^ I agree. WAK sounds nothing like RATM. Nine Inch Nails and Public Enemy popped into my mind there, but there was never a moment where I thought it sounded like RATM.

While they are mainstream, I totally agree on the sellouts part of your statement.

I've been trying to tell my friend that for three years now. In the minds of the stubborn "old-school" LP fans, Minutes to Midnight will always be a "sell-out, mainstream" record, and Hybrid Theory (which went Diamond) and Meteora (7x Platinum, I believe) were not mainstream.

I'm sure we'll be getting it earlier since world-wide stores are selling it on Friday. I had held to my guess of today for a while, but it seems like it's not happening. Oh well, only a little bit longer now regardless.

I still believe that Blackout is going to be one of the standout tracks.

I don't like covers that are extremely close to the original. I didn't really care for this.

When They Come For Me, Blackout, and Jornada Del Muerto sound the best among the songs we haven't heard yet.

It says on the side of the page that the album will be available on September 14, 2010. When Amazon had Korn III listed, it also had the "Original Release Date" six days before the release but on the side it said the actual release (July 13, if I remember correctly). They didn't release Korn III on July 7th. They're not releasing A Thousand Suns on the September 8th. Edit: Though I would love to be proven wrong.

Thought the same thing the first time I heard it.

Last time I entered an LP-related contest, I won (ticket for that movie theater show). I'm hoping that there is a similar outcome here.
