  1. Before the US tour earlier this year, Chester said in a promo video that they were rehearsing songs like Sex & Violence, Sin and another song. They never played Sin, so I'm assuming that is one of those songs. Awesome that they are going to play Cry Cry at Soundwave 2014, can't wait to hear it live. EDIT: This is the video where he mentions Sin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9Lq8TfdQHc
  2. LP is on a whole new level now then when they were when they worked with Don Gilmore. :LP is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, bands since 2000 at this point. Rick Rubin is a whole renowned producer so it makes sense that LP would work with him, and he is the exact opposite of how Don Gilmore treated the band when they made music with him.
  3. Pretty cool if this is going to be recorded or streamed. Not a big fan of The Offspring, they have a few good songs but overall I'm not a fan.
  4. LP should have waited until 2015 and took their time writing this album to make it epic. STP could do an album + tour in 2014 this way and it would make the LP music of better quality.
  5. Cool review man. I saw STP with Chester in Boston back in September and it was really fun and he seemed to have had as much energy as you are describing here. Awesome. I wouldn't say that I prefer STP with Chester more than LP, but it was definitely awesome and it was a bit more fun than seeing Chester with DBS back in 2009. It's obvious that he loves LP and always will and LP will always come first, but he definitely has fun rocking out with STP and that is a good thing. Nice review.
  6. This is awesome. There are so many interviews with STP that it will be good to have them all in one thread.
  7. Hell yeah! Sounds awesome. I enjoyed High Rise thoroughly, so I welcome this as well.
  8. The whole ''breaking A habit'' thing does annoy me, but I know better than to complain about it in this thread. I just won't listen to the cover. I've never liked a cover of a LP song anyways, but this sounds decent except for that part.
  9. I have never heard of Infected Mushroom until today. They do seem pretty popular, with 1,000,000 likes on Facebook. It's not really my type of music, but it's a cool cover.
  10. Lol. Honestly, though, I consider Chester's screams to be better than most metal and screamo vocalists that I've heard, even though Chester rarely uses it like that.
  11. The show isn't far away and I don't think they'll play any 'new songs' or have a Qwerty type situation, obviously. But it would be cool if they played some of the songs off of LIVING THINGS that they haven't played, seeing as how this will probably be the last show before the album is around to getting released. I'LL BE GONE, ROADS UNTRAVELED and POWERLESS all would be epic to hear, I can understand why they wouldn't play SKIN TO BONE or UNTIL IT BREAKS, though.
  12. I have a couple of live recordings of DJ sets from Skrillex and they sound awesome. I bet the Joe one isn't as good, but who knows. Nobody knows except for the people that attend these events and we never get any recordings at all.
  13. So far, all signs from the band members are pointing to this album being awesome. I hope it isn't of the same quality as LIVING THINGS. I honestly would like them to evolve on the ATS sound and keep taking it further with each album, but if this album is going to try and ''revive the rock scene a bit'' as Mike said, I'm all for that as well. Live drums are also a good thing.
  14. Probably the usual set they've been playing. I think if they ended up playing a new songs from High Rise, people would have remembered that or we'd have known by now.
  15. It would be kind of awesome to have a recording of one of Hahn's DJ sets.
  16. I can't recall a time where I heard a singing vocal from Mike and didn't automatically think that it would sound better if Chester had sang it. Mike doesn't have a horrible voice, but I prefer to hear Chester's voice when I'm listening to LP songs if it comes to singing or screaming.
  17. I prefer Chester singing over both, especially singing.
  18. WTF @ the webcast being cut at that moment. Was a cool interview until it was cut. Anyways, I hope they debut some of the other songs off of High Rise during this short Holiday tour. Cry Cry would be awesome live.
  19. I've heard people in bars in my area actually say ''they make songs for Transformers now, they haven't released new music in ages'' and stuff like that. LP is pretty much viewed in the general public eye as the band who made In The End/Hybrid Theory and made the CD with Jay-Z, as well as an occasional ''transformers band'.
  20. What if they use ALTNC in Transformers 4? It would fit extremely well with it's electronic sound and dark ''LP'' lyrics. They used What I've Done for Transformers and used Iridescent for Transformers 3, so it's not uncommon for Michael Bay to want to use a song that is already released by Linkin Park. This may also mean nothing, or it could also mean LP and Steve will collaboration again for a Transformers 4 exclusive song.
  21. Yes, but we all knew LP was taking time off in 2005 and both shows in 2005 were for a benefit of sorts. LP is planning to tour and most likely release an album in 2014, so I think we may even see a show earlier than July.
  22. I always found it odd that Chester said they were rehearsing I'LL BE GONE in December of 2012 but they never ended up playing it at Almost Acoustic Christmas in 2012 or the entirety of 2013 at all. It doesn't seem like it's a type of situation that Robot Boy or Skin to Bone is and I think they should have gave it a shot.
  23. I obviously won't be going but this is pretty cool. I wonder if they will do anything special/new. Most likely not, but that would be awesome. Hopefully we can get a recording or something from this show.
  24. We will see what happens.
