I tried one program. All I got was static.

Maybe the reason it's translating as a bunch of different languages is because it isn't really mean't to be translated to text? I don't know, but the similarities between that person's answer and the "messages" Mike has been giving us struck me right away. I think I'm going to try what that person said. I just need to convert the gif layers into bit maps I guess.

If by backwards, they mean translating the binary backwards, I tried that. It doesn't work.

Since the album seems most likely to be coming in September (before the tour begins), and seeing how conceptual LP is being with this next album as well as upgrading their live show, I'm actually going to guess now that the setlist is completely dominated by new material.

I love In Between. As for Blackbirds, I liked it, but at the same time an album full of songs like Blackbirds would be very sub-par. Not a whole lot of substance to the song.

...Maybe these messages do mean nothing? Maybe they're kind of a diversion so that we miss the real info somewhere else? Or maybe he's just teasing us for taking the messages too seriously, even though they do mean something. Gah.

Yeah, he says the song that's going to be the lead single, at it's full length, sounds almost proggy. But still, this album isn't going to be bi-polar like MTM where every track is a very different style from each other.

I think that's reading too much into it. If it was wrong I don't think he would have called it a gem, or even posted it at all.

I think his descriptions are better than people give them credit for. He called MTM "dark, poppy and melodic." All correct.

Meh. I guess all there is Chester's word that it's heavy. The "without metal" part seems to mean it's more electronic.

LP doesn't really have any good examples of heavy electronic (yet).

That song in no way has an electronic or progressive sound. Just because a song has a synth part or a drum machine beat in it doesn't make it truly electronic. I'll try and find some examples of electronic music for you that's heavy and has screaming to maybe help give you and anyone else some hope. I want LP fans to be excited about this new album. If anyone reading knows of some songs feel free to post.
