Flaming totally solves everything. Yes, I have an "attitude" because I speak the truth. I'm also older than probably 80% of the other people on this site. Rapidshare is a shitty service, pretty much all of its competitors are better than it is, I think just about anybody can see that. I fail to see how pointing that out means I have an attitude, if anybody other than me would have made that post neither of you would even give a shit.

This means absolutely nothing. Unless the band comes right out and says "the setlist at Knebworth will be different from what we're playing at other shows on this tour," it's foolish to assume so based on this interview. New song = New Divide Few surprises = DBS, new POA intro, Session

Why do people continue to use Rapidshare? It is hands down the SHITTIEST file hosting service in the world with its limit of 10 downloads per file. Megaupload is better. 4shared is better. Zshare is better. You could pick any free file hosting site at random, and it would be better. I seriously think LPLive should ban all links to Rapidshare, that's how awful it is. But thanks for sharing. Hopefully 10 other people don't download part 2 while I'm waiting for part 1 to finish.

Honestly, it's a pretty heavy set, compared to what they did throughout most of 07-08 anyway. A lot of the songs that they dropped are softer ones (PMA piano, TLTGYA, In Pieces), and the softer songs that they are playing are big hit singles, which are the songs the Metallica fans are more likely to know.

http://www.lplive.net/2009.php - There's a space between Istanbul and Athens that shouldn't be there.

This has to be the shortest amount of time between the announcement of a show and the show itself ever, for a major performance like this ever. I think it's a bit unfair to give people just 12 days of warning, honestly. But hopefully this will be a good show for those who can make it.

Oh christ. Everybody run while you still have a chance.

I never really look at it in terms of individual shows, but periods where he sounds his best. I'd say Projekt Revolution 2002, most of the post-Summer Sanitarium 2003 shows, the June-September 2004 shows, Summer Sonic 2006, and the first 5-6 shows of 2008 were his best overall periods.

Ryan Shuck confirmed like a year and a half ago that the version on the Underworld soundtrack is a remix that they made more techno-y to fit with the style of the movie.
-
Not the original version.

Alive 2007 is one of the most out-of-tune shows I've ever heard from Chester. He was absolutely terrible at that show, as he was throughout most of the Minutes to Midnight touring cycle with the exception of about the first 5 or 6 shows of 2008. He had shows that were better/worse than normal, but that was the only point during 2007-2008 that I would consider his vocal performances "good," in terms of what I know he's capable of. And I said the BEGINNING of 2003, not 2003 in general. Chester's voice on the first run of European shows before the LPU tour was pretty rough, but it got better after that.
-
He just finished recording the DBS album, and LP has been in the studio working on a new album for several months...?
-
Not necessarily. He sounded pretty bad at the beginning of both the Meteora and MTM touring cycles.
-
I honestly thought Chester sounded pretty bad at Istanbul, but he sounded a lot better at Athens from what I've listened to so far. I wouldn't say he's in "top form" right now, but more often than not, he doesn't sound this good 2 shows into a tour.
-
Either "Give Me Your Name" was re-written/re-titled, or WMG made a typo. I'm gonna go with the latter.
-
I think APFMH sounded better last year than it ever did. People are so quick to point to Chester as the deciding factor in what makes a good live performance, but they seem to forget that Linkin Park was pretty sloppy live from an instrumental standpoint up until about 2004.
-
I bet it wasn't even APFMH. It was probably There They Go and whoever keeps giving you the info didn't know what it was. The fact that they would somehow confuse Hit the Floor with APFMH shows that they really don't have a clue.
-
That means absolutely nothing in regards to whether or not they'll ever play it live again.

http://www.lplive.net/shows/20080629.php - "Hand Held High" > Hands Held High Also, setlists typically list PMA as "Pushing Me Away (Piano Version)" rather than "Pushing Me Away (Piano)," if you want to change that.
-
That's funny, LP has never played this setlist before this tour, and the only show on this tour you're seeing is Knebworth, so I'm puzzled as to how this could be the "4th time you've seen them with that setlist."
-
The AMBO intro to What I've Done is the same intro they've been using for that song for the last year and a half guys, that's what it's always been called.
-
Good riddance to Don't Stay, lol. That song got stale live about 3 years ago.
-
I'm more anxious for this show than the last one, mainly to see if they're going to be rotating setlists at all or just using one for this tour.
-
No, I'm not (although that one was good too). Download the audio, go to the time in the song that I just said it was at. Not hard to understand.

Based on the audio from LP-TR, I pretty much completely re-wrote the Istanbul show notes, feel free to edit/add/delete whatever: Source 1: Video - AUD (HDD HD: Sony HDR-SR10 (1080i)) Location: Varies Taper: LPUtkan Time: 80 mins Format: .m2t / ? Comments: Full show. After 45 minutes, the taper changed his position and moved into the upper sections. Audio released in 192kbps mp3 format on LP-TR.com 2 days after the show. Show Notes: - Linkin Park took the stage 10 minutes late; this possibly leads us to believe a few songs were dropped from the setlist. - This was the first time that 'Session' was played since March 25th, 2003. It was the same "short version" of the song that was used as the show intro in 2003, about half the length of the full song. -'Given Up' featured the same short extended outro from 2008. Brad seemed to come in a little early during the intro (there weren't as many claps before the guitar came in as usual), but it didn't affect the song. -'From the Inside' had the usual extended guitar feedback intro. Joe also messed up and played one of the verse samples during the break before the last chorus. -'No More Sorrow' featured the long intro. -'Points of Authority' featured a new intro. The music from the new intro was also used during the second verse of the song, in a similar manner to what was done throughout 2007-2008. A slightly modified version of the late 2008 intro was also used. The first verse of 'Petrified' was over the intro, and 'There They Go' was over the outro. - Mike messed up the lyrics during the last chorus of 'Points of Authority.' -'What I've Done' featured the AMBO intro. -'Numb' featured the typical piano outro/transition that Mike has been playing since 2007. -'Breaking the Habit' featured a piano intro and the acapella outro. The first part of the intro was new, the second part was the same piano piece that Mike used for the intro starting in the middle of Projekt Revolution 2007. The intro went straight into the song though, instead of Chester singing the first verse over the piano part before the song began like usual. Mike also had some problems with his keyboard during the intro, as some of the notes had a strange warbly sound to them. - Mike rapped the first verse of 'Hands Held High' over the Reanimated intro to 'Crawling'. -'Bleed it Out' featured a new drum solo intro from Rob, and a modified version of the extended outro. Instead of playing through the normal extended outro, stopping, and then playing the ending again in the "slow-fast" manner like they did in 2007-2008, they only played the outro once and sped up near the end of it, and ended the song there. The bridge was also not extended at all. -'New Divide' featured the same short extended intro (the one droning synth note) that was used at the Transformers 2 premiere show. -'Faint' featured the 2007-2008 extended outro. -'One Step Closer' featured the 2008 extended outro. - Mike put a Turkish flag on his keyboard during the show. Chester wrapped it around himself while he sang 'Crawling', and then threw it in the crowd. Other Notes: - First Linkin Park show in Turkey. - Thanks to 'omer' and everyone else that helped out with setlist updates.
