Best amphitheatres I have been to (in order): West Palm Beach FL Bristow VA Woodlands TX Alpharetta GA WPB open air in the summer time, on the lawn, is really amazing. Check out the insane sunset before 2 nights of Dave Matthews Band there last summer: http://instagram.com/p/cKirwriXo4/ Can't wait to go back there this summer (to see DMB and then hopefully LP). LP would be dumb not to play there...they packed the fucking place for PR08. Bristow open air and loud sound is A+, Woodlands is truly a spectacular venue located in a GREAT area. Their side stage there is even fantastic. Alpharetta is finally a nice venue in ATL. Love it a lot. Are you kidding me? Mars has never even done a USA amphitheatre tour LOL. The only legit huge venue they've played in the USA is the Hollywood Bowl and that's because it's LA - any large band can do really well there. I believe in 2011 they did play Camden and like one other good amphitheatre but that's it. LP has been doing this for 10 years. No chance 30STM co-headlines.
-
Wow already a huge gap between these two shows - can't wait to see where else they'll play. I wonder if it's all getting announced tomorrow?
-
Thanks for the AFI and Bristow info! Added it! So those will be the bands. I'm glad the dates are slowly coming in.
-
That appears to be a fanmade poster. No way that's legit. LP is way bigger than 30STM here. 30STM plays like, 2k venues and stuff.
-
It happens, a few dates always leak every year. I wonder when the band will announce the tour. This week or later in March?
-
With the Woodlands date leaking, I bet it has something to do with that.
-
We are expecting an announcement of a summer tour for the band sometime soon, as rumors about their tour with 30 Seconds To Mars continue to circle around the web. It is all but confirmed by LP.com that the LP/30STM tour will kick off in August (according to Chester at the Club Nokia show in January) and last about a month. The first date has leaked and it is for Woodlands, Texas on September 5th. Linkin Park has confirmed their summer tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and AFI, kicking off on August 8th in West Palm Beach, Florida. They will be selling premium tickets to these shows (more information here). THE CARNIVORES TOUR 08.08.2014 West Palm Beach, FL, Cruzan Amphitheatre 09.08.2014 Tampa, FL, George M. No way they skip Massachusetts in my opinion since Boston is such a huge market. But it's possible. We'll know soon I guess, if they really announce a tour this week. I'll go to whatever, I like checking out new venues. Two NY shows would be great.
-
I definitely think it'll be something like this: (?'s are ones they've done before that they could easily do again but it depends on how big they want to do the tour) Toronto Montreal (looks to be some outdoor park so not an amphitheatre) Wantagh Buffalo (Darien Center) Mansfield Camden Burgettstown Hartford Holmdel ? Bristow Virginia Beach ? Charlotte ? Atlanta / Alpharetta West Palm Beach Tampa Cincinnati Tinley Park Noblesville Clarkston Maryland Heights ? (or Cuyahoga Falls ?) Houston Dallas Phoenix Englewood Irvine ? (some LA area show) Mountain View Chula Vista These are the big markets for them. Florida I'm sure will be there since it was excluded from HCT. Hartford in place of Uncasville. Burgettstown since it was on HCT but dropped for Alpharetta. Added Holmdel, VA Beach, etc. I put in two New York shows this time. I don't see much else they'd do, but maybe Bonner Springs, another Texas show, East Troy, Albuquerque, Columbus. Or maybe try a venue they haven't played at before like Salt Lake City or something.
-
With their first USA tour in two years, they'll definitely hit 1-2 NY shows, etc. I'm sure Mansfield, Wantagh, Camden again.
-
The clouds are the same thing from the 30STM website too.
-
30 Seconds To Mars + LP is what the rumors are saying...I've seen a lot of stuff in the past 2-3 about it....
-
I think this is just the beginning of the week and just the beginning of stuff to come.
-
A city tours are tours that hit the largest markets in the country. LA, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, Houston, Dallas, (maybe Atlanta). B city tours are tours that hit venues/cities that are a bit smaller. Nashville, etc. Projekt Revolution 2003 was almost exclusively a B city tour. South Dakota, Idaho and stuff. Winter 2008 Tour was a mix of both, but mainly a B city tour. Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, etc. Honda Civic Tour 2012 was almost entirely an A city tour. Anyway for 2014, Buffalo and Houston have rumors out about a tour. Chester said August for a tour.
-
Buffalo will really play into what Shinoda said about a B city tour. Not bad.
-
Not kidding here when I say that 30STM opening for STP in Jax was terrible. Front row too. One of the biggest let downs I've seen live and I've seen a LOT of shows (check my setlist.fm account). Really a disaster live....he doesn't sing at least 60% of the setlist and acts like a total diva on stage. Not a fan of that at all and their show was pathetic to me but if that's your thing, so be it. I will definitely not be watching them if they ever tour with LP. I like their studio material a good bit (they have some solid work) but I have no idea why Jared or the band can't produce a good live show.

LP headlining Download Festival 2014 & playing HT in full
hahninator replied to lerkid's topic in Newswire
I find it interesting Download has shaped up to be the last show of the tour right now instead of near the beginning. With the band rehearsing in early April (much earlier than normal), they'll have about 6-7 weeks of rehearsing before they head to Europe. Then they have two full weeks of no Hybrid Theory before they take the stage at Download. I wonder if they'll have the album finished in the next 5~ weeks before they start rehearsals. This is going to be an interesting (but short) Euro Tour. Will they work on the album after Europe? -
Remember that labels leak things intentionally to up the hype with hardcore fans and to get people talking about the new record, aka to increase first week sales. It's been done a lot in the past decade. No idea if it's been done with LP or not but it does indeed happen and it's a "marketing" technique.... I bought Meteora the day it came out and I actually don't remember if that leaked or not since I was 11 years old, but that was the only album I heard in full the first listen before a leak (after HT and Reanimation). Collision Course leaked and I grabbed that...and the live stuff was on MTV.com and we guessed the URLs way before that came out (they posted like a Jigga What/Faint clip and we guessed URLs for the rest of the live audio....). Every CD from CC to now has leaked, but LIVING THINGS is the only one I waited to have the physical copy for to listen to. I'll wait for the new CD too.
-
June 12th for this show, which doesn't come as a surprise considering they'd probably take a day off before Download's HT in full anyway. Source: http://www.greenfieldfestival.ch/index.php?id=7

Just some recent publications, not about LP6 though
hahninator replied to ThePretender's topic in Everything Linkin Park
Yeah wow what a clown. "‘With You’, is underrated, yet it’s one of the few songs from Hybrid Theory the band has continued to perform live. ‘Points of Authority’, ‘Crawling’ and ‘Runaway’ are slightly softer tracks which fit seamlessly together" Yeah despite the fact With You wasn't played for six years! LOL POA and Runaway are softer? Wtf. "will be interesting to witness the crowd exodus after ‘Pushing Me Away’ to go catch other bands; Linkin Park will undoubtedly move straight into their less popular new material after playing Hybrid Theory." Haha. He acts if the album order is going to be how they play it. I hope they do it last just to mess with people. What a misleading statement too....Meteora was HUGE. MTM was really big too. He acts like they fell off the face of the earth after HT. -
A few of small things have been popping up across the web that are related to Linkin Park and new material. On February 22nd, Mike posted a picture of Andy Wallace (Hybrid Theory, Meteora) mixing with the band. Ghost Town just mentioned in their latest interview that they are "collaborating with Linkin Park on upcoming projects". In regards to a new song....member matttheskwirl14 posted, "My local radio station (103.3 the edge) here in Buffalo NY, just said they will have new Linkin Park to play later in the week. They said it right after they played "In The End"." He provided another update today saying, "The Dj I was talking about (twitter @jamesradio) was talking to a guy on twitter about the "new Linkin Park". He said this on the air. "It's done. There is a single and it exists. They're just waiting for the green light to send it on out. And then we can play new Linkin Park for you which is very exciting news."" The DJ from WEDG in Buffalo tweeted.... "Single was supposed to come first week in Feb. It had been pushed back. Friends at management/label. (source) Rumor at this point. But told it may come by Thursday." Rumors always start flying around before music is ready to come out, but hey, at least the band is being mentioned by label insiders and music is on the horizon. Hopefully the single comes soon.

FYI the cracking/static during 'And One' and after it is a venue PA/band technical problem. It's not from the gear the taper used. ITE starts off a little quieter but the volume of the show goes back up mid-song. This is a top 3 show from 2001 for me. Band sounds really great.

Following a few cancellations to start the tour, Linkin Park's 2001 European Headline Tour hit Manchester, UK for their second show (coming after Berlin). This was the day before they took the stage at the Docklands Arena in London, headlining their biggest-ever show at the time. Felipe, a long time contributor to the community, has received an upgrade for the Manchester audio and has uploaded the lossless (previously uncirculated) to DIME. This is a welcome upgrade of a great show from the time period! Linkin Park had already performed at this venue twice in 2001 with the Deftones in March. The second show of that tour had a pretty different setlist at the time (opening with 'A Place For My Head' and featuring 'High Voltage') and was the only venue to ever have the band play there THREE times in 2001. SETLIST: 01. With You 02. Runaway 03. Papercut 04. By Myself 05. Points Of Authority 06. High Voltage 07. Pushing Me Away 08. And One 09. In The End 10. A Place For My Head 11. Forgotten 12. Crawling ---------------------------------------------------- 13. My December 14. Step Up 15. One Step Closer Looking into this show.... the band at the time was testing out several different setlist variations and was likely trying to figure out what version of the set to use for their Docklands show, which was filmed for a DVD (no word on why that never was officially released). After this show, the band dropped 'By Myself' to the encore, put in 'Forgotten' mid-set and completely got rid of 'Step Up'. 'Step Up' returned AFTER Docklands, meaning it probably was excluded just from the DVD show (similar to the band dropping 'Reading My Eyes' from the Milton Keynes 2008 show for Road To Revolution). 'Step Up' received its live debut two shows prior in Berlin (first show of the tour). The BBC Maida Vale show in London didn't feature it (due to a shortened setlist) so this Manchester show is only the second time it was ever played! It was also a good time to "warm up" 'My December', which hadn't been played in nine months (KROQ AAC 2000), so this is the first performance of the song since then! Some highlights besides what was mentioned above: Mike stops 'A Place For My Head' after the intro to give a speech about the rowdy crowd, they talk a lot between the songs including about 'And One', etc. The band also mentions the Deftones shows from the venue earlier in the year. FLAC Audio (DIME) | DOWNLOAD Show page Thanks to Felipe for the upgrade! Enjoy!

And the Sunrise soundcheck I need to get my pics from Mary Ann and I'll post some of him using it. They ran through the fucking song like 12 times lol

Astat has the info but isn't posting about it until they want it to be known I guess....
