  1. I've been saying for a while now that I would love for them to do one more album "with" Chester by creating an album using unfinished demos that Chester recorded vocals for. It would be a nice way to close that chapter of Linkin Park.
  2. This is exactly what I’m assuming it is. Unless the reason Mike pushed out the last few Already Over sessions in quick succession is because there was a development in the Linkin Park world, I don’t see this being part of any sort of significant project.
  3. Fingers crossed this is true. I'm always down for more Linkin Park.
  4. I loved the extra embellishments added by the pianist and guitarist here. I wish more of the versions of AO were like this and Berlin. Let the guests make an impression on the song.
  5. I'm also disappointed that Mike's mic was so low in the mix. I love Fall Out Boy so seeing Mike on stage with them is really cool.
  6. I would argue that even OML has some of that LP sound to it. Nobody Can Save Me, Talking To Myself, and Invisible feel very Linkin Park-ish to me. And I think that extends to Mike’s solo stuff too. Happy Endings, Promises I Can’t Keep, Already Over, and In My Head have some major Linkin Park vibes in my opinion.
  7. > Mike since 2017 is attracted to every trend. This has been Linkin Park the entire time. Hybrid Theory/Meteora - Rap Rock/Nu-Metal in the early 2000s Minutes to Midnight - emo-tinged pop rock while bands like MCR and FOB were huge A Thousand Suns - electronica-infused rock music Living Things - more electronic, dubstep elements The Hunting Party - the only album that doesn't follow a current trend One More Light - straight pop with a little bit of rock influence, though it did kinda feel like a pop album that hit two years too late Don't get me wrong, I do absolutely love Linkin Park. But they've been trendchasers since the beginning. The big thing that sets LP apart from the trends they're chasing is that they usually put a unique spin on it or combine things in unique ways.
  8. This is probably my favorite performance of Already Over. I will admit that I was a little disappointed at the lack of Linkin Park song for the second half but In My Head sounded great. Overall, this is my second favorite behind the first performance. Great work, Berlin!
  9. I liked everything except the one singer. Her voice just didn't work with either song. It was emotional hearing Mike sing Chester's part in COG. I think we need a Mike tour badly.
  10. Did Mike actually mention Closer To God as an inspiration for Crimson Chapter? That’s pretty cool because it’s the first thing I thought of when I first saw the track list.
  11. I think you're right - Mike doesn't know what he wants to do with his solo career. That's why he's doing stuff like the EP and these studio sessions. It's experimentation to see what he wants to do.
  12. It would be super cool if we got different Linkin Park songs with each of these AO sessions.
  13. We have no idea if the rest of the band even WANTS to do anything at this point. Mike obviously wants to keep making music, and he's done a ton of it in the past six years. The rest of the band has done next to nothing in that time.
  14. A lot of these remixes are giving me NIN vibes. This EP was great.
  15. Yay! I've been hoping to hear the full thing for a while. Chester always nails this type of music.
  16. I love that Fort Minor remix. Looking forward to what else is on there. If the rest of the remixes are of the same caliber, it's gonna be great regardless of the fact it's mostly just version of Already Over.
  17. Welcome being included on a Rising Tied reissue seems odd.
  18. If this is what Mike Shinoda & Friends ends up being, then that's cool. Personally, I was hoping some of the "friends" would be other members of Linkin Park.
  19. Well that's the most Linkin Park thing Mike has released as a solo artist outside of Promises I Can't Keep.
  20. I wonder if this "Mike Shinoda and Friends" thing is related to the new stuff he's teasing lately.
  21. I'm very excited to see what Mike has in store for us. A little bummed though because this means any Linkin Park activity is once again not happening for a while.
  22. When was the last time he mentioned anything about that? I remember hearing months ago that we'd be getting everything in the coming months and we've so far had nothing.
