Thor Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 i dont know but is there like a limit on how many songs a band can put on their album. Quote
Sabi Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 (edited) I think they can't reach more like 80 minutes... but I'm not sure Edited July 26, 2010 by Sabi Quote
hi_c21 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 No, that's only for the retailers. ah, thank you. Quote
LPFreak64 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I think they can't reach more like 80 minutes... but I'm not sure 80 minutes is the max for each CD unless they overburn it, which a record label wouldn't do. They would just split it up to 2 CDs or ask LP to cut a track. Back to topic, the tracklist is epic and I can't wait to hear "The Requiem" (I'm guessing an intro like "Session"), "Robot Boy", "Jornada Del Muerto" (The name makes it sound like it will be a slow, eerie, haunting song), and "The Catalyst". Ree Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I love the way most of these track names sound more like movie names Quote
Aiman Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I don't know if this was mentioned already (I didn't check) but once again Japan gets 1 bonus track: Here's to hoping it's New Divide (Live) from The Catalyst single. Quote
Ashwhisker Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) I don't know if anyone's pointed this out because I totally TL;DR'd this thread, but Jornada Del Muerto is a volcano in New Mexico, and literally means "Journey of the Dead Man." I'm interested if the title actually appears in the song. Edited July 27, 2010 by Ash Quote
Geki Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 For some odd reason, I'm the most excited for 'Burning In The Skies'. It sounds like a really cool song, the title appeals to me. Quote

P1NKYI03 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 so i just read an interview with phoenix and i think the album is going to be 45 minutes long... Quote
leftshoe18 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 (edited) If the album is only 45 minutes that would mean a 3 minute average length and we know that there are at least six songs that are longer than 4 minutes. That would mean we'd have nine songs in the 1-3 minute range. I don't think that's going to happen. Edit: the six track lengths that we already have total 27:35 which would leave 17:25 for the remaining 9 songs on the album if it is indeed 45 minutes long. Edited July 29, 2010 by leftshoe18 Quote
P1NKYI03 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 i hope its not 45 minutes but here's the link to the interview http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ga...edal-of-honor/1 Quote
