almonds111133 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 not much of a remix.....wish they would've remixed it to reanimation proportions and delivered something completely different than the original song Quote
MONDREUS240 Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Its ok. Not as good as the original though, but it will probably fit better with the movie. I hope that they use the original for the video though. Quote
strandty Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I agree with Astat, more of a radio or single edit more than a remix, i like it but the original is such a powerful song but beleive this version will tie in better with the movie :-) Quote
sublimeric Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 The album version of Iridescent makes about as much sense in Transformers as a track like Shadow of the Day would, the energy just isn't there. ANY version of this song fails to fit in with an action movie. Still stumped as to why they chose it. Quote
Ree Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 ANY version of this song fails to fit in with an action movie. Still stumped as to why they chose it. It could just be used for the credits at the end. Quote
linkindaniel Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 (edited) who else thought that joe was going do some scratching and mike would of put down a badass verse at the bridge?! this version is ok though... more clubby Edited April 13, 2011 by linkindaniel Quote
ThePretender Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 More an alternate version or radio edit than a remix but they gonna release it as the "(Transformers Remix)". This version will be sent to the radios so this version will end up in the video, not the album version. Quote
Subs Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 ANY version of this song fails to fit in with an action movie. Still stumped as to why they chose it. Exactly. Hate to sound obvious, but W&K would have been the best candidate. Quote
Trang Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Probably the song goes for a emotional part of the movie... Won't watch it anyway. I think a remix would be cooler than a edit, though. Quote
mikeatron85 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 It's quite obvious where this is going to be placed in the film... In fact, I'd say even the timing is obvious. The 'hard/quick cut to credits' technique used in... I don't know... both of the movies preceding this one will be used again - with the Chester part of 'Let it go!' starting as this happens - so the final minute of this new version will play over the credits and probably a shortened version of the first 3 minutes will play just prior to the credits. Very fitting for the tone of the third film. People following the film are predicting a sad, yet triumphant ending (ie, they have won but not without great loss/sacrifice). It's quite clear then that this song(/sound) fits that kind of thing. Quote
woowoo0 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) LPYoutube The youtube channel changed. It's saying it's the new single and it links it to the iTunes download of ATS. It's more of a radio edit then a remix. Thou, the background is now Transformers. I hope they do something besides this. It's to similar to the original. Edited April 14, 2011 by woowoo0 Quote
maik_gianino Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I really like it, i think is a good "version" If LP put on the Single Cover, Iridescent Transformers Version will be much better than Iridescent Remix... Nobody can beat "New Divide". Quote
TheAfters Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) The Music Video will be of original track and the remix will be on the soundtracks i suppose. EDIT: Stupid Homer, Read the description its already on the soundtracks Edited April 14, 2011 by HomerSimpson Quote
Geki Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I think I'm the only one that loves this version of Iridescent. I always thought Iridescent was too slow for my likes, although I do think it's masterpiece. I like how the second verse comes in early after the first chorus, and I love the shortened choir part. The drum beat for the 1st verse and chorus is awesome too. I'm glad they did this instead of using the album version of Iridescent to be honest. Can't wait for T3. Quote

skyzlmt Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Let us pray that they did not book the studio time just for this... Quote
Pez Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I dont mind it. I do agree that it suits the movie better then the original. But the original is just too amazing, so much power in the lyrics and the music. Unfortunately I dont think this will live up to New Divide or What I've Done like it has in the past. Quote
FearOfTheDuck Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Let us pray that they did not book the studio time just for this... I doubt they'd have needed to. If I had the stems, I could have made that mix on my laptop. Quote
hawk Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I do like this version. But I feel that this doesn't really seem to be much of a remix for me. The Catalyst drums slapped into the intro, and other parts of the song, and then the guitar part moved under the chorus and shortened. I find that to be a little bit of a letdown. I was hoping for some epic drum build and shit, but this was meh. Quote
Pez Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Is there a Download Link floating around yet? HQ one. Or Itunes or something? Anyone know? Quote
