  1. 01. THOUGHTS THAT TAKE AWAY MY PRIDE ... wtf. 02. BLEED IT OUT DEMO.
  2. Really digging the Beta State song. I like it a lot. Good band. 01. Basquiat - Reminds me a lot of the interlude between Shadow Of The Day and What I've Done on MTM. It's fitting because it's from 2007, same year MTM was released. Maybe this was one of the options considered for the interlude to bridge those? I remember reading somewhere once that Mike did Bang Three (What I've Done) and a few other demos as a batch. Anyways, great song. I like it. Has a very moody, dark kind of vibe to it. Very different for LP. 8/10 02. Holding Company - We already somewhat knew what Holding Company sounded like from the making of Living Things, as well as the live intro for LITE being almost the same. This version has a lot of guitar and stuff that wasn't shown though, and that is cool. Reminds me a lot of Iridescent, I honestly thought it was an Iridescent demo when viewing that LPU13 promo video. Not much to say about this song, but it doesn't sound much like LITE and I'm glad the band took the direction they did with it, turning it into LITE. 5/10 03. Primo - We already heard this song last week as it was released early. Love this demo. Probably the best demo on the CD. I love the lyrics in the chorus and the melody is a bit different for the chorus as well, I dig that a lot. Not much else to say about this song either, but I do consider IBG to be better, so I'm happy the band took it in that direction, similar to how I feel about Holding Company becoming LITE. I think this is a great demo, though. 9/10 04. Hemispheres - This song instantly reminded me of Holiday music for some reason. It has a very kind of happy, cool sort of vibe to it, at least for me. I'm probably the only one who thinks that. It's cool that we got a 2011 demo that wasn't a demo of a song we got on LIVING THINGS and this is one of the better demos on the CD. 8/10 05. Cumulus - My favorite demo on the CD. Tied with Primo in terms of favorite. I like the guitar work and the drums are awesome. It has that moody, heavy feel to it like most of the Meteora demos we have heard so far. Would have loved to see the band progress with this song and add vocals. I think this would have been good enough to make the album, honestly. My new favorite instrumental LP song. 10/10 06. Pretty Birdy - My least favorite demo on the CD. Major disappointment. SIB underwent over 30 different chorus changes, they reworked tons of lyrics and melodies, etc, and what we essentially got here is a 'rough' instrumental of the final version. Reminds me a lot of what a garage band covering SIB would sound like. 1/10 07. Universe - The other least favorite demo on the CD of mine. Major disappointment. This is essentially the SAME as the instrumental to the song released with Download To Donate which had Kenna and Lupe Fiasco on it. Not a fan. It's not that I don't like the sound of the song, I like it, but the fact that it took up a spot for something we haven't heard before is a bit lame. 2/10 08. Apaches - Awesome demo. I love the rap from this demo, always have, I also love the almost 'werewolf' sound after the rap that goes on. Pretty awesome. Solid demo, not much else to say. 9/10 09. Foot Patrol - My least favorite of the 3 UIB demos. Not a fan of the vocal direction here, but I suppose it's cool to have. 3/10 10. Three Band Terror - At first, I thought this was weird and not very good. I now love it. I never would have guessed that the Brad section in UIB started off as a folk demo with an acoustic guitar. What we got for the final product of this on UIB is so much different than this version. I love it. 9/10 11. Truth Inside A Lie - Literally not much to say about this. Decent sounding demo, but doesn't interest me. 5/10 12. Change - I love this song. I never would have thought I would. One of the best songs. Solid. 10/10
  3. I've listened the CD two times now and my ultimate decision is that the CD isn't great, but it's not TERRIBLE I guess. It has some cool demos on it. Releasing Primo early was probably a mistake, but oh well. Primo, Cumulus and Hemispheres are my favorite tracks on the CD. I do think putting the 3 UIB demos on was a bit crappy, but I guess some people wanted to hear those, so it's cool. My real complaints are with 'Pretty Birdy' sounding exactly like what I would expect a garage band covering SIB to sound like. I expected a cooler demo for SIB, seeing as how it had 30 different chorus changes, multiple different melodies, different lyrics, etc while writing it. Oh well. I also don't like how Universe is essentially the same instrumental for that Download To Donate song. I wonder if Mike realized that when compiling this tracklisting or he just forgot. This is probably my least favorite LPU CD compared to 9, 10, 11 and 12, but I'm not completely let down. There is somewhat of a replay value. I'll wait to give a track by track review until a lot of other members start doing it. As far as the actual package goes, wtf. I understand that paying 60 dollars for the year which includes a Summit pass is understandable. I didn't even read before purchasing LPU13 for 60 dollars that it didn't include the Summit pass. That is some bs. I bet it will cost 50 bucks just like it did in previous years for members who didn't get the 60 dollar pass. That really is kind of a rip off. I guess that there is a possibility that there won't be a summit near me that I can attend, but if there is, I'll be mad. The jersey idea is kind of cool, better than a crappy t-shirt like LPU12 had I suppose. The whole exclusive content on your phone thing is a bit strange. I always put all my music/pics/videos on my computer, I don't download anything to my phone really. We will see how that works out. The poster is very cool, I just hope it doesn't get bent or crumpled during shipping and handling. I still thought the flag idea for LPU11 was a bit cooler.
  4. Mike said in the making of LT, that basically COG and STB kept their demo titles. He was like ''Castle of Glass is Castle of Glass, Skin to Bone is Skin to Bone'' and then he continued naming demo titles and then the final titles.
  5. Wow, nice find. This is very interesting.
  6. I find it funny that even one of the LPU Sessions winners has an instrumental demo. But I agree. I like a lot of LP's instrumentals, just these ones are not very good. Oh well. I guess there is always next year, although I will definitely not be excited at all for the CD. I guess it's better that way.
  7. It's not the fact that they are instrumentals. It's the fact that they aren't good instrumentals. I know they have a bunch of great instrumental demos and demos with vocals lying around that they could have used. But see, this is my opinion, that LPU13 is horrible. It just happens that many people's opinions are the same as mine. If you like the CD, more power to you.
  8. It takes up 3 slots that could have been used for better demos. But I guess people here really love UIB, I never knew that. More power to the LPU then for giving those fans the 3 demos or whatever.
  9. Listened to about half the CD so far. This is the worst LPU CD so far since LPU9, IMO. Way too many instrumentals and we didn't get any of the stuff we were requesting. Honestly, Primo is most likely the best demo on this CD. I also don't see the need in putting the 3 UIB demos on the CD, seems a bit like a cop out.
  10. You should instantly get the digital download if you buy the CD separately. Wow. I can't even believe that is the case. I'll surely be getting a refund for purchasing the CD separately.
  11. I feel sorry for you and any other international customer. That is an OUTRAGEOUS shipping and handling cost. Nothing in this package amounts to having that much of a cost. It's a jersey. Maybe even lighter material than a t-shirt, that makes no sense. A small poster, very light. Good luck to you. Contacting the LPU and resolving issues will take a very long time. The LPU should have had all of this settled and fixed BEFORE the site even launched. This has to the biggest disaster I have ever seen.
  12. No, my issue is that I bought the 57 dollar package with 20 shipping and handling. I expect that, it was the same last year. No issue there. My issue is this. I then bought the LPU13 CD in the LPU store SEPARATELY. It says it will ship you the physical CD, as well as give you a digital download link. I bought this, and did not get a digital download link. I had to AGAIN purchase the ''digital download of LPU13'' in order to get a download. I had to buy the same thing twice, just because of their error. It's not my error. I am paying for this membership, the customer is always right. It's misleading and a rip off.
  13. Anyone know if it's possible to cancel an order on the LPU? I want to cancel buying 3 copies of the CD just to be able to get a shit quality mp3 of it so I don't have to wait 3 months to get the LPU package in the mail.
  14. NOPE. Apparently, if you buy the 57 ALL IN ONE Package, you don't get the digital download. Additionally, if you buy the LPU13 CD separately in the LPU store, you also don't get a digital download, even though it CLEARLY STATES that you will be receiving the CD in the mail, as well as a digital download. You will have to buy the digital download CD that is now newly added to the LPU store in order to get the digital download. Wish I had known this, should have waited an hour after it launched because apparently the website wasn't ready yet when they launched it. I know am out money for multiple copies of the same CD because of some Myspace like error infested website.
  15. Can someone tell me how I can email LPU?
  16. AWESOME. Less ATS demos, the better. I'm very happy with this tracklisting. I just wish I could hear the CD because apparently you don't get a digital download link, even though you paid for it.
  17. Who cares when you spend 80+ dollars and recieve no digital download?
  18. UHHHH WTFFFF. Just purchased the CD and membership and NO DIGITAL DOWNLOAD LINK!?!?!?!??!?!!??!!?!?!? Where is it????
  19. Holy shit. Can't seem to order the package or anything. LPU is full or errors and bugs, etc. This should have been figured out and executed well. LPU = FAIL. Demo tracklisting sounds awesome, though.
  20. SPOILER TAGS ABOUT THE SONGS SHOULD BE USED. WTF.
  21. If anyone reading this knows the tracklisting, can you at least PM me the tracklisting? I can't wait hours more for this. At least with LP album releases we get the tracklisting months before the album comes out. It almost kills the excitement to have to wait so long because it builds up expectations for epicness, and if it fails to be epicness, then yeah.
  22. Honestly, that would be kind of epic.
  23. My first prediction was midnight EST. Then my prediction was midnight PST. Those didn't come true. So then my prediction was 12PM EST. Didn't happen. I then figured maybe 2PM EST, didn't happen. Then 12PM PST. Didn't happen. So I am thinking it will come out way later today.
  24. I'm predicting 6PST. So 9EST for me.
  25. Crazy, I would have figured it'd be out by now. Guess we'll wait to wait even longer, who knows when it will launch... Sucks.
