LPLStaff Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Good news - a Record Store Day release this year includes Dead By Sunrise's Out of Ashes... with Morning After as a bonus track AND the first show of the start of the 2009 era for the band - Las Vegas 2009! This is the show where the band played five songs at the Steve Wyrick Theater with live debuts for Crawl Back In and In the Darkness. Fans may know of this show from the Morning After and Let Down releases over time. Dead By Sunrise sounds quite good acoustically and this is sure to be a collectors item as it is the only release of this set in full. Acoustic setlist: Crawl Back In Walking in Circles In the Darkness Let Down Morning After Who is excited? Quote
lpliveusername Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 I'm entirely happy with this release for sure. This is a huge deal. Fans have been asking for the full show for years. Looking forward to grabbing this vinyl and listening to the acoustic tracks. Quote

LPLStaff Posted February 15, 2024 Author Posted February 15, 2024 This is great, wow. The band sounds fantastic at this show and I listen to that Morning After quite a bit. Happy for Ryan and Amir because they have been trying hard since 2017 to get more Dead By Sunrise out there and they've encountered roadblock after roadblock with it. The label just doesn't want to do it is what it sounds like. Talinda getting this over the hump for them is great, and I am positive no one is happier about this release than Ryan and Amir. Finally some DBS progress is being made. Quote
LPsMart Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Is this the first time Morning After is being released on Out of Ashes too? Quote

JZLP-Benningstrong Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Today we have a huge announcement: OUT OF ASHES is being released in a limited special DELUXE DOUBLE Black Ice vinyl pack!! Specially mastered for vinyl!! OUT 4/20/24!! https://recordstoreday.com/ This vinyl will contain the much requested acoustic promotional performance we did in Las Vegas in conjunction with Club Tattoo at Linq Hotel Las Vegas! We had always intended to release these versions as we were shocked that the songs sounded so good acoustically! I remember watching the video footage of the performance with Chester - he turned to me and smiled and said “well, I guess we can book acoustic shows too!! This sounds amazing!!”. We are super grateful to Talinda for pushing to make this happen as well as our friends @ Warner Bros records + Machine Shop! If it wasn’t for Talinda we would have never had the push we needed to get this material out. I have to tell you: it was wonderful to to have conversations about Dead By Sunrise again, and discuss material and release ideas… really felt good. We hope you enjoy it!!! Dead By Sunrise – Out of Ashes (Deluxe Vinyl): 2xLP (Black Ice Vinyl). Limited to 7,500 copies in USA/Canada and 2,500 copies in the rest of the world. Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington joined forces with longtime friends and members of Orgy and Julien-K to form alternative rock outfit Dead By Sunrise. The group’s critically acclaimed debut Out of Ashes dropped in 2009 and remains a fan favorite. Exclusive to RSD, Out of Ashes Deluxe Vinyl (with Vegas Acoustic Songs) will be available for the first time ever in North America. This double-LP consists of the original 12-track album in addition to a Japanese bonus track entitled “Morning After.” Plus, it contains five sought-after unreleased live acoustic cuts originally recorded in Las Vegas in 2009. JZLP-Benningstrong Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 (edited) I wonder why Talinda approved this but not the track w Slash Does DBS has some other unreleased tracks or full shows? Edited February 15, 2024 by JZLP-NaughtyNottingham Quote
SFNL14 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Holy shit this is amazing! I've always wanted this show, great to see it being released! Quote
leftshoe18 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 This is super cool. While I'm not a big DBS guy, I appreciate a release like this for the fans who are. The acoustic versions are great though since it doesn't have the (in my opinion) over-produced sound of the album. Quote
