wesleylpbr Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) today, Rock in Rio confirmed System of a Down as headliner on 24th September, 2015. am I crazy to think that LP can play BEFORE SOAD just like KROQ AAC? http://rockinrio.com/rio/blog/system-of-a-down-confirmado-no-rock-in-rio/ Edited November 18, 2014 by wesleylpbr Quote
lpplus Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 It's a whole fucking week...wow...I think LP can handle another day Quote
RogueSoul Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 Idk, I feel like SOAD performing next to confirms Linkin Park performing. Given all the hype surrounding this by Brazilian media I highly doubt they'd play under SOAD though. Quote
FearOfTheDuck Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 In terms of Europe, thought I'd add that LP are rumoured for Reading & Leeds in August. (Along with Mumford & Sons and the Libertines, ugh) Quote

RogueSoul Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 Just so there's no discrepancy about this - I'm leaving in the 2nd North American tour just because I feel like Mike was only talking about adding dates to the CURRENT tour, not dismissing the possibility of a second tour coming later. Not that anyone said anything yet, but I'd thought I'd clarify before anyone does Quote
GlassCastles Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Mike said no additional NA dates in 2015, so get rid of the 2nd NA tour. Quote
sublimeric Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I'd love to see LP live again, but can't justify $100 for a floor ticket to see them in New Hampshire, or close to that to be stuck in a bleacher seat 10 miles away. I hope the tour goes well, but I think the ATS tour is the last LP show in my price range. Quote
RogueSoul Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Updated the China rumor. Any updates/new rumors on anything else? Quote
NimaLP Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I don't see the date for Rock On The Range festival. Has it been canceled? Quote
Igussek Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Januray, February - USA, June - Festivals in USA, July, August - Europe and October - Asia Quote
RogueSoul Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 I don't see the date for Rock On The Range festival. Has it been canceled? No, I just forgot to add it in If something officially announced isn't listed here, double check the 2015 page first. Quote
Chargedvt Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Hey guys, new to the site but was wondering if anyone had heard anything lately regarding an Australian tour? I have heard completely nothing anywhere about it, but I have a feeling March/April could be a possibility. We would have to hear something VERY soon though.... Quote
RogueSoul Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Added rumor for Mayhem Festival. Quote
Geki Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I'm really skeptical about the whole Mayhem thing. I honestly don't think LP would fit very well on that tour. I would definitely go and see them if they were to play on Mayhem, but I just think it doesn't sound like a tour that LP would do. Quote

Mayhem is a metal festival and, while LP's latest album could help them get by, the set they're playing now would definitely lead to a poor reception. The crowd that would attend Mayhem Festival probably wouldn't be too interested in, well, pretty much everything following Wastelands. Quote
Sethxero1138 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Any rumor that the band will come to Allentown I have Austism I would like to meet the band for the first time Quote
RogueSoul Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 ... ... Keep in mind, LP's playing a lot of metal festivals this year already. Rock On The Range, Loudwire, Summerfest. Mayhem isn't too much of a stretch. Quote
GlassCastles Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I wouldn't really classify those as "metal festivals". They're much more rock-oriented, which Linkin Park fits in with. Mayhem is a significantly heavier and much more metal-oriented festival. Quote
RogueSoul Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Mayhem in recent years has definitely been veering towards heavier rock and post-hardcore. Last year was Avenged Sevenfold, the year before was Rob Zombie. If those guys can headline, I don't see why LP can't. Playing stuff like BID and COG might not sit well, though. Quote
GlassCastles Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Yeah, like I said earlier. Linkin Park could play Mayhem, just not with the set they've been playing recently. Quote
hahninator Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I think Slipknot will headline Mayhem. Quote
Geki Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I think Slipknot will headline Mayhem. Me too. Also, I think LP would be slaughtered if they played shit like Ballad Medley, COG, BID, Numb, FM, and stuff like that. They would need to bring a brand new set that was ''custom'' for Mayhem with a lot of heavy shit like APFMH, Don't Stay, Figure.09, FTI, NMS, Qwerty, Victimized, KTTK, ALITS, War, etc. to win over the crowd. Quote
hahninator Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I don't think we will ever see them play another show without BID, Numb, FM, etc...or at least a majority of those. The band loves those singles. Quote
HyruleKing Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I don't think we will ever see them play another show without BID, Numb, FM, etc...or at least a majority of those. The band loves those singles. I think that the band plays those singles because the fanbase loves it, not the band, especially radio singles like BID. Quote
