  1. So your sacrificing the actually experience of the show just because of Chester? He can clearly handle 28 songs at least two nights in a row, all 12 of these included. Absolutely no reason to shorten it to 12 songs. I would NOT go to that show.
  2. I agree with the fact that the band shouldn't have to necessary add anything to their set from the old albums, but this argument could go for With You, Runaway, and Points Of Authority. All non-singles that the crowds still LOVE. There's literally no reason for the band to perform those, save for fulfilling the part of the show that are legitimate fans, not just the casual fans. the chief concern is the lack of fucking effort in actually providing a unique set each night. I mean sure, there's not many people who are going to go to more than 2 shows tops in the United States, but in Europe I know a lot of German fans here are going to 3+ shows. Do they really think they can get away with playing all the shortened jams (i.e. Papercut, LITE) and rotating 4-5 songs each night? At least play more shit from your new fucking album, if you dropped the old stuff in favor of those there would be no problem. This issue with Brad is that he obviously only likes playing the stuff he doesn't have to do much in - which is an example of laziness on his part. Fine, he's not the best guitarist, fine he hates the past songs. But I think at least TRYING to have some fun every night or showing some signs of energy when he's actually doing something and not just dancing to the EDM music behind him is kinda part of his job. Also, what exactly is the point of bringing back stuff like NMS and Valentine's Day is you don't give a shit about Forgotten and By Myself? They're pretty much the same standard of "rarity" nowadays, if not more at this point. The fact is, if they don't bring back the old shit, they won't bring back the rare shit. Simple. I'm bringing it up because it's necessary (Fuck you in advance, JZE.), but even Thirty Seconds To Mars plays fucking old stuff at their shows/soundchecks. Yesterday's show in Sao Paulo was probably their best setlist in fucking years. They added the older songs from A Beautiful Lie back in because they could visibly SEE AND HEAR that the fans wanted it. We make it pretty open that we want some rarer shit in the set, shouldn't it cater to what the CROWD wants to hear instead of what THEY want to hear? I feel A Place For My Head would have an equal reaction to With You or No More Sorrow, if not greater. Also, listen to fucking Hannover 2008 if you think the Linkin Park fans make up 5% of the crowd. Who are you kidding? At least 45% of the crowd will be a fan who knows more than just the singles. I was next to guy who was wearing a Xero shirt in Holmdel, for fuck's sake. What, is the other 55% there to hear fucking Burn It Down and New Divide? I'm a bit pissed today, if you haven't noticed. Don't just speak out of what things seem like, think. Brad is lazy and likes to do what he wants to do. That's my opinion on him. He's not the best but he's not the worst at the same time. If he just ENJOYED what he did he would be an excellent guitarist, regardless of talent.
  3. COG now features the Wisdom, Justice, and Love MLK speech during the bridge and the Oppenheimer Radiance speech over the outro.
  4. Setlist is up. Regular Set A, with the exception of the Oppenheimer speech from 'The Radiance' over COG.
  5. Since when do those four songs qualify as the entire show? Mike's Solo went nicely, he just skipped the Maschine stuff because he knew it wouldn't go well. So that's 3/28 of the entire show.
  6. In my defense the video had regular audio last night
  7. The second show of the band's short excursion in Brazil is happening in Brasília! The band will be performing as part of Circuito Banco do Brasil, at the Estacionamento do Estádio Mané Garrincha in Brasília. This will be the band's first time performing in the city. The band performed the first of two dates in Brazil yesterday in Belo Horizonte, and it was... interesting, to say the least. Technical difficulties plagued the band onstage, and Brad was not present at any point in the show (which will likely remain to be true for this show). 'Castle Of Glass' was dropped completely due to Mike having keyboard issues and 'Final Masquerade' and 'Burn It Down' were butchered due to the same issues. Benjamin Chandler, Brad's guitar tech, while making a few mistakes here and there, proved to be a worthy replacement for Brad onstage. 'The Catalyst' refrain was also supposed to be sang over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out', but that was dropped, too. Otherwise, the band performed the regular version of Set B, without having any changes from the Carnivores Tour. Since the issue has arisen, let's take a moment to discuss it: band members missing shows. This isn't the first time it's happened: Phoenix missed a show in 2011 on their Asian Tour, in Bangkok, Thailand due to food poisoning. He was replaced by his tech, Ted. Brad has a history of missing shows: in 2008, the band cancelled two shows in Sweden and Switzerland due to him being ill, he skipped the two promotional shows in 2012 in Japan (Tokyo, Chiba) due to another illness, where he was replaced by his tech, Jeremy, and just skipping the extensive rehearsal in 2011 in Sunrise, Florida. Additionally, while he didn't miss the show, Mike's guitar tech, Kurt, played the 'Shadow Of The Day' solo for him when he broke his hand on the 2007 Australian Tour. A speculation has come up about Brad - has he been skipping the short international tours for a reason? In 2012, the band played two shows in Los Angeles only a few days after the shows in Asia, where he appeared perfectly fine. Coincidentally, the band will be playing two shows in Los Angeles and Las Vegas respectively once they return from Brazil. Is Brad skipping the short international tours because it'd be more convenient to stay at home? While we don't know the true reason that Brad didn't attend to show, we can sure take a few guesses. Check out this performance of 'With You' and 'One Step Closer' live from Belo Horizonte! Despite a few mistakes here and there, Brad's tech did a pretty good job! If you watched the stream, how did you think Ben did? The other bands on the bill also did a pretty great job of rocking the stage! Nação Zumbi and Titãs brought the Brazilian vibe to the stage, rocking out and getting the crowd pumped! Panic! At The Disco played a jamming setlist as well, performing hits like 'The Ballad Of Mona Lisa' and 'Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off', as well as some older tracks like 'Time To Dance' and 'The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage'. The band performed new songs from their recent release, Too Weird To Live, To Rare To Die!, such as 'This Is Gospel' and 'Miss Jackson'. The band ended their set with a bang, with their old jam, 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies'. They will surely continue to huge energy they displayed at tomorrow's last show of Circuito Banco do Brasil! The festival doesn't end there: At the beginning of November, the second leg of the festival will visit cities including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with Kings Of Leon, Paramore, MGMT, Skank, and Pitty. Who's heading to the show? Our friends over at LinkinPark:BR will be there! They've recently scored an interview with Grey Daze members/associates, and want YOU to submit your questions! Post your question here and see if it gets answered! The band will likely perform Set A at this show, since Set B was performed at the previous show in Belo Horizonte. After this show, the band will return to the U.S. to perform at Guitar Center's 50th Anniversary in Los Angeles, California and at the 'Stars Of The Season' Gaia in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band recently released a new song, entitled 'WHITE NOISE' from the soundtrack of Joe's movie, MALL, and it's available for download for free! Check back here or follow us on Twitter for updates on the show! 9. The thing is they have NO time to rehearse in between. After Brazil, fly back to the U.S. for two shows in Vegas and LA, two-three days rest, maybe, then fly to Europe. Anything being rehearsed now is being played in Europe and Brazil.
  10. Assuming LP changes up their setlists, here's what I think they'll play in Brazil/Europe, given that each set contains 28 songs like Chester said: Set A Mashup Intro #2 (or #3, if they're feeling creative) Guilty All The Same Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) Points Of Authority (Shortened Intro) One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) Blackout (Shortened Instrumental) Papercut (Shortened) Runaway (Shortened; Wastelands Transition Outro) Wastelands War Rebellion Castle Of Glass (Experience Version) LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent Joe's Solo Medley Robot Boy (Shortened Instrumental) Burn It Down Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro; Wall Of Noise Outro) Final Masquerade Mike Solo Medley Numb (N/E Intro + Outro) In The End Faint (Ext. Guitar Solo Bridge) Bleed It Out NOTE: Not counting Drawbar as its own song that actually takes up set time, so that's why it's +28.
  11. I think Linkin Park could easily play shows in Latin America and sell relatively well. Also, I'd say rock is pretty popular in Brazil/South America right now - Linkin Park, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and Biffy Clyro are all touring there right now, and those three are probably some of the most popular rock bands currently touring. Dream Theater also played a few shows earlier this month. Hate to bring this up, because I know Princess JZE can't handle it, but 30STM is doing an extensive tour of South America/Latin America. Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Panama. If THEY can play in all these countries I don't see why LP couldn't. MARS even added a second date in Rio de Janeiro because the show they're playing today sold sold out. If MARS can sell out Sao Paulo (Espaço das Americas) and Rio (Fundicao Progresso) I think rock is still very much live in Brazil. This show being almost sold out is another throw at that.
  12. a) Points of Authority and With You were rotated on the tour, each was played probably like 12-14 times in the past two months. POA, fine. With You wasn't played for a whole 6 years since they dropped it and brought it back in 2012, no way they should drop that. c) Papercut fucking EXPLODES live. Overplayed does not mean bad.
  13. The third installment of the LPTV series from the Carnivores Tour is here! The episode features to LPU Summit in Woodlands, Texas, Brad and Jared Leto discussing the Hollywood Bowl VyRT, and Daron Malakian joining the band onstage for 'Rebellion'! Thoughts? This is one of the longest LPTV's in awhile - who's pumped about that? A new piano instrumental track is also featured at 5:08 and another unknown track at the 2 minute mark in the video.
