  1. I feel that it suffers from the same problems Living things does. It sounds too polished, too over produced. Everyone was expecting OOA to have this hard grit and rawness to it before it came out as it was inspired by many classic rock albums of the 80s and 90s. Instead the guys from Julien K tinkerd with it a bit too much with their electronics and synths and drowned out some of the hard rock edge this album orginally intended to have. Don't get me wrong, I love the album more than most, but I guarantee if Chester had done this route DBS would have gone down with the fan base even better than it did in the end .
  2. Awesome. I always wondered what they were.
  3. Yeah technically if they want to remaster and release the reminding HT demos, all they have left are: Crawling, By Myself, Carousel, Part of me. (And obviously any other HT demos like Slip/Blue/so far away that we don't know about). I'm betting we get at least one more HT demo on each release until they run out. But Of course they could do MMM...COOKIES II and troll us all
  4. Wait, is that chlöe Grace Moretz!? (between mike and Chester obvs )
  5. Ah man. I really don't know what to think about this. Who's in the wrong here? It sounds like both sides are pointing to the finger to each other. I mean at first that letter made me feel very simpithetic with the manager. But after reading Ryan's comments I'm more on the fence again. But the whole "refunding" thing pisses me off. Ryan didn't even mention that. I'm so glad I never preordered anything cause who knows if we'd every get our money back. And also what the hell is the big deal in releasing live tracks anyway? Even if they've postponed it until after LA Noir that's better than what they're doing now. That's my 2 cents
  6. APFMH, NMS, WTCFM, Victimzed/QWERTY. There some of my absolute favourites and coincidently all kickass live. All have intense energy, heavy and visceral enough for THP tour especially. Dammit LP. Drop Burn it down, the balad medley, already and play these instead I'd even be ok if they dropped songs like Given Up and Points of authority. I love them too, but if feel they've had a good run so far.
  7. Even if they put KTTK, Rebellion, MTG and ALITS on rotation that's better than nothing.
  8. Man I wish LP would play THP live back to back. Even if it's just once
  9. I still hope beyond hope they release the making of THP. Even if we all have to pay for another special edition of the album or an iTunes exclusive, at least it'll be out there.
  10. 01. She couldn't Such an introvert and calm song. The lyrics hit home for me. So Refreshing for an LP demo from this time period. The guitar part is gorgeous. And the way the song builds at the end . 02. Papercut (ending) It's a classic, but that ending makes the song for me. The way the songs key changes in the bridge carrying it to the end with those simplistic yet unforgettable lyrics. "the sun goes down.... I feel the light betray me." For album opener, it feels so final in resolution. 03. No roads Left Mikes singing and Dave Campbell's strings in this are the particularly reason why this song is so powerful for me. Especially the way the strings/drum kick in on the second chorus. Carrying the song to its end ( much like Papercut) "I ruuuuuuunnnnn...." Incredibly epic. Such a huge sound. 04. Not Alone It's the reversed strings in the bridge/end of the song. Such an emotional sound. I can't put my figure as to why. 05. The Requiem/The radiance Pure goosebumps here. So dark an ominous. Mikes feminine vox give it such haunting vibe. I love listening to this on on a dark night the way home. Perfect nighttime mood . 06. Fallout/The Catalyst In some ways. Continues with what the Requiem started. Incredibly dark and moody thanks to that Low end synth. The catalyst just builds on it, to almost a crescendo. 07. Until I breaks (ending) Almost like a lullaby. The way brad sings. Fading out into a dream almost. I love how you can hear a funfair/seaside at the songs outro takes me back to my childhood. 08. A Line in the sand What is there to say that isn't already said? Mikes intro/verses/ ending. Such a haunting soundscape. Cheaters parts and brad riffing are incredibly triumphant.
  11. It boggles my mind that the band hasn't used "The Summoning" as a set opener yet. It's too perfect not to be one. And would work tones better as an opener than the Catalyst bridge for the carnivores tour.
  12. Considering the band has 6 full length albums now I reckon the amount of songs performed live will be the same from now on. The band has too much material these days and aren't brave enough to drop half the singles in the live shows sadly
  13. Is HT live at Download available yet? Excuse my ignorance but if felt like such a big deal when it was announced, and now nothing.... Or is it only available to those who preordered? I'm at a loss here. It seems suspiciously quiet at the Lp camp.
  14. No, But Astat's guitar tabs are pretty much my bible when it comes to learning how to play LP songs B ) Ah yes this is it! cheers for the link. Do you think it would be possible if i could help colaborate with this google doc? I'm not good with tempos but I'd love to add all the missing song "Key" info and at a guitar tuning collum.
  15. Hey guys, I remember finding a google doc here I think not that long ago that basically listed nearly every LP song with it key/tempo/tuning etc. I found it really interesting and I thought it would be a good thing to keep going and contribute too. Anyone know who made it?
  16. It could be one of the following: 1) "The Mall" complete soundtrack (but would they really release it before the film was out?) 2) "Hybrid Theory" Live @ Download full show/proshot + audio 3) "The Hunting party" Instrumentals & accapellas 4) "The hunting party" b-sides (though they'll probably save these for LPU XIV)
  17. Nice. Thats quite an interesting interview! LGM & Victimized really are "stepping stones" to many of the songs on THP.
  18. Uhhh the rhythm guitar parts for Faint and From The inside are almost identical. True it's not as in-your-face as GATS/ALITS but musically a lot more similar. There's a few others too that I know I'm forgetting.
  19. Really interesting stuff. UIG is certainly the "What I've done" of this album. If not more so.
  20. Really? Was that all? Goddamit. I wish they broadcast the full performance like the BBC did for all the Glastonbury headliners AND support bands. To think they filmed it all yet not released it. We better be getting a DVD for this soon...
  21. But why remove The Requiem? not that it would have won anyway, but still
