  1. I'm actually really happy that all 5 songs we have heard so far will be on the album. I was worried they wouldn't be, at least the first three that we heard in January.
  2. mp3/m4a.
  3. It is cool. The Rising Tied had 16 tracks, too. Well, the original album, not counting the Special Edition.
  4. Where on the page does it say a place I can purchase the singles digitally though? I would ask if someone who has them could send me them but I know it's official material so I can't. EDIT: Nvm, I discovered the link button next to the titles. But it's only available on iTunes in countries besides U.S., where I live. Is there a way to bypass it and buy them?
  5. Anyone know where I can buy digital copies of these singles? I know the physical copies are very hard to find and are pricey. But I've always wanted these, even digitally. CBI Single has CBI and MS live, and the LD single was LD LIve and Fire Live.
  6. I actually don't hate the 2 new tracks. I'm going to pre-order the CD. Cool that we got an album release date and title as well.
  7. I might just keep my iTunes old school and keep stuff from only 2008 and prior (end of MTM).
  8. I mean... THP wasn't as ''heavy'' as stuff like Qwerty, No More Sorrow, Given Up, Meteora, A.06, some of Hybrid Theory, etc. At least not to me. It wasn't as poppy but it did have a few pop oriented tracks with Until It's Gone and Final Masquerade, both of which became proper singles for the album. I don't mean to bash the band, but it is obvious that Mike loves pop music and it has shown for years. The thing that made A Thousand Suns seem less poppy is the structure of the songs and the flow of the album, but a lot of the actual pieces of music can be considered pretty poppy. New Divide was pretty poppy and it became a huge single. Living Things and One More Light were basically full on pop and so weren't the collaborations with Steve Aoki. That's why I said since Minutes To Midnight. Minutes To Midnight had a few poppy songs, but they were basically rock ballads, so they were kind of different. Some people would call songs like In The End and Numb pop as well, but those are more pop-rock kind of. They are a different kind of pop compared to later work, etc. I'm not saying all pop is bad, even though I admit that I don't like pop stuff very much. Some of it can be decent, I'll give some artists that. Mike making pop though isn't anything new, so that's why I said it's nothing new for him, he has been making it for years, he has mastered the technique and he knows what he is doing.
  9. Every LP album since MTM was poppy. MTM was alt rock and rock driven. So it’s nothing new. That’s why I said that I expected it since Mike loves pop and has for a while now.
  10. LOL I remember back when that LPTV came out (I feel like it was in a trailer for LPTV even) and I kept replaying it because it annoyed my cousin who I always hung out with at the time. She got so mad. Haha. It was all in fun, though. Good times.
  11. The reason that I hated OML at first was because it was super poppy. But not all of the songs were bad on the album after listening through it many times. I still hate songs like Heavy but that's mostly just for that Kiiara feature. Chester should have sang that song in it's entirety on the album, and I think that even more now that he passed away. But yeah, super poppy sounding. In general, I hate the kind of music that sounds like that. I'll admit it. I'm not going to act like I like it just because it's Mike. I'll still support him. Post Traumatic was dark. Over Again and Watching As I Fall are great songs. Place To Start is a little poppy and short to me. But it's not a bad song. I kind of expected Mike to go a super pop route on his solo stuff because I know he was trying to make Linkin Park into that a few years ago and he primarily listens to pop like that. It's fine, it's his music, he can do whatever with it. I'm sure a lot of people will like it, especially the younger generations.
  12. God the song sounds cringey as fuck. I will support Mike but God I hate that kind of music. But that's all I'm gonna say on it.
  13. So are we just like not getting music for LPU17? Any news on it? I wonder if we'll get it with LPU 18 coming in November if not. Every single one of those demos are just sitting in a vault somewhere. It sucks. I'd cherish them. Lol. There is a shit ton of Linkin Park music that is yet to be heard, stuff people want, including myself. I could even settle for 10 demos that are instrumental at this point. I know it's hard for Mike to listen to them probably but even if he wanted to just give us some instrumental LP demos I'd be 100% down.
  14. Since a lot of the shows he is playing he is down on the bill, I bet he will only get to play like 6 or 7 songs for those shows. There's 4 Mike tracks counting the one coming out tomorrow. I'd say maybe Welcome and a couple other FM tracks.
  15. Thursday should be good. I liked the Post Traumatic EP songs. When Mike said we wouldn't be hearing the song soon, I thought he meant a good while, like Summer time. I like how he just is taking it gradually and releasing stuff to us when he feels comfortable. No pressure that way really. Check out my thread about Mike's solo shows (anyone who is interested in Mike playing live) http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=13194&do=findComment&comment=284781
  16. I think it's safe to say that Mike will be doing shows throughout 2018 (already have several announced and I'm sure more will be coming eventually). Mike recently said that he will be performing the new songs, as well as some Fort Minor and other stuff, but he isn't sure if any Linkin Park stuff will make it's way in the set, but he wasn't sure yet. Do you think they'll be just like the 2015 FM shows? I think they'll obviously be similar in terms of the performance, but I think he will change up the set quite a bit. What songs do you guys think will be played? We can make potential setlists, etc. Mike Shinoda Place To Start Over Again Watching As I Fall Crossing A Line Nothing Makes Sense Anymore More new songs Fort Minor Welcome Remember The Name (2015 version) Petrified (2015 version) Where'd You Go (2015 version) Cigarettes (2015 version) Believe Me (2015 version) Get Me Gone (For some reason, I can just see him finally playing this, idk why) High Road (Possibly) Kenji (2015 version) Dolla (2015 version) Perhaps more songs Linkin Park? High Voltage (2015 version) Nobody's Listening (Maybe some fragments of it but probably not a full studio version obviously) Hands Held High (In some way, I can see it being integrated like in 2015) When They Come For Me (Verses probably) Wretches And Kings (Verses probably and maybe the bridge part as well) Devil's Drop (2015 version maybe) Until It Breaks (Verses and maybe even whole song similar to 2015, even Brad's part being done this time) Wastelands (Maybe the rap verses, I can see it for some reason) Good Goodbye (I can see Mike rapping his two verses at some point) Misc. It's Goin' Down (Some variation) Like Riding A Bike (Maybe his verse) Second To None (maybe his verse and chorus)
  17. Wow, this is sick. And that's a sick track title if it indeed is. Can't wait to see. Place To Start actually was originally a demo from OML according to Mike so that's not too wild to assume. But it might not be. Maybe he just wanted to work with Ross Golan again. Chester also was credited for writing Halfway Right which is another cool fact, they wrote that with Ross Golan.
  18. First single seems somewhat likely.
  19. This thread has been one big troll.
  20. Anyone have an mp3 download from the original source? I could rip it from YouTube but then the quality will suck.
  21. I actually was at that Toronto show. Drove all the way up there from Massachusetts. My girlfriend at the time went with me, too. It was fun. But for some reason, it didn't feel as special at the show as it did when listening to the DSP later on. The set was very unique, for sure. But it rained the entire time pretty much and I was pretty far back in the crowd. I enjoyed the PR08 shows that I went to a week later a lot more. It's a good show but I didn't want it to be the 2008 show, since it didn't start off like a proper show, etc.
  22. I’ve actually managed to find a show from each year that will fit on one CD. Not just DSP’s. For a few I made exceptions, for 2010 I just used the Madrid show mp3 since it fit. And RTR for 2008 instead of Toronto just because it’s a more energetic show I guess. But for all the other years I found a DSP that fit. Bangkok for 2007, Download Fest for 2011, NovaRock for 2012. And other shows for non DSP eras.
  23. Thanks for sharing man.
  24. I know there are some DSPs that are under 80 minutes so the whole show will fit on a blank CD. Novarock 2012 is one for example, same as Toronto 2008, etc. Does anyone know any others? It would be helping me out.
  25. It's funny because I actually used to listen to ''Under Attack'' back when I first got into the band. I had found it online and burned it to a CD. I knew it wasn't official, I think, but I did enjoy it. It had a lot of cool tracks like the HTEP tracks, some weird stuff, and Grey Daze songs. Of course, I eventually got more obsessed with the band and learned about everything, so I just downloaded the original releases for all of those tracks. But it's funny that a 12 year old me listened to Under Attack.
