  1. Yeah but like I said, there are a lot of songs that don't feature Chester - tons of instrumentals and songs featuring only Mike. I think they could pick 10 of those and just release that as a digital album for LPU17 or something. It would avoid picking stuff with Chester altogether, he wasn't the only member of Linkin Park. It sucks because Linkin Park and Linkin Park fans got fucked by what happened. Yes, it's tragic that Chester died, but it shouldn't mean that Linkin Park is done or that the fans shouldn't expect anything anymore. He was the lead singer, but he wasn't the only member of the band. There are 5 other members. Chester wasn't even the original vocalist for Linkin Park. Mark Wakefield was. If they aren't going to make a new album and aren't going to tour anytime soon in the future, they could give us demos and stuff. People say they don't owe the fans anything but I disagree with that. They wouldn't be anywhere without the fans in the first place. Is it that greedy to have expected for some random demos like we get each year and have been for a decade? They are sitting in vault and have been for years.
  2. Just give us some super huge download with all demos from all eras.
  3. He can sing all the old nu-metal hits and probably do newer stuff as well, look at the latest BMTH album, he can sing pop stuff. He would fit so well. To me, there is no better choice.
  4. The band should ask Oli Sykes to be the new lead singer for Linkin Park and then start making new music and touring again. Fuck it. He is one of the best vocalists of all time and he can easily do Chester's vocals. Look how epic he sounded on Crawling at the Hollywood Bowl show. He is young, smart and fits the part. He also loved Chester and Linkin Park, going as far as saying they are the reason he ever got into wanting to join a band. I mean cmon. Linkin Park can't die. They need to keep it going and Oli Sykes is the only man for the job.

Meh. I'd rather have all the DBS demos from 2005-2008 that are just sitting around and collecting dust instead. Some sick shit in those. All the original 2005 and 2006 demos are probably extremely badass and probably blow away ''Out Of Ashes'' entirely.
  6. Never did anything for a Boston show because I don't care about it honestly. But it's great work so far for all these countries. Mike should do a full tour for all these places now that he has the free time and there is a demand.
  7. So are we going to get LPU17 (music) after all? And what about the track by track videos of the LPU16 songs? Just never happened? What's the point of even keeping the LPU open if they don't feel comfortable giving us exclusive music anymore (they have every single year of the LPU since 1) and they also aren't sure what the future will hold, no point in having laminates and shit for the touring. Was LPU17 just a glorified merch bundle? Because the shirt was sold at the Hollywood Bowl show, just in black instead of gray. The fidget spinner was sold through the LPU before LPU17 came out, as well as that bridge poster being sold on the LP.com store months before LPU17, same goes for that OML pin and water bottle, etc. Did Mike just not want to do LPU for 17? Linkin Park isn't only Chester, there are tons of demos in the vault that feature Mike only or are instrumental, look at 90% of the ones we have received so far. He could pick 10 of those and at least that's something to shut people up like myself while continuing the fanclub.
  8. I don't get why they don't just release all demos from all album cycles (HT-OML). Especially now with Chester gone. They have probably over a 1000 demos from all those albums combined. At least let the fans pick maybe 30 of them that they want the most or something. A good majority of them are just sitting on computers and hard drives and shit. Maybe not release all of the OML ones since Mike and the band may reuse some in the future, but a good majority of the ones from HT-THP are probably never going to be used again. Since they already have given us a lot of weird demos, why not? Unfortunately, no one really cares about these except for the really hardcore fans who actually know about the band, not just random ass people who only know the main albums and that's it.
  9. I have never heard someone say that they think Battle Symphony is better live. It was easily one of the worst live songs they have ever played in their entire career, it's on par with how bad Hit The Floor/Easier To Run and Lies Greed Misery sounded live. The studio version of Battle Symphony completely blows it away in my opinion. They did make it sound decent on One More Light Live, the album, but listen to performances of it from random shows on YouTube, you may think twice.
  10. Was there ever any interviews about Projekt Revolution 2011? I don't think the band even mentioned the moniker during any of the shows. Why was it ''Projekt Revolution''? Seems weird they only did 4 shows for it scattered throughout various dates of other shows, etc.
  11. Hybrid Theory - I would get rid of By Myself for And One. I would also probably get rid of Cure For The Itch for High Voltage completely, the version included on the OSC Single. Never cared for By Myself and High Voltage would be cool to add in being a full hip-hop track. Never cared much for Cure For The Itch either, and that's partially why as well. Meteora - I would definitely give Don't Stay a short little intro to get rid of Foreword altogether. Always annoyed me. I also would probably swap Numb with Breaking The Habit, so Breaking The Habit ends the album, and of course have proper interludes to make it all flow similar to how they did it on the original album. Other than that, it's a solid album. Minutes To Midnight - I'm tempted to leave this one alone, but I guess I would change a few things. People would probably kill me for saying this out loud, but I'd get rid of Hands Held High for Across The Line and get rid of In Between for What We Don't Know. I have always loved both songs and they fit well when I swap those out. I realize it would really only leave Mike on Bleed It Out and that's it, but I'm fine with that, because I have always felt like Minutes To Midnight was the album where Chester shined the most. He was definitely the ''lead singer'' during that album era and I was fine with it. Other than that, it's a perfect album. I possibly would include a different instrumental as the opener instead of Wake, but it would have to be really cool and not too long. Maybe a instrumental in the style of the one in between Shadow Of The Day and What I've Done on the album, something like Basquiat, but shorter, like a minute and a half long, and it would fade into Given Up. A Thousand Suns - I would probably get rid of Empty Spaces, Wisdom Justice And Love and The Messenger completely. The Messenger never worked as a closer for me and I would rather have The Catalyst close the album, it's perfect as a closer to me. I have always thought Empty Spaces was stupid, much like Foreword on Meteora. So I would just give When They Come For Me a short little intro to make it flow instead. Wisdom Justice And Love, while a great speech, I never cared for. LIVING THINGS - This is a perfect album to me, besides Until It Breaks. I'd probably ditch it for a different song, maybe Devil's Drop, and I would make Devil's Drop more ''finalized'' by getting rid of the stuff in the beginning and end with the talking. Other than that, it's a perfect album to me. I may have also kept Primo a little bit similar to the original version, but it would be way more tweaked up. I'd keep the original chorus but definitely have the verses appear the way they do on Living Things. I'd also keep the complete vocal in the bridge of the song, instead of cutting it off like it does on Living Things, because it makes the lyrics make no sense. I would keep ''There's nothing that could stop me from going home'' instead of ''There's nothing that could stop me'', in other words. The Hunting Party - Oh boy. I would change so much about this album. It would be so different. For one, all of the interludes in between songs would be completely gone. To me, they never fit, and I hate them. They would all fade in and out to each other as the songs ended instead. I would also completely get rid of Until It's Gone and replace it with White Noise or some other completed song that didn't make the cut. I probably would also get rid of The Summoning and Drawbar completely for completed songs as well. I also hate the cheesy chorus of All For Nothing, with Chester screaming ''You say'', so I'd ditch that completely, too. I would also have kept the 1-2-1-2-Fuck You intro to War instead of the 1-2-1-2-Thank You intro included on the album, to keep it more punk rock, and because I love cursing. I would also probably ditch Rakim being on Guilty All The Same completely and just have a heavy breakdown with Chester like they originally thought about doing. The rest of the album is fine. One More Light - There's a lot I would change here as well. I would definitely get rid of Kiiara on Heavy and just have Chester sing the song all the way through. I'd get rid of Pusha T and Stormzy on Good Goodbye as well and just give Mike a second verse, and perhaps add another rapper to do one verse, maybe someone like Kendrick Lamar or Tyler, The Creator. I would keep the chipmunk shit on Nobody Can Save Me, but get rid of it on Good Goodbye, Sorry For Now and whatever else it was on. I'd probably get rid of Invisible for a different song entirely that didn't make the cut, I have never been a big fan of it, same goes for Halfway Right, I'd ditch that too for some other song that didn't make the cut. I'd have Sharp Edges appear somewhere else on the album so that One More Light can close out the album, I prefer it vastly as a closer. I'd also change the lyric on Sharp Edges that says ''What doesn't kill us makes us stronger'' to something else entirely. Sorry For Now would have had the chorus sang the way it was in the original clip from 2016, in that key, and Chester's verse would be gone from the song entirely, and Blackbear would add a verse instead. Other than that, it's fine with me.
  12. We never got much info on it other than this video. It's super interesting to me. We always get random instrumentals and seeds of songs that never made the cut of the albums. The songs that actually made the albums have a lot of cool early versions that people forget about. For example, I would take a demo of SOTD over any random MTM song that didn't make the cut because of the electric banjo and shit. And these are just a few examples. So many amazing songs over all the songs that made the cut for HT, Meteora, MTM, ATS, LT, THP and OML. While they have given us some, there still aren't many and a lot aren't finalized much. For example, Fear and Drum Song off of LPU9 are great, but we were shown versions of both with Mike singing both songs in full, different lyrics, etc. Those are the sick ones. Imagine the original Powerless, look at how epic Primo was. The demo of War that has Chester going 1-2-1-2-Fuck you in the intro. Mike singing the final version of Final Masquerade, the album version, with electric guitars, with Mike singing. Probably epic. What about a version of Heavy with Chester singing it all? So epic. What about that epic Blackout demo we were shown in LPTV? Damn. And think about how awesome the demos for Meteora songs probably are. FTI demo? Probably badass. And so many more.
  13. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nFEgpNgh6-4 We need this badly. Listen to the epic demo shown throughout the video.
  14. Seems like Mike and Chester did more outside of LP than actually with LP. Haha.

Cool info about the potential DBS album title.
  16. I think LT is a solid album for what it is, but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I do think that the band shouldn't have said it was folk inspired because nothing on it seems like folk to me at all. I know some of the songs originated as folk songs, but they sound nothing like folk in their finished forms. COG is perhaps the only one that SOMEWHAT does, but even then, it's a very small influence in the final product. Three Band Terror and Devil's Drop and shit are a little more folky, and I imagine a lot of the demos and songs that didn't make the cut were as well, but the album didn't sound like that. It was basically a straight up electro-rock record, IMO, with some pop influence, but mostly electro-rock. Something like Animals (2011 Demo) sounded more like the final product than any of that folk stuff did. It basically took the sound of ATS, infused it with mainstream rock, and made them more commercial. I like that a lot but I know not everyone did. THP was a mess, I agree, I think there were probably much better songs that could have been on the album than some of the ones that we got. I also think The Summoning and Drawbar are kind of stupid to have on the album, but that's just me, I know some people like those. I also hate the noises from the kids after some of the tracks, in particular KTTK. Since they weren't allowed to use their original idea for the end of KTTK, they should have just let it end without kids noises. I also don't care for the outro thing to AFN. It's cool, but what is the point? To show that the band opted for a heavy album over the one they were working on? Seems like of pointless for a final cut of the album to me. I also hate how the end of GATS on the album ends at 5:54 instead of 5:55, because the way it goes into The Summoning is the worst transition for a professional band I have ever seen, it sounds like when I make mixes on iTunes and flow songs into each other, it ends so abrupt and that extra second helps a lot, it should have been like 3 extra seconds, IMO. I also HATE the outro to Wastelands and how it blends into UIG. UIG is a shitty song and should have never been on the album, and that intro into UIG is even more pointless. It was a rejected song for TF4 and it sounds absolutely nothing like anything on THP. The other tracks are OK, but I just hate how they finished that album, it's almost like the band didn't care about it by the time it was ready to be finished and put out to the world, almost like Mike and the band were already over that whole ''heavy rock music'' phase before the album even dropped, and the 2014 sets back me up, it had a ton of non-rock songs, way more than previous tours, it was almost like a RECHARGED style set in some ways, especially the original run of shows in Europe and shit. MTM is perfect, I agree. I almost didn't want to change up the tracklisting but I decided to for fun, the original is great how it is. But I'm an obsessive fan of MTM so nothing about that entire era is bad to me. This thread was mostly just for fun and to see what people come up with. But I do firmly stand by having OML close out OML. I hate how Sharp Edges closes the album, even though I love that song. It just doesn't seem like an album closer to me, while OML does. OML is soft, but it's one of those ''epic'' songs like TLTGYA, ALITS, Powerless, etc. So I always felt like it should close the album. If we ever do get demos of OML, I bet some are great. The guests on Good Goodbye used to annoy me, like Kiiara did for Heavy, I always wanted to hear just strictly LP versions, but who knows.
  17. Yeah, they didn't cover much ground. But I believe Mike actually had to pay out of his own pocket to do those shows mostly, without much help from the label. I can imagine it was the same for Chester with the DBS shows in the U.S., etc. Luckily, I live 3 hours from NYC, like you said, and bands usually always play NYC. So I'm lucky in that sense. NYC and LA are always played by like 99% of bands and artists. That does really suck for people who don't live near either, damn. But yeah, I think he will continue it for a few years. Definitely 2018, I think. Probably 2019, too.
  18. I already had the lists in my phone that I did the other night. It took about an hour, maybe a little more. Mostly I just like how they all blended. Some stuff doesn't blend well because of the intros and outros on the album but I just imagined them in my head to be made to all flow, like if the band chose these as the tracklistings and made the flow into each other. I had to keep ALITS as a closer because to me, there is no better closing song in their whole catalog. I also always wanted The Catalyst to close ATS and One More Light to close OML, so I did that. Papercut, while it's iconic and definitely a good album opener, I wanted to choose something different for HT, I wanted to make that one crazy.
  19. I actually saw Fort Minor on that little U.S. Tour and it was pretty badass. I saw Dead By Sunrise a few times as well at a few U.S. shows. I wonder if this project gets bigger, if he will do a full scale tour. Like you said, he has all the time in the world now. I think 2018 will be a year of Mike Shinoda solo stuff - live and studio stuff. 2019 might bring some new ''Linkin Park'', but that could also be 2020. I don't think they are rushing into re-forming Linkin Park and putting out stuff ASAP and touring. I think it will take some time, like Mike has said a few times now. I don't think we will see it in 2018 at least, which is fine by me.
  20. The idea for this thread is to re-arrange the tracklisting for each of the main seven albums by LP. (HT, M, MTM, ATS, LT, THP and OML). Only the main tracks allowed, so no adding demos or live tracks or remixes and stuff. I was inspired to make this thread because I realized that I always wished that The Catalyst closed ATS and OML closed OML. -Hybrid Theory- 01. Crawling 02. Runaway 03. One Step Closer 04. 21. That would be interesting. MCR kind of did that with Conventional Weapons, where they released 2 tracks at a time over a period of time and eventually it was one full album: Conventional Weapons. We probably won’t get one. I never believed that they would give us one down the line or whatever. LPU music each year is probably done, I don’t think we will get one with LPU18, either. I don’t even care anymore personally, though. As I’ve said for a few years now, we never much get demos of songs that actually made main albums, which are the only ones I like.
  22. Do you guys think Mike will put out a full album eventually? I always hoped that Chester would with STP, but they only did that one EP. A full album would be badass.
  23. Mike on Twitter: ''I made the music / track of ''Place To Start'' while we were working on the OML album. Rob did brushes and crashes on it back then.''
  24. I actually listened to the entire thing the other night, word for word, and Talinda does mention Chris. So my bad. She said that she thought after Chester lost Chris to suicide and watching what it did to Chris's family, that maybe it would change Chester. I never even thought of that.
  25. Dude, if you were a fan back in 2005/2006, that's what Fort Minor was. I've been around since 2003 and I remember that time very well. I saw Fort Minor in 2006 in Boston. Pretty much every photoshoot was them together. They were always on tour for all the shows back then, and were on stage even for songs they didn't rap in. Remember back in 2015 when Ryu was surprised that Mike was going on Conan as Fort Minor and he didn't even know about it? That's how a lot of fans reacted. I know that S.O.B. wasn't featured on every track that Fort Minor put out, but Fort Minor was always a group of the three to me, and you can even include Cheapshot and Vin Skully in that too in some regards, as well as Beatdown. I know that the new school fans think Fort Minor is straight up just Mike Shinoda, but the old school fans who were around back then will remember it the way that I do. Even if it's wrong, my memory just won't allow that bullshit. It's just like how Snow White Tan/Dead By Sunrise will always be Chester, Ryan and Amir to me. And you can add in the other members, too, such as Brandon Belsky, Fu and Elias Andra. I don't consider Frank Zummo and shit a part of Dead By Sunrise at all and I never will. Just like how I won't consider Linkin Park with a new singer. Linkin Park is Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Joe Hahn and Dave Farrell to me. If they continue without Chester as the remaining 5 members, that's still Linkin Park to me in a way. But not replacing any of the members or any of that, nah.
