  1. No way, haha. That'd just be too epic for the fanbase. The online community on the fansites would implode.
  2. I'll do a CD review soon. I wonder if Cumulus has David Campbell strings on it?
  3. Let's do this! Vote for your favorite song!
  4. I don't have one yet so I might be mistaken, but I THINK what it does is allow you to just ACCESS data in the cloud instead of having it transferred. It's like a key to access something. I would imagine with this allowing LP to control exactly what and for how long we see things, we might get clips of songs, videos, etc through this. And that would be badass. Yes the Summit thing is very understandable. From a selfish viewpoint, I was complaining about the price jumping up, but the experience is much more customizable now for fans. I'm sure they will try to make the Summit cheaper than $50 when the next opportunity comes up to have one. There's two ways to look at it. One is the first way I looked at it initially and that's "WTF the price went up, and where's my Summit?" Two is how I look at it now and that's "Well now people can get the exact LPU experience they want, they aren't forced to pay for stuff they aren't going to, and I like how they approached this for this year."
  5. Following LPU XIII's launch yesterday, there have been several changes in how the LP Underground works! The team has been hard at work over the past year to redefine how the community works and how you are engaged with the LPU. I wanted to run through a few of the changes for everyone. First of all, one of the goals with LPU XIII was to make your LP Underground membership as customizable as possible. To become an LPU member now, it is simply just $20 with the digital subscription. That means you can join a thriving community for an amount that is less than and worth much more "value" than other big name artists. With this membership, you can still enter to get a Meet & Greet pass, view LPUTV/LPTV episodes and download them, and get access to pre-sale tickets. The online aspect and M&G aspect doesn't change and is now even more affordable than it was before at only $20/year. With the different package options, LPU is allowing you to "pick and choose" what you want. If you want to just be an online only member and enter to receive a M&G when you are able to see Linkin Park, then that is available to you. If you want to receive a merch bundle, you can add that to your membership. If you don't want the merch and want to enter the shows early with a laminate/lanyard, then you are also able to add that to your membership. With the "ALL IN ONE + CD" package, there is a $13 discount available, making it only $57. For shipping questions.... Shipping is being addressed for international members today since there was a glitch! For USA members, shipping is very affordable in LPU XIII. The merch in LPU XIII is of great quality...the soccer jersey, which has been in the vision of the LPU team for a long time, is now finally available and better yet, it is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Along with Music For Relief and their other endeavors, this shows Linkin Park's commitment to and interest in environmental sustainability. Dika Toolkit, a popular figure in the online community, has designed all of the artwork for LPU XIII, including the new poster. The CD disc and booklet are completely designed with Dika's artwork as well. The PlugAir is one of the newest items to be introduced to the LPU. The idea is that exclusive content can be "pushed" to LPU members "through the cloud" so that they are able to access cool stuff right from their phones. Hypothetically (I'm just guessing at the possibilities), perhaps Mike wants to give an update from the studio - he is able to do it instantly and have it sent right to peoples' phones via PlugAir. Or if the band wants to show a picture or two from the studio, that's all possible with the PlugAir. And it's just for LPU members. The big questions here is "Why are Summits no longer included in the LPU package?" The reason that they are no longer included is because with Summits (depending on the city and venue), only a VERY small fraction of LPU members were able to take advantage of the Summits. Everyone was paying for Summits when only a small amount of members could actually attend. At the same time, this is why the digital membership is now $20 instead of $25 and the lanyard/laminate ($5) can be purchased separately. At festivals (which a lot of international LPU members can only attend due to how the band tours), early entry for LPU is not allowed. Even at some select headlining shows like in New York last summer, the early entry is pointless since the venue is all seated. The goal, like I said, is to make the LPU customizable for everyone. With no Summits coming up anytime soon since Linkin Park is in the studio, it would be pretty pointless to make everyone pay for an included Summit when there logically could even only be one or two from November 2013 to November 2014. With the band's touring not even set for 2014, it's impossible to know the Summit schedule now. This is why the Summit is not included in the LPU packages for LPU XIII. When Summits ARE announced in the future, they will be aimed to be affordable for the LPU fans that are able to go. Hopefully this clears up any questions fans had on the new version of the LP Underground. The team wanted to give a very customizable experience to those fans worldwide since not everyone sees the band live and not everyone can attend a Summit!
  6. Primo, UIB demos, and 1 LPU Sessions song. Ryan Giles song doesn't have vocals. Only one song with Chester on the whole CD I think - Primo. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. Listening to the CD right now and I'll have to say that Basquiat and Cumulus are two of the best instrumentals that we've ever gotten.
  8. Then if you want to go to a Summit, there should be a $61 (or if LPU wants to raise it, anything just under $70 is fine since prices do go up) combo for people. It shouldn't cost over $100 to go to a Summit. The entire incentive in LPUX, LPU11 and LPU12 to get the big package was so you could get the Summit. The merch package should come WITH the online deal for $35 total, not $57. That's what's not making any sense. $35 which doesn't include all sorts stuff that the $28 package (before the Summits were created) included. The prices have gone up absurd amounts for what they are including (almost nothing) is my point. By charging every single thing separately it has really exploded the price. And the quality isn't even there. The CD appears to be in one of those things promo CDs come in...the sleeve. If you hypothetically want the merch, the CD (since the shit is being charged $10 separately now), the lanyard/the laminate (THAT'S being charged separately now too), the online membership, AND a Summit, that's over $100 whereas last year it was $41. Unless they make the Summits $3-10.
  9. Wow I never knew Mike commented on them. Nice find. Who knows how many other good posts of info we lost of his on the LPMB and LPUMB when they switched and lost everything. Really sucks. "This link is actually real...but they're not demos. These are songs I made for linkinpark.com when we released Minutes To Midnight. The first one is actually a really slow, dark improvisation on "What I've Done!" Someone should tell the people on youtube (in the comments or something...link to this post). -m" That's really strange they'd list it on the setlists as the Apaches intro and it really isn't even from that song, as you guys say. I can fix that on all of our show pages, no problem. Even if LP setlists list it as the Apaches Intro, I'll definitely change it so it's accurate lol. I figured out FINALLY what the deal is with the pricing. Every single time I'm logged in and click any of the packages except the $57 one, it tells me to log in and sends me away from the page. Huge huge bug/glitch there. I didn't know anything about the package specifics until I got the LPU XIII email, which took like another 15 minutes to figure out. At first I thought the $35 merch package + $10 CD + $5 lanyard = $50. They are saying the $57 package saves you $13, but my total was $50. NOW they are charging you $20 on top of all of that just to be an LPU member. 1. The old $25 package included LPU membership and that's great. But the old $60 one ALSO included membership. Why does the $35 package not include an online membership? Why do we have to pay an additional $20 for that? 2. Why is the CD and the lanyard not included in the $35 package? Previous LPU's that were $28 included the CD, physical newsletter and all the items that were included w/ the merch PLUS that online membership. By splitting everything up, they are charging an absurd amount to be a member of the LPU. Basically if you want to buy a merch package, you buy the $35 deal which doesn't include the CD, the lanyard, the laminate, OR an online membership, so you have to buy ALL of that separate. $57 combo for that. And the Summits are being charged SEPARATELY, meaning if a Summit is $50 like it was before, then that's $107 for an LPU membership with a package. And let me reiterate that again....no Summit in the $57 deal. Holy cow. You paid $61 ($60 + the $1 CD) for that exact. same. deal. in LPU 12. If Summits are the same price as they were before (GRANTED they don't GO UP in price), that's an increase of $46 for LPU this year, the highest they've ever raised it.
  10. Hey remember the 3 instrumental clips Mike made that were on LP.com in 2007? My files of them are from May 3, 2007. new lp.com clip 1: 2:03 new lp.com clip 2: 1:53 new lp.com clip 3: 1:32 I wonder if those demos had names or not. Clearly they're just pieces he made during the MTM sessions but I like them and it seems a lot of the fans are unaware of them even though they aren't extravagant. It's music though. If anyone wants them I can upload them. I wonder if we've ever heard a clip of any of them in anything else (like in Stagelight, LPTV, etc). Anyway, at that time, those 3 reminded me of what Mike created that went between SOTD/WID. I'm sure that clip on the album was longer and came from a "batch" of these 4+ (probably more) instrumentals he made.
  11. I like the new thread idea. Let's use this. I think Geki is the only one that got what he wanted on LPU 13 right? "04) Holding Company (''Lost In The Echo'' Demo 2011)" was on his list For the next LPU CD, Pictureboard and a full Meteora b-side with vocals (a legit album-worthy song from those sessions). Those are the only 2 things I'm looking for at this point. As much as it'd be awesome to hear The Messenger demo w/ a choir, the My December Team Sleep remix, the Given Up 21 Stitches demo, a When They Come For Me demo, etc....I doubt we'll ever get anything like that. 01. Pictureboard 02. Meteora "thoughts that take away my pride" song / Rob drumming demo from the DVD 03. The Messenger (Demo) (w/ choir) 04. When They Come For Me (Demo) 05. My December (Team Sleep Remix) (since they confirmed they still have it) 06. No Roads Left (Chester's vocals) 07. A Thousand Suns Full B-Side 08. With You (Feat. Ryu) (Reanimation Remix) 09. A6 (with vocals) 10. demo of anything, Don't Stay/Lying From You/From The Inside/Bleed It Out/etc The 3 bolded ones are the ones I really want to hear. The first 2 would just blow the fanbase apart if they released them.
  12. Ah ok. So that really doesn't change at all. They just lowered the price for those who want to opt out of the laminate (which is a waste for them if they live in Alaska and can't get to a show, for example). Cool, I like that. But the merch going up so much is wild to not include a Summit. I could see the entire LPU package (the $60 previous merch package w/ 1 Summit) going to like $68. But not $57 without a Summit, damn.
  13. It's clear to me that the best option going forward is the $20 online membership and then buy a Summit pass. At that point you're just paying to be a "member of the LPU" just to say you are because people like W&K and other sites post the LPUTV episodes instantly on YouTube, etc. The $57 really seems wild. If I recall correctly, they have really jacked the price up. Let's go back a few years. Excuse me if I slightly mess this up.... LPU 9: $28 that included a full merch bundle and a hard copy newsletter mailed to you. Then the newsletters went to PDF. LPUX: Ning took over and fucked up the website, etc. Monthly LPU pass. Plus the $60 Summit + other LP experience pass (light show in LA, etc). LPU 11: $10/monthly, $60/yearly w/ Summit, and $25/yearly online WITH a lanyard/laminate mailed to you so you could get early entry. LPU 12: $25/yearly online and $60/yearly w/ Summit & merch. LPU 13: Now we have $57 for NO Summit and $20/yearly online but NO laminate/lanyard. Apparently that's being sold separately. So online only doesn't get to participate in early entry and stuff anymore? Or M&Gs? Or does the laminate get you in the early entry? I'd check but I am LOGGED IN to the website and every time I click it in the store it sends me to a login screen. Messed up website. Or does the $57 package only get M&Gs and early entry? How much are Summits? $50 still? I doubt they'll be $3, lol. They were $50 additional in previous years. $57+$50 is a LOT of money. It seems like for the actual MERCH package, you are being charged a fuck ton more than before, for products that aren't as good. The AirPlug thing seems pretty pointless. Why is it so expensive?
  14. Wait a minute. Let's discuss this price here. The package was $60 with a Summit and now it's $57 WITHOUT a Summit? Who in the world decided to do that?? How much are the Summits? I sure hope it's $3. The ENTIRE incentive in LPU 12 to get the full $60 membership was the Summit pass because it was really discounted (aka you get way more bang for your buck) if you bought the whole package. Why is it so expensive? If a Summit pass hypothetically is $50, then that's $107 for LPU? Do what? Linkin Park now costs just under $100 to see a show. That's around $200 if you go to a Summit show. Huh.
  15. Yeah man people are exploding lol. Calm down folks, it's up for a year. I promise your shit will get fixed Feel free to review the CD here if you want. No problem.
  16. Lorenzo says there is a trailer for LPU XIII. Does anyone have a link? I'll throw it on the main post if anyone has it.
  17. Guys you've never been able to buy a package and have it come with a digital download. It's always SEPARATE. It has been like that ever since the digital download was introduced. You're trying to tell me you thought the package had the download AND the CD? lol
  18. I think the overall package for 12 is still the best one they've ever released. In the past, they had really shitty items like the shoelaces, lol. The earbud things were eh. I guess it's hard to figure out the cool items to include every year. "LPU XIII Jersey (Available in Men’s and Women’s sizes) LPU PlugAir (Unlock exclusive content via iPhone and Android) LPU / HARD ROCK Poster (created by LPU member Andhika Nugraha)" I like the poster and it's cool they're putting in something designed by an LPU member. According to this site, Dika Toolkit created the poster! The shirt is alright....looks like it was designed by Joe haha. The PlugAir is what doesn't make sense to me. "With the LPU PlugAir, members get direct access to the band by unlocking select content on their iPhone or Android devices. Content includes music, apps, exclusive videos, merchandise, and more." So you save content to your phone. Your phone's speakers pretty much blow and I don't think anyone wants exclusive stuff on their phones when you can get it on your computer. The LPU website could be used, where they could post stuff for download or link to it, but maybe I'm in the minority on that. /2cents

  20. About another hour or so left. So I guess the reason the songs aren't in the BMI database is because this is 2013, it is the technology era, and they are probably under instruction from LP to not put it online until LP says so. LP mgmt isn't stupid and they know the stuff has been leaked in the past. If they can prevent that, they will.
  21. Give it a few hours...
  22. True, I do agree with that. As long as it's before the 19th internationally I guess they'll be fine haha. I never buy the music twice. Usually hear the CD through questionable means and then buy the full package. I think Chesterchaz mentioned something about the quality of the CD being less than lossless or something? Anyone have that quote by him?
  23. Two quick questions as I'm doing 2004 set notes for the next version of the site: Was there any difference between the Gacela of the Dark Death intro for Don't Stay on PR04 versus the International Tour just before that? And... Wish on Projekt Revolution 2004 had a bit shorter of an ending, correct?
  24. I think that's a bit silly when LPU XIII is up for a whole calendar year. Why does it matter when exactly it launches? You can always buy the membership tomorrow, lol. It's not a time-sensitive thing, like a presale. Presales are the only thing I can understand you'd complain about. For example, you wouldn't want a presale at 3:00am for a concert. But with the LPU I don't see why it honestly matters.
  25. Definitely more than that. I'd say 6+. Maybe 8-10.
