Today, a sad, sad realization has come upon us here at LPLive.... 'P5hng Me A*wy' was last performed live by the band TEN years ago! The song was debuted on April 9, 2003 in University Park, PA at the opening show of Projekt Revolution 2003 with 'Nobody's Listening' (show page here). It remained in the setlist for that tour, Summer Sanitarium 2003, the band's international shows in Europe, Australia, and Asia in 2003 and the Meteora World Tour in North America in 2004. In fact, we can only count a few shows in 2003 after it debuted where it wasn't played (Smokeout 2003 + the five December radio shows)! There was a rumor that the song made a one-off comeback in Hong Kong in June 2004 (show page here), but this has never been confirmed. The last show the song was played at was the band's rescheduled show at the end of the Meteora World Tour in Inglewood, CA in 2004 (show page here). The song has a placement about midway down the list in the 'Waiting To Be Liberated' list and in our 2013 poll, the song was the SECOND most requested song for the band to bring back to the live setlists, after 'Figure.09'. It's no secret that the band nailed the remix version of the song live; maybe one day we'll be lucky enough to see them play it again!

Great catch. Fixed it in 5.0. -
No, not at all. I think LT songs are done, no chance now to debut any of them. With how the band does the setlists, no way they take the time to rehearse unplayed LT songs when they have to do the new album + Hybrid Theory rehearsals. They took 2 weeks to rehearse CASTLE OF GLASS in 2012, and they STILL rehearse that a year later in early 2014 before the shows. I guess I'm the only person that thinks ALTNC will be at every show of 2014. As much as I don't want it to be, I bet they play it live. It only had one play in January 2014.

The three most common LP songs on the radio here in Georgia before Project 96.1 and 99X both went offline were New Divide, One Step Closer and Lying From You.

FYI in case anyone wanted to know, I got confirmation from mgmt today that all the Rob accounts were fake. I think we already guessed that but it's confirmed now. Rob has no online presence.

"Guilty All The Same" - New Linkin Park Single!

If the band scrapped the demos recently and came up with all of this new music so suddenly.... then what in the heck have they been doing in the studio on and off since September 2012? Waste of time? -
I hope the music still comes out somehow....

They did just as much of Attack as they did The Kill when I saw them in December. All acoustic though.

If Macklemore was on the bridge the shit would ROLL lol -
Forgot to mention Given Up in my post. It really thrashes his voice, even if it's the second song in the setlist like Camden. I think it'll maybe stick around for Europe but be gone by Carnivores Tour. I'd really like No More Sorrow with the long intro back in there in place of it. As much as I want Numb, Breaking The Habit and In The End, dropped, it's not going to happen haha. I'll stay realistic for 2014 and know that Reading My Eyes won't be played, Forgotten, By Myself and Runaway (all 3 I haven't seen off the album) will probably be dropped for Carnivores, etc.

After the Carnivores Tour was announced, the reaction across the world was really huge, with fans requesting the tour in Europe, Latin America, South America and more. #CarnivoresTourInMexico is one of the hashtags that really took off and was trending recently in Mexico, home to a very passionate and hardcore Linkin Park fanbase. Hybrid Soldiers Mexico has started a huge campaign to get the tour brought to Mexico and Warner Mexico has even joined in. The Warner account has started tweeting the hashtag and dropping hints about the tour. Will LP take it to Mexico? The band's first shows since 2002 (when they opened for Korn) in Mexico took place just after the 2012 Honda Civic Tour, over ten years later. They headlined Monterrey (for MTV World Stage + their first headlining show in the country ever) and Mexico City and completely packed out both shows....with arguably the best 'A Place For My Head' of the LIVING THINGS touring cycle happening in Monterrey: On the Carnivores Tour, there is a five day gap between Clarkston, MI and Woodlands, TX... Could the band return for two shows in Mexico again? Or if the touring cycle ends up being similar to what they did for LIVING THINGS, could they possibly tack on a few shows in Mexico at the end of the tour before they head to South America? For LP news in Mexico...follow Linkin Park Mexico and Hybrid Soldiers!

With how much 30STM uses drums in their show, the band coming out on WTCFM to do drums would be epic lol

Great post. I agree with you on most everything. I think they will surprise us with the return of No More Sorrow, Figure.09 or Don't Stay since they are both high-energy songs. Maybe From The Inside will stay around too. I see BTH and Numb both staying sadly. Just one song from ATS too. But I do think they'll keep a LOT of Hybrid Theory!

They played The Catalyst abbreviated, so it wouldn't surprise me if they abbreviated this song for TV. -
We do. Tokyo and Jimmy Kimmel. The LA performance will be in 5.0 on the Guesting page, we have a specific area just for it.

I'm talking about taking either the same take of the vocal and layering or different takes and layering it. Like 3+ vocal tracks. This sounds like just 1 by him. Listen to their acapellas, you'll see what I mean. -
Part Of Me: http://lptimes.com/article/Shoutweb_1000.html Shoutweb: I don't like to give kids the same thing that they can read somewhere else. I mean, what's the point then? Anyway, tell me about the songs that I love then. "Crawling" is awesome. I love that song! Mike: The chorus melody for "Crawling" was originally the bridge of a song that sucked that we wrote. That other song we didn't like and we weren't going to use it so we had this melody. It just occured to me to take this melody that I liked and to write music around it. I did that and then Brad came in and added a little more and helped me out with it. Chester wrote some new words. Everybody worked around it. Every time we write a song it starts from something different. I wrote a song from a sample that Brad collected of a car alarm. He got woken up or something to a car alarm from a garage in the parking lot underneath his apartment. He recorded it. I sampled it. I looped it. He wrote a guitar part to it and we wrote a song around it. That was an older song of ours that is not on the album. Shoutweb: What was the title of that song? Mike: That was called "Part of Me". It was part of an EP that we put out with a baby on the cover. That was a little project we put together when Chester first came to California. It was the first time we were in the studio. Actually it was with Mudrock who did Godsmack's tracks. He was someone we had met who was really nice and we could do something for a small amount of money.

Is the reason Chester sounds so off to us because we are so used to his voice having 450 layers of autotune over it (see: New Divide) and this is raw? Do we even really know what Chester really sounds like on a studio song without HUGE editing and processing? LOL -

Is this seriously the same band that made LIVING THINGS? What the fuck. I mean this makes LIVING THINGS look like a demo from an unsigned band in 1983 lol. The setlists will flow so much better with songs like this...etc. This is a great change for them. Chester sounds off. Needs some screaming at the end but it's not BAD. Very beginning of the intro is odd to me too, like Astat said. The part after the very beginning when the piano comes in is A++++. Much better than BID and all that crap. I'm impressed they stepped it up. Rakim's rap is filthy. Great stuff. Shinoda will do it live I'm sure. The outro is really great. Can't wait to hear the album.
