Legend Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I remember back when we first got a glimpse of NMS live for the first time, everyone was going crazy. That was years ago. How does the song make you feel now? Man, I just put MTM back on my iTunes and I must say, I'm in shluv! Quote
LPxDC Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 i still remember that 30 second live clip ... i kept it on repeat and was like oooo ahh! neat! then the final product. I still love no more sorrow Quote
OZZY Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 No More Sorrow will own for many years to come Quote
1996_LP Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Always be my no1# MtM song for me For people who think LP have gone soft post MTM, NMS contradicts everything Quote
immortalsoul Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I hardly ever listen to it, to be honest. It had always been one of my favorite songs off MTM but I don't know why I'm not that much into it anymore. Same thing with "The Little Things Give You Away," by the way. The MTM songs I'm listening to the most until now are probably "What I've Done," "Valentine's Day," and "Leave Out All The Rest." Honestly, don't know why. Quote
linkinpark11 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) For people who think LP have gone soft post MTM, NMS contradicts everything totally agree with you, also given up, 17 sec scream!NMS is very powerful, it shoulda been a single, its much better then shadow of the day Edited April 22, 2010 by RiseFromTheAshez Quote
Aiman Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 totally agree with you, also given up, 17 sec scream! NMS is very powerful, it shoulda been a single, its much better then shadow of the day If anything I think it should've taken Given Up's place as a single. Quote
ChuckCheese Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 No More Sorrow is a freaking monster. One of the best LP songs, definitely my favorite track from MTM. I listened to every audience recording I could find nonstop before MTM was released, that song blew my mind. And it definitely should've replaced Given Up as a single, Shadow of the Day was a great single, it did very well and has become very popular. Quote
parth196 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 no more sorrow is BY FAR my favorite live track. i still remember my first linkin park concert (mountain view 2007) where they opened with it and it was absolutely fucking EPIC. i still clearly remember the kabuki, the flashing lights, and the shadows of the band members like it was yesterday. that was a fucking epic show, and since then no more sorrow has been my favortie live track ever. linkinpark11 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 If anything I think it should've taken Given Up's place as a single. naw i have to disagree, shadow of the day is the worse single of all 5, not saying its a bad song, but no more sorrow is better Quote
Pez Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 naw i have to disagree, shadow of the day is the worse single of all 5, not saying its a bad song, but no more sorrow is better May be one of the worst but most likely one of the most successful ones. Quote
feelthless Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 i still remember that 30 second live clip ... i kept it on repeat and was like oooo ahh! neat! then the final product. I still love no more sorrow Can you give me a link to that snippet..xD? Quote
Geki Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I still love NMS. I remember the first time it was played in Berlin and me and my best friend at the time stayed up all night waiting for a live rip...when it finally came out, I remember falling in love with the melody. It kind of pumps me up when I'm playing it loud, maybe it's just the lyrics. Quote
cstebila Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Never cared for No More Sorrow too much, to me it just seemed like a lame half-assed thought political song. Quote
Aiman Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 It's amazing live and a it's got some great drum work. Props to Rob! Quote
LPPRJKT4 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Personally one of my all time favorite tracks by the band and to me, it's the new APFMH in the live sets since the band barely plays that song anymore =( Quote
VavourasLP Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 It breaks the place down live..especially the bridge..the ultimate song to express political anger! Quote
LPxDC Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 It's amazing live and a it's got some great drum work. Props to Rob!this. fucking love this song and love playing it on guitar hero 3 haha Quote
cstebila Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Changed my mind, its not that bad a song, in fact, I kinda like it Quote
GraDoN Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 never been in my top 20 LP songs, i dislike the harder songs on MTM for some reason, BIO is awesome though Quote
annare Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 ^That's because BIO is not a hard song lol I used to love NMS, but it's been a while since I last listened to it. It's not one of the songs I wanna listen to when I'm in a Linkin Park mood. Quote
crusader25 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I love listening to the long introed live version more than the studio version coz it sounds amazing. It gets me up every morning with my fist pumping and gets me psyched for poker at night every week. Quote
Jesper Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I Love It it's powerfull, I played it a lot when I was in a fight with some people lol Quote
LinkinMark Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Checking out the oldest topics lol. The live intro is awesome. The song just makes me want to drum along with it! Quote
Twiilite Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 No More Sorrow. My absolute favourite heavy song from Linkin Park. That e-bow still gives me chills to this day when I play the song at max. I wish that they would have implemented the brilliantly epic extended intro from their live shows in the studio version, but I suppose that's what sets the live version apart and makes it so much more awesome. Of all the concerts I have watched on Youtube/DSP's/Torrents etc, I have NEVER heard a less than solid performance of this song. That is something I literally cannot say about any other song from the band. Quote
