I wonder if this is something that was recorded a while back, since it's an "outtakes" EP.

Do Linkin Park really care about their fans?
Astat replied to Alexonlyalex's topic in Everything Linkin Park
It wasn't Warner who specifically disallowed the release of the Australian shows, it was Warner Music Australia. They claimed that doing so would hurt regional album sales of Minutes to Midnight. Metallica also does their show releases in a substantially different manner than LP does. -
Why on earth would someone post a fake setlist for a show that already happened, that we already know the setlist for? And yes, Rob does the setlists. I believe Mike mentioned that in the last LPU chat he did.
-
I really don't think changing the order slightly, substituting DOYS/LFY for the album version, and dropping Reading My Eyes qualifies as "changing the setlist to something softer" like you guys are saying...all the soft songs that were played at Milton Keynes would have still been played in either setlist.

http://linkinpark.com/photo/all/setlist_mk...?scope=uploaded - Original photo source (I rotated it to make it easier to read). Posted on LP.com by a member from the UK who attended the show. Also, I believe Jay-Z did DOYS/LFY (without the LP verses) as part of his set that day? I know he did at Glastonbury. If he did, that's probably why they dropped that one and played LFY by itself instead.

Info about preliminary Milton Keynes setlist: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1124

I'm sure some of you remember reading reports that Reading My Eyes was on the preliminary setlist at Milton Keynes, but wasn't performed. Well we now have confirmation of that, along with a couple other interesting surprises... -Reading My Eyes would have been played after Points of Authority, as it had been at other Set X shows on the '08 European Tour. -Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You was supposed to be performed as the first song with Jay-Z, but was dropped in favor of the regular Lying From You. -Bleed it Out was originally supposed to be the last song before the encore, and Jigga What/Faint was supposed to close the show, but BIO was moved down to the very end. Source: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b168/bul...645IMG_0794.jpg (thanks to whoever it was who uploaded this in the photos section on LP.com) If you take a look at the setlist in the DSP from the Milton Keynes show, you'll notice that it says "FINAL" at the top of the page, which indicates that it was changed at some point. This is obviously an earlier version of the setlist, before it was changed (maybe the setlist even went through multiple versions, who knows). Also, there's some writing to the left of the song titles on the picture I posted, and while it's pretty faint, you can see that it says "Cut" next to Reading My Eyes. I was going to just post this in the Site Corrections thread, but I figured not many people would see it there. lilIverson09 Edit - I decided to move this to newswire this a really good find. Do you think the MK show would have been better if this was the setlist for the night? Discuss!

How can you say that LP's been playing the same setlist for the last 2 years when they didn't routinely do any setlist rotating AT ALL until the summer of 2007? Their setlists are more varied now than they have ever been. They played a total of 35 different songs on the Minutes to Midnight touring cycle alone! And this is just a theory, but LP's shows starting in mid-2007 were some of the longest concerts they've ever played, up to an hour and 40 minutes sometimes. Venues/cities have curfews, LP has to be off the stage by a certain time almost anywhere they play, and more talking between songs makes the show run even longer. I'd gladly take a 22-song setlist with zero talking over a 20-song setlist with a bunch of talking. -
Those pictures have been on that website for years.

I've honestly NEVER seen a collaboration happen between multiple artists playing a festival. Collaborations almost always happen as a result of the friendships that are made on a tour where the same bands are playing together every night and seeing each other all the time. There's no way to really plan/rehearse collabs ahead of time with a festival. And besides, LP and NIN's versions of Wish are in two completely different keys, not to mention that Chester doesn't even sing the lyrics the same way Trent does.
-
Pooch already said he's trying to see if the schedule will work out for him to mix LP's summer concerts.
-
25.07.2009 Pori, Finland, Kirjurinluoto, Sonisphere Festival should be 25.07.2009 Pori, Finland, Kirjurinluoto Arena, Sonisphere Festival and 01.08.2009 Knebworth, England, Knebworth Park, Sonisphere Festival should be 01.08.2009 Knebworth, England, Knebworth House, Sonisphere Festival All concerts in Knebworth are held on the grounds of the Knebworth House. LPU/LP.com also list the Knebworth show as being in Stevenage, but I know for a fact that Knebworth House is in Knebworth.
-
I think the odds of them releasing DSPs for any of these summer shows increase substantially if Pooch winds up mixing for them again, since they know he can do it and trust him to do a good job. I think they'd be much more open to selling DSPs if they knew in advance that they had somebody they could count on to mix them. If they have a new FOH guy though, they probably won't see a point in working out how to do DSPs with him just for a handful of shows.

Brad played the entire Family Values Tour with a broken foot. That's been a well-known fact for years.
-
He also mentions him before It's Goin' Down at the same show: "That's DJ Lapdance, and that's DJ Z-Trip...oh wait, his name's not Lapdance tonight, that's DJ Afterparty." Z-Trip and Riff Raff were usually the 2 people who came out on IGD on that tour (sometimes just one or the other), so either it's a name Mike made up for Riff Raff, or it's Joe and Mike's just screwing around with him. Mike introduces Mr. Hahn after his scratch solo right after My December, so Joe was for sure at that show. I think Mike's just messing around with him.

The LPU was full of literally NOTHING but Fort Minor-related news back in 2005-2006. Whatever's going on that's LP-related, LPU will post about it (the same goes for LP.com). And it's not like there's a Chester Bennington/Dead By Sunrise fanclub.
-
The pictures on LPU are not from the new LP album, they're from Chester recording his solo album.

That IS NOT what Level 7 was AT ALL. Way to COMPLETELY misread the article. What you just referred to are the accusations brought against Henry Nicholas, which had NOTHING to do with Level 7 itself. Level 7 wasn't a recording studio either, it was supposed to be a new record label/musical artist development company. Level 7 = Chester's version of Machine Shop, essentially. I know you said not to kick you, but WOW.
-
Absolutely zero possibility that it was anyone in LP. Ryan says right there that they needed to be there for their friend, meaning NOT going on the tour, meaning that the friend was someone at home. The friend was probably either Kenji Kato or Henry Nicholas. I'm still clueless as to why the tie-up with Level 7 would legally prevent Julien-K from touring in Europe but not the United States though...

As someone who actually saw QWERTY live in '07, it really wasn't anything special, in fact it was probably the weakest song in the set when I saw them. The band members weren't all on the same page as far as how many times each part repeats, and the song sounded really sloppy as a result. Unless they can nail down a solid arrangement of it like they had in '06 (which would be hard since 3 of them like the live version better and 3 of them like the studio version better), I'd rather not see it come back. P5HNG ME A*WY. Ditch the piano version, it's boring as hell. Or at least rotate all 3 versions, one per set. I'd also like to see them try some more Reanimation material live.
-
I would be very surprised if Knebworth isn't taped, it's just a matter of who tapes it and how likely they are to share it...
-
I was wrong, it was actually on the European Headline Tour: http://onstagemag.com/ar/performance_linki...magic/index.htm Dated January 2002: "I caught up with Shinoda, Hahn, and Delson just as Linkin Park was about to embark on a headlining tour of England, France, Germany, Holland, and Austria." Delson: We'll be using sound checks on the headline tour to work out some new and old material to incorporate into the set, songs like “My December” and “Carousel.” There's actually a LOT of interesting info in this interview. Mike says there are 2,000 copies of the original HTEP, not 1,000, collaborations with Z-Trip and Team Sleep for Reanimation are mentioned, as are Chester collaborating with DJ Lethal and Mike/Joe collaborating with the Visionaries (keep in mind this is back in the summer of 2001).
-
People HAVE asked the band if they've played Part of Me/Carousel live before, numerous times in fact. The majority of the answers have basically been "I don't remember," and Phoenix said that they played Carousel once. It's also known from an interview with Brad that they rehearsed Carousel during soundchecks on the Family Values Tour in '01.

The United States has pretty specific laws against there being a monopoly with any type of business, which this would pretty much turn into if Live Nation and Ticketmaster merged. The government has sure been pretty lazy about enforcing said laws in recent years though.
-
Almost positive that it's confused with And One. And One is even mislabled as Part of Me on some filesharing networks.
