  1. I didn't flame anybody. You can't get any of these songs by joining the LPU anyway, none of them are from the LPU7 CD. Once a year of the LPU is over, the "exclusiveness" of any of the songs from that year or any year before it is completely irrelevant because they're no longer part of the LPU package anyway. If I felt like it, I'd throw the LPU 1-6 CDs up on Demonoid right now and have absolutely no regrets about doing it. And once December 4th rolls around, I'd do the same with LPU7.
  2. The CD is mastered really poorly, it's all distorted. The DSP of the Milton Keynes show sounds much better. The audio on the DVD is a lot better than the CD though.
  3. SONGS FROM THE UNDERGROUND IS NOT THE LPU8 CD. When will you people figure that out? Jesus fucking christ.
  4. That's on both LPTV and Making of Meteora, nothing new.
  5. WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. You change your opinion about LP-related stuff all the time, but Kerrang isn't allowed to? They're not allowed to give a good review of a DVD/show that took place in THEIR OWN COUNTRY, but it's perfectly alright for you to proclaim any show that takes place in Atlanta as the "best show ever?" I guess that makes you a hypocrite by your own definition. You're obviously still being bitter about Linkin Park taking Projekt Revolution outside the US. Let it go already.
  6. Alright, let's say 5,000 new LPU members sign up via the LPU8 package, and 5,000 new LPU members sign up via Songs From the Underground. Are you saying that the people who buy the LPU8 package are somehow going to be less annoying or do less damage to your chances of getting a M&G? Because you're being completely delusional if you think that. Every new LPU member has equal potential to be an idiot. Every new LPU member decreases your chances of getting a M&G by the same amount. Doesn't matter one bit where they sign up from. You're basically trying to say that statistical probability is somehow more biased toward one type of LPU member vs. another, which is absolutely untrue. I can stand not being right. I've been wrong before. What I can't stand is when people like you act like you know what you're talking about without even stopping for a second to think about how fucking ridiculous your thought process is. You're letting your elitist attitude do all the talking for you, rather than actually using your brain.
  7. Nope. There's an overdub that fixes an out-of-tune guitar part on the intro to No More Sorrow, an overdub that fixes a Mike lyrical mistake in From the Inside, and multiple instances of pitch correction done to Chester's vocals on From the Inside, No More Sorrow, and Lying From You. I've now compared everything through Hands Held High (not counting the 4 tracks that aren't on the CD). Yes, I know the DSPs are edited. I'm saying that RTR is MORE EDITED than the DSP.
  8. Refraining from being a dick and flaming you, I'll simply ROFL.
  9. I'm assuming the photos are the ones in the booklet, but I'm puzzled as to why it would mention the full performance AND "hidden bonus features."
  10. I don't get it. Why would Phoenix say that they were "still working out what the bonus features will be" when the 3 missing tracks is all that's on there in the way of bonuses? What's the point of cutting up the tracklist in the first place if you're including all the songs on the DVD anyway? Oh wait, this is Linkin Park we're talking about here. They think we're all stupid and will twist the meaning of the word "extra" to get away with not including anything on the DVD other than the concert and assume nobody will be wise enough to call them out on it. And if anybody cares to know, I've started A/B'ing the RTR tracks vs. the MK DSP, and I've already found substantial editing in both From the Inside and No More Sorrow (Mike said that RTR is unedited on Loveline - he lied). OSC and Given Up appear to be unedited though.
  11. I'm still kind of holding out hope that there's some kind of hidden feature somewhere, like on Frat Party. Has anybody actually ripped the DVD to their computer and confirmed that there's no extra chapters in there anywhere?
  12. There are no other special features. And we care because it's absolutely FUCKING POINTLESS to cut 3 songs from the show and make it incomplete, then move them to the end of the DVD. Why not just leave the order alone so it all flows together like it's actually, you know...LIVE?
  13. Session was the intro to all Linkin Park shows in February-March of 2003.
  14. It still won't flow together properly no matter what. The gaps where the missing songs would be in the main feature have been edited so the show flows together without them. Dumbest thing Linkin Park has ever done.
  15. According to the news on LP.com/LPU, the release of Road to Revolution has been moved up by one day, to the 24th. - Don't forget to vote for Linkin Park in this contest! You Don't have to sign up at all! http://www.fuse.tv/music/best-of-2008/#votePanel
  16. ROFL @ yet ANOTHER public, easily accessible source mentioning Third Encore as LP's rehearsal studio. I still can't believe LPU HQ threw a bitch fit about it being mentioned on this website.
  17. My thoughts: -The newsletter is pretty nice this year. Not really a whole lot in the way of new information, but it's definitely got more total content than past newsletters. The option of buying newsletters from all 7 years is nice too, I may do that to get the 2.0 and one of the 1.0 ones. -I'm glad the LPU guitar picks are making a return for LPU8. I missed collecting them. -The earbud things are at least a better idea than the shoelaces. It seems like EVERYONE has an iPod these days, so I'm sure some people will enjoy them. -The Songs from the Underground cover was actually already in the Best Buy ad for it, but this is a bit bigger/clearer picture than that one was. Looks cool. -I personally think the live versions of My December and Hunger Strike from Songs from the Underground will be on LPU8, along with the new remix of Leave Out All the Rest. As for what else will be on there, I'm not even going to speculate.
  18. There may not even be a What I've Done demo. It was the last song recorded for the album, after they'd already finished recording at Laurel. I've always been under the impression that they just went into the studio at NRG with a rough idea of how the song should sound, recorded it, and that was the final version. If any song on MTM doesn't have a demo, WID is it.
  19. Anyone can purchase an LPU membership if they want to. Anyone can purchase songs for the Underground if they want to. There is absolutely no difference whatsoever. Funny you talk about people being "n00bs" on LPU when you sure as hell still act like one yourself.
  20. The live version of LOATR is not from Milton Keynes, it's from Clarkston. Leave Out All The Rest [Live From Projekt Revolution, Detroit MI, Aug. 22 07] -From the Windows Media clip on the streaming site. So this is essentially the same single we got in July, with the remix replacing the live version of In Pieces, and 2 enhanced videos as a bonus.
  21. Newsflash: ANYONE has ALWAYS been able to purchase past LPU CDs on eBay. This is NO DIFFERENT WHATSOEVER. LPU music has never been and will never be exclusive. LPU music has never been and will never be exclusive. LPU music has never been and will never be exclusive. LPU music has never been and will never be exclusive. LPU music has never been and will never be exclusive. Grow a brain and quit bitching about it. Please.
  22. http://lplive.net/shows/20011020.php Setlist/info for this show is wrong. Forgotten was not played at all, and there's just a small cut (about 10 seconds) during the beginning of Crawling on the recording. Also, it was only 2 members of the X-Ecutioners (Total Eclipse and Mista Sinista) who came out and did a short DJ set after A Place for My Head. Info should be something like this: Setlist: 01. With You 02. Runaway 03. Papercut 04. By Myself 05. Points Of Authority 06. Step Up 07. Pushing Me Away 08. In The End 09. A Place For My Head 10. Crawling 11. One Step Closer Source 1: Video - AUD (Hi8: Sony 2300 Hi8) Taper: Lividz Time: 44 mins Format: DVD (M) / 1.48 GB Sample: (Pushing Me Away - 15 sec) - Download (right click & save) Comments: Right shot. Small cut during 'Crawling.' Show Notes: - Total Eclipse and Mista Sinista from the X-Ecutioners came out and did a short DJ set after 'A Place For My Head.'
  23. Don't Stay - Before Minutes to Midnight came out, I seriously thought this was one of those songs they would NEVER play anymore. I'm shocked it's survived as long as it has. Cure for the Itch - Nothing against the song, I think it was really cool that they dusted it off in '07. But most of one touring cycle is plenty enough for it, time to put it to rest and stick Session in its place or something like that. Pushing Me Away (Piano Version) - This was a really cool thing at the Japan shows in '06, and it was cool to see them continue to play it for the first part of '07...but it got REALLY old. Unless they do something cool like have the album version in one set, the piano version in one set, and the Reanimation version in one set, this song lasted about a year longer than it should have. From the Inside - I love this song, but they've been playing it with the same intro since late 2003, and it really just seems like filler when they play it live these days. Unless they give it an awesome new intro or something, time to give it a break. The Little Things Give You Away - Another great song that I love, but it's kind of similar to Hands Held High in that they've never been able to do it live in a way that really does justice to the song. It's also a total snoozer with the crowd whenever they play it. I also think it's time that they start rotating more of their older singles - In the End, Breaking the Habit, Numb, Somewhere I Belong, they're all so overplayed, there's no need for them all to be played at every single show. Leave Out All the Rest also did poorly compared to the rest of the MTM singles, they should rotate that as well.
  24. Those strings sound like they're in the album version to me. In order for a song to qualify as a remix, it has to have something in it that's not present in the original version, at least in my opinion.
