  1. I'm so sick of LP announcing announcements... it's just so pointless.
  2. No, Shadow is a really great track but I hate it when people reduce a band to just a song
  3. Thanks for the link. Very interesting! "Shinoda: The easiest way to get us in a bad mood is to start talking about being away from home a lot. We love being at home, so it's really hard - especially touring for 325 out of 365 days like we did last year" Didn't we find out that this was bullshit? Why does Mike say that?
  4. I don't get how this is news. Mike says the same he always does. And this is horrible.
  5. A stripped down live version of Robot Boy would be great but I doubt it The last time I checked downloads.linkinpark.com it was $9.99 per show...
  6. I guess they have the multitracks of all the tracks they play available when they're on tour. Maybe they had the problem that they couldn't replace Phoenix vocal part on Blackout.
  7. They dropped Empty Spaces because they didn't have enough time? Seriously?
  8. Pretty much this. Wow. Fits perfectly over BIO. Well done, Mr. Shinoda.
  9. Dude! That's awesome, thanks! I'll think about requests in the next few days by the way you posted part 1 twice
  10. Actually, I think that part was played on an Access Virus TI if I remember it correctly (that's the keyboard that Brad uses live). But seriously, just because the song has ONE simple part on the intro that you can recreate easily doesn't mean that the whole song would be easy to copy. Personally, I can't really decide between Blackout and The Catalyst. Both are in my opinion very original.
  11. 99% sure that this is not legit. LPL user Overkill designed this poster and a lot of LPL members (including myself) signed it on the Europe Tour 2010. I guess the Ebay seller stole the design and printed it himself. AndOne? Overkill? Do you know what the fuck is going on here?
  12. Yeah, I forgot that.
  13. I've always had it in my head like this....: Chester - vocals Mike - piano until "bridge", then synth solo Brad - synth during bridge, piano during end Phoenix - backup vocals, guitar at the end? (not sure if that is actally guitar or synth) Rob - drums Joe - backup vocals (don't know what he would have to sample and there is no scratching)
  14. I've actually asked Mike about it at a German ATS pre-listening event.
  15. Yeah, forget about bass guitar... great job
  16. Dude, what? How in the world could you say that? You have no idea how the next album is gonna sound like.
  17. Yes of course they do but they are unreleased except for Qwerty... I guess the demo of that song was played at Japan 2006 and has been on LPU6.
  18. Regarding the live shows he now uses a JazzMutant Lemur and 4 KORG nanoPADs to trigger samples. No idea about his vinyl/mixer though but I think the software is Serato. And I guess what he used in studio would be too much to list.
  19. The delay sucks. Btw, other songs are Control (I guess I understood that correctly) and Whore.
  20. Those are 4 Korg nanoPADs. Pretty sure he uses them for at least the Oppenheimer speech and parts of the Blackout breakdown, maybe the Savio speech too. It's pretty easy to set that up, at least with Ableton Live (although I'm sure they use ProTools live but I've no idea about that.) You'd have an audio clip of the speech with several different starting points in it and then you assign each of the starting points to a pad. And for the repeats I'm sure he uses the internal note repeat function of the nanoPAD that repeats notes in 8ths/16ths etc. when you hold a pad down.
  21. Great videos. Didn't know that Phoenix sings on What I've Done! That would be cool, but I'm pretty sure Mike doesn't know how to properly play the Theremin because he only uses its volume antenna to control a few filters via MIDI.
