[AndOne] Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Did the band release an uncensored version of Crawling (Live From Projekt Revolution 2008) featuring Chris Cornell? The DSP from the show (Burgettstown 2008) is censored too but all the other Projekt Revolution 2008 DSPs should be uncensored. Quote
MetalNacional Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Thanks man What about Announcement Service Public and Dedicated? Do you think they have a different mastering between LPU and Songs From The Underground? Quote
Astat Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 The LPU 2.0 CD had poor sound quality issues in general (the recording of My December on there is particularly awful), so the version of Dedicated on Songs From the Underground will likely sound better (it does when A/B'ing my copies). I don't know if those issues affected all LPU 2.0 CDs or just a large batch of them. I don't think it's an actual mastering difference, though. Quote
lpliveusername Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 To keep the mood on the set light, Cox invited a friend of his who is in a bluegrass band to come to the sound stage in Los Angeles. “We brought him and a guy playing banjo and they did a couple of Linkin Park songs,” the director said, giggling. http://www.mtv.com/news/1457104/vma-lens-recap-the-story-behind-linkin-parks-in-the-end/ Is this where the live bluegrass version of Crawling (from the Frat Party DVD) came from? The live recording comes from a concert by the full band that those two guys play with. Not sure where or when it was recorded exactly. There's a clip of the two of them playing on the music video set on Frat Party though. Quote

Someone here can confirm if Chester really sang on the EP of this Davide Anselmi guy? http://www.anselmidavide.com/ http://www.discogs.com/Davide-Anselmi-Walking-Tragically-/release/7516692 I can't play the snippets of the song here and I really don't want to buy it just to find out if is legit. https://muzoic.com/en/release/album/davide-anselmi-walking-tragically-ep http://www.deezer.com/album/11374274 https://play.spotify.com/album/0sTDFOxmPDk81aDN51sXQF Edited October 20, 2015 by MetalNacional Quote

There's no song called "Looking in Your Eyes" anywhere on there. The last track "We Crashed Breathing" does have vocals on it, clearly not Chester though. Cool EP anyway though. Quote
Chris Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I have a question that I have a feeling Astat might know. What parts of the When They Come for Me drumline did Rob play live when they played the song? Is there a video that really shows him really well during the song? And a related question, if anyone actually knows (even though this is really specific): what size were the toms that Chester (I think he had 3 different size ones?) and Brad used on WTCFM? Quote

Not sure about sizes, but Chester had 2 rack toms and 2 floor toms, while Brad had 2 floor toms and a snare. I don't know exactly what Rob ended up playing on WTCFM but I know the other two drum parts, so I could probably figure it out by process of elimination with some work... Quote

iPodwithnomusic Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 What is the instrument that is played at the very start of Waiting for the End? I thought it was guitar, but it isn't in astat's guitar tabs. Quote

iPodwithnomusic Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Does anyone have a tab of what Phoenix plays on "A Line in the Sand"? Even if you could tell me what guitar parts he plays from Astat's guitar tabs, that would help. Quote

Even if you could tell me what guitar parts he plays from Astat's guitar tabs, that would help. A pretty safe bet is just to assume he plays the root notes of the powerchords. I'm not 100% sure that's what he's doing in ALITS, but you usually can get pretty close by following that. If you want the specific guitar number based on Astat's tabs, 1/2 is pretty much that. Astat Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 As far as I can tell Phoenix exclusively plays root notes on ALITS. Take the bottom note of Mike's guitar parts and you've pretty much got it. Quote

Chris Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 no, but i think it's gonna be released by the end of the next week It would have been better to say that off the bat instead of leading on as if it's the set in stone official date. Quote
lpliveusername Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Pretend to Be = Common sense, really. If it was finished in 2008 and started before then like the band said...again, Fender Stratocasters = MTM demo. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7379&page=53&do=findComment&comment=218235 The band has said Pretend to Be originated from a Minutes to Midnight demo but they went back and re-recorded it later on. I suppose it's possible that it was one of the final tracks, but I doubt it. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=6211&do=findComment&comment=116640 When/where did the band talk about Pretend To Be?
