and criticize something but you have to look at both sides of it. Mike wanted to do the eco-friendly thing for a while and they accomplished that with the jersey. LPU brings in very little money in all actuality. It's not about making money, LP and their management seriously could give almost zero fucks about making legit cash out of the LPU'ers. If they wanted to do that, they'd charge $300 to be in the fanclub, cheapen the experience and milk us all. We still have a very cheap fanclub compared to all other bigger bands, and even smaller bands too like 30 Seconds To Mars. The money from the $35 merch bundle goes directly to the cost of manufacturing those items. The money from the laminate/lanyard goes directly to the cost of manufacturing those two items. The $20 LPU membership funds the website and general endeavors of the LPU, like Summits, etc. Yes the Summit costed $50/person. I'm under the impression that they are going to try to lower that for the next Summit, but as of now there are no Summits scheduled. It costs a hell of a lot of money to do a Summit....a ton of shit goes into that as you all know so there's no need to explain that. Point blank, you're still getting a lot for your money with LPU in my opinion. $20 for a M&G, presale tickets and exclusive content is a great deal. Some bands don't even let you have shit signed at their M&Gs and they give you presigned stuff beforehand. It took an explanation but now I understand LPU XIII and the goals behind it.

Remember that A.06 was titled "A.6" then "A-Six" then "A.06" for the LPU CD. And it originally had vocals ("just drag it out, remember" from the Meteora DVD). That's all I know about anything on that CD. The LPU 5 info about QWERTY seems to be wrong as it says the song came from Grecian and the band said at least 3 times (through chats, interviews, videos, forum posts, blog posts, etc) that those are two totally separate songs. Work on Grecian was stopped and they worked on QWERTY instead, which was a song idea by Phoenix. We can post the 11 and 12 info here since those LPU versions are over.

See, I like that. The cheaper price allows you to spend less money and get: M&Gs, presales for GOOD seats (LP makes good seats available to the LPU - always), and laminates for early entry.

I voted for Cumulus. That song is better than all of LIVING THINGS to me.... They abandoned writing such amazing music and it seems on LT they just wanted to write something "different" instead of something with amazing quality. I mean damn, UIB has nothing on any other LP song lol. LGM? C'mon. Cumulus blows that stuff away. Background info I hope is in the LPU package. I actually was discussing this today with Jonas. We found Mike's commentary on the LPU 4 and LPU 11 songs. Is there commentary for LPU 9, LPU X and LPU 12? We can archive it here on LPLive in our new version. A page for that would be very simple to do!
