Wonder if it was the same song Mike showed fans. And also, I wonder when we might get a release.

Astat's remix of PTS was my favorite. But I like zwieR.Z. for Over Again.

You are welcome my friend.

Same, that's why I just ordered the pin. It's one of my favorite photos of Chester of all time, though.

Here is my own personal version from 2007 that I uploaded for you. http://www.mediafire.com/file/hzhzfzd0pp5gy6s/Julien-K_Feat_Chester_Bennington_-_Technical_Difficulties_Live_in_Bristow_VA_19082007_Myspace_Proshot%5Bgrabfrom.com%5D.mp3Julien-K_Feat_Chester_Bennington_-_Technical_Difficulties_Live_in_Bristow_VA_19082007_Myspace_Proshotgrabfrom.com.mp3

Ordering a pin.

Killer Instinct is a track included with the Time Capsule released by Julien-K. It isn't a demo, it's a fully completed b-side. Ryan said that the song was originally created to be used in a very popular TV show at the time, but it never happened. The song is listed to be from 2005. Does anyone know what show it was intended for? Dexter, maybe, which debuted in 2006? I know Chester and Ryan were huge fans of that series.

Maybe I’ll check the whole thing out tonight. I did like Meadow when I first heard it.

Wasnt anything special to me at all. Didnt even want to listen all the way through to that track because it was so boring sounding. Looking for an Answer was way more emotional for me. EDIT: After listening to the track multiple times, it's actually not bad. I'm not gonna say that I absolutely love it but it has a great meaning (I can't hate anything dedicated to Chester) and the chorus is pretty good. It just has a different vibe then what I usually listen to. And I think Jeff Gutt and STP are genuinely good dudes so I appreciate the song for that too.

As far as Place to Start remixes, it is my favorite one that I’ve heard. I think the best remix of Over Again is probably DPARK's. Not sure about Watching As I Fall.

http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/music/brad-delson-of-linkin-park-snitched-on-sublime-with-rome-manager-says-6623415 Guess it was Brad. Cheezboy from Bucket of Weenies is Sublime’s manager and he said it was Brad who called the cops.

I hope Astat wins. I think he had the best remix out of anyone that I have heard.

I've known Chester was good friends with Rene for a long time, right up until his death. Didn't know about Jeff Gutt and him being friends, though. I did like a few songs on Dry Cell's 2002 album. They weren't a bad band. I really respect STP and Jeff Gutt for honoring Chester like this. Just like how Julien-K did with Time Capsule. You can tell all of these guys were his real actual friends and recognize how amazing of a voice he was. Didn't Kings Of Chaos even perform at this funeral?

Damn this is a really good one.

In The Darkness fits really well for Twilight lyrically. Out Of Ashes not coming out until late 2009 would have meant it was too early to be released, like you said they couldn't have used it. But the actual song was written back in 2005 so they probably had a semi completed version of it by mid to late 2008. I remember that they wanted to use Crawl Back In for Transformers 2 soundtrack as well but they couldn't because of most likely the same issue, since the album didn't end up coming out until late 2009. Kind of sucks for Chester. Maybe that's what led Julien-K to do the entire score for Transformers 2 video game. Anyways, I always thought that MTM and OOA were kind of similar in a lot of ways. I could see a lot of MTM songs appearing on OOA and a lot of OOA songs appearing on MTM. They both had that alternative emo rock sound and the touch of electronic thrown in. They were both written basically at the same time so it makes sense in a way. Plus in the mid to late 2000's, that emo rock shit was extremely popular in the mainstream, similar to how big nu-metal was in the early to mid 2000's. That's why I said all that about having the tour for MTM appeal to all those kids who loved that shit at the time. ATS is when they really just said fuck whatever is trending, let's just go crazy and be us and we will tour with whoever we want too.

Cool info. So Cry To Yourself, Karma Killer and that track with The Visionaries that got released in 2015 all came from 2001. Freestyle is a bit more interesting about when it hailed from. Interesting that Mike used some lyrics from it for Fort Minor, too.
-
I have always wondered when these tracks originated from. I know that State Of The Art (or Cry To Yourself) was a song that DJ Lethal worked on with Chester for his at the time solo album, but it never got released. I also know that Freestyle was DJ Vice working with Mike for his mixtape called I'm Serious. But does anyone know the actual year they were both recorded? Was it 2001? 2002? I've seen both thrown around but I'd like to know. The month of which year would be even better if possible.

Yeah it would and Blackbear has sung a lot of emotional inspired songs. Look at the song Down The Road he did with MGK years back. Amongst other shit. I could see him singing a chorus on a Mike Shinoda solo song and it sounding good.

This show is so good and the quality is the best we have. Thank you so much once again. I love this show.
-
That's just how I talk. ''And shit'' is like ''And stuff'', etc. I grew up in the hood basically. I actually don't hate MGK, I think he is alright. I did like his cover of Numb, too. But yeah, to further elaborate, I think it's possible we may see a few guest spots on the album. Like I said, Mike said not all of the songs are sad songs. Imagine something like The Hard Way from FM. It's emotional, yet has a guest feature. Stuff like that. I don't think there will be a lot of guest spots, but maybe a few. And I know he's become pretty good friends with MGK, that's why I used him as an example, and he's also a fellow rapper. We might even see someone like Blackbear. Who knows. It's just random guessing.

Thank you for sharing! I always wondered what happened with this story. It was talked about so much in 2014. Lol.

You can lock the thread if you need to. Maybe even just delete it if you want. I don't really care. Any time that I want to discuss anything about the band, it's an issue on this site. I've always had that problem on this site, actually. I've noticed that ever since I first started posting here back in 2008, that you have to love everything that the band has ever done, and praise everything that they do. It's not really like that anywhere else but it for sure seems like that here. I've said it time and time again, and of course the Mods here will say stuff like ''Oh, that's not true'', etc. Seems true to me when I constantly keep realizing that, year after year. It's also funny to me that apparently the opinions of some of the people that run this site never change. If you like something at one point, you're never allowed to dislike it or even hate it in the future. Idk, but that's not how I operate. I can hear a song one day that I think is an amazing song, and maybe a month later or less, I can hate the song. For me to have loved MTM for such a long time and now not really be into the album, that isn't weird for me. I do that a lot with music. Even on other ends of the spectrum, maybe I hated something when it first came out, then I'll eventually come to like it down the line. And yeah, sometimes I do troll. But when I'm writing paragraphs upon paragraphs about why I don't like something, or why I like something, or if I want to just discuss something, that's way more valid than some of the people here who just say ''Oh this sucks''. I explain why I think something sucks. You don't have to agree with it. I don't have to agree with you. This site has always been that way and it's so weird and annoying.

...How the fuck was I complaining?? What are you talking about? When did I once complain about Mike making a solo album? I was wondering if he will possibly have guest features on some of the songs. He said not all the songs are sad songs, etc. And even if they were sad songs, he can still have features. Have you seen MGK's cover of Numb that he did after Chester passed and what he said about Chester after he passed? He performed at the Hollywood Bowl show that I thought you went to, surely you would have seen that? He said he liked Chester a lot and looked up to him as an artist. How do you know what he has been through in life? You think Mike is the only person to have ever lost someone to suicide? It happens every day, somewhere. It's a terrible tragedy and you can't possibly come at me with that argument that he could never collab with Mike for the album just because he ''doesn't know what it feels like'' or whatever. That's one of the stupidest fucking things I have ever heard in my life bro. He's friends with Mike so I was just naturally assuming possibly he could be one of the guests if he were to have guests. Maybe he won't have guests at all. So many hip-hop and pop and basically every genre of music have guest spots on their records. I'm not sure what you're getting so triggered about with my post because it was meant as nothing but contributing to the discussion of his new music he's working on. I think you just want to attack me or silence me, that's how it seems to me. I could say that I think Numb is a good song and you'd find some way to either attack me or discredit me for it. I have just as much of a right to be a fan as you do, as anyone else does. Sorry, that's how the world works.

Epic as hell. Thank you.

That's funny because sometimes I'll actually throw on MTM, ATS, LT and OML when I'm going to sleep and I'll drift off. Because I think a majority of the songs are boring and radio-ish, but also because there are a lot of slow songs on those albums.
