  1. Some of the instrumentals have been good. Broken Foot, for example, is heavy as hell. It sounds like the sister song to Faint lol
  2. C. IN MY REMAINS remix I think will appear. I hope we get a full Meteora b-side ("thoughts that take away my pride" demo would be great) and Pictureboard. Or I guess I can go on a small rant again.... The reason LPUX, LPU11 and LPU12 have fallen out of line with people I think is because they have all of these instrumentals/half completed demos watering them down. What about the demos of the album songs like we got on LPU9? Fear, Drawing, Drum Song, A-Six, and Figure.09 are great. Where are the demos of like The Messenger with a choir, Blackout with alternate demo lyrics, etc? I think a lot of people like to see how the album songs come together versus having half completed demos of songs that didn't make it far along in the process.
  3. Wow now this might be the most random thing ever that I have in my email inbox but I have the exact one from the Chorzow show LOL. SergSlim sent it to me when he got his M&G. Sent it to you.
  4. We can update info instantly. There is a list of some good new features we have coming, but I don't want to spoil anything. Structurally we haven't redesigned much because we feel like over the years we have found a good way to display the info. However, we have upgraded a lot of stuff and made some information easier to view/access. We are planning on launching within a few months, so stay tuned. I don't want to spoil anything right now but I do personally think it is a big improvement over this current version. Information-wise, it is MUCH more complete with all of the setlist notes, etc. The opening bands are all fixed, venue websites, venue type, all of that is really looking good. When we upgrade, I will make a post of all the new stuff we are introducing.
  5. We have gotten some awesome submissions so far from this. Wow.
  6. Mike said it is unlikely that they'll play Hybrid Theory in full at other UK arena shows. This can be taken many ways but definitely causes more confusion lol. It's possible they'll play it at other festivals, but it seems like the band doesn't want to do it more than once. And in that case, that really sucks for 99% of the fans.
  7. Hi everyone, LPLive is currently the biggest archive of live-related Linkin Park information on the web. We have data from hundreds of websites across the Internet as well as many fan submissions. These submissions from fans include tickets, show posters, setlists, wristbands, passes, show pictures and more. If it were up to us, we'd have everything from every show archived. However, we don't and that's where we need your help! We have been collecting ticket stubs for quite a few years now, but we have noticed that we are missing MANY of the shows especially from the past few years. A lot of community members have attended these shows, and there really is no reason why we couldn't get a ticket stub image up for almost every show at least from 2007-now. LPL co-founder [AndOne] has created a list of shows that we need tickets for. If you could take the time to glance at the list and if you have attended a Linkin Park show (or several) and could send us scans/pictures of your tickets, that would be greatly appreciated! LPLive will never cease to be around and we always want to be comprehensive website for the band's live shows. We need help from the fans though! With LP taking some time off from touring right now, it is a good time for us to collect more tickets. PROJEKT: TICKET STUB SCANS All shows listed are ones we NEED tickets for, except for the ones that are shaded, which we need UPGRADES for. Images can be emailed to us at pics(at)lplive(dot)net. Thanks!
  8. What's really sad is that there are really fans like that
  9. I am just going to go through and list some songs I think that are easy to figure out. - One Step Closer is about Linkin Park being frustrated and pissed the fuck off because they couldn't nail down Runaway, so they made OSC. They've said this a few times in the past. OSC literally is about the song Runaway lol. Mike in 2008: "This was written in my apartment. The music came together quickly but the lyrics took a few tries. I wrote 'Shut Up' as a rough example for Chester to scream and we kept that lyric. I remember thinking that was a great calling-card song. It said, 'Hello, we are going to crush you.'" More about it from Chester: "When we were recording it, (producer) Don Gilmore was really drilling me and Mike (Shinoda) about lyrics, and it had gotten to the point where we had rewritten some songs 30 times! I remember walking into the control room, handing Don the lyrics and he grabbed them, passed them in front of his face without even looking, handed them back to me, and told me to do it again. I lost my f---ing mind, thinking, 'This guy's a f---ing maniac!' But that kind of inspired the lyrics - 'I cannot take this anymore/I'm saying everything I've said before/ All these words make no sense,' and the chorus, 'Everything you say to me takes me one step closer to the edge.' - it all came from that frustration. So I guess in the end he inspired me the way he wanted to." - Breaking The Habit....Mike: "This was going to be an instrumental track that was 10 minutes long. The guys convinced me to turn it into a full song. I'm proud of this song in a lot of ways. I put a lot of work into it. I just think it's really powerful. Chester's performance is one of his best. Lyrically, it's kind of just about getting away from the parts of you that you do not like. It goes into great deal about that type of situation. The things about our lyrics in general is that we spend so much time on them that there is no way I can tell you in conversation any better than the actual lyrics. If I sit here and think up something, that's an off-the-top-of-my-head summary of what those lyrics are about whereas those lyrics took five years to do. So those lyrics are the most accurate depiction of what that's about, not what I can tell you." - No More Sorrow is 100% about George W Bush. 10 Years wrote a song called Alabama about him too (off topic). Chester dislikes the Republican Party a lot, which he's said before. - Hands Held High is about the Iraqi War. - In Pieces....Chester: "I got divorced recently and that was very difficult. I also got remarried so there was a big contrast in my life. For a while I couldn't be completely happy with the new life I was starting and I couldn't end the last one. This is a song about all of that." - The Little Things Give You Away is about Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans. - A Thousand Suns as a whole is a concept album, but there are more subtle songs in there talking about some other stuff. I mean it all goes together but some songs have stories that are a bit different than the world ending type of shit. - When They Come For Me is about everyone wanting Mike and LP to keep making Hybrid Theory over and over and over and using the same formula for music forever but the band says fuck it, that's not what we are doing. And some people got offended (DJ Lethal? lol) about it..."try to catch up motherfucker". Oh well, Mike's a badass. - Wretches & Kings is about Warner telling LP what to do and LP being their "puppet" but finally being fed up with the shit, as the ATS DVD shows. - The Catalyst seems to be about the world ending...nuclear holocaust or something....turning to God in crazy crazy times (death). Something like that. - The Messenger is a song Chester wrote to his kids about life. - LIES GREED MISERY seems to be VERY against a girl in a relationship, like Mike or Chester (or both) telling her to fuck off. - POWERLESS is about a relationship falling apart. Really sad. The person (Chester) tries to pursue the person after shit falls apart but isn't successful. Powerless. Really a great track. - Not Alone is LP telling Haiti that everyone is thinking about them and that everything is going to be ok. It's about the Haiti crisis. That's all I have for now.
  10. I've never said this before in my life but I'll ban a motherfucker if that was true LOL Wow Justin, POA and FTI are epic. For me right now: (it changes of course) 1. LIES GREED MISERY 2. UNTIL IT BREAKS 3. I'LL BE GONE 4. ROADS UNTRAVELED 5. Nobody's Listening I really hate LIVING THINGS besides CASTLE OF GLASS and POWERLESS lol. VICTIMIZED is ok...it kicks ass live...and SKIN TO BONE could have been a lot better. Great lyrics in that one. Hybrid Theory, Minutes To Midnight and A Thousand Suns start-to-finish have nothing but quality, epic songs. Not a single complaint on anything even though I wish Across The Line and No Roads Left were on MTM. But on Meteora, Nobody's Listening really sticks out. I'm not a fan. I'd love to hear full b-sides for that album....
  11. I agree 100%. I love it when people do this. Maybe we can make more threads about songs I always took it as a very dark song too. The very first time I heard it on MTM, on my first listen, I was blown away by how emotional he made the very first line of the song sound. "My insides all turned to ash, so slow". He sings it in such an emotional/sad way that it's really great. This is one of my favorite songs by the band and upon my first listen of MTM it was probably my favorite or second favorite. The use of metaphors in the lyrics is fucking fantastic and the song is very underrated. I see lots of hate for it, especially around here in 2008 when it started appearing in the summer setlists. I'm bummed it was dropped from Projekt Revolution. Let's get into specifics for a minute, besides just "losing someone". It's weird because he uses "took *them* away", "as *they* put *you* down inside", etc. I really don't know if he's referring to one person facing the effects of others, whether . I think the mystery behind it and it being so dark is why I love it so much and share such a big interest in the song with Geki. But a black wind took *them*. Who is them? Chester obviously is suffering a lot with the lyrics in the first "verse" (I guess that's what you call it) making that apparent. Mega imagery in the second "verse". In the third verse he says "a black wind took YOU away". Now he's referring to one person and initially he was referring to more than one. "They put you down inside" in the fourth verse. Back to "them". Now "you're" gone. And again to one person. It really is a perplexing, awesome song, especially if I have no idea what Chester really is referring to. It seems like such a heartbreaking, sad story. He seems really pained to sing it and puts a lot of that into his voice. All in all just a great song.
  12. Wow, how did I mess that up? Thanks for the correction.
  13. I mean I haven't seen Forgotten, By Myself or Runaway. I was so disappointed when Runaway wasn't in the Mansfield set last year. I saw Pushing Me Away once and Chester looked very bored because he was on the micstand....hopefully this time it's better. Papercut is my favorite Linkin Park song and A Place For My Head has the iconic status for me....aka their best live song they had....so I'll be stoked for literally everything except Crawling and In The End, which I have seen a million times. But hey Hybrid Theory kicks ass. Everything else like Points, With You, OSC, etc are bad fucking ass and rock live. With You in Bristow last year was really awesome. Luckily for you Geki they always play What I've Done In Pieces was great. I haven't seen Valentine's Day unfortunately.
  14. No Cure For The Itch at either of those shows.
  15. Is there a show they've done where they've already played all 12 songs on Hybrid Theory? I don't think that's ever been done.
  16. If they announce a few more European shows with no Hybrid Theory in full, then I will jump on board. I still think it's likely they'll announce that soon.
  17. Jonas found this: http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/news/bl..._medium=twitter The same guy that pitched Hybrid Theory in full did the same with Metallica. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_European_Black_Album_Tour Download was the second to last show and they did it the entire tour.
  18. Things like this are why DSPs from pre-2007 need to be released. That shit was too good to be used at just 6 shows.
  19. Our setlist is wrong. They played the full set. http://mikeshinodaclan.com/gallery/display...p_display_media
  20. They'll play Hybrid Theory in order. 01. Session 02. Faint 03. (New Heavy Song) 04. From The Inside or Lying From You 05. No More Sorrow - 06. Papercut 07. One Step Closer 08. With You 09. Points Of Authority 10. Crawling 11. Runaway 12. By Myself 13. In The End 14. A Place For My Head 15. Forgotten 16. Cure For The Itch 17. Pushing Me Away -------------------------- 18. TINFOIL 19. LOST IN THE ECHO 20. New Song #2 21. New Song #3 22. Bleed It Out
  21. Mike says North America in 2014, Chester says North America in 2015. We'll see who's right. Maybe it's North America starting at the very end of 2014 or something. I think they'll hit the USA though right after Europe. The South Americans seem very tight lipped but very positive the band will return in 2014. They seem to know something lol
  22. Hate to burst your bubble but Story Of The Year started their 10 Year Anniversary Tour for Page Avenue this year and they don't do it in order. It's a big event so I'd say that's definitely one exception to your quote haha. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/story-of-the...l-23c6205f.html http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/story-of-the...x-53c74f51.html If they want to start off with some nasty shit and blow a crowd up, they'll open with Papercut. Metallica did 4 songs before they did the Black Album finish-to-start (backwards) (although I think the first part of the tour had it start-to-finish before they changed it) and then had an encore after it, so who knows what they'll end up doing. I mean I know they are their popular singles and whatnot, but fuck Numb, New Divide, etc...that will kill a vibe from 12 nasty songs instantly in an encore lol; too greedy I guess.
  23. Interesting point from Jonas: LP played only one of these (Download or Rock am Ring/Rock im Park) in 2011 and 2012. The last year they toured that had both (technically all 3) was 2007. And that's a hell of a lot of work for one show.
  24. I am sure MLK, who books LP for a quadzillion big shows in Germany, will try to get them to do it in Germany. That's arguably the best promoter in Europe. Maybe Rock am Ring/Rock im Park, solo shows, or even a short Projekt Revolution run. Metallica's Black Album in full started at just one show, and look how that spread. I'm sure festivals will be throwing cash at the band by the bucket full to do Hybrid Theory in full at other shows. The band has to know everyone and their mother wants to see this lol
  25. Hmm that's interesting that the promoters brought it up to the band and the band agreed. It's good though because I'm surprised they didn't do it for the 10th anniversary tour even though that's when ATS came out. Chester also said at that time that he personally wanted to do ATS start-to-finish on that tour. But with a new album coming out, it's a good time to do it. For every record, they always go out, play mostly singles (plus 1 or 2 others) and new songs on tour to start the new record touring cycle. For once they'll change it up, play Hybrid Theory in full and roll with that. Definitely 2-3 new songs will be in the setlist, so that only leaves 8-9 spots for other songs, which I assume will be all singles unfortunately lol. Chester really brings up some cool stuff about the songs. Points does get a really great crowd reaction and that was my opinion on the Honda Civic Tour about the song. They wanted to give Crawling a break, that's understandable. lol he didn't say he hates Runaway but that's a known fact. He did said they want to play Hybrid Theory beginning-to-end, meaning I doubt they'll mix it up. I bet they'll do the whole CD, like 8 more songs, and a 3~ song encore. Now I'm sure all of the other promoters of festivals will approach LP to do this at their festivals too. And I'm sure that's hard to turn down haha...I'd guess they'll do it at the other festivals too. Definitely it started out as a one show type of thing but I bet they're about to announce it for other shows too. The songs are all rehearsed up at that point so why not?
