  1. No? It's not like Mike's going to be featured on it, he's just helping to produce some random indie artist's song.
  2. This certainly gives me hope that the DBS album will see a release relatively soon, seeing as DBS/Julien-K are in essentially the same situation with their albums.
  3. I just don't get how people can complain about the long-duration shots in this video. It seems like EVERYONE complains about how LIT's editing is too jumpy and the camera never stays in one place for long enough. You get the opposite of that, and you still complain.

    LPU 7.0 But SBDs?

I said I was going to a long time ago, but I never did. I'll try and get around to it after I finish my HT live CD I'm working on.
  5. Let's see, if you would have actually READ THE THREAD, you would know that Brad and Phoenix aren't even on the fucking stage until the last 30 seconds of the song. Once they come out, there are shots of both of them. There are plenty of shots of Mike and Rob.
  6. Found some more information about this show: http://lplive.net/shows/20001128.php LP opened for Unified Theory, and the show/event was 102.1 FM The Edge's New Music Night. Found this in a list of shows by an uploader on Dime: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=214104 UNIFIED THEORY - Nov 28/00 @ The Horseshoe Tavern / 102.1 FM The Edge "New Music Night" - w/Linkin Park - Toronto, ON (INCOMPLETE) Also could potentially mean a second source for the show, if that's not the same one that already exists.
  7. It's kind of hard to show shots of the whole band throughout the song when Brad and Phoenix aren't on stage at all until the last chorus. I think it's just fine, other than the only shot of Joe just showing his hand, lol. I'm glad there's finally a proshot video of this song that actually has a shot of Phoenix playing guitar. Although don't hold your breath just yet, guys. This may not be the same edit that appears on the DVD. The LIT promo video for Numb had a ton of different shots from the actual DVD. Sounds way better than the DSP to me.
  8. Nevermind on the vertical color bars, changing to the IP.Board Pro skin fixes that. The other 2 things, particularly the lack of a "View First Unread Post" button, really bother me though.
  9. Why is the forum I'm looking at right now completely different from the one I was looking at earlier today when I saw you make that post, then? The "View First Unread Post" option is completely gone, having to hit both the Quote AND Reply buttons to quote someone is stupid, the vertical color blocks going through each post is incredibly hard on the eyes...to name a few things.

  11. I think they need to like, schedule themselves for the Hultsfred Festival for next year right now and spend the next 8 months making sure they're all healthy so they can actually play it. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif I'm sure they'll head back to China eventually, they've said many times that the '07 Shanghai show was one of their favorites. They probably won't make up all 5 dates, but they'll definitely play Shanghai/Beijing again in the future, and they always hit Taipei on their Asian tours anyway.
  12. The longest they could have "planned" this was less than a year. Mike says right there in his blog that the LPU8 CD won't be all live tracks because they heard people saying that's not what they wanted - LPU8 is a response to the backlash from LPU7, so if they recorded new material for LPU8, they recorded it after LPU7 came out. From the time LPU7 was released, the only real time they could have done any significant studio work was as follows: -December-January, which is doubtful because they took some time off for the holidays, plus they had rehearsals for Europe, and LPU7 had JUST come out anyway. -March-May, again, doubtful because we know Chester did more work on DBS at this point, plus Mike was busy working on stuff for his art show. -Late August-Early October, which is also doubtful because, as I said, they obviously had work to do on Road to Revolution. Not necessarily, they could have unrealeased stuff prior to LPU 07, and since they heard about all this backlash, they decided to bring it out. No new album material could strictly mean no new material from the one they're working on right now, or it could mean, out of all their albums, no new material is going to be based off any of them possibly. maybe some Xero stuff? ...I never said anything about old unreleased material. Unreleased stuff prior to LPU 7 =/= "an album of songs recorded exclusively for LPU," which is what the person I quoted was talking about.

  14. LOL, I know this is bold, but I have always argued this as well. Being that I loved Hybrid Theory and Meteroa equally, and this album grew on HT, I think it could be considered just an amazing version of HT. I'm am not taking away from the other albums at all, but this album is freaking amazing. PLEASE REANIMATION 2.0!!!! That's largely how I feel as well. I think in the case of the 9 songs I listed that I like better, they all retain good parts of the Hybrid Theory versions while simultaneously adding more good stuff (or in the case of By_Myslf, just blow the original version away). And in the case of the remixes of A Place for My Head and Forgotten, they're both really good as well, but they're so different that it's hard to even compare them to the originals. H! Vltg3 and Enth e Nd are the only 2 tracks on the album that I don't like a whole lot, but even Enth e Nd has some cool stuff about it (Mike's verses and the bassline).
  15. 09.09.2001 Stockholm, Sweden, Solnahallen, European Headline Tour LP played Stockholm in 2007.
  16. When would they have recorded them? The gap between PR08 and what would have been the Asia shows was the only real lengthy break they've had recently, and they almost certainly spent most of that time working on Road to Revolution stuff. They might have been able to crank out like, ONE new song for the LPU8 CD, but that's absolutely ridiculous to even suggest that it will be an LPU-exclusive EP of all new material.
  17. wut about joe he hasnt played guitar on stage both Rob, Joe, and Chaz have only played one instrument live. Rob - drums Chaz - guitar Joe - his whole DJ setup Tuscon, AZ Projekt Revolution 2003 show - Brad and Joe switched instruments and messed around for a little bit. can someone find video for this? At the to date only Swedish show, Mike got a brah in his face There are no recordings of the Tuscon '03 show.

  19. It's got everything that's good about the Hybrid Theory version with better guitar, a lot more going on instrumentally, and Rasco/Planet Asia's added verses are dope. Cheapshot and Vin Skully did an awesome job remixing the song too. The Hybrid Theory version is incredibly repetitive from the first verse up until the bridge.
  20. Rob Bourdon is the only member of Linkin Park who has not played guitar on stage at least once.
  21. Just because the band says something will be released doesn't mean it'll actually happen. See: Machine Shop Mixtape Vol. 2 new song, Minutes to Midnight B-sides. Plus, the missing songs probably won't have the proper transitions from the existing songs, so it'll be impossible to make a proper "full" recording of the show anyway.
  22. lmao let me guess you american yeah thourt so just cose are gig was filmed and made it to dvd just be glad theres a dvd coming out god Joe_lp is not American, and no DVD at all is better than an incomplete one, IMO.
  23. It never has been in the past, I can remember having to wait until people got their 4.0 and 5.0 packages in the mail to find out exactly what the tracklisting was (3.0 was known ahead of time because they said it was "tracks that were not on the Live in Texas CD," but even then we didn't know what the enhanced content was). It'll probably be sold at Best Buy stores like it has been the past 2 years and leak ahead of the release though, and even if it doesn't, we'll know the tracklisting as soon as it can be bought in stores. As for my predictions, I still think there will be something live on there. I could see them throwing a live version of We Made It on there, maybe even the one from the Third Encore secret show. A proper recording of Chester on The Outsider would be nice, but 99.9% sure that won't happen since they'd have to work out legalities with both Ashes Divide AND A Perfect Circle. A new instrumental track is pretty much a given, unless they do a studio version of Wake 2.0. As for old stuff that we KNOW exists, there's an unreleased With You remix featuring Ryu from Styles of Beyond that didn't make Reanimation, the demo of Enth e Nd with the original Hybrid Theory lyrics, the Team Sleep remix of My December, as many as 4 Minutes to Midnight b-sides, a bunch of Minutes to Midnight seeds/demos...they've said themselves that there's essentially nothing leftover from the Meteora sessions that would be usable, but maybe they'll dig up something. I seriously doubt it'll be a covers album, and I can almost guarantee you're wrong about them recording covers in the studio. Unless you're specifically recording a cover for something (Little Boxes) or recording a covers album, that's a huge waste of studio time.
  24. Unless the 4 missing tracks are made available in .VOB format and the Road to Revolution DVD literally has "INSERT MISSING SONG HERE" messages where the 4 songs are missing so the whole show will flow together perfectly if you insert the missing videos into it, I am NOT buying this product. Someone will probably get it for me for Christmas since everyone knows how much I love Linkin Park, but I'm not going to buy it myself or ask anyone for it. Another thing that just popped into my head, will this DVD be censored like LIT was? None of the preorder information I've seen makes any note of a Parental Advisory or there being clean/explicit versions.
